Abstract

World’s current conditions which are full of uncertainties, threats, dangers and other problems lead the youth to become tougher and resilient in facing any kind of adversity. This study aimed to analyze the differences of resiliency of adolescents by region, poverty, gender, and type of school. This study was a quantitative study and involved 120 adolescents who were selected using multistage random sampling technique. Primary data were obtained by questionnaires which have been developed by researchers. The results showed that teenagers in the urban areas were more exposed to free-sex, freely skipping school, and involved with alcohol, whereas adolescents in the rural area more often experienced an invitation to use drugs. Female adolescent were more often to be invited and forced to be involved in free-sex, whereas male were more frequent involved in smoking and brawl. The portrait of resilience showed that in general the resilience of adolescents in rural areas and those who were schooling in vocational were higher than vice versa. There was no significant difference of resilience between male and female adolescents. However, in particular, the cooperation and communication of male adolescents is higher than for female, while female have higher ability of problem solving and empathy.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze stress management (stressors, coping strategies, and stress symptoms) and family resilience (process and output) of garut flash flood victim families at 1 and 4 months post-disaster. This cross-sectional study involved 120 families (each 60 from the temporary shelter (FTS) and nontemporary shelter (FNTS)) who were chosen by stratified non-proportional random sampling. The results showed that FNTS faced higher stressors and did higher coping strategies than FTS, either at 1 or 4 months post-disaster. Stress symptoms were also higher among FNTS at 1-month post-disaster, while the output of family resilience was higher in FTS at 4 months post-disaster. Stressors significantly influenced stress symptoms at 1-month post-disaster, coping strategies and the process of family resilience. In contrast, stressors influenced stress symptoms at 4 months post-disaster, coping strategies and stress symptoms 1-month post-disaster. The process of family resilience influenced the output of family resilience at 1-month post-disaster. In contrast, the output of family resilience at 4 month post-disaster was influenced by residence, family income per capita, stressors and the process of family resilience. This study reinforces the importance of family resilience in disaster-prone areas.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: SELF-CONTROL AND STUDENTS CONSUMPTIVE BEHAVIOR DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC This study aimed to determine the relationship between self-control and students consumptive behavior during Covid-19 pandemic. By using quantitative methods, this study involved a sample of 91 students. Data was collected using the Self-Control Scale (α = 0.833) and the Consumptive Behavior Scale (α = 0.859). The data were then analyzed using the Pearson correlation test with SPSS 20.0 software for windows. The results showed that there was a significant negative relationship between self-control variables and student consumptive behavior in Covid-19 pandemic. This result means that there is a tendency that higher self-control will lower the consumptive behavior, and vice versa. Further discussion regarding the relationship between the two variables, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, still needs to be carried out. Keywords: Covid-19, Self-Control, Student’s Consumptive Behavior Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya hubungan antara kontrol diri dan perilaku konsumtif mahasiswa di masa pandemi Covid-19. Dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif, penelitian ini melibatkan sebanyak 91 sampel mahasiswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara dengan menggunakan Skala Kontrol Diri (α = 0,833) dan Skala Perilaku Konsumtif (α = 0,859). Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson dengan bantuan software SPSS 20.0 for windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara variabel kontrol diri dan perilaku konsumtif mahasiswa pada masa pandemi Covid-19. Hasil ini bermakna bahwa terdapat kecenderungan semakin tinggi kontrol diri mahasiswa maka akan semakin rendah perilaku konsumtif yang dilakukan, begitupula sebaliknya. Diskusi lebih lanjut mengenai hubungan antara kedua variabel terutama selama masa pandemi Covid-19 masih perlu dilakukan. Kata kunci: Covid-19, Kontrol Diri, Perilaku Konsumtif Mahasiswa

Abstract

Self-disclosure, the act of revealing personal thoughts and emotions to others, is crucial in interpersonal communication. This study investigates the interplay between narcissistic tendencies, the need for affiliation, and self-disclosure among Instagram-utilizing college students. The sample consisted of 93 students selected through purposive sampling. Measurement tools included scales for self-disclosure, narcissistic tendencies, and affiliation needs. The data was analyzed using multiple regression facilitated by JASP software version 0.16.1.0 for Windows. The findings revealed significant associations between narcissistic tendencies, the need for affiliation, and self-disclosure. Specifically, narcissistic tendencies correlated with self-disclosure, yielding a coefficient of (rx1-y) = 0.582 and P < 0.001, contributing to 25.54% of the variance. Furthermore, the need for affiliation demonstrated a relationship with self-disclosure, with a coefficient of (rx2-y) = 0.504 and P < 0.001, contributing to 11.34% of the variance.

Abstract

Pelatihan ini difokuskan pada anak-anak dan remaja di Desa Bumi Agung dengan tujuan untuk memperkuat kemampuan anak-anak dan remaja dalam menghasilkan produk tekstil menggunakan teknik eco-print, serta memberikan wawasan baru dalam mengatasi tantangan ekonomi melalui wirausaha berbasis teknik eco-print. Program ini juga mendukung inisiatif pemerintah untuk menciptakan produk yang ramah lingkungan. Bagi mitra, pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam menerapkan teknik eco-print, dengan harapan akan memberikan dampak positif pada peningkatan kualitas hidup masyarakat di Desa Bumi Agung. Metode pelatihan yang digunakan adalah metode pounding, di mana daun atau bunga dipukul ke atas kain menggunakan palu untuk mencetak motif alami. Penyelenggaraan pelatihan didasarkan pada hasil observasi mahasiswa KKN yang mengidentifikasi kurangnya pemanfaatan daun sebagai bahan baku untuk menciptakan produk bernilai ekonomi.Kata Kunci: Pelatihan, eco-print, Kreativitas Lingkungan

Abstract

The advancement of technology in the 5.0 era necessitates that students develop strong digital literacy skills. This study examines the relationship between university support and students' digital literacy levels. Utilizing a quantitative research approach, data were collected from 99 respondents through two structured questionnaires: one measuring digital literacy and the other assessing university support. The data were analyzed using descriptive and correlational techniques with SPSS software. The findings reveal a significant positive correlation between university support and students' digital literacy. These results highlight that enhanced university support is associated with improved digital literacy skills among students. This study underscores the critical role of universities in delivering quality educational services that foster students' digital competence

Abstract

Students, as the younger generation, must have adequate digital literacy skills to adapt and develop in this era. This research aims to identify and analyze portraits of students' digital literacy skills in Indonesia in the 5.0 era. This research used quantitative methods involving 99 student respondents from various campuses throughout Indonesia. The instrument used in this research is a questionnaire developed by Nugroho (2020), which uses the digital literacy measurement component from Digital Digital Literacy Across the Curriculum (Hague & Payton, 2010) with a reliability score of α = 0.961. The research results showed that most (73%) respondents were in the medium digital literacy skills category. The results also show that stu3edents achieved high scores in the skills components of seeking and selecting information, communication, digital security, collaboration, and creativity. Mid-average scores were achieved for the functional skills component, critical thinking, and evaluation abilities. Meanwhile, the lowest score was in the social and cultural understanding component. The findings of this research can be used for various purposes, such as designing digital literacy education and training programs that are right on target, developing digital tools and platforms that are easy to use by people with various levels of digital literacy, and creating effective policies and regulations related to digital literacy.

Abstract

Work-family balance menjadi isu penting bagi pekerja ritel yang dihadapkan pada tuntutan pekerjaan yang tinggi serta kewajiban dalam kehidupan keluarga. Ketidakseimbangan antara kedua aspek ini dapat menyebabkan stres, kelelahan, dan penurunan kinerja. Faktor individu seperti conscientiousness serta faktor situasional seperti beban kerja dan dukungan dari atasan berpotensi memengaruhi keseimbangan ini. Studi ini berupaya untuk menguji dampak beban kerja dan conscientiousness pada work-family balance, sekaligus mengevaluasi efek moderasi family supportive supervisor behaviours (FSSB). Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis regresi moderasi pada 317 pekerja ritel PT Indomarco Prismatama Lampung yang diambil dengan teknik random sampling. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa beban kerja dan conscientiousness secara signifikan memengaruhi work-family balance, dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (<0,05) untuk kedua faktor tersebut. Meskipun demikian, FSSB tidak memengaruhi korelasi antara beban kerja dan work-family balance (nilai signifikansi 0,859 > 0,05). Sebaliknya, FSSB secara substansial memoderasi korelasi antara conscientiousness dan work-family balance, dengan nilai signifikansi 0,027 (<0,05). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa dukungan supervisor terkait tuntutan keluarga meningkatkan dampak conscientiousness individu terhadap kapasitas mereka untuk mencapai work-family balance. Penemuan ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya bantuan supervisor dalam membina work-family balance, khususnya bagi orang yang menunjukkan tingkat conscientiousness yang tinggi.

Abstract

Parental divorce can affect how an individual develops self-esteem and self-disclosure in themselves. This study aimed to determine the relationship between self-esteem and, self-disclosure, and fear of intimacy. This study uses a quantitative research design involving 300 participants. Participants were obtained through purposive sampling techniques with the criteria of individuals who have divorced parents and are 18-25 years old. The data were then analyzed using a multivariate analysis method using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of the LISREL 8.80 program. The results showed that self-esteem and self-disclosure were negatively and significantly correlated with fear of intimacy. The findings of this study indicate that self-esteem and self-disclosure are important factors that play a role in the development of fear of intimacy in young adults. This study implies that interventions to increase self-esteem and self-disclosure can help reduce fear of intimacy.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji perbedaan tekanan psikologis dan kesejahteraan subjektif keluarga di wilayah perdesaan dan perkotaan. Penelitian ini merupakan subsampling dari penelitian utama mengenai “Keragaan Ketahanan Keluarga Indonesia”. Penelitian ini mengambil dua lokasi dari penelitian utama yakni Kelurahan Empang dan Mulyaharja dengan melibatkan 60 orang contoh. Data diperoleh melalui hasil wawancara menggunakan kuesioner yang dikembangkan oleh peneliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lebih dari separuh (60,2%) keluarga di kedua wilayah mengalami tekanan psikologis berupa hal-hal yang mengkhawatirkan. Hampir separuh (46,7%) keluarga di wilayah perdesaan dan hampir seperempat (23,3%) keluarga di wilayah perkotaan memiliki kesejahteraan subjektif yang rendah. Hasil uji beda independent sample t-test menunjukkan bahwa tekanan psikologis dan kesejahteraan subjektif lebih tinggi pada keluarga di wilayah perkotaan.Kata kunci: tekanan psikologis, kesejahteraan subjektif, keluarga, perdesaan, perkotaan
