Abstract

Jarak pagar (Jatropha curcas L.) merupakan salah satu komoditi perkebunan tropis yang memiliki potensi sebagai  pengganti bahan bakar minyak. Biji jarak pagar mengandung kadar minyak cukup tinggi dan sangat potensial sebagai bahan baku biodiesel.  Kegiatan penelitian ini bertujuan mendapatkan informasi tentang tingkat produksi biji, kualitas crude jatropha oil dan biodiesel  J.curcas Linn. sebagai sumber biofuels. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Kedung Pengaron Pasuruan dan Laboratorium Teknologi Minyak Nabati Universitas Muhammadiayh Malang. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok empat ulangan. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa genotip J.curcas berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap rerata jumlah buah per tanaman, jumlah biji per tanaman, berat kering biji per tanaman dan kadar minyak biji. Jumlah buah per tanaman dan berat kering biji per tanaman yang dihasilkan genotip JCUMM (JCUMM-5, JCUMM-6, JCUMM-7, JCUMM-18) lebih tinggi daripada kontrol IP3A dan IP3P. Jumlah biji per tanaman berkisar 91,3 (IP3P) hingga 236,6 (JCUMM-5). Berat  kering 100 biji dari berbagai genotip J.curcas berkisar antara 64,1 g (JCUMM-6) hingga 69,7 g (JCUMM-5) sedangkan kadar minyak biji berkisar antara 39,5% (JCUMM-6) hingga 57,7% (JCUMM-7). Hasil uji esterifikasi menunjukkan hasil Free Fatty Acid dari crude jatropha oil berkisar antara 0,2% (JCUMM-18) hingga 1,97% (IP3A). Seluruh genotip memiliki kadar FFA kurang dari 2% sehingga masih layak dipergunakan sebagai bahan biodiesel. Nilai bilangan asam yang diperoleh antara 2,9 mg-KOH/g (JCUMM-6) hingga 6,40 mg-KOH/g (IP3A). Sedangkan bilangan Iodine diperoleh hasil antara 94,5 g I2/100g (JCUMM-5) hingga 102,4 g I2/100g (JCUMM-6)

Abstract

Internal Permanent Magnet brushless DC motor is one of the various types of electric motors using permanent magnets that are inserted into the rotor's core without having to stick it like a permanent magnet motor mounted on the surface.This motor has better torque characteristics, high efficiency, and sturdy construction. But the consequences in the use of permanent magnets can’t be separated from the interaction between the permanent magnetic field mounted by the rotor with stator teeth. So that development is needed to obtain the results of better cogging torque and efficiency, such as variations in the external rotor IPM-V angular range of 80 °, 90 ° and 100 ° in 18 slots and 16 pole models which are simulated using the Infolytica Magnet application based on Finite Element Method (FEM), the data is processed using Microsoft Excel, so that the output will be a parameter in the Simulink MATLAB 2016a modeling to get the characteristics of the design motor. Variation testing on the motor is done at a speed of 2100 rpm. The results of the test show that the minimum cogging torque value in the angle model of the 90 ° magnetic range is 1.64 Nm with the highest efficiency of 80.6%. Smaller cogging torque values will reduce vibration or noise when the motor is spinning. The high value of efficiency indicates the losses that cause heating on the motor are smaller, so that the motor operating period becomes longer.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) perencanaan pembelajaran menyusun teks ulasan siswa kelas VII berdasarkan K-13, (2) pelaksanaan pembelajaran menyusun teks ulasan siswa kelas VII berdasarkan K-13, (3) penilian pembelajaran menyusun teks ulasan siswa kelas VII berdasarkan K-13. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam jenis penelitian studi kasus dengan obejek penelitian yaitu guru bahasa Indonesia di MTs. Muhammadiyah 1 Malang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, dokumentasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian yaitu (1) perencanaan pembelajaran menyusun teks ulasan siswa kelas VIII berdasarkan K-13, RPP yang dirancang oleh guru telah sesuai dengan standar proses Kurikulum 2013, (2) pelaksanaan pembelajaran menyusun teks ulasan siswa kelas VIII berdasarkan K-13, kegiatan pembelajaran dengan mengamati, bertanya, menumpulkan informasi, menegosiasi, menganalisis, dan memaparkan informasi dalam pembelajaran yang berpusat pada peserta didik, (3) deskripsi penilaian pembelajaran menyusun teks ulasan siswa kelas VIII berdasarkan K-13, yaitu menerapkan aspek penilaian berdasarkan tiga ranah domain(kognitif, psikomotorik, dan sikap). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran menyususn teks ulasan siswa kelas VIII di MTs. Muhammadiyah 1 Malang telah sesuai dengan standar proses Kurikulum 2013 mulai dari perencanaan pembelajaran, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, serta penilaian pembelajaran.

Abstract

Dalam pelaksanaan pengabdian ini kami memberikan pemahaman dan pelatihan akan searching dan drafting paten sesuai kebutuhan dari peserta. Untuk searching kami berikan dengan menunjukkan pilihan metode dalam searching paten beserta kegunaannya, seperti searching untuk mencari state of the art, searching untuk mencari perusahaan pesaing, searching untuk mencari peneliti pada bidang yang sama, termasuk metode khusus dalam searching untuk pencarian data bidang farmasi. Setelah memahami searching baru kami memberikan materi tentang drafting paten, metode yang kami gunakan adalah metode pembelajaran dengan pemberian materi, diskusi diikuti melakukan praktik searching dan drafting paten, metode ini terbukti efektif karena mampu meningkatkan pemahaman peserta akan searching dan drafting paten. Pelatihan searching dan drafting paten ini dilakukan dalam rangka meningkatkan pemahaman peserta dan peningkatan pendaftaran kekayaan intelektual khususnya paten. Metode searching dan drafting paten memang bukanlah hal yang mudah untuk dipelajari sehingga pasti kedepan masih dibutuhkan penguatan penguatan bagi peserta dengan mengikuti pelatihan lanjutan, dengan metode pemberian materi diikuti dengan pelatihan menjadikan proses ini berjalan dengan efektif.   Patent Searching and Drafting Training At Muhammadiyah University of Mataram. In the implementation of this service, we provide understanding and training on searching and drafting patents according to the needs of participants. For searching we provide by showing methods for searching patents and their uses, such as searching for state of the art, searching for competing companies, searching for looking for researchers in the same field, including special methods in searching for data searching in the pharmaceutical field, after understanding the new searching we provide material about patent drafting, the method we use is the learning method by providing material, discussion followed by the practice of searching and drafting patents, methods This has proven to be effective because it is able to increase participants' understanding of patent searching and drafting, this training on patent searching and drafting is carried out in order to increase participants' understanding and increase intellectual property registration, especially patents, patent searching and drafting methods are effective. g is not an easy thing to learn so that in the future there will still be a need for strengthening reinforcement for participants by attending further training, with the method of providing material followed by training to make this process run effectively.

Abstract

This study was intended to describe (1) the characteristics of the argument bar movement in relative clauses, (2) the characteristics of the relative clause structure, and (3) the suitability of the relative clause structure produced by BIPA students. This research was a qualitative descriptive case study. This research data were relative clauses sourced from BIPA students' speeches at the beginner and intermediate levels at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The data collection method used was the listening method with tapping, recording, note-taking, and hidden fishing techniques. Data analysis was carried out by identifying the predication-argument relationship with theta theory, identifying the deep structure and surface structure, analyzing movement objectives, movement traces, and movement consequences by utilizing the subjacency condition theory. The results showed that the characteristics of the argument bar movement in the relative clauses generated by 92% of BIPA students were in the form of short movements and did not exceed one bounding node. Based on the Indonesian language rules, most of the relative clauses produced by BIPA students were appropriate (75%). It shows that BIPA students have fully understood the relative clause structure.

Abstract

Berlimpahnya sumber informasi merupakan hasil dari kemajuan teknologi yang begitu pesat. Kemajuan teknologi yang begitu pesat harus diimbangi dengan keterampilan membaca, salah satunya adalah keterampilan membaca cepat yang digunakan untuk memahami sumber informasi yang lebih luas. Tinjauan pustaka sistematis ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan temuan artikel penelitian yang diterbitkan oleh Perkumpulan Pengelola Jurnal Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia serta Pengajarannya (PPJB-SIP). Kata kunci yang digunakan untuk menemukan artikel di database PPJB-SIP adalah “membaca cepat”. Hasil pencarian menemukan 58 publikasi, selanjutnya terpilih 15 naskah yang memenuhi kriteria untuk dianalisis. Item pelaporan yang dipilih untuk tinjauan pustaka sistematis dan meta-analisis adalah model inklusi dan eksklusi. Dalam tiga tahun terakhir, jumlah publikasi didominasi tahun 2018 dengan jumlah publikasi sebanyak 5 artikel. Jenis penelitian yang dugunakan oleh peneliti dalam mengulas keterampilan membaca cepat adalah kuantitatif, kualitatif, dan PTK. Subjek penelitian yang digunakan oleh para peneliti terdiri dari siswa kelas VII, Siswa Kelas VIII, siswa kelas XI, siswa IX, dan mahasiswa. Struktur publikasi dan kutipan mengungkapkan bahwa, dari 15 makalah yang telah diterbitkan, telah dikutip 128 kali, dengan publikasi dari tahun 2018 menerima kutipan terbanyak, sejumlah 35 kali. Penulis yang memiliki rekam jejak publikasi yang mengulas keterampilan membaca sebagai dasar untuk melakukan kajian terhadap keterampilan membaca cepat adalah (1) Endry Boeriswati, (2) Zulela MS, dan (3) Falina Noor Amalia, ketiganya memiliki jejak publikasi sebanyak 14 artikel. Institusi penulis terbagi dalam dua institusi yaitu sekolah (27%) dan perguruan tinggi (73%), serta kolaborasi penulis menunjukkan jumlah yang tidak jauh terpaut, di mana penulis yang melakukan kolaborasi sebanyak 7 dan penulis tunggal sebanyak 8. Terdapat 5 gagasan untuk direfleksikan oleh calon guru Bahasa Indonesia atau guru Bahasa Indonesia dalam mengajarkan keterampilan membaca cepat.

Abstract

Literacy competencies are important for students to keep abreast of the pace in the 4.0 industrial age. Misunderstanding of the concept of literacy may result in the incorrect application of literacy acculturation. This study is aimed at 1) describing teachers’ misconceptions of reading literacy and 2) describing the implementation of students’ reading literacy acculturation at school. Data were collected from teachers’ and students’ statements and activities during the literacy acculturation activities in the participating schools from 19 regencies in East Java, Indonesia. Additional data were in the forms of documents and field notes obtained from observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentary studies. The results show that: 1) the concept of literacy is understood as literal and mechanistic reading, and 2) schools tend to apply formal literacy activities by asking students to read texts 15 minutes before classes begin. Several problems are found in most research sites in which there is no follow-up on the given free reading assignments, teachers and school principals neither become literacy models, the availability of fiction and non-fiction books is limited, and students are not highly motivated to follow the reading literacy program. This study implies the urgent need to improve all school stakeholders understanding of the literacy concept and provide better activities for the implementation of the reading literacy acculturation program in schools.

Abstract

The abundance of information sources is the result of rapid technological advances. Rapid technological advances must be balanced with reading skills, one of which is critical reading skills used to filter information sources. This systematic literature review aims to compare the findings of research articles published by the Science and Technology Index (SINTA). The keyword used to find articles in the SINTA database is "critical reading." The search results found 78 articles, then 23 articles were selected that met the criteria for analysis. The reporting items selected for the systematic literature review and meta-analysis were the inclusion and exclusion models. In the last ten years, the number of publications dominated in 2016 with six articles. The types of research used by researchers in reviewing critical reading skills are R & D, quantitative, qualitative, and CAR. The research subjects used by the researchers consisted of class X high school students, class VII junior high school students, class VIII junior high school students, fifth-grade elementary school students, and junior high school teachers. The publication and citation structure reveals that, out of 23 articles, they have been cited 114 times, with the 2016 publication having the most citations, a total of 46 times. Writers who have a track record of publications covering critical reading skills are (1) Nuria Reny Hariyati, (2) Hespi Septiana, and (3) Endah Tri Priyatni, all three of whom have a publication track record of 10 articles. The writing institutions are divided into two institutions, namely schools (13%) and colleges (87%), and the collaboration of writers shows a number that is quite far apart, where 14 authors collaborate and nine single authors. There are eight ideas for reflection by Indonesian teachers in teaching critical reading skills.

Abstract

BIPA (Bahasa Indonesia for Foreign Speaker) is a Bahasa Indonesia teaching program for foreign speaker. In this program, foreign speakers or students are grouped into three levels, beginner (A), intermediate (B), and advanced (C) levels. Aspects of language skills in BIPA learning are reading, listening, speaking, and writing. This article aims to find out the irregularity of Bahasa Indonesia sentence structure and the irregularity of writing sentence structure in BIPA UMM students essays. This research was compiled using a qualitative method with a descriptive type. The source of the data in this study were sentences in BIPA UMM students essays in the A2 level writing skills class for the Mid Semester Examination. The result of data analysis from BIPA UMM student essays, found irregularity sentence structure and diction placement errors in student essays.

Abstract

When it comes to teaching and learning English, teachers and students face several challenges, particularly in terms of fatigue and uncertainty. As a result of this situation, English teachers must emphasize their concerns about using appropriate resources in English subjects in schools and colleges, such as using online learning resources to increase students' motivation to learn EFL. This present study is aimed at: (1) exploring the teaching materials, media, methods, strategies, teaching procedures/learning activities, and the assessments used in online learning resources to increase students’ motivation in EFL learning, and (2) investigating information in terms of students’ motivation documented with literature data serving as the primary source of information. While, the type of research was content analysis. The results show that through the use of relevant and engaging content, combined with technology-based tools and a student-centered approach, a dynamic learning environment is created. Therefore, the adaptability of assessments and learning activities to students' needs further supports their language development, fostering motivation and achievement in English language learning. Overall, a holistic approach that integrates these elements proves to be highly effective in promoting English proficiency through online resources.
