Abstract

Nilam (Pogostemon cablin Bent) merupakan salah satu tanaman penghasil minyak atsiri yang penting, menyumbang devisa lebih dari 50% dari total ekspor minyak atsiri Indonesia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat kesuburan tanah pada tanaman Nilam di  Desa Balingara dan Desa Bella Kecamatan Nuhon. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan pada Bulan Agustus Tahun 2021 dengan metode survei eksplorasif-deskriptif. Hasil penelitian sifat fisik tanah tanaman nilam di Desa Balingara bertekstur lempung berliat dan Desa Bella bertekstur lempung, hasil analisis sifat kimia tanah memiliki kriteria yaitu pH tanah netral, C-organik rendah, P2O5  sedang, K2O sedang sampai rendah, KTK tinggi sampai sedang dan KB sedang, dengan status kesuburan  tanah rendah walaupun status rendah tetapi lahan dilokasi penelitian cukup sesuai untuk tanaman nilam

Abstract

Pentingya tanaman  hortikultura terhadap masyarakat potil pololoba sehinga perlunya penilaian kesesuaian lahan untuk pengembangannya. Adapun penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan kesesuaian lahan  dan menentukan faktor pembatas serta mengetahui tanaman hortikultura apa yang layak dikembangkan dan dibudidayakan di Desa Potil Pololoba Kabupaten Banggai Laut. Dalam penelitian ini mengunakan metode survey lapangan dengan akar kuadrat Kiddir. Sehinga diperoleh hasil Kesesuaian lahan tanaman hortikultura (Semangka, Mentimun, Cabai, Tomat, Terong dan Bayam Merah) pada titik A dan D tergolong tidak sesuai namun pada titik B dan C dapat dilakukan pengembangan dan pembudidayaan tanaman hortikultura karena tergolong sesuai marginal. Adapun faktor pembatas kelas kesesuaian lahan untuk pengembangan tanaman hortikultura di Desa Potil Pololoba Kabupaten Banggai Laut untuk tanaman Semangka, Mentimun, Cabai, Tomat, Terong dan Bayam Merah yaitu  kapasitas tukar katium, kejenuhan basa, pH, C-Organik, dan kemiringan lereng sehinga perlunya dilakukan upaya perbaikan dengan penambahan bahan organic dan pemberian pupuk yang sesuai serta pembuatan teras bangku atau penanaman sejajar kontur dengan biyaya yang relatif sedang sampai tingi.

Abstract

Corn is an agricultural commodity that specializes in food crops that are cultivated as the mainstay of the people of Simpang Raya District, which is used as a staple food to replace rice. But, the main obstacle is that the corn production obtained is not optimal. This is because the corn cropland has not been managed properly, one of which is in terms of soil fertility. Therefore, efforts are needed to increase optimal production by evaluating soil fertility in the Corn crop area in Simpang Raya. This research was carried out in Simpang Raya District from June to October 2022, where the activity was to conduct a survey and soil sampling in 5 locations that were chosen intentionally and were considered to be representative of the entire corn cropland in Simpang Raya District. The criteria for assessing soil fertility on corn cropland at the research location are adjusted to the determination of soil fertility status referring to the Soil Research Center. After that, it will be adjusted using the matching method between the quality of the land obtained with the condition that the growing criteria for corn crops refer to the Center for Research and Development of Agricultural Land resources. The results showed that soil fertility in corn cropland is classified as low. Furthermore, the determination of soil fertility based on the criteria of the corn crop as a whole obtained marginal status. This is because the content of KB, P2O5, and K2O in the corn fields representing the research area is relatively low. so, the need for land management by providing organic matter and intensive fertilization so that the soil fertility status of corn land in Simpang Raya District can increase and meet the nutrient needs of corn plants, that way the corn crop will get optimal production results

Abstract

Corn (Zea mays) is a very important food crop for society. Currently the government is trying to increase corn production, namely by using fertilizer so that placement is more effective, it is necessary to know the nutrient status around the plant. Phosphorus is one of the three nutrients that plays an important role in plant growth. The land in South Balantak District is mostly land with different heights. Altitude affects phosphorus uptake in the soil. Seeing its easily fixed nature and the presence of phosphorus in the soil which is small but needed in large quantities, the role of P is very important in maintaining the availability of phosphorus for the growth of corn plants. This encourages the need to evaluate the current and available P nutrient status, especially in corn fields in South Balantak District. The aim of this research is to determine the phosphorus nutrient content in corn fields at different altitudes according to land units in South Balantak District. This research was carried out in October 2023 – January 2024. Four representative samples were taken of soil from corn fields at different heights in South Balantak District. This research uses a descriptive survey method. The results of soil analysis of phosphorus nutrients at the research location at an altitude of 0 to 150 meters above sea level were classified as low. Meanwhile, at an altitude of > 150 to 250 meters above sea level, the phosphorus content is classified as moderate.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the potential of vegetable crops in Lake Alani, Buko Village, South Buko District, Banggai Islands Regency and recommend the distribution of directions for the development of vegetable crops in Lake Alani, Banggai Islands Regency. This research will be carried out in Lake Alani and its surroundings located in Buko Village, South Buko District, Banggai Islands Regency. This research will be conducted in March - May 2023. Research is conducted in qualitative form to identify the quality and characteristics of land as parameters. Data on the quality and characteristics of the land are then compared (matching) with the criteria of land suitability classes that have been prepared based on the requirements for use or growing needs of Lettuce (Lactuca sativa) and Eggplant (Solanum melongena), where in the results of plant criteria obtained the actual land suitability class at the research site on Lettuce (Lactuca sativa) and Eggplant (Solanum melongena) classified as class (S3 = marginal), then by increasing improvement efforts obtained potential land suitability classes in lettuce and eggIn general, both types of vegetable crops namely Lettuce (Lactuca sativa) and Eggplant (Solanum melongena) can be developed for cultivation at the research site in Lake Alani, Buko Village, South Buko District, Banggai Islands Regency, by carrying out land processing such as liming or adding organic matter and fertilization plant crops are classified (S2 = moderately appropriate) in the development of vegetable crops.
