Abstract

This service activity aims to increase teacher digital literacy in blended learning. The method used in service activities was the assistance carried out by observation, preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The dedication partner was Rumbio Jaya State Senior High School 4. The instrument for evaluating this activity used a questionnaire which was analyzed descriptively. The results of the community service that had been carried out and evaluated showed an increase in teacher digital literacy. This increase was shown by the teacher's understanding before the activity, from an average score of 3.11 to an average of 3.30 after the activity was carried out. However, even though there has been an increase, teachers still need to maximize their ability to use technology to support the implementation of blended learning better.

Abstract

Berdasarkan Badan Pusat Statistik 2022 Tingkat Pengangguran Terbuka (TPT) mencapai 11,53 juta orang. Saat ini sekolah mengkhawatirkan tingginya angka pengangguran termasuk mitra karena bagi siswa yang tidak melanjutkan ke perguruan tinggi dan tidak mempunyai soft skill yang cukup akan mengalami kesulitan ketika terjun di masyarakat dan akan menambah jumlah pengangguran, dimana kondisi permasalahan mitra saat ini yang menjadi sasaran pengabdian adalah masih rendahnya minat dan pemahaman siswa terkait pentingnya entrepreneurship yang mengakibatkan ketika siswa tidak melanjutkan pendidikan mereka mengalami kesulitan untuk mengembangkan usaha sehingga menjadi pengangguran, serta masih belum maksimalnya pihak sekolah menggiatkan target praktek pengembangan kewirausahaan dan proses pembelajaran masih terfokus pada capaian akademis dan belum diintegrasikan dengan pemanfaatan produk di sekitar siswa. Berdasarkan hal tersebut telah dilakukan edukasi entrepreneurship ini sebagai solusi permasalahan dengan tujuan peserta didik mendapatkan pemahaman entrepreneurship yang lebih baik agar dapat mempersiapkan diri dalam menciptakan lapangan kerja, mengentaskan pengangguran dan keterpurukan ekonomi dengan kemampuan entrepreneurship yang dimiliki, hal ini dimulai dari penerapan kegiatan entrepreneur sederhana dengan project akhir di beberapa mata pelajaran. Sebelum kegiatan workshop diukur pemahaman awal siswa terkait entreprenurship berupa kuis dari aplikasi kahoot dengan hasil 50,59%, kemudian setelah workshop terjadi peningkatan menjadi 70,58%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya kegiatan ini dapat menambah kesadaran dan pemahaman siswa terkait entreprenurship.Kata Kunci: entreprenurship, usaha, soft skill

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan program ekstrakurikuler SELASAR (Sains Eksploratif Langsung dari Sumber Alam dan Ruang Lokal) di SMPN 4 Siak Hulu, Riau. Program dirancang untuk memperkuat pembelajaran sains kontekstual dan pemanfaatan potensi sains lokal. Kegiatan diikuti oleh guru-guru IPA dan 25 orang siswa kelas IX. Metode meliputi sosialisasi kepada kepala sekolah dan guru IPA, pelatihan teknik eksplorasi serta dokumentasi, pendampingan school-yard inventory tumbuhan (identifikasi morfologi, klasifikasi, dokumentasi spesies tumbuhan), laporan hasil eksplorasi lapangan. Data kualitatif dan teknik analisis dihimpun melalui observasi terstruktur serta telaah produk hasil eksplorasi lingkungan sekolah. Hasil menunjukkan terbentuknya program ektrakurikuler eksplorasi sains lokal di lingkungan sekolah, portofolio hasil identifikasi (laporan, poster/infografis), peningkatan keterlibatan dan ketelitian deskripsi siswa, serta kesiapan guru menyelaraskan SELASAR dengan topik pembelajaran. Umpan balik sekolah mengindikasikan kelayakan adopsi berkelanjutan. Disimpulkan bahwa SELASAR efektif meningkatkan relevansi belajar dan praktik komunikasi ilmiah siswa. Selanjutnya akan dilakukan analisis data dengan pengukuran kuantitatif untuk memperkuat bukti dampak dan replikasi.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of teachers in creating digital teaching materials based on flipbooks to realize a multimedia-based Islamic school. The implementation method of this community service involved training and mentoring 34 teachers at Arsyad Islamic School in Pekanbaru. The instruments used include questionnaires on the percentage of technology usage in teaching and questionnaires on the teachers' abilities related to using digital teaching material creation applications, which were then analyzed descriptively. The results of this community service showed that there was an improvement in teachers' understanding of the role of technology in teaching and their ability to produce digital learning resources such as flipbooks. Before the training, 48.4% did not master the skills, 31.3% had a sufficient level of mastery, 18.8% were proficient, and 0% were highly proficient in creating digital teaching materials. After the training, there was an improvement, with 0% having no mastery, 34.4% having a sufficient level of mastery, 50% being proficient, and 12.5% being highly proficient. It indicates that the community service activity has impacted teachers' understanding and skills.

Abstract

Penelitian pendahuluan ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh data awal yang akan digunakan sebagai dasar pengembangan modul pengajaran kimia organik yang berisi hasil-hasil penelitian bagi mahasiswa pendidikan kimia. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE yang dilakukan sampai dengan tahap Analisis dengan tahapan berupa analisis Kurikulum dan RPS (Rencana Pembelajaran Semester), Analisis Dosen, dan Analisis Kemahasiswaan. Berdasarkan hasil kurikulum dan analisis RPS, mata kuliah kimia organik dipresentasikan dalam dua semester, yaitu Kimia Organik 1 dan Kimia Organik 2, yang secara umum terdiri dari 10 materi utama. Hasil wawancara dengan dosen pengajar menyatakan bahwa bahan ajar yang digunakan masih berupa PPT, sedangkan hasil analisis mahasiswa menyatakan bahwa sebanyak 52,6% mahasiswa menyatakan bahwa bahan ajar yang digunakan dosen tidak memenuhi kebutuhan mahasiswa dalam memahami materi pembelajaran. Sebanyak 84,2% mahasiswa membutuhkan bahan ajar lain untuk lebih memahami materi dalam mata kuliah kimia organik. Berdasarkan data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa perlu dikembangkan bahan ajar berupa modul-modul terpadu hasil penelitian bagi mahasiswa pendidikan kimia.

Abstract

The current condition is still limited to analytical chemistry teaching materials that are integrated with research results, only using Analytical Chemistry textbooks as teaching materials or in the form of e-books. This is one of the causes of the lack of student interest in participating in the teaching and learning process. The purpose of this research is to produce innovative teaching materials in analytical chemistry based on research results, aiming to enhance students' interest in learning.This research is the initial stage as a basis for developing analytical chemistry e-modules integrated with research results. The development model used is ADDIE which consists of five stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. This research is limited to the needs analysis stage which includes RPS analysis, analysis of problems and needs of lecturers and problems and needs of students. Data collection instruments used interviews and questionnaires. The subjects of this study consisted of 6 Analytical Chemistry lecturers and 59 students from Riau Province, Riau Islands, North Sumatra, and West Java. The research results of this preliminary analysis include RPS analysis where there are 10 topics of study material and based on the needs questionnaire the topic of quantitative analysis is the topic with the highest percentage to be developed into an e-module. Then also obtained the results that there are still some shortcomings with the teaching materials used today, so that 98% of lecturers and students stated that they need the development of teaching materials, especially those that are digital-based and can be integrated with research results which are evidence of the implementation of analytical chemistry learning theory.

Abstract

The current condition is still limited in integrated chemistry teaching materials with TPACK(TechnologicalPedagogicalContentKnowledge)especially in Green Chemistry material because this material is a new material in the realm of the merdeka curriculum in 10th Grade of E Phase in Senior High School. Teachers only use printed books as teaching materials or additional materials made in the form of PPTs and modules from the Ministry of Education.This is one of the causes of several problems in learning. This research is the initial stage as the basis for the development of an integrated green chemistry e-module with TPACK. The development model used is ADDIE which consists of five stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation.This research is limited to the needs analysis stage which includes the analysis of Learning Outcomes (CP) of E Phase, and analysis of topics on chemistry materials, analysis of problems and needs of teachers and problems and needs of students. The data collection instrument uses interviews and questionnaires. The subjects of this study consisted of 12 chemistry teachers and 84 students from Riau and Kepulauan Riau Province. The results of this preliminary analysis research include an analysis of the subject matter of 10th Grade class while there are 5 material topics and based on the questionnaire the needs of these topics include the topics with the highest percentage to be developed into e-modules because they are considered difficult by most respondents. Then the results were also obtained that there are still some shortcomings in the teaching materials used today, so that 94% of students and 100% of teachers stated that they need the development of TPACK-based teaching materials.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and examine the validity of module development based on the research outcome on Phytoremediation. This phytoremediation material was one of the topics in the Biotechnology course studied by Biology Education students. The research method used research and development with the ADDIE model, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. However, this research was conducted until the development stage. The data were the percentage of product validity from validation sheets and the responses obtained from validation results by material and media experts. Limited trials were subsequently conducted on students of Biology Education who had taken Biotechnology classes. The data analysis technique used qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The validation results based on the material experts were 79.74% (very valid), while based on the learning experts, it was 97.50% (very valid). Then, the results of small group trials obtained a percentage of 90.70% (very valid). moduleModules development was very valid and feasible to be implemented. This module was expected to raise the students’ effectiveness in attending lectures because the source of teaching materials was more applicable.

Abstract

Education today requires the implementation of contextual, responsive, and culturally sensitive approaches to create learning that is relevant to the daily lives of students and more inclusive. To date, research on ethnoscience in science education has primarily focused on the development of learning models, the implementation of ethnoscience in the classroom, or conceptual studies on the integration of culture in science learning. Studies that specifically analyze science textbooks as the primary learning resource are still limited and tend to be descriptive, without directly linking them to teachers' perceptions and the development of teaching materials in specific regional contexts. Therefore, this study is novel in filling this gap through an analysis of the need to develop ethnoscience-based science textbooks based on the perceptions of junior high and high school teachers in Riau Province, which provides an empirical basis for the development of teaching materials and the formulation of more contextually and locally based education policies. This study used a survey method involving 12 junior high school and high school science teachers from 12 different schools in various regions of Riau. The research instrument was a perception questionnaire from the perspective of teachers and students. Data analysis was conducted both descriptively and quantitatively, using simple statistics, and supplemented by qualitative interpretations of open-ended responses. The results showed that both teachers and students considered the integration of ethnoscience in science textbooks to be very limited, unsystematic, and lacking a strong connection between scientific concepts and local culture. The needs analysis indicated the need to develop culture-based textbooks that explicitly include the cultural context of Riau, are scientifically structured, and can strengthen the understanding of science concepts. This study has significant implications for teachers, textbook authors, and also curriculum developers, as it underscores the importance of enhancing the relevance of science learning through integration of local culture.
