Abstract

This study aims to produce products for developing PMRI-based GCD teaching materials in elementary schools that are in accordance with valid and practical characteristics. In this research used the RnD method with Plomp model. The stages of development carried out are the Preliminary Research Phase, Prototyping Phase, and Assessment Phase. The teaching materials developed by the researchers were validated by 3 experts consisting of material experts, educational technology experts and linguists. For practicality, it can be seen from the practicality questionnaire of teachers and students given by during the small group trial. Data collection techniques carried out by interviews, observations, and questionnaires. The data obtained from the data collection is then processed by quantitative analysis techniques and descriptions. Based on the results of the validation of the teaching materials developed, the criteria are valid (feasible) with an average percentage of 93.75%. The practicality of teaching materials based on the teacher's practicality questionnaire is 90.62% with very practical criteria, and based on the students' practicality questionnaire is 81.04% with practical criteria. Based on the results it can be concluded that the PMRI-based GCD teaching materials in elementary schools have valid and practical criteria, which means that they can be used in learning.

Abstract

Abstract: Guru yang berkualitas harus memiliki kompetensi dalam menjalankan tugasnya, kompetensi yang dimaksud adalah kemampuan yang dimiliki untuk menjalankan tugas atau pekerjaan yang didasari oleh pengetahuan, keterampilan, sikap, dan kepribadian yang sesuai dengan standar yang telah ditentukan. Guru juga wajib memiliki kompetensi kepribadian sesuai dengan Permendiknas nomor 16 tahun 2007 tentang standar kompetensi kepribadian guru SD/MI. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kompetensi kepibadian guru Sekolah Dasar gugusVII kecamatan Tampan kota Pekanbaru. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif, metode pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner sebagai instrumen untuk memperoleh data kompetensi kepribadian guru Sekolah Dasar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada kompetensi bertindak sesuai dengan norma agama, hukum, sosial, dan kebudayaan nasional Indonesia dengan persentase 73,84%; Kompetensi menampilkan diri sebagai pribadi yang jujur, berakhlak mulia, dan teladan bagi peserta didik dan masyarakat dengan persentase 70,91%; Kompetensi menampilkan diri sebagai pribadi yang mantap, stabil, dewasa, arif, dan berwibawa dengan persentase 75,57%; Kompetensi menunjukkan etos kerja, tanggung jawab yang tinggi, rasa bangga menjadi guru, dan rasa percaya diri dengan persentase 69,23%; Kompetensi menjunjung tinggi kode etik profesi guru dengan persentase 73,74%. Kata Kunci : Kompetensi, Kepribadian.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an animated video media for fourth grade social studies learning about economic diversity in Riau. This research is research and development with the 4D model, namely define, design, development and dissemination. The instruments used to obtain data were questionnaires (validation questionnaires and response questionnaires) and interviews. While the data obtained came from 2 validators, namely material experts and media experts, as well as 1 practitioner (teacher) and 12 students from one of the public elementary schools in Pekanbaru. Data collection techniques used were validity questionnaires, teacher response questionnaires, student responses and interviews. The results showed that the animated video media developed received very valid criteria with a proportion of 96.4% from material experts in the very valid category and very valid criteria with a score of 84.5% from media experts. The results of the teacher's answers get a very good score with a score proportion of 89.2%, one-to-one test results get a very good score with a score proportion of 90% and small group test results get a very good score with a proportion of 83.8%. It can be interpreted that animated video media is feasible and valid for use in learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat resiliensi akademik siswa laki-laki dan siswa perempuan, serta untuk mengetahui perbedaan tingkat resiliensi akademik berbasis gender siswa kelas V sekolah dasar di Pekanbaru. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode komparatif. Subjek penelitian ini ada 1 kelas dari kelas V dengan jumlah siswa 25 orang 10 diantaranya siswa laki-laki dan 15 lainnya siswa perempuan. Resiliensi akademik siswa diukur dengan menggunakan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil pengujian uji-t diperoleh signifikansi 0,622 > 0,05 sehingga h0 diterima dan ha di tolak. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara tingkat resiliensi akademik siswa laki-laki dan siswa perempuan kelas V sekolah dasar di Pekanbaru.

Abstract

Penggunaan media pembelajaran matematika yang berbasis budaya dapat membantu guru dan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran karena berkaitan dengan budaya yang ada di lingkungan sekitar sehingga dapat meningkatkan minat siswa. Pembelajaran matematika yang memasukkan unsur budaya disebut Etnomatematika. Untuk itu, perlu dilakukan inovasi yaitu dengan mengembangkan media pembelajaran yang berbasis etnomatematika di Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran yang valid dan praktis. Media yang dikembangkan yaitu komadi (Komik matematika digital) berbasis etnomatematika pada materi geometri di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan atau R&D dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE, yaitu Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan media pembelajaran komadi (komik matematika digital) berbasis etnomatematika pada materi geometri valid dan praktis dengan hasil uji validitas 91,66% dengan kategori sangat valid, uji praktikalitas siswa 92,27% dengan kategori sangat praktis dan pada uji praktikalitas guru 94,44% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran komadi (komik matematika digital) berbasis etnomatematika dapat dikembangkan dan layak untuk digunakan pada proses pembelajaran materi geometri dikelas V Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract

Penanaman sikap sosial pada khususnya tidak bisa terlepaskan kaitanya dengan mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sikap sosial siswa ketika guru mengajar pembelajaran IPS di kelas V SD. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode penelitian studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian kualitatif yang digunakan oleh peneliti yaitu: Observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Perolehan data melalui berbagai macam cara ini disebut triangulasi (triangulation). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Bahwa guru SD Negeri 164 Pekanbaru sudah mampu dengan baik menamkan sikap social melalui pembelajaran IPS. Dapat ditanamkan melalui pembelajaran IPS dengan cara menanamkan nilai-nilai sikap social siswa dengan strategi pembelajaran IPS, mampuan guru memberikan contoh sikap interaksi yang baik kepada siswa baik di dalam kelas maupun di luar kelas. Kesimpulan penelitian ini sikap social siswa dikatakan baik. Kata Kunci: Sifat, Siswa, Sosial

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena matematika yang masih bersifat abstrak pada penjelasan konsep dan kurangnya materi ajar bilingual tentang Realistik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan materi ajar bilingual materi unsur-unsur bangun datar sederhana yang valid dan praktis berbasis Realistik untuk siswa kelas II di Sekolah Dasar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan. Pengembangan materi ajar bilingual menggunakan model pengembangan Model Plomp yang terdiri dari tiga tahapan, yaitu: (1) analisis pendahuluan (Prelimminary Research), (2) pengembangan atau pembuatan prototype (Development or Prototyping), dan (3) penilaian (Assasement). Instrumen dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari wawancara dan angket dalam uji validitas dan uji praktikalitas. Validasi diperoleh melalui uji validitas yang dilakukan oleh ahli materi, ahli media, dan ahli bahasa. Kepraktisan produk diperoleh melalui uji praktikalitas yang dilakukan guru kelas dan peserta didik. Uji coba produk dilakukan di SD IT Humairoh 2 Pekanbaru. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini, bahwa produk materi ajar bilingual materi geometri dinyatakan sangat valid dengan persentase rata-rata 86,20%, dan dinyatakan praktis dengan persentase rata-rata 85,93%. Sehingga materi ajar bilingual materi geometri berbasis realistik yang dikembangkan valid dan praktis, dapat digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Mathematical literacy is a key point of the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) study, and indeed it becomes a concern for some studies in many countries. This study aims at investigating mathematics literacy presented in mathematics comics, and it focuses on mathematical contexts and contents presented in thirteen pre-service teacher-designed mathematics comics. The findings show that personal is the most favourable contents, while quantity and change and relationships are mostly contexts chosen by the pre-service teachers in their designed mathematics comics. The implication of this study is that teacher-designed mathematics comics still emphasis on a daily life context that closed to students’ life.

Abstract

Fractions have been applied in daily life and become a prerequisite in learning mathematics, therefore students have to mastered fractions. Many studies state that learning fractions classified as a difficult topic including addition of fraction. The aim of this study was to determine fifth grade’ difficulties in solving fraction addition problems, and to determine factors that cause their experiencing difficulties in learning addition of fractions. The method of this study was a mixed method. The participants were 29 fifth grade students from a public elementary school in Pekanbaru, Riau province, Indonesia. The results showed that many students got difficulties in solving the tasks. The study also showed that the difficulties were experienced by studens in completing addition of fractions including mastering the concept of addition of fractions with 71.43% error. The students were not mastering the prerequisite knowledge of multiplication with 47.29% error and was not able to complete problem solving tasks of adding fractions with 42.53% error. The factors that cause students experiences the difficulties in completing adding fractions are the lack of students’ motivation, students were low on interest of learning mathematics since they assume that mathematics is a difficult subject.

Abstract

This study intends to evaluate the differences in the increase in reading interest of students who receive learning treatment using illustrated folklore books and students who study using books used in traditional learning. This research employed a quasi-experimental strategy using a matched-pairs control group. The 2022–2023 academic year's odd semester Indonesian language class was the setting for this study. Questions like "what," "who," "where," "when," "why," and "how" are used in the information-gathering material. The subjects in this study were 5th grade students consisting of 5 B and 5 C classes, where 5 C was the experimental class and 5 B was the class control. In this study, data were collected using pre-tests and post-tests given to the experimental class and control class, totaling 25 statement items. As a prerequisite test before testing the hypothesis, normality and homogeneity tests were carried out, which were processed using the SPSS 22 program. Based on the results of the hypothesis testing, a significance value (2-tailed) was obtained of 0.000 0.05 with an average experimental group having an average value of 79 .74 while the control group obtained an average value of 68.95. So that it can be reduced to 14.19%. Thus it can be concluded that there is an influence of pictorial folklore on reading interest of fifth-grade elementary school students.
