Abstract

The digital age has created an overwhelming amount of information, making it very important to know how to use it. This study seeks to investigate the influence of emotional intelligence on the enhancement of these skills. This study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology to examine four scientific articles published from 2020 to 2024, sourced from the Google Scholar database. The main findings indicate that individuals with high emotional intelligence tend to be more capable of managing emotions when faced with contradictory information, are more open to diverse perspectives, and show improvements in digital literacy and learning outcomes. These findings indicate that cultivating emotional intelligence may serve as an effective strategy for improving critical information literacy. This analysis leads to the conclusion that emotional intelligence is crucial for promoting logical decision-making, preventing the dissemination of false information, and successfully navigating the complexity of digital information.

Abstract

Social inclusion is one of the priority programs initiated by the National Library of Indonesia, serving as a strategic effort to improve the quality of life and community welfare through the transformation of the library’s role. Libraries are no longer limited to managing and providing collections but are required to become centers for access to information sources and  community empowerment activities. Library transformation can be realized through the provision of appropriate infrastructure, facilities, human resources, and technology that meet community needs. The implementation of social inclusion in libraries requires a reference model, particularly for village libraries that need an applicable and contextually relevant framework. The study aims to identify conceptual models for implementing social inclusion in village libraries and to examine the impacts synthesized from existing literature, so that they may be adapted or adopted by other libraries to enhance the community‘s quality of life and welfare. The research employs a narrative literature review, conducted on four peer-reviewed articles discussing social inclusion in village libraries obtained through Publish or Perish and selected based on journal accreditation and citation impact. The analysis reveals four key elements in the implementation of social inclusion in village libraries: (1) collections aligned with community needs, (2) user-oriented services, (3) competent human resources, and (4) strong collaborative partnerships. The impacts synthesized from the literature include accelerated village development, enhanced community competence and welfare, and the transformation of libraries into centers of information and productive community engagement. The main challenges in implementation include uneven utilization of information technology, dependency upon external cooperation programs, and limited community participation.

Abstract

The digital era has changed the workforce significantly, especially with the rise of online-based jobs. This study aims to analyze the enhancement of online workers' employability through the perspective of contemporary Islamic Economic Law. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study of online workers across various sectors. The findings indicate that digitalization has expanded job opportunities and introduced challenges such as income instability and a lack of legal protection. From the perspective of Islamic Economic Law, principles of justice, balance, and ethics in transactions play a crucial role in ensuring the sustainability and well-being of online workers. Therefore, appropriate regulations aligned with Islamic economic principles are needed to promote fairness and welfare for workers in the digital era. The main contribution of this study is to provide new insights into the application of Islamic Economic Law principles in the context of digital employment and offer policy recommendations to enhance the well-being of online workers. Additionally, this research contributes to developing Islamic digital economy literature and serves as a foundation for more inclusive and fair regulations for workers in the digital age.

Abstract

In recent years, an increasing number of Indonesian youth have expressed a desire to seek better opportunities and life prospects abroad. One of the hashtags widely used to articulate this aspiration is #KaburDuluAja. This hashtag has emerged as an expression of emotions, anxiety, and even frustration among certain segments of society, particularly the younger generation, in response to the current social, economic, and political conditions in Indonesia. This study aims to comprehensively examine the phenomenon of public discourse on social media related to the #KaburDuluAja hashtag as a reflection of the potential for brain drain in Indonesia. To achieve this objective, a hybrid approach is employed, integrating Clustering, Association Rule Mining, and Sentiment Classification methods. The research adopts a quantitative approach supported by text mining techniques and social media data analysis. Furthermore, this study is both descriptive and predictive in nature. The research does not focus on a specific geographical location; rather, it examines public conversations on social media platforms, particularly Twitter (currently known as X). The data utilized in this study were collected through a web crawling process. The findings indicate that public conversations related to the #KaburDuluAja phenomenon can be categorized into five main clusters. The evaluation of several classification models reveals that the Naïve Bayes algorithm achieves the highest accuracy in predicting sentiment, reaching 99.85%. The K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) model achieves an accuracy of 75.79%, while the Decision Tree and Random Forest models demonstrate relatively lower performance, with accuracy levels around 60%. The #KaburDuluAja phenomenon is not merely a form of humor or casual expression on social media; rather, it represents a genuine reflection of social unrest, particularly concerning employment opportunities, welfare conditions, and the future prospects of Indonesia’s younger generation.

Abstract

Archive digitization is a strategic step in modern information management, especially in response to the challenges of preserving physical documents and the increasing public demand for fast, efficient, and easily accessible information. Dinas Perpustakaan dan Arsip Daerah (DPAD) Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) is one of the institutions responsible for managing regional archives and has implemented digitization as part of the archive preservation process. This activity aims to examine the implementation of community service activities through field study practice at DPAD DIY, focusing on archiving institutional challenges and the application of digital technology in archive management. The methods used in this activity refer to the service-learning model and include observation and interviews, preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The evaluation reviews the process and results, highlighting effective aspects and identifying any obstacles or shortcomings. The instruments used in the evaluation process include observation and interview results, field notes, documentation, and literature review. The results show that the activity contributed directly to archive digitization, including 4-5 audiovisual recordings per day, more than 1,000 photo archives in 167 digital files within six working days, and one box of textual archives consisting of 37 files converted into digital format. These outputs support better archive preservation and improve access to information. However, several obstacles were also found, such as limited, outdated equipment, insufficient human resources compared to the volume of archives, and inadequate workspace conditions. Nevertheless, this activity made a real contribution to the digitization process and produced recommendations for improvements to support the sustainability of the archive media transfer program at DPAD DIY.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sentimen komentar mengenai gaya hidup childfree di platform media sosial X menggunakan metode Naïve Bayes. Gaya hidup childfree menjadi perbincangan yang semakin populer setelah Gita Savitri Devi mengungkapkan pilihannya untuk tidak memiliki anak. Kontroversi muncul di media sosial seputar hak seseorang untuk memilih gaya hidup childfree, dengan berbagai alasan seperti kekhawatiran terhadap masa depan anak, masalah lingkungan, ekonomi, dan faktor personal. Metode Naïve Bayes digunakan dalam penelitian ini karena kemampuannya dalam klasifikasi teks dan analisis sentimen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan akurasi model sebesar 66,20%, meskipun tergolong rendah, penelitian ini memberikan wawasan baru tentang pandangan masyarakat terhadap gaya hidup childfree. Diharapkan hasil penelitian ini dapat meningkatkan pemahaman kita tentang fenomena childfree dan memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan metode analisis sentimen di masa depan.

Abstract

Arsip keluarga memiliki nilai historis, administratif, dan kultural yang penting sebagai memori kolektif lintas generasi, namun sering diabaikan sehingga berisiko hilang akibat rusaknya media fisik maupun kurangnya literasi digital. Tujuan penelitian untuk melihat bagaimana Instagram dapat berfungsi sebagai alat yang berguna untuk mengelola arsip keluarga di era digital. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dengan menelusuri teori, konsep, dan temuan penelitian sebelumnya melalui sumber pustaka seperti artikel. Prosedur penelitian dilakukan dengan merumuskan masalah, menentukan kriteria pemilihan sumber, serta melakukan penelusuran dan seleksi literatur. Analisis data menggunakan analisis tematik, dimana informasi penting dikelompokkan menjadi tema-tema yang menggambarkan peran Instagram dalam pengelolaan arsip keluarga. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fitur Instagram, seperti archive of stories, archive of post, highlights, saved collections, dan download your information, membantu proses dokumentasi, kurasi, dan pelestarian arsip digital. Fitur ini memungkinkan penyimpanan konten secara privat, pengelompokan tematik, dan pembuatan cadangan data untuk memastikan keberlanjutan arsip digital. Instagram juga berkontribusi pada fenomena remembrance networked, yaitu ingatan kolektif keluarga yang terhubung melalui interaksi online. Namun, beberapa masalah utama juga ditemukan dalam penelitian yaitu ketergantungan pada platform komersial, risiko kehilangan data, masalah privasi, dan kurangnya pengetahuan digital masyarakat. Studi ini menyarankan tiga pendekatan utama untuk mengoptimalkan Instagram sebagai alat untuk mengelola arsip keluarga: (1) menetapkan peraturan internal yang mengatur jenis konten yang diarsipkan dan perlindungan privasi Instagram sebagai media pendukung pengelolaan arsip keluarga (2) mengatur dan menyusun arsip digital sesuai dengan prinsip kearsipan seperti klasifikasi, deskripsi, dan pemilihan konten yang sekaligus memanfaatkan fitur-fitur Instagram yang relevan untuk dokumentasi, kurasi, dan pelestarian dan (3) bekerja sama dengan pustakawan, arsiparis, maupun lembaga kearsipan untuk meningkatkan literasi digital.

Abstract

The implementation of digital services through the Smart Kampung website represents a pivotal strategic innovation by the Banyuwangi Regency Government to decentralize and enhance public service delivery. However, the efficacy of these digital interventions is fundamentally contingent upon the website's usability, which directly dictates the quality of user experience (UX) and the overall success of e-government adoption. This research performs an exhaustive usability analysis of the Smart Kampung platform using the ten heuristic principles established by Jakob Nielsen. Employing a descriptive quantitative methodology, the study surveyed 73 active users within the Banyuwangi community using a 20-indicator instrument. The results demonstrate that while the platform excels in aesthetic minimalist design (92% satisfaction) and maintains a strong alignment with real-world conventions (78%), it exhibits significant deficiencies in flexibility and efficiency of use (50% disagreement) and user control and freedom (46% disagreement). These findings suggest a rigid architectural framework that may alienate advanced users and lack intuitive recovery mechanisms. The study recommends the integration of "emergency exits" for erroneous actions and the development of specialized features for expert users to foster a more inclusive and effective digital governance ecosystem

Abstract

Transformasi digital telah menggeser cara keluarga mengelola arsip, dari yang semula berbasis fisik menjadi serba digital dan terintegrasi. Perubahan ini mencakup seluruh siklus kearsipan, mulai dari penciptaan, penyimpanan, pengelolaan, hingga preservasi, sehingga menuntut kemampuan baru dalam menjaga keberlanjutan informasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi strategi preservasi arsip keluarga sebagai upaya mempertahankan memori kolektif di tengah derasnya arus digitalisasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dengan menelaah berbagai publikasi ilmiah yang relevan mengenai praktik preservasi arsip keluarga dan pelestarian memori kolektif di era digital. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa preservasi arsip keluarga tidak lagi cukup dilakukan secara konvensional, tetapi perlu didukung oleh pendekatan digital yang sistematis. Strategi yang dominan meliputi alih media dari format fisik ke digital, digitalisasi arsip untuk meningkatkan aksesibilitas, penyimpanan berbasis cloud guna menjamin keamanan dan keberlanjutan data, serta pemanfaatan aplikasi kearsipan digital seperti AKAR (Arsip Keluarga). Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa keberhasilan pelestarian arsip keluarga sangat bergantung pada kemampuan keluarga dalam mengadopsi teknologi sekaligus memahami prinsip dasar kearsipan digital. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini diharapkan dapat mendorong peningkatan literasi digital kearsipan di tingkat keluarga, sehingga arsip tidak hanya tersimpan, tetapi juga tetap bermakna dan dapat diwariskan lintas generasi. Strategies for Preserving Family Archives as an Effort to Preserve Collective Memory in the Digital Transformation Era. Digital transformation has shifted the way families manage their archives, from a physical system to a fully digital, integrated one. This change encompasses the entire archival lifecycle—from creation, storage, and management to preservation—thereby requiring new capabilities to ensure the sustainability of information. This study aims to identify strategies for preserving family archives to maintain collective memory amid the rapid tide of digitization. The method used is a literature review examining relevant scientific publications on family archive preservation practices and the preservation of collective memory in the digital age. The findings indicate that family archive preservation is no longer sufficient when conducted conventionally but must be supported by a systematic digital approach. Dominant strategies include converting media from physical to digital formats, digitizing archives to enhance accessibility, using cloud-based storage to ensure data security and sustainability, and utilizing digital archiving applications such as AKAR (Family Archive). These findings underscore that the success of family archive preservation heavily depends on families' ability to adopt technology while understanding the fundamental principles of digital archiving. Therefore, this study is expected to promote the enhancement of digital archival literacy at the family level, ensuring that archives are not only preserved but also remain meaningful and can be passed down across generations.

Abstract

Digital transformation has fundamentally changed the ways information is accessed, evaluated, and utilized, making digital literacy an essential competence in contemporary education. Within this context, Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums (GLAM) hold significant potential as providers of cultural and knowledge resources that support learning in the digital era. This article examines the strategic role of libraries in fostering digital literacy through GLAM collaboration as part of educational transformation. The study employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by analyzing 17 peer-reviewed articles published between 2013 and 2024, retrieved from Google Scholar, Scopus, ScienceDirect, DOAJ, and JSTOR. The findings indicate that libraries are well positioned to act as central coordinators of GLAM collaboration due to their established digital infrastructure, expertise in information organization, and metadata management capabilities. Five key themes emerge from the analysis: the urgency of GLAM integration in digital education, libraries as strategic connectors among GLAM institutions, the contribution of GLAM to digital literacy development, collaborative learning models supported by GLAM, and socio-technical challenges in implementation. Overall, GLAM collaboration led by libraries enhances critical thinking, information evaluation, and contextual understanding through access to authentic and multimodal resources. This study highlights the transformative leadership role of libraries within the GLAM ecosystem in higher education.
