Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of digital-based geometry puzzle games to stimulate the spatial intelligence of children aged 4-5 years. This type of research is RD (Research and Development) using the ASSURE model. This study used the target participants aged 4-5 years in PGRI II Taji Kindergarten as a test of instrument validity, Dharma Wanita Duriwetan Kindergarten as the main sample for testing a digital-based geometry puzzle product and NU Hidayatul Athfal Muslimat Kindergarten as a conventional product trial (LKA). The results showed that the digital- based geometric puzzle media that had been developed was more effectively used as a learning medium to stimulate children's spatial intelligence in recognizing shapes and colors compared to conventional media.

Abstract

Kemampuan kognitif dan literasi sains anak sangat penting untuk dioptimalkan dan distimulasi dengan metode yang tepat. Tujuan yang akan dicapai pada penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan sebuah buku panduan little scientist dalam pembelajaran STEAM untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains anak usia 4-5 tahun serta mengetahui kevalidan, kepraktisan dan keefektifan dari buku panduan. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian Research and Development (R&D) atau research and development (R&D) dengan menggunakan model ADDIE Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (Analisis, Desain, Pengembangan, Implementasi, dan Evaluasi). Data berupa penilaian mengenai kevalidan, kepraktisan dan keefektifan buku panduan little scientist diperoleh dengan teknik angket atau kuesioner dan uji coba lapangan. Hasil data yang diperoleh dari uji coba kevalidan dari ahli materi menunjukkan nilai persentase sebesar 97,72% dan hasil perolehan presentase dari ahli media sebesar 98,52% sehingga termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Adapun penilaian kepraktisan dari  buku panduan little scientist dengan menggunakan ngain score memperoleh nilai rata rata n gain score yang didapat adalah 0,73 berada pada kriteria g > 0,7. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa buku panduan little scientist memiliki kepraktisan tinggi sehingga buku panduan little scientist cocok digunakan untuk sumber belajar guru dalam pembelajaran literasi sains anak. Selain itu penilaian yang dilakukan untuk menguji keefektifan dengan menggunakan uji Wilcoxon mendapatkan hasil Asymp Sing (2-tailed) sebesar 0.000 sehingga P  <  0,05 atau 0.000 < 0,05 maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Maka dapat disimpulkan  bahwa terdapat pengaruh buku panduan little scientist untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains anak usia 4-5 tahun. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa buku panduan little scientist dinyatakan memenuhi standar kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan dalam menstimulasi kemampuan literasi sains anak pada usia 4-5 tahun. Pengembangan buku panduan little scientist dapat menjadi inovasi bahan ajar bagi guru TK dalam rangka menstimulasi kemampuan literasi sains anak.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penerapan kegiatan membilang dan peningkatan kemampuan kognitif siswa melalui kegiatan membilang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di TK Budi Utomo Lamongan. Penelitian  dilaksanakan pada bulan april 2015. Penelitian tindakan (action research) ini menggunakan metode Kemmis dan Mc Taggart, melalui dua siklus yang tediri dari siklus I dan siklus II yang meliputi tahap perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Subyek penelitian adalah 15 anak Kelompok B TK Budi Utomo Lamongan yang berusia 5-6 tahun. Data diperoleh dengan berpedoman pada lembar observasi kemampuan kognitif konsep bilangan dan lambang bilangan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan kognitif anak yang dibuktikan pada perolehan skor kemampuan kognitif rata-rata siswa. Sebelum penelitian skor rata-rata adalah 60.4%. Setelah dilaksanakan siklus I terjadi perubahan skor kemampuan kognitif rata-rata kelas menjadi 85.9%. Pada siklus II perubahan skor kemampuan kognitif rata-rata kelas menjadi 97.04%. Pada siklus II seluruh siswa telah memenuhi kriteria kesuksesan sehingga penelitian ini dicukupkan dengan pelaksanaan dua siklus. Katakunci: kemampuan kognitif, kegiatan membilang

Abstract

This community service program is carried out to assist early childhood education institutions in Banyuwangi in developing more interactive literacy learning through the Playing with Books program. The problem encountered is the continued use of conventional methods in literacy development, where books are only read aloud using a one-way storytelling method without two-way communication between teachers and children. The goal of this program is to provide teachers with an understanding of fun literacy programs for children through the Playing with Books program. The implementation methods include planning, conducting training, and evaluation. The training was held in May 2024, involving 21 early childhood education teachers from various institutions in Banyuwangi. The results of this program indicate an improvement in teachers' understanding of more interactive and enjoyable literacy teaching methods for children.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that is prone to natural disasters, so it is necessary to take preventive measures against the dangers that occur in order to carry out self-rescue efforts. However, curriculum integration with disaster mitigation activities has not been widely implemented by PAUD institutions. The purpose of this study was to conduct a survey on the implementation of ProMB in early childhood education units. This research was conducted using a quantitative approach with a survey method. The respondents of this study were 234 teachers who teach at kindergarten level using an online questionnaire. The findings obtained were that teachers had designed learning with disaster mitigation activity content showing a score of 62.30%. ProMB can be implemented with supporting facilities such as 1) physical facilities; 2) supporting equipment; 3) training of educators and education personnel on understanding natural disaster simulations; 4) educational game tools; and 5) cooperation with external parties. Teachers' teaching experience has a significant influence on the quality of learning about the implementation of ProMB. This study concludes that the implementation of ProMB has been carried out by teachers in a structured manner. Further research needs to integrate disaster mitigation material with the curriculum of educational units and provide training facilities to teachers to improve their competence in teaching disaster mitigation material in a more enjoyable way.

Abstract

Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) memegang peranan strategis dalam membentuk fondasi kemampuan kognitif, sosial-emosional, bahasa, dan fisik anak. Salah satu aspek penting dalam pendidikan usia dini adalah literasi numerasi, yang menjadi dasar bagi pembelajaran matematika dan sains. Namun, capaian literasi numerasi anak-anak Indonesia masih rendah, yang disebabkan oleh metode pembelajaran tradisional dan kurangnya media inovatif. Untuk menjawab tantangan tersebut, pendekatan unplugged coding diperkenalkan sebagai strategi inovatif yang menggabungkan konsep literasi numerasi dengan aktivitas permainan dan eksplorasi tanpa menggunakan perangkat digital. Kegiatan pelatihan ini bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi guru PAUD dalam mengintegrasikan literasi numerasi melalui pendekatan tematik berbasis unplugged coding. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi perencanaan, survei kebutuhan, pelatihan dan pendampingan, serta evaluasi. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif deskriptif untuk mengukur peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman guru melalui data pre-test dan post-test. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman guru (91,4% mencapai skor post-test >80), serta dihasilkannya 35 set media pembelajaran tematik. Uji coba di lima lembaga PAUD menunjukkan peningkatan antusiasme dan kemampuan anak dalam berhitung, mengenal pola, dan bekerja sama. Sebagai bentuk keberlanjutan, terbentuk grup diskusi daring antarguru untuk berbagi praktik baik. Dengan demikian, unplugged coding terbukti sebagai pendekatan efektif dan aplikatif dalam meningkatkan literasi numerasi di lingkungan PAUD.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan memvalidasi media pembelajaran Big Book Adab Sholat guna meningkatkan pemahaman anak usia dini terhadap nilai-nilai adab sholat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang meliputi analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Produk yang dikembangkan berupa Big Book berukuran besar yang dipadukan dengan metode mendongeng interaktif serta integrasi QR Code untuk mengakses video contoh adab sholat. dalam pembelajaran adab sholat untuk anak usia dini di RA Matholiul Falah Gresik. Hasil validasi ahli materi menunjukkan persentase kelayakan sebesar 96,36% dan ahli media menunjukkan persentase kelayakan sebesar 98,18%, sehingga Big Book dinyatakan sangat valid baik dari segi isi materi adab sholat, ilustrasi visual, alur cerita, maupun kelayakan media untuk digunakan oleh anak usia 4–5 tahun. Analisis data menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif, dan instrumen observasi menunjukkan bahwa Big Book mampu meningkatkan perhatian, partisipasi, serta pemahaman anak selama proses pembelajaran. Analisis data menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif, dan instrumen observasi menunjukkan validitas dan reliabilitas yang tinggi (α = 1,000). Dengan demikian, media ini dinilai layak digunakan sebagai sarana pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam yang lebih visual, menyenangkan, dan bermakna bagi anak usia dini.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of experimental methods on the introduction of flood disaster mitigation in children aged 5–6 years. The study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design of the Nonequivalent Control Group Design type. The research subjects were 30 children in group B at Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 14 Kindergarten Surabaya, consisting of 15 children in the experimental group (B3) and 15 children in the control group (B2). The experimental group was given treatment in the form of learning with a simple experimental method, while the control group used conventional learning through worksheets. Data collection was carried out through pre-tests and post-tests using flood disaster mitigation introduction instruments that included indicators of flood causes, self-rescue measures, and disaster risk reduction efforts. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test and the Mann–Whitney U Test because the data were not normally distributed. The results showed a significant increase in the post-test scores of the experimental group compared to the control group. The Wilcoxon test showed a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test of the experimental group, while the Mann–Whitney test showed a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in the post-test results. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the experimental method has a significant and more effective influence on increasing awareness of flood disaster mitigation in children aged 5–6 years. This method provides concrete learning experiences that align with the characteristics of early childhood cognitive development.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low oral communication skills of group B children at Puri Cendekia Ies Kindergarten Benowo Surabaya, where many children still have difficulty expressing opinions, answering questions, and tend to be passive in class discussions. In addition, the school location has experienced an earthquake disaster requiring learning media that not only stimulates language, but also equips children with disaster mitigation knowledge from an early age. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using the Mipami Puzzle media (earthquake mitigation) on children's oral communication skills. This media is designed to introduce the concept of earthquake disaster mitigation through interactive picture-making and storytelling activities. The research method used is quantitative with a Quasi-Experimental design (Nonequivalent Control Group Design). The study population involved all group B children at Puri Cendekia Ies Kindergarten, with a saturated sampling technique that divided subjects into experimental and control groups. Data collection was carried out through observation and tests in the form of pre-tests and post-tests. The results showed a significant effect of the use of the Mipami Puzzle media on improving children's oral communication skills. This is demonstrated through data analysis, which shows a significant difference in average achievement between the experimental and control groups. This media is effective in stimulating children's oral communication skills, including listening skills, asking questions, and conveying ideas or information coherently and clearly.
