Abstract

Vehicle routing problem with simultaneous pickup and delivery (VRPSPD) is a problem of vehicle routes where the delivery and pickup of products to each consumer is conducted simultaneously. Pangkalan Agisindo Alam Mandiri is engaged in the distribution of 3 kg LPG. At present,pangkalan already has a schedule of visits to retail stores, but the visit route is still subjectively set which causes long mileage and high transportation costs. The problem of determining the route at this pangkalanis calledVRPSPD because pangkalandelivered filled  LPG tubes to retail stores and at the same time picked up empty LPG tubes to be brought back. To determine the route, one must consider the vehicle capacity and the ratio of the number of LPG tubes delivered and picked up. This research used a tabu search algorithm to get the proposed route. The steps in the tabu search algorithm includes  determination of the initial solution, the neighborhood search, intensification phase, diversification phase,  standard phase, and  interactive phase. By using the tabu search algorithm, the proposed route provided a savings of transportation costs of 13.72% rather than the initial route of the company.

Abstract

Bunda Mandiri merupakan usaha kecil yang membuat keripik singkong mix sayur dengan merek “Singtoss”. Permasalahan dari aspek produksi adalah waktu pemipihan adonan keripik masih lama karena menggunakan mesin penggiling manual.  Selain itu, pemilik usaha berkeinginan untuk memasarkan produk  ke toko oleh-oleh yang tersebar banyak di wilayah Malang, namun terkendala dengan adanya  persyaratan toko yaitu  mewajibkan produk  memiliki PIRT dan sertifikat halal MUI. Oleh karena itu tujuan program kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah melakukan inovasi proses untuk mempercepat waktu pemipihan adonan dan meningkatkan pemasaran produk dengan menciptakan keunggulan melalui produk halal. Kegiatan dilakukan melalui difusi teknologi proses produksi dan pengemasan produk serta advokasi dalam bentuk pendampingan pengajuan sertifikasi halal dan pengoperasian mesin. Hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan PKM adalah penggunaan mesin penggiling adonan keripik dalam proses produksi, desain kemasan yang baru dengan mencantumkan logo halal MUI, peningkatan pengetahuan pemilik usaha mengenai proses sertifikasi halal dan desain kemasan, serta peningkatan ketrampilan dalam mengoperasikan mesin penggiling. Keberhasilan kegiatan  ini dapat diukur dari peningkatan kuantitas produksi dari 6 kg/hari menjadi 14 kg/hari atau naik 150%. Selain itu omzet penjualan produk naik 1,5-2 kali lipat dibandingkan kondisi awal.

Abstract

PT. Gading Mas Indah Malang represent one of LPG distributor which has a handling of inefficient distribution problem in delivery process to agent where less gives attention to demand, no definite scheduling and route make the high of distribution cost. Periodic Vehicle Routing Problem (PVRP) is a route planning from a depot to consumer among m-day period. In this research, PVRP used to optimize visit frequency and route of each agent to minimize distribution cost. The first step is clustering agents by k-means approach then determining delivery quantity, formulate mathematical model of PVRP, and solution searching using LINGO software to select the route which gives the minimum cost. From the result, optimum visit frequency is 1 visit and transportation cost saving is Rp 733,500,-/week equal to 40.82%.

Abstract

The necessity to cut costs and inventory along supply chain makes a more integrated decision between production and distribution functions becomes very important. The purpose of this research is to develop a simultaneous and decoupled optimization model to solve integrated production-inventory-distribution-inventory problem. The model is formulated as Mixed Integer Programming (MIP) with objective function minimizing total cost which covers fixed and variable production cost, plant and Distribution Center (DC) inventory cost, regular and overtime delivery cost. As the conclusion of the two models used to solve integrated production-inventory-distribution-inventory problem, the total cost of simultan model is smaller than the decoupled one. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia: Tuntutan untuk mengurangi biaya-biaya dan persediaan sepanjang supply chain, menyebabkan pengambilan keputusan yang lebih terintegrasi diantara fungsi produksi dan distribusi menjadi sangat penting. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model simultan dan decoupled untuk menyelesaikan problem integrasi produksi-persediaan-distribusi-persediaan. Model simultan dan decoupled diformulasikan sebagai Mixed Integer Programming (MIP) dengan fungsi tujuan meminimalkan total biaya yang meliputi biaya produksi tetap dan variabel, biaya persediaan di pabrik dan Distribution Center (DC) serta biaya pengiriman secara reguler dan overtime. Dengan menggunakan kedua model untuk menyelesaikan problem integrasi produksi-persediaan-distribusi-persediaan, diperoleh total biaya model simultan lebih kecil dibanding model decoupled. Kata kunci: koordinasi supply chain, integrasi produksi-persediaan-distribusi-persediaan, mixed integer programming, pengiriman langsung, pendekatan decoupled.

Abstract

Integrated production-distribution problem resolution using analytical model lacks of consideration of many uncertainties along supply chain line such as delays, queues, machine breakdown, vehicle malfunction, and environmental factor. By utilizing simulation as complex stochastic system modelling, this research aims to develop hybrid analytical-simulation approach to resolve integrated production-distribution model. Time capacity adjustment is required if production-distribution plan obtained from analytical model requires longer production and delivery time than available. The adjustment is using a procedure developed based on duration obtained from simulation model and is used to obtain adjusted time capacity. The implementation of hybrid method to resolve integrated production-distribution problem on two echelon supply chain with 2 factories and 5 DCs shows a feasible solution was obtained on the third iteration

Abstract

Genetic Algorithm, Tabu Search, Simulated Annealing, and Ant Colony Optimization showed a good performance in solving vehicle routing problem. However, the generated solution of those algorithms was changeable regarding on the input parameter of each algorithm. CODEQ is a new, parameter free meta-heuristic algorithm that had been successfully used to solve constrained optimization problems, integer programming, and feed-forward neural network. The purpose of this research are improving CODEQ algorithm to solve vehicle routing problem and testing the performance of the improved algorithm. CODEQ algorithm is started with population initiation as initial solution, generated of mutant vector for each parent in every iteration, replacement of parent by mutant when fitness function value of mutant is better than parent’s, generated of new vector for each iteration based on opposition value or chaos principle, replacement of worst solution by new vector when fitness function value of new vector is better, iteration ceasing when stooping criterion is achieved, and sub-tour determination based on vehicle capacity constraint. The result showed that the average deviation of the best-known and the best-test value is 6.35%. Therefore, CODEQ algorithm is good in solving vehicle routing problem.

Abstract

Muztaqbalah is a small business located in Jetis, Dau, Malang Regency that manufactures aloe vera extract beverages. The problem faced by Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) is that the shelf life of aloe vera products is short, although sodium benzoate has been added. In addition, consumers want a fresher taste in aloe vera extract beverages. Based on the problems faced by Muztaqbalah's business, this program aims to help business owners improve the quality of aloe vera extract beverages. After consulting and mentoring, it is suggested to add additional stages in the manufacturing process, soaking in saltwater, filtering before the aloe vera meat is blended, and sterilizing bottles or cups before packaging. Based on the results of the Total Plate Count (TPC) analysis, the proposed preservative additive is citric acid because it has a longer shelf life than lime.ABSTRAKUsaha Muztaqbalah merupakan usaha kecil pembuat minuman sari lidah buaya yang terletak di Jetis, Dau, Kabupaten Malang. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh UKM adalah umur simpan produk minuman sari lidah buaya belum bertahan lama meski sudah ditambahkan bahan natrium benzoat. Selain itu konsumen menginginkan rasa yang lebih segar pada minuman sari lidah buaya. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh usaha Muztaqbalah, maka tujuan program pengabdian ini adalah membantu pemilik usaha untuk meningkatkan kualitas minuman sari lidah buaya. Setelah melakukan konsultasi dan pendampingan diusulkan penambahan tahapan dalam proses pembuatan yaitu perendaman dengan air garam, penyaringan sebelum daging lidah buaya diblender dan sterilisasi kemasan botol atau cup sebelum pengemasan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis Total Plate Count (TPC) maka bahan tambahan pengawet yang diusulkan adalah asam sitrat karena memiliki umur simpan yang lebih lama dibanding jeruk nipis.

Abstract

Usaha Bunda is a small home industry producing several cow’s milk processed products located at Maron village, Pujon Kidul, Malang. The challenge faced by this owner is the marketing aspect to define the right marketing strategy to expand the coverage and increase competitiveness. The goal of this community dedication is to help formulating and implementing the marketing strategy for the Usaha Bunda home industry. The approach is advocation in the form of assistance. Several strategy proposed was consignation with several gift shops and tourist attraction, redesign the product packaging, and creating an online shop. The outcome of assistance in marketing strategy implementation was the owner’s better understanding on the knowledge and skill of product packaging and online marketing. Additionally, the owner also confirmed that there has been an omzet increase of 1.5 to 2 times as the result of the new packaging. The online shop opened at Tokopedia marketplace also helps to expand the product promotion and market coverage without geographical and time limitation.

Abstract

The Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem (CVRP) plays an important role in the logistics transportation sector. Determining the proper route will reduce the company's operational costs. In CVRP, a number of vehicles have a capacity limit that can serve all customers. This research completes a real case study on a bottled drinking water company where the company still uses the subjective method of the driver to determine the transportation route. Based on the conditions in the company, the selection of the best route will consider vehicle capacity and demand to determine the shortest route. The execution of this case study uses the Football Game Algorithm (FGA) which was first initiated by Fadakar Ebrahimi which proved promising and had the strongest performance in all cases. FGA is expected to be able to determine the shortest distribution route from the existing cases to reduce the distribution costs incurred. This study takes data from 4 days of delivery that served 78 customers. The average daily transportation cost savings result is 42%. This amount indicates that the FGA algorithm is effective for completing a real case study in CVRP.

Abstract

Proses penanganan material merupakan kegiatan utama yang dilakukan pada PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia III dimana perusahaan bergerak dalam bidang jasa kepelabuhan. Namun kenyataannya, proses penanganan material di departemen pergudangan Terminal Peti Kemas masih kurang efisien. Hal ini disebabkan bongkar muat cargo bag dengan menggunakan forklift memerlukan kurang lebih 10 buruh untuk mengangkut 80-85 ton per jam. Buruh angkut harus memindahkan material berupa cargo bag dari tumpukan ke pallet, kemudian material diangkut menggunakan forklift ke truk muatan untuk dibawa ke area muat dek kapal. Pada kondisi ini terdapat beberapa kekurangan, waktu yang terbuang saat buruh idle, biaya pallet, dan biaya lembur jika perusahaan menggunakan buruh yang sama lebih dari satu shift kerja dalam satu hari. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengusulkan alat material handling yang mampu meningkatkan kapasitas bongkar muat perusahaan. Alat ini berupa belt conveyor yang akan digunakan untuk memindahkan cargo bag dari tumpukan ke truk tanpa harus melakukan penyusunan ke pallet. Perancangan belt conveyor didasari oleh perpektif pengguna dan perhitungan kapasitas belt conveyor, dengan perancangan ini proses yang dilakukan menjadi lebih singkat serta kapasitas bongkar muat meningkat sebesar 87,5% dari kapasitas sebesar 80 tph menjadi 150 tph.Kata kunci: material handling, bongkar muat, peti kemas, conveyor
