Abstract

Parameter kualitas minyak bekatul ditentukan oleh banyaknya kandungan asam lemak tidak jenuh dalam minyak bekatul. Mengingat banyaknya manfaat asam lemak tidak jenuh dalam minyak bekatul, maka diperlukan cara yang baik dalam memperlakukan minyak bekatul agar kualitas asam lemak dalam minyak bekatul tetap baik. Pada umumnya proses pemanasan minyak dapat mengakibatkan kualitas minyak menjadi menurun karena dapat menyebabkan minyak mengalami oksidasi. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan uji stabilitas asam lemak tak jenuh minyak bekatul pada berbagai variasi suhu. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditunjukkan bahwa asam oleat, yang merupakan asam lemak tidak jenuh tunggal, memiliki stabilitas yang tinggi pada suhu 100oC, 120 oC, dan 160 oC. Stabilitas yang tinggi asam lemak tak jenuh pada fraksi tersabunkan bekatul ini memberikan potensi besar untuk menjadikan limbah padi (bekatul) sebagai food stuff, obat maupun minyak kesehatan untuk menurunkan kolesterol plasma darah yang berpotensi menyebabkan penyakit arterosklerosis.

Abstract

One of human mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) variant is a 9 base pairs (bp) deletion in the COII/tRNALys intergenic region. In construction mtDNA nomenclature, 9-bp deletion database consist of primary and secondary data is needed, including Bali bombing forensic samples. Here we report a 9-bp non-deletion mtDNA variant from Bali bombing forensic samples to complete primary data. Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) technique with 2 set primer was used to detect 9-bp deletion. The PCR result was detected by agarose gel electrophoresis, which showed two bands (0.1 and 0.4 kb) for non-deletion variant control, and one band (0.4 kb) for deletion variant control. If the sample has 9-bp deletion, only one of the primer pairs could amplify a fragment of 0.4 kb. If the sample does not have 9-bp deletion, the other primer pair will amplify a 0.1 kb product. The result showed that none of the 24 samples has 9-bp deletion. These results are contributed to the human mtDNA database and nomenclature construction.

Abstract

The Gerakan Peduli Kebersihan Mandiri (Kali Bersama) is an initiative carried out by the Pharmacy students of Singaperbangsa University Karawang with the aim of raising awareness among teenagers in Citra Kebun Mas Housing, Karawang about clean and healthy living behaviors, especially handwashing with soap. This research aims to improve teenagers' understanding of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) and proper handwashing techniques. The method used in this research is counseling, which includes education on the importance of PHBS and demonstration of proper handwashing techniques. The questionnaire results conducted after the counseling show that the majority of teenagers are aware of PHBS and apply it in their daily lives, but there is still a gap between knowledge and PHBS practices. Based on these results, it is recommended to adjust the timing of activities, involve faculty leaders, and provide adequate facilities for the handwashing program with soap in future activities.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the level of accountability in managing village fund allocations in Klari Village. Allocation of village funds is an important source of funding aimed at encouraging the development and welfare of the community at the village level. However, to achieve this goal, it is important for the village to have good accountability in managing these funds. This research uses a qualitative approach by conducting in- depth interviews with various related parties, such as the village head, village officials, community leaders, and villagers. The collected data were analyzed using a descriptive method to describe the current state of accountability. The results of the study show that accountability in managing village fund allocations in Klari Village still needs to be improved. Several factors affect the level of accountability, namely the lack of transparency in village financial reporting, the low level of community participation in making decisions regarding the allocation of funds, and the lack of outside supervision. In addition, there are administrative and technical obstacles that impede the efficient use of village funds. The use of information technology that has not been maximized is also one of the challenges in increasing accountability. Therefore, the recommendations from this study are the importance of increasing transparency, community participation, and external oversight in managing village fund allocations. In addition, a better understanding of related regulations and the use of information technology is needed to increase efficiency and effectiveness in managing village funds.

Abstract

The reuse and management of organic waste can reduce significantly the impact on the environment and human health, as well as improve economic value through developing value-added products of certain applications. One of the solutions to cut down is solid organic waste such as fruit and vegetable waste into ecoenzymes via fermentation. This current review discusses the production, characterization, and application of ecoenzymes. The data was gathered from international and national indexed journals and proceedings. Ecoenzyme is produced via fermentation from fruit/vegetable waste, sugar, and water with a ratio of 1:3:10. In general, the modification made is changing the type of sugar and the type of fruit/vegetable waste used as raw material. The characterization mainly focuses on evaluating the content and activity of the enzymes. Wide range of applications of ecoenzyme found as liquid fertilizers, antimicrobial agents, wastewater treatment processes, and sludge treatment processes.

Abstract

Jika dilihat sebagai suatu proses transformasi, pembangunan pada dasarnya akan mengubah cara sumber ekonomi dialokasikan, manfaat didistribusikan, dan akumulasi. Hasilnya akan menjadi peningkatan produksi, pendapatan, dan kesejahteraan. Upaya untuk mengatasi masalah pembangunan seperti pengangguran, kemiskinan, dan kesenjangan terkait dengan pemberdayaan masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis program pemberdayaan yang diberikan Pemerintah Desa Warung Bambu Kabupaten Karawang dalam mensukseskan pembangunan Desa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan teori Sarah Cook dan Steve Macaulay dalam menganalisis pemberdayaan yang baik. Indikator pemberdayaan yang baik menurut Sarah Cook dan Steve Macaulay terdiri dari enam indiKator yaitu wewenang, kompetensi, kepercayaan, kesempatan, tanggungjawab, dan dukungan. Memposisikan masyarakat sebagai subyek dalam pembangunan agar bersifat efektif perlu dicarikan berbagai alternatif strategi pemberdayaan masyarakat. Pilihan strategi yang tepat diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan dan kemandirian masyarakat. Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Desa terkait pembangunan Desa masih memiliki berbagai permasalahan dan harus diselesaikan. Jadi upaya memberdayakan masyarakat dilakukan, selain dengan mendudukkan masyarakat sebagai aktor utama juga harus didukung dengan bantuan ekonomi serta membekali dengan berbagai ketrampilan dan pengetahuan. Masih minimnya prasarana sosial ekonomi serta penyebaran jumlah tenaga kerja produktif yang tidak seimbang, termasuk tingkat produktivitas, tingkat pendapatan masyarakat dan tingkat pendidikan yang relatif masih rendah.

Abstract

Masa pandemi Covid-19 yang telah berlangsung selama hampir dua tahun menyebabkan siswa kehilangan kesempatan untuk melakukan kegiatan laboratorium. Kondisi tersebut menjadikan pembelajaran kimia lebih bersifat teoritis. Hal ini menjadi salah satu penyebab rendahnya minat dan motivasi siswa untuk mempelajari kimia yang pada akhrinya dapat berimbas pada rendahnya hasil belajar siswa. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui minat, motivasi, dan tanggapan para siswa terhadap pelajaran kimia melalui demonstrasi berbasis chemistry for fun. Sebanyak 12 judul percobaan kimia sederhana didemonstrasikan terhadap 54 siswa kelas X-XII di SMAN 1 Pangandaran. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan angket tanggapan para siswa terkait keterlaksanaan demonstrasi kimia berbasis chemistry for fun serta minat dan motivasi belajar siswa terhadap pelajaran kimia. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa para siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap demosntrasi kimia berbasis chemistry for fun dengan tingkat keterlaksanaan sangat baik. Selain itu, tingkat minat dan motivasi belajar siswa terhadap pelajaran kimia masing-masing berada pada kategori tinggi dengan presentase 64,8% dan 70,4%. Dengan demikian, demonstrasi kimia berbasis chemistry for fun dapat menjadi alternatif metode pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan minat dan motivasi belajar siswa terhadap pelajaran kimia.Chemistry teachers are required to have four competencies which include pedagogic, personality, social and professional competencies. Some of the teacher's limitations that have been identified are weak literacy and critical thinking skills, which causes chemistry learning to be more theoretical. This is one of the causes of the low interest and motivation of students to study chemistry. To overcome this, it is necessary to conduct workshop and deepen the material for teachers, so that teachers are expected to become more confident in presenting chemistry lessons that are interesting and relevant to everyday life. The workshop was carried out by adopting a Problem-based Learning (PBL) learning model to provide experience for teachers as facilitators that stimulates students in chemistry learning. Thermochemistry topic was chosen because it is a good stimulus in solving problems in everyday phenomena through chemical knowledge. Through this workshop, outputs are produced in the form of curriculum analysis and learning strategies for thermochemical materials that are ready to be applied by teachers.

Abstract

Dalam menghadapi era Society 5.0, dunia pendidikan memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia. Kegiatan pembelajaran harus dapat membangun kecakapan-kecapakan hidup Abad 21, literasi, dan pengembangan karakter. Pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pembelajaran sangat dibutuhkan untuk menarik perhatian dan motivasi peserta didik karena peserta didik yang kita hadapi saat ini (Generasi Z) memiliki keterikatan yang sangat kuat dengan media digital dan teknologi. Oleh sebab itu, Program Studi Pendidikan Kimia dan Kimia FPMIPA UPI mengadakan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat dengan memberikan pelatihan kepada para guru Kimia SMA untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam merancang pembelajaran yang inovatif untuk menghadapi tantangan pendidikan di Era Society 5.0. Kegiatan pengabdian ini berupa pelatihan yang melibatkan 50 Guru Kimia. Kegiatan dilaksanakan secara terstruktur dan sistematis dengan mengombinasikan motode daring dan luring dengan alokasi waktu setara dengan 32 JP. Kegiatan pelatihan terdiri atas tiga tahapan meliputi pemaparan materi, pengembangan dan implementasi rancangan pembelajaran inovatif, serta pelatihan penulisan karya tulis ilmiah. Pada kegiatan ini para guru memanfaatkan laboratorium virtual dan bahan ajar berbasis video dalam pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil implementasi penggunaan laboratorium virtual dan bahan ajar berbasis video dapat meningkatkan motivasi, partisipasi, dan pemahaman peserta didik. Dari data hasil implementasi para guru berhasil menuliskan artikel ilmiah yang nantinya akan dipublikasi pada jurnal nasional. In the era of Society 5.0, education has an important role in improving the quality of Human Resources. Learning activities must be able to build 21st Century life skills, literacy, and character development. The use of technology in learning is really needed to attract students' attention and motivation since the students are Z Generation which have a strong attachment to digital media and technology. Therefore, the Chemistry Education and Chemistry Study Program FPMIPA UPI conducted a Community Service by providing a training to high school chemistry teachers to increase teacher competency in designing an innovative learning to prepare education in the Era of Society 5.0. This activity takes the form of training involving 50 Chemistry Teachers. The activity is carried out in a structured and systematic training by combining online and offline methods with a time allocation equivalent to 32 hours. The training activities consisted of three stages including presentation of material, designing, and implementing an innovative learning activity, as well as training in writing academic papers. In this activity the teachers utilized virtual laboratories and video-based teaching materials in learning. Based on the implementation, the use of virtual laboratories and video-based teaching materials can increase students' motivation, participation, and understanding. From the implementation data, the teachers succeeded in writing academic articles which will be published in a national journal.

Abstract

Pencatatan kelahiran di Indonesia penting untuk pengakuan status hukum seseorang melalui dokumen seperti Akta Kelahiran, Kartu Keluarga, dan KIA, yang digunakan dalam berbagai aspek administratif sepanjang hidup. Berdasarkan UU Nomor 23 Tahun 2006, kelahiran harus dilaporkan dalam 60 hari ke Dinas Kependudukan dan Pencatatan Sipil. Dinas Kependudukan dan Pencatatan Sipil Kabupaten Bekasi meluncurkan program Peka Lahiria pada 2020, yang mempermudah pengurusan dokumen bayi baru lahir, termasuk Kartu Keluarga, Akta Kelahiran, dan KIA. Program ini bertujuan meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya dokumen kependudukan. Meskipun begitu, sosialisasi masih perlu ditingkatkan, terutama kepada orang tua baru. Penlitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, penunjukan informan secara purpose sampling dengan tenkik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi, kemudian di analisis dengan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menyebutkan bahwa Pelaksanaan program belum optimal karena pembagian tugas yang tidak merata, namun beberapa manpower dapat dinilai potensial dalam program ini, namun program belum maksimal karena banyak masyarakat yang tidak mengetahui keberadaannya.
