Abstract

Motivasi belajar siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama di Kecamatan Kota Timur masih rendah, ditunjukkan oleh perilaku seperti sering bolos sekolah, malas mengerjakan tugas, dan ketidakresponsifan dalam pembelajaran. Hal ini diduga berkaitan dengan strategi mengajar guru yang kurang variatif dan lingkungan kelas yang tidak mendukung. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis hubungan antara strategi mengajar guru dan lingkungan kelas dengan motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Sampel sebanyak 116 siswa dipilih secara acak dari populasi 163 siswa kelas IX SMP di Kecamatan Kota Timur. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan uji validitas, reliabilitas, normalitas, linearitas, serta uji korelasi parsial dan simultan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara strategi mengajar guru dengan motivasi belajar siswa (r = 0,4411), antara lingkungan kelas dengan motivasi belajar siswa (r = 0,3964), serta secara simultan antara kedua variabel bebas dengan motivasi belajar (r = 0,5049). Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya pengembangan strategi mengajar yang inovatif dan penciptaan lingkungan kelas yang kondusif untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa di jenjang SMP.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze teacher capacity building at State Middle Schools in Telaga District, Gorontalo Regency, focusing on four main aspects: program planning, learning implementation, assessment of student learning outcomes, and development of teacher professional activities. This research uses a quantitative descriptive percentage method, analyzed using descriptive techniques and formula-based calculations, in the sense that each question item in the questionnaire is tabulated to obtain the percentage for each indicator, which is then presented in diagrams and further analyzed using interviews with respondents to support the percentage findings. The research results show that (1) program planning at State Middle Schools in Telaga District, Gorontalo Regency, is in the good category with a percentage of 91%. (2) The implementation of learning at State Middle Schools in Telaga District, Gorontalo Regency, is in the good category with a percentage of 86%. (3) The assessment of learning outcomes at State Middle Schools in Telaga District, Gorontalo Regency, is in the good category with a percentage of 88%. (4) The development of teacher professional activities at State Middle Schools in Telaga District, Gorontalo Regency, is in the good category with a percentage of 84%.
