Abstract

AbstractThis article aims to describe the male students ' interest towards extracurricular activities in high school Kartika 1-5 Padang. This research aimed to describe male students’ interest toward extracurricular learning at SMA Kartika 1-5 Padang.This research was qualitative research using descriptive method. The object of this research was male students attending Dance learning. The main instrument was the researcher herself and the additional instruments were stationary, and camera. There were primary and secondary data. The data were collected by using observation, documentation, interview, and library research. The data were analyzing by using several steps: data collection, data reduction, data clarification, and the conclusion.The result showed that the male students’ interest in extracurricular learning was good. It can be seen from several factors: 1) school environment; students used to participate in dance competition, 2) personality; students chose their activity based in hobby and talent they had.Keywords: interest, male students, Extracurricular Dance

Abstract

Abstract This article aims to discover and describe the Interest of students Towards the art of dance in Dance in JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL extracurricular activities Development Laboratory research using the UNP. qualitative method with descriptive analysis approach. The object of this research is the students who follow the Extracurricular dance in JUNIOR Development Laboratory UNP totalling 18 people. Research instrument this is a researcher as observer and tools in accordance with observation sheets. The technique of data collection on penilitian this is with the study of librarianship, documentation, observation, and then processed using the formula percentages and rates close to the respondent. The results showed that the interest of students towards extracurricular dance belongs to the medium. It is obtained from the results of the calculations of the indicator by using the observation sheets feeling pleased with the amount of percentage of 70.3% 55.5%, interest, attention to 62.9%, 75.9% engagement, curiosity 46.2% and 33.3% of the needs. So the summation of the data obtained through observation is 57.4%.Keywords: Interest students, dance art, extracurricular activities

Abstract

AbstractThe background of the research was low mastery of students towards a learning material that would cause the low accomplishment of the most dance learning outcomes of students. It had not reached the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) in XI grade IPS.3 SMA N 1 Solok. One of the factors that influenced the low learning outcomes of students was the application of learning media that had not been able to demand the active role of students. Therefore it was necessary to do research by applying audio visual media to see student dance learning outcomes. The purposed of this study was to improve the learning outcomes of dance students in SMA N 1 Solok through the using of audio visual media. The type of this research was classroom action research. The subjects of this study were students of XI grade IPS.3 SMA N 1 Solok registered in the 2017/2018 school year consisting of 30 students. In this study, the method of data collection was using the learning outcome test in the form of posttest at the end of each cycle and observation sheet. The data obtained were analyzed using the classical learning completeness formula. Based on the results of the study, it was found that there was an enhancement of students in each cycle that obtained complete scores according to the criteria of 80. In the first cycle students were complete as many as 20 people and the incomplete were 10 people. For cycle II, the number of students who complete was 25 while 5 students who were not complete, which meant the learning outcomes of dance have been increased. Thus, it could be concluded that the application of audio visual media could improve student learning outcomes in SMA N 1 SolokKeywords: Audio Visual Media, Students’ Learning Outcomes of Dance

Abstract

This article aims to describe and explain about the learning outcomes of students in class X of SMK 3 Padang by using Cooperative Learning model, Type Make a Match. This type of research is Classroom Action Resarch. This research was conducted in 2 cycles, three meetings for first cycle and two meetings for second cycle. At the end of the cycle the students were given a test. For collecting the data, the witer used field notes, documentation and written tests. The analysis of learning activities calculated by percentage. Learning activities for students involved during the learning. The result of the study shows that using the Make a Match type with Cooperative Learning model can be used to help students in learning activities in Cultural Arts subject, especially dancing at SMK 3 Padang. Student learning outcomes in cycle II are more increase than the learning outcomes of cycle I. The first cycle was proved that the learning outcomes of class X BDP students in the first cycle got an average score of 65.71 with the criteria "Enough". The second cycle with an average score of 86.16 can be categorized as "Good". It can be concluded that there was an improvement in using The learning outcomes used the Make A Match type with Cooperative Learning model and the target was reached successfully.

Abstract

The study aims to identify and describe the implementation of learning Culture and Arts (dance) by using WhatsApp at SMP N 11 of South Solok.This is a qualitative research by using descriptive method. The research instrument was the researcher itself and was supported by additional instruments such as a laptop, a camera, and writing instruments. Types of data used in this study were primary and secondary data. The data were collected through literature study, observation, and documentation. The steps of analyzing the data were reducing the data, presenting the data, and drawing conclusions. The results show that the implementation of online Culture and Arts (dance) learning in terms of material levels and dance patterns in class VII 1 of SMP N 11 South Solok by using WhatsApp runs very well although it is not maximized. This is due to the fact that the Basic Competence 4 could not be implemented. Judging from the planning, the learning design carried out by teachers remains the same but the steps for implementation are different because the learning system uses WhatsApp application. Teachers are more flexible in using media for learning. Teachers used to only use textbook media, now the media used are more interesting with the use of power points and videos from YouTube sent to WhatsApp group.  In terms of assessment, it is conducted by looking at the assignments submitted by students and quiz scores. In term of implementing learning materials of knowledge, basic competence 3 is carried out very well. It is seen from the results of the assignments submitted by the students. There are no students whose grades were below the cut score. Even though in the submission of the assignments students are often not on time because of the internet’s load problem, the results of the submitted assignments are good enough and can even be more than the materials provided by the teacher. This proves that the students can look for additional materials other than what the teachers provide.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal and describe the Existence of the Antan Bagonto Dance in the Punjung Island District of Dharmasraya Regency. This type of research is a type of qualitative research with descriptive methods. The data collection techniques used are literature studies, observations, interviews and documentation. Data collection techniques are carried out by employing Library Studies, Observations, and Interviews. The steps of data analysis are data collection, analyzing data and making conclusions. The results of the study showed the Existence of Antan Bagonto Dance in Punjung Island Subdistrict as seen from the periodization per year. The study looked at 5 periodizations ranging from 1957-1982, 1983-2014, in 2015, 2016-2018 and 2019. The causative factors of the ups and downs of Antan Bagonto Dance are the entry of the development of science and technology, Band, and also pandemics.

Abstract

Abstract This article aimed to determine students' perceptions of dance extracurricular activities at Pertiwi 1 High School Padang. The type of this research was descriptive research. This research was conducted at Pertiwi 1 High School Padang with 75 students participating in extracurricular activities. The populations of this research were students who took dance extracurricular activities; this study required 40 samples to represent 75 populations. Data collection techniques used in this study were questionnaires, observation, documentation, interviews and literature studies. The results showed that indicators about students' perceptions of dance extracurricular activities at Pertiwi 1 High School in Padang could be said well. Indicators of perceptions about student admission to dance extracurricular at Pertiwi 1 High School Padang with the level of achievement of respondents namely strongly agree (SS) 61.2%, agree (S) 28.3%, doubt (R) 7.2%, disagree (TS) 0.2% and strongly disagree (STS) 0%, an indicator of perceptions about students' understanding of dance extracurricular activities at Pertiwi 1 High School Padang with a high level of respondent strongly agree (SS) 60.6%, agree (S) 29, 3% hesitant (R) 9.3% disagree (TS) 0.2% and strongly disagree (STS) 0%, indicator of perceptions about students' assessment of dance extracurricular at Pertiwi 1 High School Padang with attainment level strongly agree ( SS) 60.4%, agree (S) 26.8%, doubt (R) 10%, disagree (TS) 1.8% and strongly disagree (ST) 0%. Keywords: Perception, Students, Extracurricular Dance

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the process and “Selayang Pandang” Dance art learning for blind students at PSBN TUAH SAKATO Padang. This type of research used a qualitative descriptive approach. The types of data in this study were primary data and secondary data. The techniques of data collection were by observing 6 people, interviews with instructors and documentation. The main instrument in this study was the researchers themselves and assisted with supporting instruments such as notebooks and digital cameras / mobile phone cameras. Techniques of data analysis were carried out with the following steps: observing, describing data, and concluding the results of the discussion. The results of the “Selayang Pandang” Dance art learning was well shown by the results of evaluations of 6 children who were 4 of them have achieved good category scores, 1 child reaches a very good category, and only 1 child with enough category. However, the process of learning dance art at PSBN TUAH SAKATO is successful, because even though children with disabilities can dance as normal children.

Abstract

The limitations of kindergarten teachers, who generally do not have an art education background, are not a barrier to not teaching dance to kindergarten children, because learning the art of dance in kindergarten children is prioritized on how teachers can motivate students to be able to carry out locomotor movements with confidence that can be done while playing. Based on the results of the training provided to kindergarten teachers throughout the district. Pasaman Barat is able to organize simple dances and can be taught to kindergarten children according to the level of difficulty and characteristics of kindergarten children. In this training, teachers are trained to explore and imitate movements according to the level of understanding and abilities of kindergarten children as objects that are used as a source of expression for expressive movements for students. The technique used during the training is the group method. In each group, the teacher identifies the characteristic tendencies of the students, which then after getting the ideas, then the ideas and ideas are developed in a theme as the basis for constructing a series of dance moves so that they become a dance repertoire that is ready to be taught to kindergarten children. Thus the dance that is taught to kindergarten children can be done by class teachers even though they do not have a background in dance education. The dance that is taught can be felt by students, because the material provided is adjusted to the level of difficulty and characteristics of the child. Furthermore, dance learning in kindergarten children is more aimed at exploring the potential that exists in children through the process of exploration and imitation so as to give birth to expressive movements according to the level of understanding carried out while playing in a pleasant atmosphere.

Abstract

Abstract This research aimed to describe the implementation of Advance Organizer model on Dance subject at SMA 3 Pariaman.This research was qualitative research using descriptive method. The object of the research was 30 students of XI grade of SMA 3 Pariaman, The research instrument was the researcher herself and additional instruments were observation sheet and test. The data were attained through library research, observation, documentation, performance test. Then, the data were analyzed. The results of this study indicated that the implementation of Advance Organizer learning model in Dance subject with material to identify the type, role, and development of paired dance / group of archipelago at SMA 3 Pariaman with 3 meeting ran well. Students are motivated and interested in learning. This can be seen from the cognitive improvements and students’ learning activities at each meeting with indicators: paying attention to teacher’s explanation, doing question and answer, expressing opinions, the spirit of learning, and being able to conclude the lesson. At the meeting I, II, and III, it was seen the development of learning in the cognitive domain of students. From the lack of responses from students until students become more active and the cognitive of students in the lesson rose. Improvement can also be seen from the achievement of dance learning objectives. Thus it can be concluded that the application of Advance Organizer model in Dance subject were very effective in improving the students' cognitive knowledge, and mad the learning atmosphere become more fun so that it can increase students’ activity. With the increase of students’ learning activities, it will increase in knowledge along with it and appear on students’ learning outcomes at SMA 3 Pariaman.Kata Kunci: Model Advance Organizer, Seni Tari
