Abstract

A suitable learning model is needed in learning science at the junior high school level. Educators need to be able to determine the appropriate learning model for learning activities. Therefore, this study aims to analyze student responses to jigsaw and STAD learning models in SMPN and MTsN and to compare student responses to jigsaw and STAD learning models in science subjects at SMPN and MTsN. This type of research is quasi-experimental quantitative research by comparing 8 classes that use the jigsaw and STAD models in science learning. This research was carried out in 4 schools, namely 2 SMP and 2 MTs with the number of students in each class of 35 students, the number of students being 280 students. In data analysis using SPSS 26. Based on the results of the T-test, namely the value of sig. (2-tailed <0.05) it can be said that there are differences in student responses to the Jigsaw and STAD learning models in science subjects in SMP/MTs.

Abstract

The learning process is inseparable from the learning model, the selection of a good learning model will certainly have a good effect on student responses and student process skills and vice versa. This study aims to determine the comparison of student process skills and student responses to the PBL learning model in SD/MI, and to determine the relationship between student responses to student responses to the PBL learning model and student process skills. This type of research is experimental quantitative research by comparing 4 classes using the PBL model. The sample in this study was 144 students from public elementary schools. There are 2 instruments in this research, namely Process Skills for Science and Problem Based Learning (PBL) models. There are 47 items of process skills questions and 26 items of questions in the learning model that uses a Likert scale 5. This study uses quantitative data analysis with the help of SPSS statistics 25, to find descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of the T test showed that in each school there were differences in process skills and student responses to the PBL learning model. Also, the results from the correlation test in each school showed that students' responses to the PBL learning model had an effect on students' process skills. This can be seen from the value of sig. < 0.05. So, the learning model carried out in each school has an influence on student responses and process skills, and there is a relationship between student responses and process skills.

Abstract

There are still many students who have difficulty learning mathematics. It is because students feel that learning mathematics is complicated. This problem has an impact on low student learning outcomes. One way to make it easier for students to learn is to use an appropriate learning model. This study aims to compare and correlate student response variables in the student team achievement division learning model of block and cube material and student process skills. This type of research is quantitative experimental research by comparing four classes using process skills variables and student responses to student team learning outcomes. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with a sample size of 144 students from a population of two public elementary schools and two Islamic elementary schools. The technique used to collect data is a questionnaire. The instrument used to collect data is a questionnaire. The data analysis used was quantitative with the help of SPSS 25 statistics to find descriptive statistics, test assumptions, and test hypotheses. Based on the t-test, it is known that there are significant differences in students' process skills in each school and student responses to the Student team achievement division learning model on the volume of blocks and cubes in each school. Based on the correlation test, there is a relationship between students' process skills on student responses with the student learning model of team achievement division on the material of volume of blocks and cubes between schools.

Abstract

This study aims to compare students' learning skills in each class and students' argumentative abilities in each class and to determine the effect of students' science process skills on students' argumentation abilities. This type of research uses the mixed method with an explanatory design. The samples of this study were 70 students of class 11 science, with the sampling technique of simple random sampling. The results of data analysis using parametric statistics t-test (2-tailed) obtained sig. value 0.034 0.05, so it can be said that the students' argumentative abilities in XI A and IPA B are different, and for the variable science process skills, the sig. is 0.043 0.05, so each class's science process skills are different. The results of the regression test obtained the results of the sig value of 0.025 in class XI A, and class XI B obtained a sig value of 0.030, where the value of sig 0.05 which means that science process skills affect the students' argumentation skills. The study confirms that the improvement of scientific skills will make student better at conveying arguments.

Abstract

The character of school students is currently in the declining category. This is due to the lack of emphasis on the time of the learning process and affects the level of success of the functions and objectives of national education. This study aims to determine the characters that are not embedded in the physics learning process for class X material for circular motion. The research method used is a qualitative method with the type of documentation research. The researcher uses a documentation study because the subject used is a 2013 curriculum teacher's book for class X circular motion. After studying the circular motion material, it is known that there are 18 characters that must be instilled during the physics learning process. However, these 18 characters are not fully embedded because there are some characters that are missing and will have a continuous negative impact on students. Due to the imperfection of this research, in the future, in the textbook of physics learning teacher class X on Circular Motion in the 2013 curriculum and its subsequent development, more attention should be paid to the character of students so that all these characters are fulfilled in order to create a good generation
