Abstract

Tuberculosis is a contagious pulmonary infection and the biggest cause of death after cardiovascular disease and diabetes mellitus. The non-compliance of patients with pulmonary TB in taking medication causes the patient's recovery rate to be low, high mortality rates and recurrence increases and has an impact on bacterial resistance to some anti-tuberculosis drugs and is very difficult to cure. This study aims to determine the factors most associated with adherence to taking anti-pulmonary TB drugs in the Cipayung District Health Center East Jakarta area. The research method used is Cross sectional. The sample used was 60 respondents who matched the inclusion criteria. Data collection was done using questionnaires and data analysis using Chi-Square test. Data analysis showed that there was a significantly relationship between role of PMO with OR 2,6 (p value = 0,000) with adherenceto taking anti-pulmonary TB drugs. The results showed that TB clients 2.6 times would regularly take TB medication if the PMO reminded them of taking medication

Abstract

High blood pressure is a prevalent condition in the community and is a significant risk factor for heart disease. Hypertension is often called “the silent killer” because it is a highly perilous condition that can strike individuals without any detectable signs. There are various elements that can impact high blood pressure, such as dietary habits and obesity, which can be assessed by determining body mass index. To establish the correlation between dietary habits and BMI in relation to the prevalence of hypertension at the Jatiwarna Village Community Health Center. This investigation is a quantitative analysis with a cross-sectional methodology. The example utilized in this study consisted of 79 participants selected through the purposive sampling method. An examination of the connection between factors was conducted using chi square. The findings of the chi square analysis examination on the connection between diet and the occurrence of hypertension obtained p-value = 0,038 (<0,05) and an OR value = 3,117 and the correlation between body mass index and the occurrence of hypertension resulted in a p-value = 0.781 (greater than 0.05). There is a noteworthy connection between diet and the prevalence of hypertension and there is no substantial connection between body mass index and the prevalence of hypertension in adulthood.

Abstract

The prevalence of hypertension continues to increase, and various epidemiological studies revealed an increase in the incidence of hypertension in different parts of the world. According to the American Heart Association (AHA), The number of Americans over the age of 20 who suffer from hypertension has risen to 74.5 million, while nearly 90% of cases have no identified cause. If not treated effectively, hypertension may cause damage to blood vessels throughout the body, the most prominent of which is the danger of damage to the brain, eyes, heart, and kidneys. An introduction to stroke is essential for reducing the risk of stroke in people with hypertension. Multimedia is one of the developments in health education media, which is in accordance with the advancement of digital technology, incorporating stroke prevention. This study aims to examine the impact of multimedia-based education on hypertension patients' knowledge, attitudes, and behavior toward stroke prevention. This research is a quasi-experiment with a pre-posttest with a control group design. The sampling technique employed was simple random sampling, and the sample size determination utilized a hypothesis test of the average difference in two independent groups of 60 respondents. Data analysis in this study administered paired t-test and independent t-test. The results unveiled that there were significant differences in knowledge (p=0.022), attitudes (p=0.001), and behavior (p=0.008) of hypertension patients in preventing stroke after intervention in the form of multimedia-based education. Therefore, it is recommended that the community can perform hypertension treatment independently frequently, and the implementation of the prolanis program can be enhanced so that people can receive services easily and regularly to prevent stroke.

Abstract

Hypertension control can be done by compliance with taking medication and a low-salt diet. Many people with hypertension are not compliant with taking medication and forget about a low-salt diet because they feel healthy. In fact, this should not happen because it will affect their blood pressure. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between compliance with taking medication and a low-salt diet with blood pressure stability in hypertensive patients. The research method used was quantitative analytical descriptive with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study were all patients with hypertension who underwent outpatient treatment at the internal medicine. A total of 92 respondents were the sample of this study. Sampling was carried out using a purposive sampling technique. The results used chi square found that there was a relationship between medication adherence and blood pressure stability with a p-value of 0.001 and there was a relationship between a low-salt diet and blood pressure stability in hypertensive patients with a p-value of 0.001. The conclusion is that there is a relationship between medication adherence and a low-salt diet with blood pressure stability in hypertensive patients. Recommendations for patients with hypertension are advised to maintain salt intake and continue taking medication so that blood pressure remains stable.

Abstract

Anxiety and difficulty concentrating are often experienced by first-year college students, especially those with introverted personalities, poor coping mechanisms, low adaptability, and an inability to manage stress. These conditions can impact their academic performance. This is a quantitative study with a pre-experimental design using a one-group pretest-posttest design. A sample of 57 students in the Applied Undergraduate Study Program, Department of Nursing, Poltekkes Jakarta III, was selected through purposive sampling. Data were analysed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. The results showed that the average academic anxiety score before the intervention was 55.95, while after the intervention it decreased to 41.00, with a p-value of 0.001. These findings indicate that binaural beats are effective in reducing academic anxiety levels in nursing students at Poltekkes Kemenkes Jakarta III, thus offering an alternative approach to addressing students' academic anxiety.
