Abstract

This research contributes to ongoing efforts to enhance healthcare service quality and improve the well-being of individuals with disabilities, particularly those with physical disabilities relying on orthotic-prosthetic care in their communities. Currently, there is limited evidence available to guide policy, funding decisions, and practitioners in Indonesia. Study participants included adult orthosis/prosthesis users and parents/guardians of children using these devices, all of whom sought services at the Jakarta I Ministry of Health Polytechnic educational clinic in January to June 2023. Subsequently, the socket fabrication, fitting, and evaluation process took place, utilizing purposive sampling for surveys encompassing demographics and the Modified Orthotic Prosthetic User Survey (OPUS) – Client Satisfaction with Devices and Services. 73% of patients reported satisfaction with high-quality Orthotic-Prosthetic devices, while 86% expressed satisfaction with excellent service. This highlights the effectiveness of the Modified Orthotic Prosthetic User Survey (OPUS) in assessing user satisfaction with prosthetic-orthotic devices and services, underscoring the need for ongoing tool refinement.

Abstract

Abstract

The digital transformation in educational laboratory management requires a scheduling solution that is efficient, transparent, and cost-effective. This study aims to design and develop M-Room, an integrated laboratory scheduling system based on Google Spreadsheet to support the moving room policy at Poltekkes Kemenkes Jakarta I. The platform leverages Google Spreadsheet's collaborative features to synchronize schedules in real time among users. System development followed the Waterfall model, which included requirements identification through stakeholder discussions, sheet structure design and data validation (using dropdown menus and automated formulas), the creation of an interactive dashboard for room availability visualization, implementation, and testing through simulation and user evaluation. The system was piloted over two semesters (January–December 2024) involving 70 participants, consisting of educational laboratory staff, lecturers, students, and administrators. Evaluation results indicated that 68.6% of users utilized the room booking feature, 42.9% checked room availability prior to scheduling, and 18.6% scheduled the use of integrated laboratories. All respondents (100%) rated the interface as user-friendly, while only 5.7% experienced minor issues. A total of 87.1% stated that the system significantly improved laboratory management, and 88.6% gave the highest score for overall user satisfaction. Active engagement with the system’s core features reflects strong user enthusiasm toward M-Room. These findings suggest that M-Room enhances scheduling efficiency, promotes cross-departmental collaboration, and offers a cost-effective, easy-to-implement, and scalable laboratory management solution. Future development is recommended to include integration with the academic information system (SIAKAD), the addition of automated notification modules, and the use of historical data analytics for optimizing laboratory capacity. Thus, M-Room is expected to serve as a foundation for adaptive and sustainable digital laboratory management. This innovation may serve as a model for collaborative Google Spreadsheet-based solutions in other vocational institutions.

Abstract

Stroke is a disease caused by impaired blood circulation to the brain. This disease is a non-communicable disease that can be prevented by controlling stroke risk factors. STRIC (Stroke Risk Score Card) is a stroke risk detection application resulting from the development of a stroke risk detection model by the National Stroke Association. This study aims to determine the sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of the application of the early stroke risk detection model (STRIC) in detecting stroke risk. Descriptive analytics by conducting stroke risk assessment using the Stroke Risk Scorecard (STRIC) App. The total sample was 60 people, consisting of 30 post-stroke people and 30 non-stroke people. The sensitivity value of the STRIC application is 91.67% which means that the ability to predict stroke risk for those who have experienced a stroke is very high. The specificity value of the STRIC application was 77.78%; this means that the measurement capability of the STRIC application provides a non-stroke (negative) result of 77.78% or very good. The accuracy value of the STRIC application is 83.33%, which means that the ability of the STRIC application to detect the risk of stroke in all subjects tested correctly is 83.33%.  Applying the STRIC application can help prevent stroke and improve the prognosis for high-risk individuals.
