Abstract

The lack of interest in reading and innovation in learning media at SDN Pancoran 03 has resulted in low student interest and understanding of Indonesian language subjects. This study aims to develop PASAKA (Vocabulary Board) learning media to develop early reading skills, to determine the results of its development, and to measure the effectiveness of its use in Indonesian language learning. The method used is Research and Development with the ADDIE model which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were 24 2nd grade students of SDN Pancoran 03. The validation results from media experts obtained 94%, linguists 90%, and material experts 98% with each category "very feasible". The trial results showed an increase in student learning outcomes with a pre-test percentage of 65.41% while the post-test was 90.4%, with an N-Gain value of 0.71 which is included in the high improvement category. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the development process for the PASAKA (Vocabulary Board) learning media was systematic and tailored to students' needs. Experts have declared this learning media highly suitable for use in the learning process. Furthermore, this learning media has proven effective in helping students understand Indonesian language learning in Chapter 1, the topic "Recognizing Feelings."

Abstract

The development of series picture puzzle learning media is used to improve the short story writing skills of third grade students at SDN Kalibata 11. This study aims to explain the process of developing the series picture puzzle learning media and to determine its validity, effectiveness, and practicality in use. The type of research employed is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research instruments include material validation sheets, media validation sheets, language validation sheets, and student response questionnaires. The results show that the material validation percentage is 97.77% with a very feasible category, the media validation percentage is 96.25% with a very feasible category, and the language validation percentage is 70% with a feasible category. In addition, the student response questionnaire results indicate that Class IIIA obtained a percentage of 94.87% and Class IIIB obtained 98%, both categorized as very feasible. The effectiveness of the learning media is also demonstrated by the N-Gain values of 0.54 for Class IIIA and 0.50 for Class IIIB, both of which fall into the moderate category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the series picture puzzle learning media is feasible and moderately effective for teaching short story writing to third grade students at SDN Kalibata 11.

Abstract

Education is a necessity for every Indonesian citizen aimed at forming a child to become the nation's successor and be able to face developments in various fields. Educational institutions need to innovate to organize teaching and learning activities that aim for students to gain knowledge to improve their potential and skills. Speaking skills are a skill that needs to be applied to all students so that they are able to convey ideas but by conveying them using language verbally, other people are able to understand what is said by students. Talking chips is a learning model so that students are able to interact in a group, channel ideas, concepts that they want to express. So that they are able to create ideas about what they want to express to improve speaking skills. By using the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method or (action research). The results of this study indicate that the application of the Talking Chips method will increase the level of student confidence so that they are able to increase insight or increase the level of speaking skills. This shows with a percentage level of 80% that the Talking Chips method affects students' confidence in speaking skills.
