Abstract

Hypertension is a factor of morbidity and mortality in the world. Dietary arrangement is a cause of hypertension incidence that can be changed. This is a technique of hypertension handling approach. This study aims was to analyze dietary control of people with hypertension. This study is a secondary analysis of the previous study data. Amount of 155 respondent data were analyzed in descriptive form. The results showed that more than a half of respondents were female (70.3%), mostly respondents were elderly (54.2%), and almost all respondents were graduated from primary school (79.4%). Out of four types of diet about salt, protein, fat and fiber, three diets need to be changed namely the use of salt (salt-containing foods), types and ways of processing protein sources also types and sources of fat consumed. Thus, health workers are expected to continue to provide interventions related dietary salt, fats and proteins specifically to people with hypertension.

Abstract

Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) is caused by a lack of exclusive breast feeding. One of them due to the lack of production of breast milk on the first day after delivery that can be caused by a lack of stimulation oxytocin and prolactin hormon.There are two hormones that essential to producebreast milk.For expenditure nonfarmakologis effort is needed in the form of oxytocin breast massage. Oxytocin massage is very helpful in the process of spending on breast milk. Objectivesi is To find out the effectiveness of massage oxytocin breast milk production in the mother against the post partum in the Kalimaya Bawah Hospital Dr. Slamet Garut the year 2018. The Methods used is the study was hised quasy experimentsmethod with pretest-posttest with Control group, the study was carried out during the 30 days of sampling technique with "accidental sampling". This study was included 20 respondents as a control group and other 20 respondents as intervention group. Results in the control group was found that only 30% respondents who the breast milk out on day 3, while the intervention group 100% of the respondents breast milk out on day 3. Wilcoxon test showed that p-value 0.000 meaning α < p 0,005. The conclusion this study is there was an influence of oxytocin massage against the production of breast milk in the mother post partum. Every health worker or midwife should apply the massage of oxytocin on the mother post partum, so that mothers could provide exclusive breast milk in infants.

Abstract

Hypertension is a global issue that has been increasing and impacted individuals and even countries.  Pain is a major symptom that is felt by hypertension patients. Pain can be an essential factor that implies secondary prevention requirements. The aim of this study was to explain pain experienced that was detected in hypertension patients that live in a community setting, under the working area of Wanaraja Public Health Center in January 2023. This study used a quantitative descriptive with a cross sectional approach. The number population detected as hypertensive patients was 2. 586. The sampling technique was purposive sampling with 142 participants who joined in this study.  The study showed that amount 77% of the respondents were women (109 respondents) and more than 80% was in the middle age and the elderly (41.5%; 41.5%; respectively).  The respondents described pain in the categories:  severe pain 8%, mild pain 20%, moderate pain 67% and no pain 5%. Most of the respondents were in the stage 2 hypertension category (89% for systolic and 86% for diastolic). A few respondents were in systolic or diastolic hypertension crisis category. (7,7%). Family and community nurses can use VAS as a tool to assess the pain of hypertension patients in Community settings.  Keywords: Community Setting, Hypertension, Pain

Abstract

Hypertension is commonly a problem because of the blood pressure are above the normal. Signs of symptoms felt by patients with hypertension are headache, dizziness, weakness, fatigue, shortness of breath, nausea and vomiting, pain in the neck. A warm compress on the neck is one of the non-pharmacological ways to reduce or eliminate neck pain. Patients with hypertension will feel a warm or hot sensation in the nape area after applying warm compresses. This study was to determine whether warm compresses influence reducing blood pressure in hypertensive patients. This research was conducted in Kp Kostarea 2 RT 02 RW 03 Mekarluyu Village, Sukawening District, Garut, West Java. This study used a pre-experimental design with the type of one-group pretest-posttest design (one group pretest-posttest). A total of 15 respondents were involved in the study which were taken by purposive sampling. The result showed that most of the respondents were female amount 11 (73.3%). Overall respondents experienced a decrease in pain scale and systolic and or diastolic blood pressure. The results of the Wilcoxon test showed that there was an effect of using warm compresses on reducing the pain scale of patients with hypertension Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 <0.05. Warm compresses can be used as independent therapy for nurses in patients with neck pain with hypertension.

Abstract

Background: Cardiovascular disease is a health problem in both developed and developing countries. One of the most common cardiovascular diseases in Indonesia is congestive heart failure. Congestive heart failure is a condition in which the heart is unable to maintain adequate cardiac output to meet metabolic and tissue oxygen demands despite good venous flow. Objective: This case study aims to obtain an overview of applying semi-fowler position to increase oxygen saturation in patients with congestive heart failure. Methods: The method used was a descriptive case study by conducting nursing care and literature review. Participants in this study were patients with congestive heart failure with impaired breathing patterns. Result: This case showed that applying semi-fowler position to Cardiac Heart Failure Patient was increased the oxygen saturation, which is characterized by a significant increase in oxygen saturation value with an average value of 3% each day. Conclusion: nurse can help patient increasing the oxygen saturation on CHF patient using semi fowlers position. Keywords:Nursing Care, Heart Failure, semi-fowlers

Abstract

Vaksinasi Covid-19 pada anak 6-11 tahun menjadi persyaratan utama pada saat ini untuk melakukan pembelajaran tatap muka di sekolah serta betujuan agar anak terlindungi dari penyebaran Covid-19. Dukungan keluarga menjadi kunci dalam percepatan pelaksanaan vaksinasi khususnya pada anak, keluarga berfungsi untuk menjelaskan dan mendamping,anak-anak nya untuk di vaksin. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan dukungan keluarga dengan keikutsertaan vaksin Covid-19. Penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian Cross Sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan sampel Multistage Random Sampling dengan memilih sampel berdasarkan pembagian suatu daerah secara bertingkat dan ambil secara acak untuk tiap daerah pada keluarga anak usia 6-11 tahun yang belum di vaksin di Desa Jayabakti Puskesmas Banjarwangi. Uji analisis pada penelitian ini menggunakan Chi Square lebih dari setengah responden keluarga mendukung terhadap vaksin Covid-19 yaitu 66 (72.5%) dan lebih dari setengah seluruh responden 65 (71.4%) sudah mengikuti vaksin Covid-19. Hasil Uji Chi square antara variabel dukungan keluarga dengan keikutsertaan vaksin Covid-19 pada anak usia 6-11 tahun di dapatkan hasi p value = 0.015 (p value < 0.05). Sebagian besar responden mendukung dengan kategori tinggi dan ikut melaksanakn vaksin Covid-19 dosis II pada anak. Dukungan keluarga menunjukan hasil adanya hubungan yang signifikan dengan keikutsertaan vaksin Covid-19 dosis II pada anak usia 6-11 tahun.

Abstract

Background: Anemia in pregnant women is not only a health concern for the mothers themselves but also has an impact on the health of the fetus. The role of health cadres is crucial in addressing anemia in pregnant women.Purpose: To evaluate the influence of community support interventions on the knowledge and self-efficacy of health cadres in managing anemia in pregnant women in the Thousand Islands region, Indonesia.Method: The research design is quasi-experimental with a single intervention group. A total of 30 health cadres on Kelapa Island and Harapan Island received community support interventions for managing anemia in pregnant women. Assessments of knowledge and self-efficacy were conducted before and after the intervention. Data analysis was performed using paired sample t-tests.Results: Indicate that community support interventions significantly improved the knowledge of health cadres about anemia in pregnant women (p < 0.05). Furthermore, the self-efficacy of health cadres also experienced a significant increase after the intervention (p < 0.05).Conclusion: Community support interventions effectively enhance health cadres' knowledge and self-efficacy in managing anemia in pregnant women in the Thousand Islands region. This study has implications for improving the quality of health services and the management of anemia in pregnant women.

Abstract

Introduction: High blood pressure is a global health problem that requires significant attention because it is the main cause of death and increasing. This disease causes high morbidity and mortality rates, and it can also lead to complications such as heart disease, kidney failure, and stroke. Patients with high blood pressure often behave poorly and do not comply with antihypertensive therapy due to the influence of values and client trust. Objective: This study aims to understand the selfcare management picture among hypertensive patients at Cisewu Health Center in 2023. Method: This study uses a descriptive quantitative method with a sample size of 78 respondents, using the Slovin formula. Data collection was done using questionnaires, and statistical analysis was conducted univariately. Results: Some respondents have poor diets, physical exercise, medication intake, blood pressure monitoring, and smoking cessation efforts. Conclusion: This study is a description of the management of splinting for fracture patients in the ER at Kayangan Health Center, North Lombok Regency. 76.9% of respondents carried out according to the SOP.
