Abstract

Pendahuluan; Hidden hunger atau kelaparan tersembunyi ditandai dengan kekurangan zat gizi mikro yaitu vitamin mineral. Masalah ini menjadi tantangan baru yang harus diselesaikan di Indonesia. Tujuan; untuk menganalisis konsumsi pangan dan densitas gizi penduduk wanita dewasa Indonesia. Bahan dan Metode; dilakukan dengan menganalisis data Survei Konsumsi Makanan Indonesia (SKMI) 2014 yang dikumpulkan menggunakan metode food recall 24 jam. Jumlah subjek sebanyak 31 746 wanita dewasa di Indonesia. Kecukupan zat gizi dihitung menggunakan metode dari  Institute of Medicine. Zat gizi yang dianalisis meliputi energi, protein, kalsium, besi, seng, vitamin A dan C. Hasil; rata-rata konsumsi pangan penduduk dewasa Indonesia sebagian besar berasal dari kelompok pangan padi-padian sebanyak 245.4±113.2 g.  Kelompok pangan yang paling sedikit dikonsumsi penduduk dewasa adalah gula sebanyak 13.1±16.7 g.  Tingkat kecukupan energi, protein, kalsium, besi, seng, vitamin A dan C berturut-turut sebesar 82%, 104.9%, 79.8%, 103.6%, 69.2%, 119.9% and 63.6%,.  Densitas protein, kalsium, seng, vitamin A dan vitamin C belum sesuai dengan anjuran. Kesimpulan; penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kecukupan dan densitas beberapa zat gizi mikro penduduk dewasa wanita Indonesia masih rendah sehingga kualitas konsumsi pangannya perlu ditingkatkan khususnya konsumsi pangan hewani, kacang-kacangan, buah dan sayur  sebagai sumber zat gizi mikro.

Abstract

The role of health care providers is very important in promoting and preventing efforts to improve the quality of life of the elderly , especially in the prevention and management of degenerative diseases such as Diabetes mellitus. However, in the development of the Posyandu Lansia, health care providers have many limitations, such as a lack of skills in detecting the incidence of Diabetes mellitus in the elderly. Through the training of Posyandu Aisyiyah Karanglewas Kidul health care providers to detect the incidence of Diabetes mellitus in the elderly when using an independent blood sugar control tool, the skills of cadres before and after training have increased. The results showed that the training had an effect on improving the skills of health care providers in using the independent blood sugar check tool by 40.3%. By improving the skills of these cadres, it is hoped that the cadres of the Posyandu Lansia can independently check their blood glucose levels so that diabetes mellitus at Aisyiyah's Posyandu can be prevented and handled.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Backgrounds: Carbohydrate intake is a major determinant of blood glucose stability in patients with type 1 diabetes. Carbohydrate counting as a meal planning approach for patients with type 1 diabetes is known to have flexibility in controlling blood glucose by regulating the amount of carbohydrate intake and insulin dose, yet a good understanding about carbohydrate counting practices is still needed in order to achieve blood glucose control targeted blood glucose control.Objectives: this article aims to review the result of previous studies relating to effect, impact and benefits in metabolic control, anthropometry, also impact and practices of education relating to carbohydrate counting in type 1 diabetes.Discussion: Carbohydrate counting has an impact on HbA1c, body mass index, waist circumference, diabetes-related quality of life and type 1 diabetes therapy satisfaction. Effects of carbohydrate counting depends on age, diet management, ability to calculate ideal insulin requirements, provided education, patient readiness to apply carbohydrate counting, family support, and additional interventions provided to support improved metabolic control. The use of Automated Bolus Calculator (ABC) with carbohydrate counting and FIIT simultaneously was thought to be able to support the effectiveness of type 1 diabetes mellitus therapy.Conclusions: Carbohydrate counting can improve metabolic control in children, adolescents and adults with type 1 diabetes. It is necessary to emphasize continuous education by registered dietitian using media in estimating the portion of food and insulin doses, also involving parents to improve the accuracy of carbohydrate counting in children and adolescents.The combination of Automated Bolus Calculator (ABC) and Flexible Intensive Insulin Therapy (FIIT) is known to increase carbohydrate counting effectiveness in type 1 DM therapy.

Abstract

Food handlers with poor knowledge of food born diseases and poor personal hygiene can be potential sources of food contamination. This study aimed to analyze food handlers' knowledge, attitudes, and hygiene practices around elementary schools in Banyumas. This research was conducted using a cross-sectional study design, has been conducted at Banyumas in 2020. The multistage sampling method determined the number of subjects as many as 150 food handlers. Data on characteristics, knowledge, attitudes, and practices were obtained by interview and analyzed using Mann Whitney and spearman correlation test. The results showed no significant difference in the knowledge (p= 0,287) and attitudes (p= 0,689) of subjects who lived in rural and urban areas. There was a significant difference in the average practice score between subjects living in rural and urban areas (p= 0,000). The Spearman correlation test showed a relationship between knowledge-attitudes of subjects living in rural (p= 0,002) and urban (p= 0,000). There was a relationship between the knowledge practice of the subject who lived in rural (p= 0,015) and urban (p= 0,000). There was no relationship between the attitudes and practices of the subject in rural (p= 0,122) and urban areas (p= 0,819). In conclusion,  there was a relationship between knowledge-attitude and knowledge-practice of hygiene and sanitation in rural and urban areas. There was no relationship between attitude and practice in rural or urban areas.

Abstract

Indonesia masih menghadapi tingginya angka kematian ibu dan anak, yang diakibatkan oleh permasalahan gizi, penyakit infeksi, serta masalah kehamilan.  Data menunjukkan bahwa prevalensi status gizi balita gizi buruk sebesar 3,9%, gizi kurang 13,8% dan gemuk sebesar 8%. Prevalensi status gizi (indikator TB/U) anak dengan kategori stunting 30,8%.   Masa 1000 Hari pertama kehidupan merupakan periode yang sangat penting sejak janin sampai usia dua tahun. Jika pemenuhan gizi pada masa tersebut baik, maka proses pertumbuhan dan perkembangan dapat optimal. Status gizi balita dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor diantaranya penyakit infeksi, asupan makan, pengetahuan ibu, usia penyapihan, berat badan lahir, pemberian makan terlalu dini, pola asuh, kesehatan lingkungan dan pelayanan kesehatan. Wonosobo sehat merupakan komunitas para relawan yang peduli terhadap masalah kesehatan. Fokus kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah edukasi dan promosi kesehatan pada empat bidang yaitu gizi, penyakit menular dan tidak menular, kesehatan mental serta kesehatan lingkungan.  Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalisasi peran pemuda dalam melakukan edukasi kepada masyarakat mengenai kesehatan optimal. Ada tiga tahapan kegiatan yaitu: 1) Tahap penyusunan Media dan Materi pelatihan untuk pendampingan relawan; 2) Tahap Traning Of Trainer bagi relawan Wonosobo sehat tentang Core skill relawan; 3) Tahap workshop dan pemeriksaan kesehatan gratis oleh relawan Wonosobo sehat Bersama tim pengabdi.

Abstract

The objectives of this study was to analyze food consumption and nutrient density of adults male aged 19-49 years old in Indonesia. This study was carried out through analyzing a consumption data set of Total Diet Study (SDT) of Indonesian Ministry of Health which were collected using 24-hour food recall method. The final subjects included for this study were 26268 male. The nutrients adequacy were assessed based on Institute of Medicine calculation. The nutrients analyzed include energy, protein, calcium, iron, zinc, vitamin A and vitamin C. The average food consumption of Indonesian adult male population is mostly from the grains food group of 305.0 g. The food group that was consumed the least by the adult population was oily seeds as much as 18.1 g. The adequacy of energy, protein, calcium, iron, zinc, vitamin A and vitamin C were 81.4%, 108.3%, 105.5%, 159.4%, 64.8%, 107.7% and 54.6%, respectively. The nutrient density of protein, Ca, Zn, vitamin A and vitamin C were still under the recommendation. It means that food consumption quality of Indonesian adults need to be improved. Considering the inadequate intake of some micronutrients in Indonesian adults male, it is necessary to increase the consumption of animal food, legumes, fruits and vegetables as sources of micronutrients.

Abstract

Kader kesehatan memiliki peran yang strategis dalam upaya peningkatan kesejahteraan lansia melalui upaya promotif dan preventif terhadap penyakit degeneratif khususnya Diabetes mellitus. Namun pengetahuan kader yang terbatas dalam penanganan Diabetes mellitus menjadi kendala dalam upaya peningkatan kesehatan lansia. Melalui edukasi pencegahan dan penanganan Diabetes mellitus pada kader kesehatan Posyandu Lansia Aisyiyah Karanglewas Kidul menggunakan media leaflet dan video, terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan kader sebelum dan sesudah edukasi. Hasil signifikan menunjukan edukasi memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan mengenai pencegahan dan penanganan Diabetes mellitus pada kader Posyandu Lansia Aisyiyah (p= 0,001). Melalui peningkatan pengetahuan kader ini, diharapkan kader Posyandu Lansia dapat melakukan penyuluhan dan konsultasi secara mandiri terhadap lansia sehingga Diabetes mellitus di Posyandu Lansia Aisyiyah dapat dicegah dan ditangani.

Abstract

This activity aims to transfer the technology for making vegetable yogurt based on mung bean to the producers of Yogurt Sehati, North Purwanegara Village, Purwokerto Utara and the surrounding community, as well as motivating participants to use it. The method used is counseling, practice, and explanation of product benefits for health. This activity begins with the selection of strategic target audiences, capable and able to carry out all activities. A total of 16 ladies and gentlemen, who work as cow's milk yogurt producers, housewives, bread producers, and chicken cream producers in the local village, acted as participants. In this activity, pre-test and post-test were carried out, followed by counseling on mung bean yogurt products and their benefits, and manufacturing practices, as well as business feasibility calculations. The results of this activity showed that the participants were very enthusiastic, as seen from the increase in test scores from 70.67 to 80.1 (P=0.04). When the practice of making mung bean yogurt was carried out, there were several questions asked from the participants, complete with the requirements for producing it. In conclusion, participants were interested in developing plant-based yogurt products that were felt to be easy to make, inexpensive to invest in, but great in benefits.

Abstract

: Letak geografi yang berbeda dapat menyebabkan aksesibilitas dan gaya hidup penduduk di wilayah perdesaan maupun perkotaan menjadi berbeda. Hal tersebut dapat berdampak pada pemilihan jenis transportasi pada anak sekolah sehingga dapat mempengaruhi pada keteraturan aktivitas fisik hingga ke status gizi.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan jenis transportasi ke sekolah, aktivitas fisik dan status gizi pada anak sekolah dasar di wilayah perdesaan dan perkotaan Kabupaten Banyumas. Jenis penelitian ini adalah observasional analitik dengan desain studi cross sectional pada 387 anak sekolah dasar kelas 4-6 di perdesaan dan perkotaan Kabupaten Banyumas, pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik cluster dan proposional sampling. Pengambilan data penelitian ini dilakukan secara langsung ke sekolah dasar menggunakan instrument kuesioner CPAQ untuk aktivitas fisik. Usia dan data antropometri berat badan serta tinggi badan juga diambil untuk penentuan status gizi. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Chi-Square. Hasil penelitian menujukkan terdapat perbedaan signifikan pada jenis transportasi ke sekolah (p= 0,000) dan status gizi (p=0,000), namun tidak ada perbedaan signifikan pada aktivitas fisik anak sekolah dasar perdesaan dan perkotaan di Kabupaten Banyumas (p=0,306). Kesimpulan terdapat perbedaan pada jenis transportsi ke sekolah dan status gizi serta tidak terdapat perbedaan aktivitas fisik anak sekolah dasar di perdesaan dan perkotaan Kabupaten Banyumas Kata kunci: Aktivitas Fisik, Anak sekolah dasar, Jenis Transportasi, Perdesaan dan           Perkotaan, Status Gizi

Abstract

Literasi gizi disebutkan sebagai faktor kunci dalam pemilihan makanan sehat yang diikuti dengan pola makan sehat oleh anak-anak. TPA atau Taman Pendidikan Al-Quran dapat menjadi posisi yang strategis untuk dapat menjadi tempat pendidikan kesehatan terutama terkait pola hidup sehat sejak dini. TPQ Roudlotul Munawwaroh merupakan Taman Pendidikan Al-Quran yang juga peduli terhadap Pendidikan gizi dan Kesehatan para santri dan juga wali santrinya. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalisasi peran TPQ untuk menjadi media edukasi gizi dan kesehatan bagi masyarakat pada umumnya dan santri beserta wali santri pada khususnya. Kegiatan ini dapat meningkatkan literasi gizi santri dan wali santri, serta meningkatkan efikasi diri pada pengajar TPQ untuk terus memberikan edukasi gizi dan kesehatan secara berkelanjutan kepada masyarakat melalui program Pendidikan di TPQ. Tahapan kegiatan yang dilakukan yaitu : 1. Penyusunan media dan topik edukasi, 2. FGD dengan Pengelola TPQ, 3. Edukasi Demo Porsi kepada Wali Santri, 4. Edukasi Demo Jajanan Sehat Buah kepada Santri. Kegiatan demo porsi dapat memberikan wawasan yang baru kepada para wali santri terkait besar porsi sesuai dengan gizi seimbang di keluarga. Kegiatan Demo Jajanan Sehat Buah dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pengalaman para santri untuk mengonsumsi buah dan juga memberikan saran dan rekomendasi topik edukasi sehat bagi TPQ kepada pengelola, wali santri maupun para santri.
