Abstract

This study focuses on the development of RBL–STEM learning materials that integrate research-based learning and STEM principles to foster students’ creativity through an eco-friendly technological innovation project, specifically the transformation of used cardboard into a functional electric broom. The development used the ADDIE development model, which consists of the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation, and this study produced a set of comprehensive learning materials, including instructional modules, student worksheets, project media, and creativity assessment instruments. Expert validation confirmed that the developed materials were valid, while responses from teachers and students indicated a high level of practicality. Empirical implementation demonstrated a moderate improvement in students’ learning outcomes, as reflected by an average N-gain score of 0.5617, and evidenced the students’ ability to generate creative and functional electric broom prototypes. These findings contribute to the field of science education by providing an empirically validated RBL–STEM learning framework that promotes creativity through sustainable technological innovation at the elementary school level. The significance of the study is reflected in its contribution to enhancing students’ creativity, strengthening their understanding of scientific concepts, and fostering environmental awareness through research- and engineering-oriented learning experiences. The developed RBL–STEM learning materials were empirically demonstrated to be feasible and effective in supporting innovative science instruction at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study aims to develop RBL-STEM (Research-Based Learning–Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) learning kits that utilize recycled plastic bottles as electroscopes to improve climate change literacy among junior high school students. The research follows the ADDIE model, encompassing the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Initial analysis revealed that students' climate change literacy remained low, laboratory facilities are limited, and science education tends to be overly theoretical. The developed kits consisted of lesson plans (RPP), teaching modules, experimental worksheets (LKPD), electroscope prototypes, and evaluation instruments. Expert validation confirmed that the kits are “highly feasible.” Implementation involving 70 students showed a significant improvement in climate change literacy, with average scores rising from 66.61 in the pretest to 82.19 in the posttest. A paired-sample t-test yielded a significance value of 0.000, indicating that the kits are effective in enhancing students’ understanding. Furthermore, observations of the learning process and feedback from both teachers and students fell into the “excellent” category. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of RBL-STEM with electroscope experiments made from recycled materials, directly addressing environmental issues. Overall, these learning kits have proven to be valid, practical, and effective, contributing to stronger climate change literacy and the application of sustainable science education.

Abstract

Optimalisasi penyusunan karya ilmiah bagi mahasiswa melalui pendampingan penggunaan mendeley dan pengelola referensi sangat dibutuhkan dikalangan mahasiswa. Mendeley software manajemen referensi yang dikembangkan Elsevier untuk mengelola dan berbagi makalah penelitian, mencari data penelitian, dan bekerja sama secara daring. Pendampingan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pengelolaan referensi akademik dan literasi peserta. Mendeley menggabungkan mendeley Desktop, perangkat lunak manajemen referensi dan PDF, dengan Mendeley Android and iOS dan Mendeley Web. Tulisan yang dibuat dengan microsoft word, open office atau LaTex bisa dihubungkan dengan software mendeley. Peserta pelatihan diperkenalkan dengan aplikasi Mendeley, yang memungkinkan mereka untuk menyimpan, mengatur, dan mencari referensi akademik dengan efisiensi. Mereka juga mempelajari cara membuat daftar kutipan otomatis dan menghindari kesalahan dalam penulisan kutipan dan daftar pustaka sesuai dengan gaya penulisan yang berbeda. Hasilnya, peserta mendapatkan manfaat signifikan. Mereka memiliki keterampilan yang mendukung penyelesaian tugas akademik, penelitian, dan proyek ilmiah secara lebih efisien dan akurat. Selain itu, pelatihan ini mendorong kolaborasi antarpeserta dan memberikan dorongan untuk menjadi mahasiswa dan peneliti yang lebih mandiri dalam pekerjaan akademik mereka. Pendampingan ini bukan hanya memberikan pengetahuan praktis tentang penggunaan Mendeley tetapi juga berkontribusi pada peningkatan literasi akademik dan kemampuan pengelolaan referensi peserta. Ini adalah investasi berharga dalam peningkatan kualitas pendidikan dan penelitian di instansi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Model Game Based Learning (GBL) dan media Ladder Snake terhadap aspek motorik anak usia dini di Taman Kanak-kanak (TK). Latar belakang penelitian didasarkan pada temuan awal bahwa sebagian anak mengalami hambatan dalam perkembangan motorik kasar dan halus sehingga memerlukan intervensi pembelajaran yang lebih variatif dan terstruktur. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif kausal dengan metode penelitian populasi yang melibatkan seluruh siswa TK, berjumlah 45 anak. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa tes dan observasi yang telah divalidasi menggunakan korelasi point biserial dan diuji reliabilitasnya menggunakan Alpha Cronbach. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji normalitas, homogenitas, serta regresi linear sederhana dan berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Model GBL berpengaruh signifikan terhadap aspek motorik anak dengan nilai signifikansi 0,003 dan kontribusi 55,7%; (2) Media Ladder Snake berpengaruh signifikan dengan nilai signifikansi 0,002 dan kontribusi 64,3%; (3) Kombinasi GBL dan Ladder Snake juga memberikan pengaruh signifikan dengan nilai signifikansi 0,008 dan kontribusi 62,3%. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa penggunaan media permainan terstruktur, khususnya Ladder Snake, merupakan strategi pembelajaran paling efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan motorik anak usia dini. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi praktis bagi guru dalam mengembangkan pembelajaran berbasis permainan yang menyenangkan dan sesuai kebutuhan perkembangan anak.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of a Heyzine Flipbook-based e-book in improving students’ critical thinking skills in Pancasila Education learning. The research employed a quasi-experimental design using a nonequivalent control group design. The participants consisted of two classes: an experimental class that used the Heyzine Flipbook-based e-book and a control class that used conventional textbook media. The results showed that the mean posttest score of the experimental class (83) was higher than that of the control class (60). The average N-Gain score of the experimental class was 0.66 (moderate category), while the control class obtained 0.27 (low category). The independent sample t-test indicated a significance value of p < 0.05, demonstrating a statistically significant difference between the two groups. Furthermore, the effect size was categorized as large, indicating that the Heyzine Flipbook-based e-book had a strong impact on enhancing students’ critical thinking skills. Therefore, the Heyzine Flipbook-based e-book was effective as an alternative digital learning medium to support the development of students’ critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Background of study: Utilizing contemporary technology in the classroom has many advantages in the field of early childhood education. The usage of Flashcards based on Augmented Reality (AR) is one of the most recent breakthroughs. this approach can significantly enhance learning engagingly and enjoyably.Aims and scope of paper: The purpose of this study is to investigate an effect after applying AR based flashcards on language development in early childhood.Methods: Participants This study was conducted as a quantitative experimental method one group pretest–posttest design, and 14 children were included in the analysis. Data analysis was performed with one-sample t-tests.Result: The result show that the avarege pre-test (Before treatment) language ability of 11.21 was statistically much lower than the test score (20), t value = -27.664, P value=0.000. The item mean score at posttest was 22.21, which was significantly higher than the test score (t = 4.387, p-value = 0.001). There was a significant difference before and after therapy, according to the 95% confidence interval (CI). These findings suggest that using flashcards based on augmented reality can effectively enhance children's language abilities. This notable distinction suggests that flashcards based on augmented reality successfully enhance kids' vocabulary acquisition.Conclusion: Thus, this study comes to the conclusion that flashcards based on augmented reality (AR) have a beneficial effect on the vocabulary acquisition of young children, making them a promising new learning aid for enhancing language proficiency. According to the study's findings, early childhood vocabulary and language understanding are greatly enhanced by augmented reality (AR)-based flashcards.
