Abstract

This research aims to describe the phenomenon of word processing which has socio-cultural meaning. This type of research is qualitative research. Qualitative research is research used to obtain more in-depth data, namely data that contains meaning. The meaning in question is the actual data in the form of words, sentences and discourse. The data in this research are words, phrases, sentences written by social media users which imply socio-cultural meaning. Data collection techniques in this research are library techniques and note-taking techniques. Library technique is a data collection technique by examining books and journal articles that are related to the problem being solved. The note technique is a technique for noting several forms that are relevant for research on written language use. The data analysis technique in research is descriptive analysis through the steps of identifying data, classifying data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. As a result of this research, the researcher found five examples of socio-cultural words, including: 1) Black skin, curly hair, I'm Papuan Bae sonde bae land of Timor lebe bae 3) Jogja is special, the country is special, the people are special, Bali Island Attractive Gods, Ama Mawolo, Ina Marawi.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the technology-based literature curriculum in the digital era. This type of research is library research with the object of research is technology-based literary curriculum in the digital era. The data of this research is in the form of verbal description that contains information about technology-based literature curriculum in the digital era, which is related to the underlying principles and alternative concepts of technology-based literature curriculum in the digital era. The data was obtained from sources such as books, research articles, and scientific journal proceedings. The data sources were selected based on considerations the credibility of the owner of the idea or publication. the accuracy of the source, especially regarding novelty, detail, and completeness. Objective balanced and acceptable, and (d) the availability of complete information about the data source for tracking and communication. The data analysis technique is content analysis or content a sis from the data source to the conclusion. The results in this study found several basic elements that can be accommodated in a technology-based literature curriculum in the digital era, including the use of digital media, interactive learning, e-learning platforms, the use of learning aids, digital skills development, and digital creativity

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the pragmatic meaning contained in the oral speech of tuara picking up the harvest of the Wewewa community of Southwest Sumba. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research which produces data in the form of written or spoken words from people or observable behavior. The data collection techniques in this research are expert listening and recording techniques. In the active listening technique, the researcher listens and is involved in the conversation with the traditional elders, while in the recording technique, the researcher records the entire process of the conversation with the traditional elders. The data analysis technique is carried out by following three stages, namely the data reduction stage, the data presentation stage, and the conclusion stage. Based on the analysis of the pragmatic meanings in the oral speech about picking up the harvest, it was concluded that there are three meanings, namely the meaning of preparing, greeting and begging

Abstract

This research aims to describe the meaning of bloodshed in the Pasola ritual for people's lives in Sumba.  This type of research is library research. The data in this research comes from books and scientific articles that discuss the Pasola ritual and its meaning. Data collection techniques are carried out through reading and analyzing literature relevant to the research topic. The data analysis technique is carried out through two main methods: first, content analysis, namely reviewing texts or documents to understand and interpret the meaning of the Pasola ritual; second, contextual analysis, namely understanding the social, cultural and historical context of the Pasola ritual. The results of this research found several important meanings of bloodshed in the Pasola ritual for the lives of the people of Sumba, including as a channel for fertility and successful harvests, respect for ancestors and guardian spirits of the land, as a ritual of purification and spiritual renewal, as a symbol of courage and virility, and a symbol of uniting society.

Abstract

This research aims to describe kinship terms in the Wewewa language through an anthropological linguistic approach with a focus on analyzing the social structure, culture and interpersonal relationships of the Wewewa community. The data collected is in the form of words and phrases related to kinship terms in the Wewewa language. Analysis was carried out to explore the cultural meaning contained in language and understand the construction of cultural meaning in the expressions used by informants. The research results identified kinship terms structured based on age hierarchies, which influence social norms related to respect, courtesy and trust in daily interactions.

Abstract

This study aims to describe kinship terms in the Kodi language through an anthropological linguistic approach with a focus on the analysis of social structure, culture, and interpersonal relationships of the Kodi community. This type of research is an anthropological linguistic approach with a descriptive qualitative method. The data collected in the form of words and phrases related to kinship terms in the Kodi language were analyzed using the Burling (1970) framework. The analysis was carried out to explore the cultural meaning contained in the language, by referring to the theories of Spredley (1979) and Casson (1981), in order to understand the construction of cultural meaning in the expressions used by informants. Data collection techniques include interviews (speak), as well as recording and note-taking techniques. The results of the study identified kinship terms that are structured based on age hierarchy, namely consanguineous kinship, afinal kinship, and ego-parallel which influence social norms related to respect, politeness, and trust in daily interactions

Abstract

This research aims to find and describe the errors of words contained in Kompas.Com news text. The type of research used in this study is a type of descriptive research. The data in this study are quotes that contain word errors. The source of data in this study is the text of the news in the February 2025 edition of Kompas.Com. The data collection technique in this study is to read news texts and record word errors. The data analysis technique in this study is to identify the data found, group the data according to the type of word error and make improvements to each data that contains word errors. Based on the results of a study whose discussion of word errors in news texts Kompas.Com, researchers found 29 data. Of the 29 data, it was found that there were 10 errors and 19 errors, which can be detailed as follows: a) Errors: errors in the use of non-standard words as many as 10 data, in the form of: 1) detergent, 2) sandpaper, 3) sharia, 4) omnivore, 5) jars, 6) claiming, 7) ramadan, 8) wantin, 9) boarding house, and 10) laziness. b) Mistake: word writing errors of 15 data (loss of phonemes as many as 5 data, in the form of: 1) Beral, 2) inferred, 3) deajat, 4) follow-up, and 5) offer. The addition of phonemes as many as 5 data, in the form of: 1) Dilimbau, 2) meznjadi, 3) bank, 4) distributors, and 5) terlkihat. Phoneme changes as many as 5 data, in the form of: 1) Fatigue, 2) thanksgiving, 3) being stuck, 4) meha, and 5) nerapa), and incorrect use of words as many as 4 data, in the form of: 1) di, 2) to, 3) send, and 4) Saturday.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form of phrase errors in news texts in the February 2025 edition of Detik.Com. The type of research used is a type of descriptive research. The data in this study are quotes that contain phrase errors. The source of data in this study is the text of the news in the February 2025 edition of Deik.Com. The data collection technique in this study is to read news texts and record phrase errors. The data analysis technique in the study is extralingual matching. Clarify errors at the syntactic level especially in the field of phrases and draw conclusions from phrase errors. Based on the results of the study on phrase errors in news texts in Detik.Com, researchers found 24 phrase error data, with details: 9 types of preposition errors that are not applied, namely; in 18, to the consumer, to the person, to the couple, in the middle, in the friday edition, to the country, in the day, and to Patrick Kluivert,1 a type of improper wording error namely; 14 Types of errors in the use of excessive or redundant elements, namely; last year 2022, last Sunday afternoon (01/02), April 2025, February 5, 2025, 2025 edition, 2025 edition, 2025 tomorrow, immediately after, three children, last Thursday (14/2/2025), last February 2, 2025. February 13, 2025, U-20 2025 and U-20 2025.
