Abstract

The objective of this study was to evaluate the distribution of small pelagic fish in northern Aceh water. The study was conducted on March, 2016 by using the systemtic questionnaire method. The correspondent were collected from the native fisherman along fisheries post of Lampulo, Krueng Raya, and Lhok Seudu. The collected data was then processed to obtrain the thematic maps. The result showed that the caught here categorized into six species, and predominantly by Decapterus ruselli. The waters among Sumatera and Weh Island have the highest amount of caught fish, ini which correlated to the lower temperature in those areas.

Abstract

Ujung Blang Beach Subdistricts Banda Sakti Lhokseumawe Aceh Province located at coordinat 5°12'34.82" N 97°7'18.74" E. The objective of the present study was to determine the shoreline change along Ujung Blang Beach in the past 10 years, it was in 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013 and  2015. The method used was by utilizing Geographic Information System (GIS) and remote sensing, by taking Google Earth aerial photos. The result showed the shoreline of Ujung Blang Beach changed by average value of accretion per year was 0,2193 ha and average value of abration per year was 0,3819 ha. This value showed that abration occured more bigger than accretion with the difference of the percentage increase 74.15%. For decrease or increase value of shoreline change was 74 m (maximum decrease) and 14 m (maximum increase).

Abstract

The shipyard location and model highly influence shipyard industry development. This study aims to assess the location feasibility and determine the shipyard model suitable for shipyard industry development in Kutaraja Fishing Port. The study was conducted in Kutaraja Fishing Port. AHP method was used to determine the location and model, then analyzed using the Expert Choice v11 software. The data were collected using questionnaire interviews and further allocated the value using paired comparison scale table. The result shows that the shipyard industry is feasible to be developed in an area where land parameters adjacent to the waters have a maximum value of 37.3% compared with the five other parameters. The suitable shipyard model to be developed in Kutaraja Fishing Port is the slipway type with a value of 46.1%.Keywords:LocationModelShipyard

Abstract

Water quality is influenced by the high activity in the port area, resulting in decreasing water quality. The biological parameters based on the structure of the aquatic community of organisms that act as bioindicators could be indicated as changes in water quality around the port. Bioindicators are a group of living organisms susceptible to environmental changes due to human activities and natural damage. One of the aquatic organisms that can be used as an indicator of water quality is Benthos because of its sedentary nature. This study aims to determine the quality of the water environment seen from the benthic community structure, namely density, diversity index, uniformity and dominance index, to embody the clean and pollution-free Kutaraja Fishing Port. The research shows that the aquatic environment of Kutaraja Fishing Port is included as the less stable category with a moderate diversity value (H' 1) but has high benthic individual uniformity (E 0.6), which means that individuals are evenly distributed a low dominance value or C is close to 0.Keywords:Water qualityBio-indicatorBenthosKutarajaBanda Aceh

Abstract

This service aims to socialize the catch of skipjack tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis) at the Mereudu fish landing base (PPI), Pidie Jaya Regency using Purse seine fishing gear. Data collection carried out in this research used the field observation method by directly observing activities at the Mereudu Pidie Jaya Fish Landing Base (PPI) and conducting interviews with the parties involved in it. Fishing trips carried out by Pidie Jaya fishermen range from 5 days according to the catch that has been obtained. If the catch has reached the target, the fishermen immediately return even though it has not been 5 days. During the research, the highest number of catches of skipjack tuna was on 27 July 2022 with a catch of 5,000 kg and the lowest catch was on 29 July 2022 with a catch of 1,500 kg.

Abstract

This service activity is planned to be carried out in Aceh Regency with the objectives: (1) To determine the increase in the economic value of trash fish from the cracker diversification process; (2) Knowing the increase in nutritional value of crackers with the addition of trash fish ingredients; (3) Knowing that there is a reduction in fish waste in the Lhok Sedu Leupung area of Aceh Besar from the process of diversifying trash fish products (4) Can utilize technology transfer for the community to optimize existing marine potential. In this way, job opportunities are created for the local community so that prosperity and prosperity can be realized. Several factors that support the sustainable use of water resources for processing businesses include processing production technology, social and cultural conditions of the community, availability of infrastructure and capital. Strengthening food security is something that must be done to face the free market.
