Abstract

The People of Peukan Bada generally work as fishermen. The ships used by the Peukan Bada people are generally wooden material. The capture fisheries sector in the Peukan Bada area is currently still small in scale. This can be seen from the type of fishing gear used by ships operating in the waters of Peukan Bada. The problem is that the shipbuilding industry in Peukan Bada is currently not developing following the challenges faced. So it is necessary to develop a fishing boat yard in the area. The purpose of this research is to find out what meters need to be considered in the development process. The method of collecting data used in this study is the survey method. The survey that will be carried out is by directly observing the conditions and assessing factors related to fishing vessels, the data needed to support this research method is primary data. The primary data were obtained from direct observations of various activities carried out in the shipyard and the results of interviews obtained with workers in the shipyard. The data analysis used is Fishing Bone Analysis the result of this research is that this shipbuilding industry has developments that are still far from capacity, potential, needs, and the need for the development of land parameters, human resources, machinery, materials, methods or ways of working, shipping flows and production capacity.

Abstract

Shipbuilding is one of the marine industries which in development needs to pay attention to various parameters from the sea and land. This research was conducted in March to May 2022 with the aim of identifying the influence of oceanographic factors and water quality on the development of the shipbuilding industry at the fishing port of Sabang City. The oceanographic data used includes tides, wind, bathymetry, and sediment composition observed at 12 station points. The depth and tide data are then processed using QGIS. Wind data was analyzed using the Wind Rose Plot and sediment using the Wentworth scale. Oceanographic factors in Sabang Bay have shown very satisfactory results for the development of fish landing bases. The wind in the waters of Sabang Bay blows northwest with high speeds ranging from ≥10.00 m/s. The depth of the waters indicates a potential location for ship mooring. Sandy sediment is the most common type of sediment found. The tides that occur in the bay of Sabang are relatively stable. Oceanographic factors in Sabang Bay have shown very satisfactory results for the development of fish landing bases. Keywords:OceanographyShipyardSabang Bay

Abstract

This service aims to socialize the catch of skipjack tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis) at the Mereudu fish landing base (PPI), Pidie Jaya Regency using Purse seine fishing gear. Data collection carried out in this research used the field observation method by directly observing activities at the Mereudu Pidie Jaya Fish Landing Base (PPI) and conducting interviews with the parties involved in it. Fishing trips carried out by Pidie Jaya fishermen range from 5 days according to the catch that has been obtained. If the catch has reached the target, the fishermen immediately return even though it has not been 5 days. During the research, the highest number of catches of skipjack tuna was on 27 July 2022 with a catch of 5,000 kg and the lowest catch was on 29 July 2022 with a catch of 1,500 kg.

Abstract

Aceh Besar Regency, in this case Mesjid Raya District, is an area that has quite promising geological conditions, both in terms of the type and distribution of rocks. This makes it possible for many mining excavations that have high economic value to be found in this area. However, the utilization of these mining materials has not been optimized until now. One type of mining material in question is pumice. This pumice is found in large quantities in Paya Kameng village. However, so far the people in this village have only used it as additional building materials without any effort to increase its benefits. Therefore, it was tried to use it for raw materials in the industrial and construction sectors such as in the manufacture of concrete bricks. Concrete bricks (paving blocks) are a type of non-structural concrete that can be used for roads, parking lots, sidewalks, parks and other needs. Concrete bricks are made from a mixture of type I portland cement and water and aggregates as fillers. Aggregates or fillers occupy 75% of the total volume of concrete, so that the properties of the aggregates have a major influence on the behavior of hardened concrete. The aggregate that is often used is sand.

Abstract

The Laot Lhok Lamteungoh traditional legal management area has marine natural characteristics consisting of shallow sea areas with coral reef ecosystems in several places, one of which is on Tuan Island, and several other points to the west-south in Peukan Bada District, Aceh Besar Regency. Coral reef areas are resources that must be conserved and provide income for the surrounding communities. PKMBP 2023 seeks an integrated program which will ultimately produce prospective entrepreneurs in the marine or maritime services sector, especially underwater tourism from traditional fishing communities. Service activities have been carried out for approximately 6 months June-November 2023 with socialization activities, FGDs, and a number of trainings and product placements in designated locations. The outputs produced in this activity include IPRs in the form of Copyright certificates, artificial reef prints, artificial reef products, mass media publications, and service journal publications. All targets were achieved as planned.
