Abstract

Study about Ngaso River qater quality in Rokan Hulu based on algae as bioindicator has been conducted in July to November 2014 with purposive sampling method. Samples were collected using a plankton net no. 25 and brush muller. Result, 6 species were found. The highest abundance value in station 1 with 1526.55 cells/liter, the lowest in stations 3 with 22.4 cells/liter. The highest diversity index in station 1 with 0.35, the lowest in station 3 with 0.04. The highest dominance in station 1 with 3.21, the lowest in station 3 with 0.0001. Conclution, this river was in heavily polluted category.

Abstract

The aims of this research is to know comparation the result of student Learning IPA by using Cooperatif Learning , type Numbered Head Together (NHT) and Group Investigation (GI) methods. Research was carried out in MTs. PP. Hasanatul Barokah, on Desember 2014. Focusing on quaition experiment methods, with Two Group. Sample was collected purposive from 38 student divided into 2 classes, class NHT and GI. The Instrument used in this research is a multiple choice questions test and as a test instrument. The conclusion from the research was done there is an t0 3.928 ˃ ttable 2.042. Is shows the differences in student learning IPA using cooperative learning methods of NHT and GI type.

Abstract

The aims of this study was to determine composition and structure of weeds in oil palm plantations (Elaeis quinensis Jacq.) in Suka Maju Village Rambah subdistrict Rokan Hulu Regency. The study was conducted from September to December 2014 by using survey method with purposive sampling technique at each station with different age:3-5 years, 5-7 years, and >7 yearsand 3 repetitions. Results showed 17 families and 40 species of weeds were found. Density value ranges 0.01-14.15; KR: 1.1-70.38; Frequency: 0.08-1.00; FR: 0.59%- 7,10%; NP: 0.59%-76.89%; H’: 2.16-2.58 C: 0.12-0.20; J: 0.65-0.78 and similarity index 66.6%- 75.8%.

Abstract

Study about bird species at Hasanatul Barokah palm oil plantation was conducted on December 2014. With Survey methods has been used in this research. The research station technique by purposive random sampling. The researcher found that 10 family 12 species and 27 individual, that Alcedinidae (Halcyon smyrnensis), Ardeidae (Ixobrychus cinnamomeus), Columbidae (Geopelia striata, Spilopeliachinensis, Treron vernans), Meropidae (Merops viridis), Muscicapidae (Copsychus saularis), Phasianidae (Coturnix chinensis), Psittacidae (Psittacula longicauda), Pycnonotidae (Pycnonotus aurigaster, Pycnonotus simplex), Sturnidae (Acridotheres cinereus). Index diversity is category medium, with value 2,185.

Abstract

This research purpose to know of wide diversity of the yard in the Village of Tambusai Timur District of  Tambusai Rokan Hulu Regency Province of Riau. This research have done on February until April 2018 that used direct observation (server inventarisasi). The plant that can be identify the researcher describ them with character of morfologyzal the source of reference the result of this research. Get the poin and indeksof wide diversity of the yard the telatively high on stasiun one (4,65), stasiun two (4,90) and stasiun three (3,72). That get 53 family, 96 genus and 107 species. The plant have habitus tree, shrub shaped or herbs that in use for ornamental plant, fruit and, food and medicine. All the species can get from the family Apocynaceae, Araceae, Euphorbiaceae, Myrtaceae, Palmae, Rutaceae and Zingeberaceae.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the species of grasshoppers (Orthoptera: Ensifera) located in Sauman hotsprings tourism object in the village of Rambah Tengah Hulu sub district of Rambah Rokan Hulu district. This study was conducted from December 2017 to March 2018 by survey method. Grasshopper obtained was  then identified by describing the species based reference source. Result soft hestudy founda Grasshopper derived from 3 families, 7 subfamily, 8 genera and 10 species. As for the species of grasshoppers that Nisitrus vittatus, Teleogryllus emma, Teleogryllus sp., Conocephalus maculatus, Euconocephalus sp., Mecopoda sp., Mecopoda elongata, Phaneroptera brevis, Onomarchus uninotatus and Gryllotalpa nympichus.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the diversity of frog (Amphibians: Anura) in Desa Suka Maju Kecamatan Tambusai Kabupaten Rokan Hulu. This study was conducted from February to April 2018 by using visual encounter survay (capture directly to the survey) by the sampling technique samples by random sampling. Samples were collected with three repetitions at each station. The results, is three family, seven genera and eight species are Kaloula baleata, Rhacophorus margaritifer, Polypedates leucomystax, Humerana miopus, Chalcorana chalconata, Hylarana erythraea, Fejervarya limnocharis and Fejervarya cancrivora.

Abstract

Research about Community Sructure of Coral in Pasumpahan Island had been conducted from October 2008 to January 2009. This study are to know composition and community structure of coral in Pasumpahan Island. Stratified systematic sampling method used from two areas (west-south and earth-north) and two the deepness (3-5 m and 7-10 m). There are 45 coral species belong to 12 family. The highest relative densitity of coral species (42.63 %) was found Porites nigrescens, followed by P. lobata (15.8 %), Goniastrea aspera (9,71 %), Poriteslutea (9.46 %), and Favia sp 1 (4.08 %). Diversity index of coral was 1.91 up 0.78 to 2.02. The composition of corals both of the two areas and two deepness were not similar and staying in condition depress-labile, index of similarity range from20.51-42.42 and index of equitability 0.38-0.34.

Abstract

Study about Impact of Lanskape Change to Fish Diversity at Kumu River wasconducted from March-October 2013. The objective of the sudy was to evaluated todiverstity and morphology variation of fish at kumu river by using fishnet on samplinglocation (pit land, settlements and palm oil plantation). Total 558 ind, 7 family and 29species were obtained, they are Bagridae (2 species), Chandidae (1 species),Cobitidae (2 spesies), Cyprinidae (20 species), Hemiramphidae (1 species),Pristolepididae (1 species), Siluridae (2 spesies). Diversity index (H) was ranged from1.74 -1.95. Morfologycal variation from the species were not significant on p>0.05.

Abstract

The objective of present study was to identify bioactivity of antibacterial Indonesian Seagrass Thalassia hemprichii dan Enhalus acoroides from Karang Tirta Beach, Padang City, West Sumatera. This is a preliminary research for a new alternative antibiotic from Seagrass in Indonesia. In this study the seagrass was examined by a maceration process and using the rotary evaporator to obtain viscous extract. The material for the bioactivity testing was performed upon several intended bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Stapillococcus aureus, and Bacillus subtilis. The bioactivity testing was performed by using the method of resazurin and MIC (Minimum Inhibitory Concentration), which is determined by looking at well blue-colored at the smallest concentration. The result revealed that the best antibacterial bioactivity of Thalassia hemprichii extract was a total of 62.50 μg/mL N-hexane solvent against Escherichia coli and Stapillococcus aureus bacteria. While the best antibacterial bioactivity of Enhalus acoroides extract is 15.62 μg/mL of N-hexane solvent against Stapillococcus aureus.
