Abstract

A dangerous gas that is harmful to human health and is generally found in the room is carbon dioxide (CO2) gas, which is produced from the accumulation of cigarette smoke. In order to overcome the CO2 gas concentration in the room, it is necessary to develop a device that can control the CO2 gas concentration in the room and that processes the CO2 gas detection results from the MQ-2 sensor. In this research, a device simulation was created that can control the CO2 gas concentration produced by accumulated cigarette smoke in a simulation room measuring 15 cm long, 20 cm wide, and 15 cm high with two CO2 gas release ventilation holes, each with a diameter of 3.5 cm, using the exhaust fan rotation and a microcontroller type Arduino UNO as the control unit. The effectiveness of using a microcontroller of the type Arduino UNO to process the CO2 gas detection results from the MQ-2 sensor can be seen in how the exhaust fan works to release CO2 gas from the simulation room. From the results of this research, it can be seen that the effectiveness of the exhaust fan rotation in controlling the CO2 gas concentration detected by the MQ-2 sensor looks good where the CO2 gas concentration can be controlled under 350 ppm.

Abstract

IPTV merupakan protokol aplikasi TCP/IP yang menggunakan pengalamatan internet (IP Address) dalam suatu jaringan telekomunikasi untuk pengiriman konten multimedia berbentuk audio video, yaitu berupa layanan siaran televisi digital. Dalam perkembangannya, IPTV tidak hanya digunakan untuk mentransmisikan konten siaran televisi dari perusahaan siaran televisi (TV Broadcasting) yang sudah mapan, tetapi juga dapat digunakan untuk mentransmisikan konten siaran televisi lokal (Local IPTV) dalam cakupan terbatas. Agar dapat memberikan kenyamanan bagi pengguna Local IPTV, perlu adanya jaminan kualitas layanan (Quality of Service = QoS) yang dapat diukur dan dianalisa dari kemampuan jaringan lokal dalam mentransmisikan sinyal audio video dengan baik. Oleh karena itu, dalam penelitian ini akan diukur dan dianalisa parameter QoS Local IPTV dalam jaringan IEEE 802.11 (LAN Nirkabel), yaitu perbandingan jarak terminal client ke Access Point terhadap kecepatan data (bit rate), lama waktu memulai siaran (initial time), latency dan kualitas gambar. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan adalah dengan membuat jaringan sederhana IEEE 802.11 (WLAN) dimana terdapat satu komputer sebagai Server Televisi yang terhubung secara nirkabel dengan dua smartphone, dua notebook dan dua tablet sebagai terminal client; membangun Server Televisi dengan men-setting VLC Media Player; menguji coba dan mengukur kecepatan data (bit rate), lama waktu memulai siaran (initial time), latency dan kualitas gambar pada unit penerima; serta kemudian menganalisa hasil pengukuran. Dari hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perubahan kecepatan data (bit rate) dan jarak dapat mempengaruhi lama waktu munculnya file video streaming di terminal client (initial time), latency dan kualitas gambar, serta menunjukkan bahwa penurunan bit rate dapat membuat lama waktu munculnya file video streaming di terminal client (initial time) semakin lama sedangkan besarnya latency dapat dianggap stabil.

Abstract

Electrical installation planning in a building is a vital aspect to ensure safety, efficiency, and operational comfort. This study aims to design an electrical installation system on the lobby floor of PT BIMOLI by referring to national standards such as PUIL 2011 and SNI. The methods used include a power requirement survey, calculation of active and apparent power, selection of distribution panel capacity, cable route planning, and determination of a protection system with MCB and grounding. The calculation results show a total power requirement of 63,675 Watts or 79,539 VA with a power factor of 0.8. After adding a 50% safety reserve, the required electrical capacity is 120 kVA. The installation design includes a single line diagram, wiring diagram, and calculation of cable requirements for lights, sockets, and air conditioners. The designed system meets aspects of energy efficiency, user safety, and applicable technical standards. The selection of 3x2.5mm² and 5x2.5mm² cables. Cable requirements for Downlights and TL Lamps ± 215 meters, cable requirements for 2pk AC ± 120 meters, cable requirements for 5pk AC ± 122 meters. Power distribution system, type of protection (MCB, grounding). Components such as downlights, TL lamps, NYM cables, as well as overcurrent and leakage current protection systems, have been adjusted to the characteristics and needs of office space. 3-phase MCB used for 5pk AC 16 Ampere, 1-phase MCB for 2pk AC 10 Ampere, 1-phase MCB used for TL Lamps and 4 Ampere Downlights, 1-phase MCB 32 Ampere Socket

Abstract

Electric switches are vital components in railway signaling systems, responsible for directing train tracks. At Jakartakota Station, single electric switches are prone to disturbances caused by high reverse voltage, which can blow 4 A fuses and halt operations. Based on this issue, this study analyzes the effect of using a 10 Ohm 100Watt resistor as a reverse voltage suppression solution. The title was chosen to reflect the specific component specifications, the type of switch system studied, and the precise research location, ensuring a clear research focus. The methodology included measuring current and voltage before and after resistor installation, analyzing system performance under both normal and obstructed conditions, and evaluating effectiveness without major modifications to indoor systems. The results show that installing the resistor reduced detection current from 4.1 A to 1.9 A, preventing fuse failures. Detection voltage remained within the relay’s operating range, while power voltage was unaffected. Compared to previous studies, the novelty of this research lies in its direct testing within an active operational environment, the use of resistor specifications tailored for high-current loads and outdoor conditions, and a practical approach that can be implemented without overhauling the entire system design. Thus, the use of a 10 Ohm 100Watt resistor is proven effective in enhancing the stability and reliability of electric switch systems, extending component lifespan, and supporting operational safety in Indonesia’s railway sector.

Abstract

Teknologi Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) telah banyak digunakan dalam sistem keamanan, logistik, dan otomatisasi karena kemampuannya melakukan pembacaan data secara nirkontak. Namun, performa pembacaan RFID sangat dipengaruhi oleh kondisi lingkungan, khususnya keberadaan benda penghalang antara pembaca dan tag. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh jenis benda penghalang terhadap jarak pembacaan dan keberhasilan deteksi tag RFID menggunakan modul RFID RC-522 yang beroperasi pada frekuensi 13,56 MHz. Objek penelitian difokuskan pada pengujian beberapa jenis benda penghalang yang umum dijumpai sehari-hari dan dikelompokkan ke dalam dua kategori utama, yaitu benda non-konduktif (kertas, plastik, kayu, kain, kaca, dan air) serta benda konduktif (logam aluminium). Metode penelitian dilakukan secara eksperimental melalui pengujian pembacaan RFID pada variasi jarak 0–6 cm dengan interval 1 cm. Setiap pengujian dilakukan sebanyak lima kali percobaan pada setiap jenis benda penghalang untuk memperoleh nilai rata-rata jarak maksimum pembacaan dan persentase keberhasilan deteksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada kondisi tanpa benda penghalang, modul RFID RC-522 mampu membaca tag secara stabil hingga jarak 6,0 cm dengan tingkat keberhasilan 100%. Benda non-konduktif seperti kertas, plastik, kayu, dan kain hanya menyebabkan penurunan jarak pembacaan sebesar 5–15% dengan tingkat keberhasilan deteksi di atas 95%. Sebaliknya, air menurunkan jarak pembacaan secara signifikan hingga rata-rata 1,2 cm dengan keberhasilan deteksi 40%, sedangkan logam aluminium sepenuhnya menghalangi pembacaan tag dengan tingkat keberhasilan 0%. Hasil ini membuktikan bahwa sifat konduktivitas dan permitivitas benda penghalang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap performa pembacaan RFID RC-522.

Abstract

The rapid growth of digital devices in the telecommunications sector has become a major driver of the global economy. It is pushing Indonesia to adapt to increase national competitiveness towards the Vision of Golden Indonesia 2045. Digital communication innovations, such as 5G networks, the Internet of Things (IoT), and data-based services, play a crucial role in accelerating national economic transformation by increasing efficiency, connectivity, and productivity across sectors. Therefore, it is important to examine the extent to which telecommunications digitalization strengthens global competitiveness while reducing economic disparities between regions. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method, drawing on literature analysis, secondary data, and case studies in the digital finance sector, the manufacturing industry, and public services based on telecommunications technology. Empirical analysis shows that internet penetration in Indonesia has increased consistently during the 2022–2025 period, from around 67 percent in 2022 to 69 percent in 2023, then rising to 71 percent in 2024, and reaching around 72 percent in 2025. This trend reflects the continued growth in information technology adoption. National Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth remained relatively stable at around 5 percent during the same period, with little variation. The study's findings indicate that telecommunications digitalization serves as a structural catalyst, accelerating economic transformation, expanding financial inclusion, improving public governance efficiency, and strengthening the competitiveness of the national industry. In conclusion, digital telecommunications innovation is a strategic foundation for Indonesia's more efficient, inclusive, globally competitive, and sustainable economic development.

Abstract

Indonesia has targeted a 31.89% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions through its own efforts and up to 43.20% with international support by 2030. One of the main strategies in achieving this target is through ecosystem restoration, particularly forests and peatlands, which play a crucial role in carbon sequestration. However, restoration efforts still face challenges such as limited field data, delays in detecting ecosystem changes, and minimal technology integration in monitoring. To address these issues, this study proposes the use of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based monitoring system and smart sensors as an innovative solution. The research method used was a Literature Review, a research approach based on the collection, evaluation, and synthesis of various relevant scientific works to build a conceptual understanding of a topic. The results indicated that IoT implementation in Indonesia faces significant challenges, with network infrastructure in remote areas, limited implementation costs, uneven technical skills, and data security issues being the main obstacles. Furthermore, successful implementation requires institutional support, regulations, and local community participation to optimize the use of IoT-based monitoring systems.

Abstract

Pertumbuhan kendaraan bermotor di kawasan perkotaan menimbulkan masalah serius pada penyediaan lahan parkir. Keterbatasan ruang menyebabkan ketidakseimbangan antara kebutuhan dan kapasitas parkir, yang berdampak pada parkir liar, kemacetan lalu lintas, dan penurunan kualitas pelayanan kawasan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kecukupan penyediaan lahan parkir terhadap density kawasan di Pondok Indah Mall (PIM), Jakarta Selatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa PIM memiliki kapasitas 6.995 lot mobil dan 3.961 lot motor, dengan luas parkir 6.316,7 m² dari total bangunan 173.329,1 m². Rasio parkir terhadap luas bangunan adalah 4% untuk mobil dan 2,3% untuk motor. Indeks parkir menunjukkan kondisi overcapacity (mobil 103%, motor 113,6%). Turnover parkir harian mencapai 2,86 kali/hari untuk mobil dan 3,79 kali/hari untuk motor. Model regresi menunjukkan hubungan positif antara density dan kebutuhan parkir, dengan persamaan linear mobil y = 642,98 – 1,88x (R² = 0,167) dan motor y = –127,32 + 2,05x (R² = 0,167). Proyeksi kebutuhan 5 tahun ke depan memperlihatkan defisit makin besar. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kapasitas parkir PIM sudah tidak memadai, terutama untuk motor. Rekomendasi teknis meliputi pembangunan gedung parkir vertikal, penerapan smart parking system, tarif progresif, dan integrasi transportasi publik

Abstract

The high crime rate, especially theft, has prompted the development of a safe-deposit box equipped with intelligent monitoring technology to store valuable items, such as important documents, jewelry, and cash. The current safe-deposit box security system has the disadvantage of being easily accessed without permission, so a solution is needed to improve its security. This research aims to design and create a safe-deposit box door security system with an Internet of Things (IoT)-based RFID RC-522 module. This system can accurately identify users and monitor access in real time. The research method used is research and development, with a design for a safe-deposit box security system using the Arduino Wemos D1 R1 module as an Internet of Things (IoT) module, connected to the RFID RC-522 module, and programmed in the Arduino IDE to process input from the RFID RC-522 module. The results of the study show that the system works well, as indicated by the RFID RC522 module reading cards at an effective distance of approximately 2 cm. The LCDs show the RFID card reading status, and the Blynk application on a smartphone shows the same data as the safe-deposit box LCD

Abstract

Transformasi digital berkelanjutan menuntut sistem telekomunikasi yang tidak hanya berfokus pada peningkatan kapasitas dan kecepatan jaringan, tetapi juga pada kemampuan pengelolaan data yang cerdas dan efisien. Perkembangan teknologi jaringan modern, Internet of Things, dan komputasi berbasis data telah menghasilkan volume data jaringan yang besar dan kompleks, yang belum sepenuhnya dimanfaatkan untuk optimasi sistem. Penelitian ini membahas pengembangan sistem telekomunikasi cerdas berbasis kecerdasan data sebagai pendekatan strategis untuk mendukung transformasi digital yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini mencakup perancangan arsitektur sistem berbasis kecerdasan data, peran analitik data dalam peningkatan kinerja jaringan, serta kontribusinya terhadap efisiensi dan keberlanjutan sistem. Metode penelitian yang digunakan meliputi penelitian literatur, perancangan arsitektur konseptual, serta analisis kinerja sistem menggunakan pendekatan analitik data dan pembelajaran mesin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan kecerdasan data mampu meningkatkan efisiensi pengelolaan sumber daya jaringan dan keandalan layanan. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa integrasi kecerdasan data pada sistem telekomunikasi merupakan solusi yang efektif dan relevan untuk mewujudkan transformasi digital yang adaptif, efisien, dan berkelanjutan.
