Abstract

Telah dilakukan pelatihan pembuatan spesimen awetan organisme kepada guru-guru di provinsi NTB. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam membuat media pembelajaran untuk menunjang pelajaran keanekaragaman hayati disekolah. Kegiatan ini dilakukan selama 4 hari dari tanggal 30 Oktober-2 November 2017 yang diikuti oleh 34 guru yang ada di NTB. Melalui kegiatan ini, para guru diperkenalkan tentang keanekaragaman hayati yang ada di NTB khususnya dan Indonesia pada umumnya. Selain itu para guru juga dilatih melakukan sampling dan pengawetan flora dan fauna yang ada disekitar lingkungan tempat tinggal. Tehnik fotografi dan manajemen spesimen awetan diberikan untuk menambah softskill para guru sehingga spesimen yang dikoleksi dapat disimpan dalam jangka waktu yang lama. Para peserta pelatihan memberikan respon yang positif terhadap kegiatan ini. Hal tersebut dapat diketahui melalui jumlah peserta yang melebihi target, antusiaisme dalam mengikuti setiap kegiaatan dan permintaan untuk diundang dalam pelatihan-pelatihan berikutnya yang diadakan Universitas Mataram.

Abstract

The elderly population are considered unproductive. However, in Kalisari village, many older people continue to work. This study aims to determine the effect of age, education level, number of dependents and other income on the elderly's decision to work. Primary data were collected using interview based on questionnaires. The population consists of 144 people aged 60+ comprising of 84 people who are unemployed and 60 unemployed. In this study, the determination of the minimum sample size was carried out with the Slovin formula to choose 60 respondents consisting of 30 employed and 30 unemployed. Data analysis using binary logistic regression shows that age and education level do not have a significant effect on the elderly population's decision to work, while other income has a significant negative effect and the number of family dependents has a significant positive effect on the elderly's decision to work.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent of the development / development of oil palm in Kalimantan, in terms of the area, production, productivity of palm oil and labor absorption and its contribution to the scale of Indonesia. Here, Kalimantan ranks second after Sumatra. Kalimantan's contribution to Indonesia for the last 3 years until  2023, the area ranges from 34.79% to 39.49% (5,856,853 ha to 6,038,573 ha), production ranges from 38.62% to 42.44% (17,587,623 tons to 20,472,160 tons), productivity is 3,604 tons / ha to 4,192 tons / ha, the number of farmers ranges from 478,720 families to 516,146 families and the number of workers ranges from 2,273,901 kindergartens to 2,343,031 kindergartens,  The distribution of oil palm is in West Kalimantan (13 districts), Central Kalimantan (14 districts), South Kalimantan (13 districts), East Kalimantan (10 districts), and North Kalimantan (5 districts).

Abstract

Aik Bual Village has a durian community that grows durian, both local and introduced durian. The purpose of this study was to obtain information on the diversity and level of similarity of durian accessions in Aik Bual village, Central Lombok Regency in an effort to save and develop durian germplasm (Durio zibethinus) to obtain the diversity and level of similarity of durian accessions (D. zibethinus) in Aik Bual village, Central Lombok Regency. The study was conducted from December 2023 to October 2024. Sampling of D. zibenthinus accessions was collected using the exploration method. Morphological characterization data was analyzed using NTSys pc. 2.02i software. Durio kutejensis known as Lai was used as an outgroup in this study. The results of the study found eight accessions of D. zibethinus, consisting of introduced durian accessions such as Musang King, Black Thorn (Ochee), Montong, Kane, and Otong, while local durian accessions such as Mentega, Susu, and Sukun. Kinship analysis with NTsys resulted in two main groups, the first group consisting of Montong, Kane and Otong while the second group consisted of Musang King, Ochee, Sukun, Mentega and Susu.
