Abstract

Erupsi Gunung Merapi pada akhir tahun 2010 telah mengakibatkan kerusakan ekosistem terutama di wilayah Taman Nasional Gunung Merapi (TNGM). TNGM melakukan restorasi pasca letusan dengan membuat demonstrasi plot (demplot) restorasi menggunakan jenis tanaman puspa (Schima wallichii), salam (Syzygium polyanthum), dan gayam (Inocarpus edulis) sebagai tanaman inti restorasi. Di saat yang sama, jenis asing Acacia deccurens yang muncul sejak erupsi tahun 2006 mendominasi dan merubah struktur serta komposisi jenis yang ada di kawasan pasca erupsi tahun 2010. Keberadaan A. decurrens yang melimpah dalam demplot diperkirakan mengganggu pertumbuhan tanaman inti restorasi terutama dari penutupan tajuknya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui karakteristik pertumbuhan riap pohon A. decurrens pasca erupsi dan pengaruh naungan tajuk A. decurrens terhadap laju pertumbuhan tanaman restorasi. Demplot dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Blok Tidak Lengkap (Incomplete Block Design) dengan total sembilan blok dan masing-masing blok terdiri tiga plot tanaman berbeda, sedang jarak tanam dibuat 4 m x 5 m. Data yang diambil ialah diameter A. decurrens pada berbagai kriteria diameter untuk memperoleh riap pertumbuhan. Data lain yang diukur adalah tinggi dan diameter tanaman restorasipada kondisi ternaung >60% dan tidak ternaung <60%. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis R-statistik menggunakan Wilcoxon-paired test untuk mengetahui pengaruh naungan A. decurrens terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman restorasi. Hasil pengukuran dan analisis menunjukkan bahwa riap rata-rata diameter A. decurrens di dalam demplot sebesar 1,66 cm/tahun. Pada kelas diameter pohon <3,00 cm dan >10,00 cm mengalami perubahan yang cepat dibanding kelas diameter yang lain. Analisis wilcoxon-paired test menunjukkan bahwa tanaman gayam pada pertumbuhan tinggi dan diameter dipengaruhi oleh kondisi naungan. Jenis puspa pertambahan tinggi tidak dipengaruhi oleh kondisi naungan, sedangkan pada pertambahan diameter kondisi naungan memiliki pengaruh. Jenis salam pada kondisi naungan >60% maupun <60% tidak berpengaruh terhadap pertambahan tinggi maupun diameter jenis salam

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to disclose the importance of preserving the Batu Lumbang mangrove forest in Denpasar, Bali. The mangrove forest is notable for its high biodiversity rate, and it is also become a popular tourist destination at the same time. This study employs convergent parallel mixed-methods data collection, which includes observation, mapping with Google Earth and Landsat 8 satellite imagery, semi-structured interviews with relevant key informants, and a literature review. Afterwards, descriptive techniques are used to analyse the data. The results indicate that the Batu Lumbang mangrove forest has a coverage area of approximately 85.9 Ha, with a rainfall tension of approximately 100 mm/year in the rain season and 60 mm/year in the dry season. Sixteen vegetation species were discovered in the mangrove forest compound, all of which are common in lowland and mangrove ecosystems. There are also 36 species of fauna, the majority of which are bird and avian in nature. Furthermore, changes in land cover indicate a vibrant ecosystem in the Batu Lumbang mangrove forest area. So far, three types of land cover have been identified: mangrove forests, water bodies and the built environment. Mangrove forests remain dominant among these three, accounting for 60.35 %. As a result, it is no wonder that mangroves have become the primary tourist attraction in Batu Lumbang. Some preservation efforts related to tourism activities that can be made based on its ecological value include: establishing a system of visitor management, dealing with waste problems, and spatial management in areas with high biodiversity as a form of rigorous conservation initiative. Abstract

Lahan gambut di Provinsi Riau dapat dimanfaatkan dan dikelola di bidang pertanian dengan menerapkan sistem agroforestri, Salah satunya di Desa Dayun yang terletak di Kecamatan Dayun, Kabupaten Siak, Desa Lalang yang terletak di Kecamatan Sungai Apit, Kabupaten Siak, dan Desa Lalang Tanjung yang terletak di Kecamatan Tebing Tinggi Barat, Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti. Faktor yang mendukung untuk menerapkan sistem agroforestri ialah sistem agroforestri berupa jenis produk yang dihasilkan yang sangat beragam dibanding, namun pengembangan agroforestri dipengaruhi oleh tanggapan masyarakat atau persepsi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji persepsi masyarakat terhadap agroforestri pada lahan gambut di Provinsi Riau. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode snowball sampling dan pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi dokumen. Data yang diperoleh dari hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi masyarakat terhadap agroforestri pada lahan gambut di Provinsi Riau dapat dilihat dari pola penanaman dan pemilihan jenis tanaman agroforestri yang sesuai pada lahan gambut. Masyarakat juga beranggapan bahwa agroforestri pada lahan gambut sudah memberikan kontribusi baik dari aspek sosial ekonomi maupun ekologi. Adanya beberapa tanggapan/persepsi mengenai pertimbangan dan persiapan dalam menerapkan agroforestri pada lahan gambut. Masyarakat juga memberikan tanggapan yang baik terhadap keberlanjutan agroforestri dan berharap agroforestri dapat diterapkan seterusnya.

Abstract

Climate change has become an issue that is often discussed by many parties. One of the impacts is the erosion of the coast by sea waves. A group of environmentally conscious in Karawang are trying to reduce erosion by replanting damaged mangroves as a form of adaptation to environmental changes. The purpose of this paper is to reveal the results of mangrove planting carried out to reduce erosion by seawater. This study employs convergent parallel mixed-methods data collection, which included observation, and mapping with Google Earth and Landsat 8 satellite imagery. Semi-structured interviews with relevant key informants, and literature review. Afterward, descriptive techniques are used to analyze the data/ The findings of this study show that community-led mangrove revegetation initiatives have been successful in reducing seawater abrasion. An area of roughly 6.29 ha with a high-density level makes up the mangrove forest that has been successfully revegetated. It has also evolved into a habitat for numerous mangrove species. Additionally, the community practices ecotourism by using mangrove vegetation. On the other hand, the community's revegetation efforts are highly distinctive, notably by adding sand from sedimentation to generate additional land that is used by the community to build buildings, which may lead to future land ownership rights issues.

Abstract

The problem that is being faced by the world at this time is the waste problem, even in Indonesia itself it has not been resolved. Especially in Pulau Payung Village, which needs special attention regarding waste due to the crisis in the existence of trash bins, therefore the procurement of trash bins is carried out. The purpose of this activity is to increase public awareness about disposing of waste in its place so that the environment becomes cleaner and healthier. This activity consists of four stages, namely the preparation, implementation, final and evaluation stages. The evaluation was carried out by interviewing several resource persons involved in village management. The results of the service are considered quite good because they can encourage public awareness about cleanliness so that the environment becomes cleaner and healthier.

Abstract

Desa Alam Panjang merupakan merupakan salah satu desa yang ada di Kecamatan Rumbio Jaya Kabupaten Kampar. Desa ini memiliki luas kurang lebih 3.600 Hektar dengan jumlah penduduk lebih dari 800 KK. Sebagian besar penduduk desa Alam Panjang merupakan seorang petani kebun karet dan sawit. Hasil perkebunan yang melimpah menjadikan salah satu anggota PKK Alam Panjang memanfaatkan hal tersebut sebagai kreativitas yang dapat bermanfaat dan dikembangkan oleh masyarakat lainnya. Dengan berbahan dasarkan buah kelapa sawit dapat menjadi dodol tradisional yang enak dan mudah dibuat. Dengan adanya olahan dodol kelapa sawit ini dapat membantu UMKM warga desa Alam Panjang.

Abstract

Teratak Village is one of the villages that has a blacksmith center that focuses on the production of plantation harvesting equipment. The potential of the blacksmith business in Teratak village, Rumbio Jaya District is very interesting to be in Kembangan through devotion in utilizing digital technology. The use of websites, social media in this digital era websites are very important by business people to help the buying and selling process widely, easily, and as a means of promoting the potential of the village. The process of developing a blacksmith micro-business in the Teratak village of Rumbio Jaya District, Kampar Regency, experienced an incomprehension using technology and very limited capital. After conducting education and assistance in community service activities through the Abdimas integration KKN program, the community has the knowledge and ability to empower websites and social media to do Go digital marketing.

Abstract

Studi kerapatan dan perubahan tutupan mangrove menggunakan citra satelit sangat penting dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi kondisi ekosistem mangrove secara eksisting. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kerapatan dan perubahan tutupan mangrove menggunakan Citra Satelit Landsat 8 OLI dan Sentinel-2A Level 1C di Kecamatan Lasalepa, Kabupaten Muna. Pengamatan kerapatan mangrove secara insitu menggunakan plot pengamatan 100m2. Analisis perubahan tutupan mangrove menggunakan citra satelit multitemporal (2015-2020) dengan metode klasifikasi supervised classification. Terdapat lima jenis mangrove pada empat stasiun pengamatan. Pada Stasiun I-III dengan nilai kerapatan mangrove: 1.480 pohon/ha, 1.320 pohon/ha, dan 1.440 pohon/ha terkategori Baik (Sedang), sedangkan Stasiun IV dengan nilai kerapatan 2.120 pohon/ha terkategori Baik (Sangat Padat). Berdasarkan hasil analisis citra, perubahan tutupan lahan dalam rentang tahun 2015-2020 menunjukkan adanya peningkatan luasan.

Abstract

The wide areas of critical land in Indonesia are attracting a high level of attention due to the significant influence of global warming. Addressing this issue requires several priority efforts, such as critical land rehabilitation programs. The level of critical land rehabilitation can be evaluated with remote sensing technology. Therefore, this research aimed to assess critical land in South Sulawesi rehabilitated by PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (PT VI) as compensation for mining nickel from the forest areas. The assessment was conducted in three villages across Luwu, namely Binturu, Lamasi, and Rante Alang. Successful critical land rehabilitation was determined by monitoring land cover changes (LCC) based on satellite data generated using Harmonized Sentinel-2 from 2019 to 2023. Furthermore, analysis was performed using the Google Earth Engine (GEE) platform with the Random Forest machine learning algorithm and correlation matrix. The result showed five LC classes, including high-density, low-density, shrubs, bare land, and buildings. Before rehabilitation in 2019-2020, non-forested LC in the three villages was only at a proportion of 23.41%, while forested LC reached 58.92% and increased to 80-95% in 2021-2023. Critical land rehabilitation in Luwu was considered a success due to increased LC at high- and low-density classes, along with declines in bareland and buildings. Additionally, an inverse correlation was detected between high- and low-density LC classes and buildings, barelands, and shrubs. Elevation in high- and low-density LC could significantly contribute to mitigating climate change.

Abstract

Artikel ini menganalisis peran pariwisata ilmiah sebagai strategi pemberdayaan masyarakat multipihak dalam konteks masyarakat adat di Kampung Persiapan Malasigi, Provinsi Papua Barat Daya. Dengan mengadopsi perspektif pariwisata ilmiah sebagai upaya pemberdayaan masyarakat, penelitian ini menunjukkan bagaimana integrasi pengetahuan lokal, konservasi ekologis, dan inovasi kolaboratif dapat memperkuat agensi sosial dan ekonomi masyarakat adat. Adapun penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus yang pengambilan datanya dilakukan melalui teknik wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan Focus Group Discussion. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pariwisata ilmiah tidak hanya mendiversifikasi sumber pendapatan masyarakat, tetapi juga memperkuat identitas budaya dan memperluas legitimasi sosial melalui praktik wisata berbasis pengetahuan. Dalam hal ini, kolaborasi multipihak seperti FFI sebagai NGO konservasi, PT Pertamina EP Papua Field sebagai penyelenggara Program CSR MATA HATI MALASIGI, dan masyarakat adat Malasigi sebagai aktor utama telah berperan sebagai fasilitator kolaboratif yang memperkuat kapasitas lokal secara etis dan adaptif melalui pemberdayaan berbasis masyarakat.
