The results of this study showed that all the subjects, reflecting that when facing obstacles during a pandemic, they were able to bring up a set of skills that a person uses when faced with challenging thoughts, feelings, emotions, and/or experiences. Themes emerged included struggle to adapt, such as “Create New Innovations to Address Solutions," “An Attitude of Willingness to Learn to Face Challenges," “Functioning Effectively Despite Obstacles," “The Attitude of Continuing to Live Despite Obstacles”; struggle to accept, such as “Responding to Situations with a Positive Outlook”, “Gaining Wisdom," and finding meaning of events such as “Desire to Become a Better Version of Oneself.”. Meanwhile, factors that influenced psychological flexibility were teaching commitment, motivation, creativity, and social support. Overall, the study contributes to the comprehension of human virtue in a rural community setting during the hardest time of the pandemic.

Abstract

COVID-19 pandemic left so much unknown and unexplored knowledge in the field of Positive Psychology. This systematic literature review (SLR) aims to identify the factors that can predict posttraumatic growth after the traumatic exposure of COVID-19 pandemic. This SLR employed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines, with article selection criteria formulated using the Populations, Exposure, Outcomes, and Study Design (PEOS) framework. This SLR found that the only consistent external predictive factor for PTG is social support, while the consistent internal factors from inside the individual are self-efficacy, resilience, adaptive coping, and rumination. Emotional creativity and psychological flexibility were other internal factors considered as predictors.   The demographic factors which are considered can predict PTG are being female, age, and economic status. The results of this literature review found that most studies on predictors for PTG came from the geographical setting of China, with Cross-Sectional as the most preferred study design. Findings from this SLR contribute to future research agenda concerning study design and geographical setting, as well as mental health promotion to increase PTG in the community after years of COVID-19 pandemic. Abstract

ABSTRACT The Youth Care Health Service (PKPR) is a health service program aimed at youth in Primary Health Centers, which are expected to be able to provide services in order to achieve healthy youths. There is still a gender-neutral assumption that men and women are treated the same because they both have the same needs and problems. While gender equality is that men and women have different reproductive functions; however, they both are socially and culturally assumed to have the same reproductive health needs. Therefore, the PKPR program evaluation essential in handling gender-equality-and-justice oriented youth reproductive health issues. To evaluate the PKPR program in handling gender-equality-and-justice oriented youth reproductive health issues at the Gamping I Public Health Center using the CIPP model. Method: This research was qualitative research with a case study approach; it employed a embedded single-case design with a purposive sampling technique that utilized sampling technique with specific criteria. The number of participants in this study was 12 informants. The performance of PKPR had partially fulfilled the gender equality substance, namely, in terms of Context, Input, Process, and Product, although in its implementation, its assumption was more gender-neutral. The government budget was still limited so that the needs of a program could not be fulfilled, and there was a lack of parental participation in the PKPR.

Abstract

Young individuals frequently engage in intimate relationships, specifically premarital sex, which is categorized as unsafe sexual behavior. Numerous studies have highlighted the premarital sexual behavior of females, who face greater risks compared to their male counterparts. Understanding how gender differences influence this behavior is crucial for developing targeted strategies to mitigate the potential negative consequences among young people. A qualitative case study was conducted to examine the premarital sexual behavior of students in Province X and to identify the factors influencing it. Six participants—three male and three female students—were selected through purposive snowball sampling. After providing consent for private interviews, qualitative in-depth discussions were carried out. The results from thematic analysis revealed eleven key themes related to their premarital sexual behavior and six themes associated with influencing factors. Males reported engaging in their first sexual intercourse at an earlier age during adolescence, while females tended to do so slightly later, in early adulthood. Notably, males expressed feelings of guilty pleasure regarding their premarital sexual activities, whereas females shared unpleasant experiences stemming from a lack of assertiveness in declining sexual advances from their partners. They also reported facing judgmental attitudes from healthcare workers during medical checkups. Similarities found included having multiple sexual partners, neglecting reproductive health, and feeling a disconnection from their religious beliefs. The implications of the study are discussed further.
