Abstract

In a large corporation with multiple network devices, a network operator often has to manually configure each device. However, there are some requirements to re-organize devices becomes more flexible in order to respond to challenges such as restricting host and port (services) access.SDN or Software Defined Network is believed by some people to be one solution to answer the above challenges. In this study, some of the above problems will be answered using the concept of SDN. If there is a point of management, it will be possible to change network behavior and / or other configurations, and make other changes dynamically or automatically (programmed), especially in policy changes. In this exploration, OpenWRT is embedded in network devices so it is possible to be controlled. To facilitate the programming of the network, then built web services that are equipped with security authorization.The results of this exploration show that the concept of Software Defined Networking can answer the above problems, with relatively low cost.

Abstract

PT Trias Sentosa was founded in 1979. The company is dealing with manufacturing and production of plastics, During the last year to date, PT. Trias Sentosa Tbk has used a security system that is highly controlled and has been tested kelayakanya communication between each warehouse to a central server. However, sometimes the data from BOPPET that go into servers sometimes experience an error or what is often called "bugs" this causes their data and data terduplikat less valid, but each day PT Trias itself made of plastic with a large number. Therefore, the Information Systems Audit and ISO (International Organization for Standardization) to a solution to measure whether the security of application systems that exist within the company in accordance with the standards that have been internationally recognized that IT governance contained in the COBIT (Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology). COBIT is a framework for information technology published by ISACA (Information Systems Audit and Control Association) and is used because it has a high level of complexity and coverage. As well, in this analysis, the domain used is based on COBIT Deliver and Support. Then from that domain, the discussion is limited to the level DS5 (Ensure Security Systems). And to ISO itself is limited by ISO 27002 (Information Security Management System.)

Abstract

Globalization Era has pushed the communication around the world to be more intensive. The communication that has been provided by technology can even be used real time. Globalization also pushed the cooperation of universities or institution between countries, Communication is needed to establish cooperation, and teleconference is the best method of communication to establish this cooperation. Nginx and RTMP is used to develop this broadcast server, the server can be used for live streaming both publicly and privately, via self-owned hardware and network, so the usage of existing platform can be negated.  Users are able to use the server for teleconference and other real-time communication activities. Server can also archive the live streaming session, and the file from archive can be played on demand. The server can also become a relay to transmit a stream that its currently receiving to another platform or other server. After a series of test, server is able to use the features than had been worked on, and can be used as self-hosted server for live streaming, especially teleconference.

Abstract

Information technology based on android useful in the business world, one of which forecasting sales. In forecasting a sale requires the right decision. Such mature and exact decisions can be obtained by forecasting with decision support systems using information technology android based. Sales forecasting is a solution to make product sales more effective. But if the forecasting is done manually, it only takes up time and effort.Applications developed using android base with the help of PHP, so users of the application can be easy in forecasting for product sales. In the application to perform sales data forecasting calculation using two methods, namely, a combination of Linear Trend method with Seasonal Adjustment method and Triple Exponential Smoothing method.The results of this android-based application development are able to forecast sales in the coming year which can display the number of units based on selected products, cities, weeks and months, in addition the results of both methods are also measured using the MAPE method. This application can provide more accurate forecasting results than forecasting manually. The MAPE method is used to measure the accuracy of a forecasting method.

Abstract

Distributed and parallel applications are growing rapidly in this modern era, and so are the needs for more compute resources. The emerging solution to meet these needs is cloud system. Cloud is a collection of computers working together as a unified system. The cloud system provides compute resources to users.One type of cloud is private cloud. Private cloud has restricted users, who work in the same environment or company. As needed, the deployed cloud service is an Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), where users can request for certain computer specifications with a specific operating system.Computer laboratories in Petra Christian University have computer resources with sufficient specifications that can be utilized to implement a private cloud. The laboratories are not always used for learning classes, thus their resource usage is not optimal. Therefore, implementation of the private cloud is carried out at one of the computer laboratories.OpenStack cloud framework was used for the implementation. Evaluation was done by measuring the performance of the virtual instances and comparing it to that of the physical hosts. The results were used to further determine the benefits offered by the private cloud.

Abstract

At this time, the router becomes one of the important needs. Most users use a common router on the market, and the router can only be functional as a router, in the financial side it's certainly not profitable.Based on background of the problem, then Implementation of Wireless Router by Using Raspberry Pi 3 which is a small multifunctional computer that can be use to run OpenWRT operating system and it can use I2C 16x2 LCD which can display brief information of network that is running.Results that had been obtained from trials that have been made, are able to make Raspberry Pi 3 into a router with security systems and able to display bandwidth and number of clients on LCD I2C 16x2.

Abstract

Istilah cloud computing sudah biasa digunakan pada hari-hari ini. Penggunaan cloud computing kini sudah menyebar di seluruh dunia dan digunakan oleh banyak perusahaan. Karena penggunaannya yang semakin besar, muncullah kebutuhan akan cloud storage. Cloud storage tidak hanya memanfaatkan sumber daya dengan lebih efektif dan efisien, namun juga dapat mempermudah dalam penggunaan virtual machine. Ada beberapa protokol alternatif yang dapat diimplementasikan untuk cloud storage, dimana masing-masing protokol tersebut memiliki kelebihannya sendiri, sehingga skripsi ini bertujuan untuk menentukan protokol alternatif yang paling baik untuk diimplementasikan pada OpenStack cinder dalam pemanfaatan cloud storage.Implementasi cloud computing dilakukan di laboratorium komputer Universitas Kristen Petra menggunakan private cloud. Hal ini dikarenakan spesifikasi komputer di laboratorium tergolong bagus, namun tidak selalu digunakan untuk kelas sehingga dapat dimanfaatkan dengan lebih maksimal. Untuk penyedia storage digunakan NAS Synology DS416J. Implementasi menggunakan framework cloud OpenStack, yang menyediakan Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) dalam penggunaannya. OpenStack cinder adalah salah satu project OpenStack yang menyediakan cloud storage dengan persistent storage. Cinder sendiri dapat diimplementasi menggunakan protokol fibre channel, NFS, dan iSCSI, namun protokol yang menjadi fokus pelitian ini adalah NFS dan iSCSI.Setelah implementasi, pengujian dilakukan dengan cara mengukur performa protokol NFS dan iSCSI saat diimplementasikan pada OpenStack cinder menggunakan IOzone. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian tersebut dapat dilihat bahwa NFS memiliki keunggulan saat melakukan write pada file dengan record size yang kecil, sedangkan iSCSI unggul saat melakukan write pada file dengan record size yang besar, namun pada aktivitas read tidak terlihat perbedaan yang mencolok antara protokol NFS dan iSCSI. Dengan memperhitungkan hasil pengujian dan analisa sistem yang telah dibuat, pada skripsi ini diambil kesimpulan bahwa protokol iSCSI lebih baik untuk diimplementasikan pada OpenStack cinder dibandingkan NFS.

Abstract

With the lack of knowledge about the disease and treatment of animal diseases, animals do not get first aid, if we know the ilness no need to be panic and bring the animal to the doctor to perform further tests.Therefore, to help understand the illness and knowing first aid should be done when a pet suffering from the disease, it takes an application that can help detect what type of disease suffered and help necessary.From the above problems the authors designed a web-based expert system application that can overcome the above problems.

Abstract

Personal financial management is important in supporting the realization of someone's goals. By doing personal financial management, each individual knows the goals to be achieved, so each individual have to optimally utilize the management of financial resources to achieve goals. Many young people today has not been able to plan and control the use of money to achieve goals. Other than that, young people is also lazy to record the costs of his daily expenses because they have to recorded manually on paper. With a gadget that can be taken anywhere and easy Internet access, then designed application that can help record the expense costs or income daily. In this research, Android-based personal finance manager application will be made in this thesis. This application has a feature that can help user to control the use of their money in graphical form, reminder for paying debt and paying credit card bills, limiting budget, create their own savings, and see the real time  exchange rate.Based on the result of the implementation and testing, the application can  provide both income and expense reports in graphical form, also can remind user to pay debt according to the date that user set, and remind user to pay credit card bills before the due. With this application, users can manage their personal finances to achieve their goals.
