Abstract

The present learning process should be directed at higher-order thinking skills (HOTS). However, there are still many teachers in elementary schools who have not implemented hots learning as a whole, both in terms of learning models, media, and assessments, because there are no guidelines or modules related to the implementation of HOTS, especially at the elementary school level. This condition certainly requires an adaptation process that is not easy and also includes synthesizing, analyzing, reasoning, comprehending, applying, and evaluating. Therefore, this study aims to determine the implementation of HOTS in elementary schools, using learning models, media, and assessment. In this experiment, a narrative review was used with a database search and thematic analysis. The criteria used also emphasized the articles from various sources, such as national and international scientific journals, related topics, the last 5 years of publication within 2018-2022, and full-text pdf versions in ERIC and Mendeley. From this process, a total of 11 articles were subsequently analyzed. Based on the results, the following was obtained, (1) several learning models stimulated, trained, developed, and improved HOTS in elementary school students, using project and problem-based learning, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), inquiry, problem determination and solution, concept construction and analysis, as well as RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, and Create). (2) Learning media capable of developing HOTS include question-based fun thinkers, Android-based word search educational games, and a related crossword puzzle. (3) HOTS assessments were carried out using the Two-Level Multiple Choices Test (TTMCT) instrument. This led to the establishment of the criteria for students’ product evaluations, using formative and summative assessments, self, peer, and teacher-evaluation incorporation, as well as HOTS question development. From these results, teachers need to use various learning models, media, and assessments. Teacher should also initiate the aspects of higher-order thinking skills, including learning analysis, evaluation, and development.

Abstract

The learning model used in primary schools still tends to use conventional learning, resulting in less optimal critical thinking skills and students’ learning outcomes. This study aims to analyze the discovery learning model in improving critical thinking skills and learning outcomes of primary school students. This study uses a narrative review with 2 steps, namely database search, and thematic analysis. The criteria used are articles from national and international scientific journals, articles related to research topics, articles published in the last 5 years with a duration (2016-2021), and articles available full-text pdf versions that have been published on Google Scholar and Research gate. Of the 28 articles obtained, only 25 articles are analyzed. The results of this study indicate that the discovery learning model can improve critical thinking skills and learning outcomes of primary school students.

Abstract

COVID-19 has caused a crisis of teacher professionalism degradation. It has surprised teachers at all levels and at the same time inspired them to seek solutions to problems they had never encountered before. Teachers and students are required to adapt to the new normal so that teachers transition in professional life from offline to online. This study aims to analyze the professionalism of teachers during the COVID-19 pandemic, in terms of pedagogical, personality, social, and professional competencies. The method used is a systematic literature review (SLR), identifying, evaluating, and interpreting all findings on a research topic to answer pre-determined research questions using the preferred reporting item for systematic review and meta-analytic (PRISMA). This research database uses Scholar, ERIC, and Mendeley. The results of the study show that teacher professionalism is decadent during the COVID-19 period. pedagogical competence becomes highly cognitive because of the weak transfer of values ​​online. personality competence has distorted the teacher's charisma because for almost two years the students have not met the teacher. Social competence of teachers fails to develop a sense of togetherness because of social and physical distancing. Besides that, the professionalism phase of teachers in Indonesia is in the collegial phase, pedagogic competence is considered more important than other competencies. In terms of personality competence, female teachers have a higher level of professional commitment than male teachers and the professional level of teachers with a master's degree education is significantly higher than the level of professional commitment of teachers with undergraduate education. Individual work professionalism is determined and monitored collectively. This means that the principal will be given decision-making authority over school policies and procedures and the support capacity of school leaders is needed. Pedagogy and professionalism during and after a pandemic will drive transformational change. Guidelines for professional behavior are needed to interpret what the professionalism of teachers looks like during the COVID-19 pandemic. In conclusion, the concept of teacher professionalism is no longer relevant in the COVID-19 era. For future research recommendations, it is necessary to develop guidelines for professional teacher behavior during the pandemic, both COVID-19 and other natural phenomena that cause pandemics.

Abstract

Established in 2016, Bank Sampah Lestari, a community-based waste bank, was forced to cease operations due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This outreach initiative aimed to revitalize waste management activities at Bank Sampah Lestari. Employing a Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) approach, the project encompassed a series of activities, including raising awareness about the crucial role of waste banks, guiding participants in waste sorting practices, facilitating the sale of paper and cardboard waste, teaching organic fertilizer production, promoting maggot cultivation, encouraging the creation of handicrafts from plastic waste, and supporting vegetable gardening within the bank's premises. The project's outcomes included: 1) the establishment of a new organizational structure for bank sampah membership, 2) the resumption of waste sorting, collection, and sales activities, and 3) enhanced community creativity and knowledge regarding waste management practices.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengembangkan LKS IPA berbasis pendekatan scientific pada materi Perubahan Kenampakan Bumi dan Benda Langit untuk SD/MI kelas IV, 2) mengetahui proses pengembangan LKS IPA, dan 3) mengetahui kualitas LKS IPA. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan Research and Development. Penelitian pengembangan ini menghasilkan: 1) hasil produk LKS IPA berupa materi, tugas dan latihan soal, eksperimen, kata mutiara, informasi tambahan, dan refleksi. 2) Pengembangan produk LKS IPA meliputi tujuh tahap yaitu tahap penelitian dan mengumpulkan informasi, tahap perencanaan, tahap mengembangkan bentuk awal produk, tahap uji lapangan awal, tahap revisi produk awal, tahap uji lapangan utama, dan tahap revisi produk operasional. 3) Hasil penilaian dari para ahli, kualitas produk LKS IPA memperoleh persentase penilaian 80,42% dengan kategori baik. Hasil penilaian teman sejawat dan guru memperoleh persentase penilaian 92,66% dengan kategori sangat baik (SB). Hasil tanggapan siswa kelas eksperimen mengenai produk LKS IPA pengembangan memperoleh persentase penilaian 92,29% dengan kategori interval antara “Setuju dan Sangat Setuju”, sedangkan tanggapan siswa kelas kontrol mengenai LKS IPA sebelumnya memperoleh persentase penilaian 67,29% termasuk kategori interval antara “Kurang Setuju dan Setuju”

Abstract

Halaqah merupakan model belajar melalui interaksi secara intensif, pemikiran, akidah, perilaku, dan pematangan kejiwaan. Pematangan secara berkelanjutan ini hanya dapat dilakukan dengan sarana halaqah. Halaqah dipilih karena munculnya permasalahan yg dihadapi yaitu masih ditemukannya para siswa yang belum semangat saat halaqah pagi. Dibuktikan dengan masih banyak ditemukannya siswa yang kurang bersemangat saat pembelajaran halaqah dilakukan.Selain itu, karena untuk menangani beberapa permasalahan yg dihadapi yaitu : masih ditemukannya para siswa yang belum paham akan pentingnya belajar Al-Qur’an serta memahami Al-Qur’an. Kedua, belum paham dan fasih dalam pembedaan huruf Hijjayah dan siswa yang tidak menyelesaikan taman pendidikan Al-Qur’an (TPQ) atau tidak pernah menempuh TPQ. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi tentang Peranan Halaqah Pagi Terhadap Semangat Belajar Al-Qur’an Pada Siswa Saat Pembelajaran Daring, dengan melihat (1) Pelaksanaan metode halaqah pagi via daring di SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Alternatif Kota Magelang,(2) Semangat mengaji dan menghafal Al-Qur’an siswa SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Alternatif Kota Magelang, dan (3) Peranan metode halaqah Pagi lewat daring terhadap semangat mengaji dan menghafal Al-Qur’an siswa di SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Alternatif Kota Magelang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan menggambarkan hasil penelitian dengan kata-kata, agar diperoleh data yang akurat. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan dapat diketahui: (1) Pelaksanaan metode halaqah pagi dilaksanakan menggunakan metode sorogan, dimulai dengan membaca surah pendek kemudian dilanjutkan dengan mengaji Al-Qur’an atau hafalan surah. Ada tiga kegiatan yang dilakukan yaitu tahsin,tilawah,tahfidz melalui video call lewat whatssapp (2) Semangat mengaji dan menghafal para siswa sudah baik. (3) Peranan metode halaqah yaitu menambah kelancaran mengaji dan menghafal dari para siswa, meningkatkan kecintaan para siswa terhadap Al-Qur’an.

Abstract

Domain penilaian sikap dalam Kurikulum 2013 meliputi sikap spiritual dan sikap sosial. Dalam penelitian ini membahas tentang teknik penilaian sikap dalam pembelajaran tematik kurikulum 2013 dengan menggunakan media papan bintang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) mengetahui pelaksanaan penilaian sikap dalam pembelajaran tematik kurikulum 2013 di MIN 1 Kabupaten Magelang, (2) menerapkan teknik penilaian sikap yang efektif dengan menggunakan media papan bintang. Penelitian ini merupakan field research dengan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah studi dokumen, observasi, wawancara, dan kuisioner. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi, pedoman wawancara, dan lembar kuisioner. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas 2A MIN 1 Kabupaten Magelang. Target luaran dari kegiatan penelitian ini adalah media papan bintang untuk memudahkan guru melaksanakan penilaian sikap dan publikasi artikel ilmiah. Hasil penelitian adalah penggunaan media papan bintang dapat memudahkan guru melaksanakan penilaian sikap, guru melaksanakan penilaian sikap sesuai dengan prosedur karena sebelumnya menggunakan modus, dan penggunakan media papan bintang ini dapat memotivasi siswa untuk merubah sikap menjadi lebih baik.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of teaching aids for time material at school. Thepurpose of this study was to develop Waginem (Morning and Evening Time) teaching aidsto make it easier for students to understand the time material in learning mathematics.The type of research is development research (R&D) which consists of several stages,namely finding potentials and problems, gathering information, product design, designvalidation, design improvement, and product testing. The product trial subjects werestudents of class II MI Muhammadiyah Paremono Magelang. The instrument used is aquestionnaire sheet to determine the validity and responses of students to teaching aids.The results showed that Waginem's teaching aid was very valid with a score of 89.5% andstudent responses scored 97.2% with very good criteria. So that the conclusion is thatWaginem's teaching aids are suitable for use in time material learning mathematics forgrade II elementary school students.

Abstract

When learning is transferred online, as many as 61% of students feel lazy to take part in learning, especially in mathematics. This study aims to analyze the obstacles experienced by students when learning mathematics online during the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used is descriptive with a quantitative approach. The data collection technique used an instrument in the form of a questionnaire through a google form for students. This research was carried out at MI Muhammadiyah Krendetan by involving 18 grade 6 students. The results showed that there were several obstacles for grade 6 students at MI Muhammadiyah Krendetan, namely online mathematics learning did not take place effectively, only a few students had adequate facilities for support online learning, unstable internet access, and students feel bored. In conclusion, teachers must make efforts to make online mathematics learning during the COVID-19 pandemic interesting, more creative, and innovative and the role of parents and the environment around students to support students' online learning so that mathematics learning can take place optimally.

Abstract

The rapid spread of COVID-19 in Indonesia has caused all learning activities to be shifted online. Learning mathematics online encountered several obstacles and then implemented it using blended learning. This study aims to determine the implementation of the blended learning method in mathematics learning and the obstacles in the implementation of blended learning mathematics. The method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques are observation and interviews. The research subjects were the principal, 5th grade mathematician and 5th grade students. The research location was at MI Muhammadiyah Sriwedari. Muntilan Magelang. The results of this study are the implementation of learning at MI Muhammadiyah Sriwedari during the Covid-19 pandemic using Blended Learning, namely online learning using whatsapp and youtube media, while offline learning is carried out with strict procedures and short learning times, and is carried out in two shifts. In conclusion, this blended learning method can help educators and students to develop better in the learning process, according to learning styles, preferences in learning and the characteristics of students in receiving the material presented.
