Muhammadiyah University of Magelang (UMMagelang) with Study Program Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education (PGMI) has a vision "To become a superior and nationally Islamic study program in 2024 the development of Islamic science in the field of teacher professional education (MI/SD)". In order to realize the performance and improvement of PGMI Study Program lecturers based on 17 quality objectives set out in the appendix of the study program vision, in this article only the criteria for research and service are delivered, the PGMI UMMagelang study program refers to the UMMagelang research roadmap. In the last 3 years, lecturers of PGMI were involved in 28 Research and Service Titles. Allah SWT told us that in the story of the assabiquunal awwalun there were lessons learned for the thinking people, which is able to contemplate the stories, finding her wisdom and advice, as well as digging of the stories are life lessons and instructions. Story method is one of God ways in educating and teaching people. This is in line with the conditions that psychologically human loves stories. Hopefully using story methods, we can deliver educational messageseffectively without anyone feeling patronized. In Qur'an, Allah tells examples (uswah hasanah)and lessons (ibrah)for all of us through the stories of the Prophet, figures, and the earlier people. By referring to the stories found in Qur'an, we can conclude that the Qur'an is a way of life that explains the life of past, present and future. The Qur?an also teach us about the educational value of monotheism, intellectual, moral / moral, sexual, spiritual, democracy.

Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk mensosialisasi pengelolaan sampah, pendampingan pengelolaan sampah sehingga terwujudnya sekolah sehat sesuai dengan ketentuan Majelis Dikdasmen PP Muhammadiyah No. 06/KTN/1.4/F/2013 tentang sekolah sehat. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode Participatory Rural Apraisal (PRA). Metode PRA dipilih berdasarkan pertimbangan bahwa yang mempunyai atau menghadapi masalah adalah mitra, oleh karena itu keterlibatan mitra secara aktif dalam penentuan pemecahan masalah sangat diperlukan. Tahapan persiapan meliputi ijin kegiatan, menyiapkan kelengkapan dan menyusun jadwal. Tahap pelaksanaan diantaranya manajemen pelaksanaan program meliputi FGD, sosialisasi, pelatihan, praktek, pendampingan, lomba kebersihan kelas dan pengelolaan sampah. Tahap pelaporan meliputi penyusunan dokumen monitoring pelaksanaan kegiatan dan penyusunan laporan. Adapun hasil dari program kemitraan universitas dengan judul PKU Dengan Majelis Dikdasmen PCM Salam: kegiatan pendampingan pengelolaan sampah melalui pendekatan berbasis 3R dalam rangka mewujudkan sekolah sehat di SMP Muhammadiyah Salam adalah terbentuknya kebiasaan positif warga sekolah tentang kesadaran menjaga kebersihan lingkungan dan bagaimana cara mengelola sampah yang baik dan benar. Hal tersebut terbukti dengan hasil monitoring yang dilakukan oleh tim dalam setiap tahap pelaksanaan PKU. Selain hal tersebut, kepala sekolah telah menetapkan kebijakan bahwa kegiatan lomba kebersihan kelas dan pengelolaan sampah menjadi kegiatan rutin tahunan dengan harapan berdampak pada kegiatan lomba sekolah sehat yang dilaksanakan terpusat oleh Majelis Dikdasmen yang sewaktu-waktu akan dilaksanakannya monitoring dan evaluasi terhadap kegiatan tersebut, tim PKU akan senantiasa melakukan pendampingan bila sewaktu-waktu mitra membutuhkan

Kurangnya rasa memiliki Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) terhadap Amal Usaha Muhammadiyah (AUM) di tempat tugas, ditengarai menjadi penyebab terhambatnya perkembangan AUM. Hal tersebut ditunjukkan dengan kurangnya perhatian pada pembinaan yang dilakukan oleh Majelis Dikdasmen dalam rangka peningkatan kualitas SDM. Menyadari bahwa SDM membutuhkan kontrol tentang diri mereka, Pimpinan Muhammadiyah Cabang (PCM) Salam dengan Majelis Dikdasmen perlu mengambil peran dalam memberikan pembinaan, pengawasan, serta pendampingan untuk meningkatkan kualitas SDM baik dari segi layanan, pembelajaran dan memupuk rasa memiliki SDM terhadap AUM untuk penguatan kelembagaan. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode Participatory Rural Apraisal (PRA). Tahapan kegiatan diawali persiapan meliputi ijin kegiatan, menyiapkan kelengkapan dan menyusun jadwal pelaksanaan meliputi FGD, penyusunan dokumen monitoring penguatan kelembagaan dan penyusunan laporan. Adapun hasil dari program kemitraan Universitas menunjukkan bahwa rasa memiliki SDM terhadap AUM di lingkungan PCM Salam dalam kategori cukup yang ditunjukkan dengan hasil monitoring keaktifan pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan dalam kajian ahad pagi dan kegiatan persyarikatan di lingkungan tempat tinggalnya. Dengan demikian, diperlukan pendamping berkelanjutan untuk mewujudkan SDM yang unggul dan senantiasa meningkatkan rasa memiliki terhadap AUM.

AbstrakProses pelaksanaan pembelajaran sains di MI peranannya masih tersentral pada guru (teacher centered) yang menyebabkan peserta didik kurang tertarik terhadap materi yang diajarkan. Selain itu, kurangnya peningkatan kualitas guru dari segi kompetensi pedagogis. Fakta di lapangan memperlihatkan bahwa dalam mempelajari sains, siswa cenderung lebih menghafal konsep, teori, dan prinsip tanpa memaknai proses perolehannya. Untuk memecahkan permasalahan tersebut, perlu dilakukan upaya berupa perbaikan strategi pembelajaran dengan tujuan mempermudah pemahaman peserta didik dalam keterampilan proses dan karakteristik islami. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan tentang implikasi penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dalam pembelajaran sains kelas V ditinjau dari keterampilan proses dan dampaknya terhadap karakter islami peserta didik tahun akademik 2018/2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif metode tindakan (action research) dengan kegiatan siklus 1 dan 2 mencakup empat tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Pelaksanaan pengumpulan data melalui teknik tes, angket, observasi, catatan lapangan, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan proses sains siklus pertama tergolong cukup baik dengan presentase 69,79% dan pada siklus kedua dengan presentase 73,01% cukup baik dengan mengalami peningkatan 3,26%. Karakter islami peserta didik pada siklus 1 menunjukkan presentase 85,00% kategori baik dan pada siklus kedua menunjukkan 90,96% pada kategori baik dengan mengalami peningkatan 5,96%. Oleh karena itu, karakteristik islami peserta didik pada mata pelajaran sains dapat dibentuk dan meningkat dengan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) melalui keterampilan proses.AbstractThe implementation of the science learning process in MI focused on the teacher (teacher-center) which caused the students were uninterested to the material taught. In addition, the lack of teachers’ quality improvement in terms of pedagogical competence. The facts in the field showed that in studying science, students tended to memorize concepts, theories, and principles without interpreting the acquisition process. To solve these problems, the efforts need to be done such as improving the learning strategies in order to facilitate the students' understanding of process skills and Islamic characteristics. The purpose of this study was to describe the implications of applying Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in class V base on learning process skill and the impact on the students’ Islamic character in the academic year 2018/2019. This study used qualitative approach with the action research where in the cycle 1 and 2 activities covered four stages, namely planning, implementing, observing, reflecting. Implementation of data collection through tests, questionnaires, observations, field notes, and documentation. The research findings showed that the science process skills of the first cycle were quite good with 69.79% and in the second cycle was 73.01% which was quite good with an increase of 3.26%. The students’ Islamic characters in cycle 1 showed 85.00% in good category and in the second cycle showed 90.96% in the good category with an increase of 5.96%. Therefore, Islamic characteristics of students in science subjects can be built and improved by applying Problem Based Learning (PBL) models through process skills.

Low ability of students solving the problems can be overcome by accustomed to work on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) which include analyzing (C4), evaluating (C5) and creating (C6). This study aims to find the distribution of Mathematics questions based on HOTS in integrated thematic textbooks in the 2013 curriculum. Its importance is to give an overview to the government, especially teachers about the quality of these books which are used by schools until 2021. This research is a content analysis with a qualitative approach. Data sources in this study are integrated thematic textbooks of Curriculum 2013 revised edition 2018 for grades I to III SD / MI. The data analysis technique uses percentage analysis. The results showed that the cognitive level of HOTS class I in C4 at 22%, C5 at 4%, C6 at 11%. Class II, C4 at 28%, C5 at 1%, C6 at 6%. Meanwhile, class III, C4 at 29%, C5 at 3%, C6 at 6%. In conclusion, HOTS mathematics questions on cognitive level C4, C5, and C6 in the thematic books of the 2013 curriculum for classes I, II, and III have not reached the criteria for good questions because the percentage of good questions for each cognitive level is C4 40%, C5 30% , and C6 by 30%.

There are madrassas which indicates a superior madrassa madrassa in fact superior to those faced with the efficiency and effectiveness of management is still found many obstacles to realize as a madrasah that really excels. The research focused on the study of the role of headmaster in the form of superior madrassa. The formulation of the problem in general is "How far the efficiency and effectiveness of the headmaster in the form of superior madrassa in Magelang?". Operationally, these problems are detailed in the following research questions: How can the effectiveness and efficiency of the planning role of the headmaster to form Madrasah excellence in the City and District of Magelang ?, How strategic components that characterize featured madrasa in the city and district of Magelang managed ?. The general objective of this study is to examine in depth and analyze the efficiency and effectiveness of superior madrassa in the District and the City of Magelang. The method used in this research is quantitative research methods. As for the data collection is done through questionnaires, interviews, observation, and documentation study. Based on the results of the study concluded that the madrasa excel in the District and City of Magelang yet overall managing madrasah efficiently and effectively in accordance with the criteria of efficiency and effectiveness in the management of superior madrassa. The condition occurs as a result of the planning, implementation, development and quality assurance, monitoring and control, as well as the Review and evaluation of the strategic components of madrasas have not managed efficiently and effectively.Key Word : Kepala MI, Madrasah Unggulan

MIM Jagalan (1950) and MIM Jumoyo (1968) is a Basic Education Institution in Salam Sub-district, Magelang. Although it has been half a century established, but until now still experiencing a number of obstacles, among which are 1) the low knowledge and understanding of the National Education Standards (SNP) so that the impact on the implementation of quality education process; 2) the existence of gaps in the implementation of primary education (MI and SD) in Salam District Magelang regency; 3) The objective conditions of teachers and human resources and the resources of instructional media for educational visual aids (APE) so as to impact on the limitations in supporting quality learning process; 4) The lack of support of madrasah stakeholders in the development of madrasah both morally and materially. In relation to this matter, it is a community service activity that aims to improve the quality of madrasah to madrasah with quality education process. The method to be used in the achievement of the objective is Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) participatory community empowerment model. The method is divided into three stages: preparation, implementation and mentoring, and preparation of reports. The preparation phase begins with permission, preparation through Forum Group Discussion (FGD) division of implementing tasks with partners. Implementation phase begins with socialization, SNP evaluation, document quality assurance, APE development assistance, strategy training and learning method, final stage of preparation of final report.

ABSTRACT Knowledge is intrinsically comes from Allah SWT which is revealed to Prophet Muhammad SAW and is embodied in Al Qur’an. Paradigm is a group of values which form one’s thought as his or her starting point of view so that it will form one’s subjective image – about a reality – which finally will determine how this one responds the reality. Human should not ever stop thinking about him/her self, his/her surrounding, and (the most important) The Creator. Islam taught its followers to always undertake studies on behavior or any rotation and changes happen, either on natural phenomenon or what happen amongst human beings. Science teaching in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (Islamic Elementary School) should instill moral values that educate students to become caracterized. It can be undertaken by science teaching using integrated bayani, burhani, and irfani approach. Keyword: science teaching, integrated bayani burhani irfani approach.
