Abstract

This research was conducted to see whether there was an influence of liquidity and profitability on profit growth in three islamic commercial banking companies listed on the indonesia stock exchange (BEI). The phenomenon of profit growth is the company’s ability to increase net profit compared to the previous year. Good profit growth can reflect that the company’s financial performance and financial condition are good. Profit growth can be calculated by subtracting the current period’s net profit from the previous period’s net profit and the dividing by the previous period’s net profit. There are two ratios used in this research, namely the liquidity ratio (Current Ratio, Quick Ratio) and the profitability ratio (Return On Asset).

Abstract

The capital market is an activity involving the trading of securities and public offerings. It also involves institutions and professions dealing with securities. Investors have the potential to allocate their funds to safe-haven investment instruments, although the increase in the number of investors does not correspond to the level of literacy, especially in the capital market, which was only 4.92% in 2019 and decreased to 4.11% in 2022. This research aims to determine how the optimal stock portfolio is formed on the IDX Shariah Growth index in the period from November 2022 to March and from April to August 2023. The research results show that in the period from November 2022 to March 2023, six stocks were selected as candidates for the optimal portfolio, including SMDR, PWON, ISAT, TINS, HEAL, and INCO. On the other hand, in the period from April to August 2023, only SMDR and MAPI were included as candidates. Interestingly, SMDR was consistently selected in both periods. The proportion of the optimal portfolio in November 2022 - March 2023 was 11.62% for SMDR, while in April - August 2023, the proportion of SMDR increased to 25%. The optimal portfolio consisting of two stocks in April - August 2023 is estimated to generate a return of -0,28% per month, with an investment risk of 2.25%. Compared to the period of November 2022 - March 2023, which resulted in a return not significantly different, namely -0,078%, the investment risk level was much higher at 3,8%. However, this risk is lower than investing in individual stocks. Thus, forming an optimal portfolio is one effective way to diversify and reduce investment risk.

Abstract

This research was conducted to oblain information about the impact of Alfamart on the income of micro businesses in Paal Merah Village, Jambi City. This research was conducted directly in the field using qualitative research, namely with interviews conducted in a relaxed manner, not complicating traders, and the questions asked were not interrogative but only to obtain the data needed to complete and complete the writing in this study. The results showed that before there was Alfamart the income of traders was around Rp. 1.000.000 – Rp. 6.000.000, but after the presence of Alfamart their income decreased to only Rp. 600.000 – Rp. 3.000.000 while the other 2 stores earn a steady income. One of the factors that decrease Alfamart’s income is the distance between small traders and Alfamart which is too close and the good and comfortable service provided by Alfamart. Thus, the role of strategy is very important for small traders in general, by arranging a good and comfortable store, increasing trading hours, and adding complete types of goods needed by the surrounding community, as well as good service to comsumers.

Abstract

A strong entrepreneurial sector plays a crucial role in a country's economic growth. Entrepreneurship not only contributes to creating jobs, but also increases productivity and encourages innovation. Therefore, it is very strategic to foster interest in entrepreneurship, especially among students and the younger generation. There are several factors that influence interest in entrepreneurship among students, one of these factors is business capital and motivation. The aim of this research is to find out whether there is an influence of business capital and motivation on interest in entrepreneurship among students of the Sharia Economics Study Program at Island Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin University, Jambi. The method used in this research is a quantitative method. The research sample consisted of 96 students using a sampling technique, namely Purposive Sampling. The results of this research show that both variables have a positive and significant effect on interest in entrepreneurship among students in the sharia economics study program. Simultaneously, the business capital and motivation variables have a significant influence on the entrepreneurial interest variable. The R Square value is 0.561 or 56.1%, which means that 56.1% of changes in the dependent variable can be explained by the independent variable, while the remaining 43.9% is influenced by other variables not included in this research. The Adjusted R Square value = 0.551 shows that after adjustment, this model still has good abilities in explaining the dependent variable. Apart from that, the R value = 0.749 shows a strong relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable. The Islamic economic view of entrepreneurship is one of the noble recommendations for humans in working.
