Abstract

Poverty is a condition that is often associated with economic inability to meet daily needs. Absolute poverty is measured based on the inability to meet minimum basic needs such as food, clothing, health, housing and education. The purpose of this thesis is to determine the effect of economic growth and unemployment on the poverty rate in South Sumatra Province in 2019-2023. The analysis method used is the Panel Data Regression Method. The results of the study showed that economic growth had a positive and significant effect on the poverty rate in South Sumatra Province in 2019-2023, so that the hypothesis (H1) proposed by the researcher was accepted with a significance value of 0.04 <0.05 with a t-statistic value of 2.1462813. Unemployment had a negative and insignificant effect on the poverty rate in South Sumatra Province in 2019-2023 in South Sumatra Province, so that the hypothesis (H2) proposed by the researcher was rejected with a significance value of 0.7056> 0.05 with a t-statistic value of -0.3826. Economic growth (X1) and unemployment (X2) together affect the poverty rate in South Sumatra Province in 2019-2023 in South Sumatra Province (Y) with a calculated F value of 2.914818 and a significant value of 0.04 <0.05, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.

Abstract

This research is entitled Analysis of Village Income Against Village Expenditure Allocation in Muara Kilis Village, Tengah Ilir District, Tebo Regency. This research aims (1). To explain village income and village expenditure in Muara Kilis village in 2020. (2). To explain the Village Expenditure Allocation based on the realization of Village Income in Muara Kilis Village in 2020. The results of this study are: (1) Muara Kilis Village Revenue realized in 2020 consists of 1) State Revenue and Expenditure Budget Allocation (Village Fund) of Rp. 980,390,000. 2) Share of Regional Taxes and Regional Levies for Regency/City, amounting to Rp. 18,245,614. 3) Village Fund Allocation of Rp. 622,447,000. 4) Financial Assistance from the Provincial APBD and Regency/City APBD of Rp. 60,000,000. With a total village income of Rp. 1,681,082,614. Meanwhile, Muara Kilis Village expenditure in 2020 is allocated to five sectors, namely, 1) Village Government Implementation of Rp. 621,492,614, 2) Village Development of Rp. 293.957.300, 3) Village Community Empowerment of Rp. 59,950,700, 4) Community Development of Rp. 39,200,000, and 5) Disaster Management and Emergency Expenditure of Rp. 666,482,000. With a total village income of Rp. 1,681,082,614. (2) In Muara Kilis Village, with a total income of Rp. 1,681,082,614 has not been able to realize income from 3 other sources of income, namely from Village Original Income, Grants from third parties, and other legitimate income. As can be seen in the data above, which shows that the income from the three sources is 0% or Rp. 0 rupees. Meanwhile, Muara Kilis Village Expenditures are by Government Regulation Number 47 of 2015, which must be used with the following provisions: At least 70% (70% or more) of the village's total spending budget will be used to fund the village administration. Implementation of village development, village community development, and strengthening of rural communities (4 regions). Up to 30% (?30%) of the village's total budget will be used for the four items. 1) bonds and allowances for village mayors and village officials, 2) village government obligations, 3) allowances and obligations, village advisory boards, and 4) incentives for Rukun's neighbors.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of financial ratios on profit growth in the manufacturing sub-sectors of food and beverages listed in the stock index Indonesian sharia (ISSI) in the period 2014-2020 partially and simultaneously. The population in this study is a manufacturing company in the food and beverage sub-sector obtained by purposive sampling technique. The data analysis method used is panel data regression analysis using software tools eviews 10. The results show that the variables Current Ratio (CR), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Total Asset Turnover (TAT), and Net Profit Margin (NPM) simultaneously affect profit growth. While the CR, DER, and NPM variables partially affect profit growth, the TAT variable does not affect the profit growth of food and beverage manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesian Sharia Stock Index (ISSI) for the 2014-2020 period.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR) and Third Party Funds (DPK) on Musyarakah Financing at Islamic Commercial Banks with Non-performing financing (NPF) as a moderating variable. A quantitative approach is used by utilizing documentary studies using secondary data from the annual financial statements of each Islamic Bank in Indonesia from 2018 to 2022. Sampling was done purposively by selecting 11 banks as samples. The data analysis method used is moderated regression analysis (MRA). The hypotheses in this study are: (1) FDR affects the distribution of Musyarakah financing in Islamic commercial banks, (2) DPK affects the distribution of Musyarakah financing in Islamic commercial banks, (3) NPF moderates the effect of FDR on the distribution of Musyarakah financing, and (4) NPF moderates DPK on the distribution of Musyarakah financing. The results showed that: (1) FDR has a negative and significant effect on Musyarakah Financing in Islamic commercial banks, (2) DPK has a positive and significant effect on profitability in Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia, (3) NPF does not moderate the effect of FDR on Musyarakah Financing, and (4) NPF moderates the effect of DPK on Musyarakah Financing in Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia.

Abstract

Besarnya potensi Usaha Mikro,Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) yang berdampak pada peningkatan ekonomi masyarakat, menjadikan suatu keharusan untuk lebih di berdayakan menjadi semakin strategis sehingga dapat mendukung peningkatan produktivitas, penyediaan lapangan kerja yang lebih luas, dan peningkatan pendapatan bagi masyarakat miskin. Usaha mikro yang merupakan bagian dari usaha Mikro, Kecil dan Menengah di Kota Jambi perlu ditingkatkan serta dikembangkan karena menyumbang terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi daerah serta meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat, tetapi permasalahan yang kemudian muncul antara lain disebabkan oleh masih rendahnya kualitas SDM pelaku industri, strategi pemasaran yang masih kurang dikuasai oleh pelaku usaha dan pendapatan didasarkan pada waktu atau lama usaha didirikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: pengaruh minat dan persepsi pengusaha muda terhadap pengembangan UMKM di Kota Jambi. Menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan metode analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Uji regresi berganda, Uji T, Uji F dan Uji Koefisien Determinasi (R Square). Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa secara parsial variabel minat dan persepsi pengusaha berpengaruh terhadap pengembangan Usaha Menengah dan Keatas di Kota Jambi. Secara simultan atau bersama-sama variabel minat dan persepsi pengusaha muda memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap pengembangan UMKM di Kota Jambi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh rasio profitabilitas terhadap pertumbuhan laba perusahaan yang tercatat dalam Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) selama periode 2019 hingga 2023. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis data panel dan model terbaik yang terpilih adalah Common Effect Model. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 6 perusahaan selama 5 tahun, sehingga total data yang diperoleh sebanyak 30 observasi. Rasio profitabilitas yang dijadikan variabel dalam penelitian meliputi Return on Equity (ROE), Return on Assets (ROA), dan Net Profit Margin (NPM). Hasil analisis menunjukkan ketiga rasio profitabilitas, yaitu ROA, ROE, dan NPM, memiliki pengaruh  signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan laba. Secara simultan, variabel tersebut terbukti memengaruhi pertumbuhan laba perusahaan yang tergabung dalam indeks JII pada periode penelitian. Nilai koefisien determinasi mengindikasikan bahwa ROA, ROE, dan NPM secara keseluruhan berkontribusi sebesar 81,06 persen terhadap pertumbuhan laba, sedangkan sisanya sebesar 18,94 persen dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak dibahas dalam penelitian. Tingginya ROA mencerminkan kemampuan perusahaan dalam memanfaatkan aset untuk menghasilkan keuntungan. Tingginya ROE menunjukkan kinerja perusahaan yang baik dalam memberikan imbal hasil kepada para pemegang saham. Sedangkan NPM yang tinggi menandakan efisiensi perusahaan dalam mengelola penjualan untuk menghasilkan keuntungan, yang pada akhirnya berdampak positif terhadap pertumbuhan laba.   This study aims to analyze the effect of profitability ratios on profit growth of companies listed in the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) during the period 2019 to 2023. The approach used is a quantitative method with panel data analysis techniques and the best model selected is the Common Effect Model. The research sample consisted of 6 companies over 5 years, so that the total data obtained was 30 observations. The profitability ratios used as variables in the study include Return on Equity (ROE), Return on Assets (ROA), and Net Profit Margin (NPM). The results of the analysis show that the three profitability ratios, namely ROA, ROE, and NPM, have a significant effect on profit growth. Simultaneously, these variables are proven to influence the profit growth of companies included in the JII index during the study period. The coefficient of determination value indicates that ROA, ROE, and NPM as a whole contribute 81.06 percent to profit growth, while the remaining 18.94 percent is influenced by other factors not discussed in the study. High ROA reflects the company's ability to utilize assets to generate profits. High ROE indicates good company performance in providing returns to shareholders. While high NPM indicates the company's efficiency in managing sales to generate profits, which ultimately has a positive impact on profit growth.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of digital services and the level of convenience on customer transaction interest at the Buluran Kenali UPC pawnshop. This quantitative study utilized a total sampling method with 77 respondents from customers at the Buluran Kenali UPC pawnshop. This research provides a practical contribution to Pegadaian management in improving digital services with the G-5Star Generation strategy, enabling the pawnshop to transform the company into a financial company. With the launch of the Pegadaian Digital Service (PDS) application, the company aims to expand its target market to the millennial generation. In the inferential statistical analysis stage, data analysis was assisted by statistical programs using SEM, specifically the Smart-PLS analysis computer program. The data collection method used a questionnaire. The results of this study are: 1) there is a significant and positive effect of digital services on customer transaction interest at the Buluran Kenali UPC pawnshop. 2) there is no significant effect of the level of convenience on customer transaction interest at the Buluran Kenali UPC pawnshop.

Abstract

Perkembangan pasar modal syariah di Indonesia terus mengalami peningkatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh cash holding dan growth opportunity terhadap profitabilitas perusahaan yang terdaftar di JII periode 2020–2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan analisis data panel. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 10 perusahaan selama 5 tahun pengamatan, sehingga diperoleh 50 data observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial, cash holding dan growth opportunity berpengaruh signifikan terhadap profitabilitas perusahaan. Secara simultan, kedua variabel tersebut juga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap profitabilitas perusahaan di JII periode 2020–2024. Nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 93,34 persen menunjukkan bahwa cash holding dan growth opportunity mampu menjelaskan profitabilitas sebesar 93,34 persen, sedangkan sisanya 6,66 persen dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain di luar penelitian ini. Dari hasil penelitian ini, diharapkan perusahaan dapat lebih memperhatikan pengelolaan kas dan peluang pertumbuhan agar kinerja keuangannya dapat meningkat, serta menjadi bahan pertimbangan bagi investor dalam mengambil keputusan investasi.   The development of the Islamic capital market in Indonesia continues togrow. This study aims to identify and analyze the influence of cash holdings and growth opportunities on the profitability of companies listed on the JII for the 2020–2024 period. This study used quantitative methods with panel data analysis. The research sample consisted of 10 companies over afive-year period, resulting in 50 observations. The results indicate that partially, cash holdings and growth opportunities significantly influence company profitability. Simultaneously, both variables also significantly influence company profitability in the JII for the 2020–2024 period. The coefficient of determination of 93.34 percent indicates that cash holdings and growth opportunities explain 93.34 percent of profitability, while the remaining 6.66 percent is influenced by factors outside the study. Based on these results, it is hoped that companies will pay more attention to cash management and growth opportunities to improve their financial performance and serve as considerations for investors in making investment decisions.

Abstract

Cash waqf is an Islamic philanthropic instrument that has great potential in supporting the economic development of the community, but its realization level is still far from expectations. This phenomenon is thought to be influenced by public perception factors towards cash waqf and their level of literacy regarding the concept, law, and mechanisms of cash waqf. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. This study aims to analyze the influence of perception and literacy on interest in cash waqf among the people of Telanaipura District, Jambi City. The study population was the Muslim community in Telanaipura District, while the sample was determined using the Slovin formula with a certain margin of error. The research instrument was a questionnaire that measured the variables of perception, literacy, and interest in cash waqf. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to determine the effect of each independent variable on the dependent variable. The results showed that perception had a positive and significant effect on interest in cash waqf, which means that the more positive the public's perception regarding the benefits and blessings of cash waqf, the higher their interest in waqf. Similarly, literacy has a positive and significant impact on interest in cash waqf, indicating that the greater the community's understanding of the concept, regulations, and procedures of cash waqf, the greater their intention to participate. Simultaneously, perception and literacy have been shown to significantly influence interest in cash waqf in the Telanaipura District community. This study suggests the need for increased outreach and education regarding cash waqf by relevant institutions to strengthen positive perceptions and improve community literacy, so that the potential of cash waqf can be more optimally realized.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of middlemen on the price of Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) of oil palm received by farmers in Lambur I Village, Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency, from a sharia economic perspective. This study also examines the FFB marketing patterns carried out by farmers and the factors that influence farmers in choosing where to sell their harvest. The method used is a qualitative approach with a case study research type. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation to understand FFB marketing practices and the socio-economic relationships between farmers and middlemen. The results show that FFB marketing in Lambur I Village is carried out through three main channels: middlemen, the Marketing Chain of Trust (RAM), and palm oil processing factories. Most farmers choose to sell FFB to middlemen because the transaction process is easier, payments are fast, and transportation costs are not required. In addition, urgent financial needs, limited transportation facilities, and long-standing socio-economic relationships also influence farmers' dependence on middlemen. In practice, middlemen play a dominant role in determining prices, deducting approximately Rp 250–Rp 300 per kilogram from the factory price. From a sharia economic perspective, marketing practices through middlemen are essentially permissible as long as they are carried out with mutual consent and do not contain elements of usury, gharar, or injustice. However, the dominance of middlemen in determining prices indicates a bargaining imbalance that could potentially harm farmers, thus not fully reflecting the principle of justice in sharia economics
