Abstract

ABSTRAK Kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis di Indonesia pada saat ini masih  rendah yang berakibat pada rendahnya kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia, memilih model pembelajaran yang tepat dapat mengoptimalkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa melalui pembelajaran dengan model penemuan terbimbing, serta membandingkannya dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan desain pretes postes kelompok kontrol. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Bandung  kelas VII semester 2 tahun ajaran 2012/2013 dengan pemanipulasian perlakuan dimana kelas VII-D sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII-B  sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen  yang digunakan adalah soal uraian yang terdiri dari 6 butir soal kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa melalui pembelajaran dengan model penemuan terbimbing lebih baik daripada peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa melalui pembelajaran konvensional. Kata Kunci: model penemuan terbimbing, kemampuan berpikir kritis  ABSTRACT The ability of critical thinking mathematically in Indonesia at this time is low resulting in low quality of education in Indonesia, choose appropriate learning models can optimize the mathematical ability of students to think critically. This study aims to determine the increase in critical thinking skills of students through guided discovery learning model, and compared with students who received conventional learning. The method used in this study is the experimental method with pretest posttest control group design. The population in this study were all students of SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Bandung VII class 2nd semester academic year 2012/2013 with the manipulation of treatment where the class VII-D as the experimental class and the class VII-B as the control class. The instrument used is a matter of description consisting of 6 items critical thinking skills of students. The results showed that increasing students' critical thinking skills through guided discovery learning model is better than the increase in critical thinking skills of students through conventional learning. Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efek dari penggunaan geogebra terhadap minat belajar siswa pada materi transformasi di seluruh SMPN Kabupaten Bandung Barat dengan sampel 34 siswa dari SMP Negeri 1 Sindangkerta. Penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif presentase. Instrumen pada penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen non-test berisi angket berupa pernyataan siswa terhadap minat belajar pada pembelajaran materi transformasi berbantuan aplikasi geogebra dengan 20 pernyataan sebagai acuan untuk mengetahui efek dari penggunaan geogebra ini. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan dampak positif terhadap minat belajar siswa bagi penggunaan geogebra pada materi transformasi. Diketahui dari 19% siswa menyatakan sangat setuju, 67% siswa setuju, 10,4 siswa tidak setuju dan 3,6% siswa menyatakan sangat tidak setuju.

Abstract

Learning mathematics using the concept of mathematical understanding is needed to solve a mathematical problem. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) which aims to analyze the ability to understand students’ mathematical concepts in SPtLDV material with the help of geogebra media. The subjects of this study were 20 students of class X Senior High School 1 Cisarua with low, medium, and high categories. The instruments used are the initial tests (before the action); the first and second cycle test (after giving the action); interview; observation sheets for teachers and students regarding the research conducted. The resultas obtained in the pre-cycle are 30%, in the first cycle there are 45%, and in the second cycle there are 90% who have the ability to understand students’ understanding of the SPtLDV material. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the students’ mathematical understanding ability on SPtLDV material assisted by geogebra media has increased.

Abstract

In order to reduce and break the chain of spread of the covid-19 virus, the government through the minister of education and culture makes a policy if the teaching and learning activity process is carried out daring. In the daring teaching and learning process, a teacher is required to be able to make interesting and interactive teaching materials that can be presented daring. A lot of research has proven the advantages of animation-based teaching materials, but currently there are still few trigonometry-based teaching materials. The purpose of this research is to develop animation-based trigonometric teaching materials during the Covid-19 epidemic. This research consists of sessions on define, design, and develop. The data processing technique is in the form of qualitative data including the results of filling out the validation form, the teacher practicality evaluation form, the student practicality evaluation form and the learning application observation form. The observation form is divided into 5 options, each evaluation score 1, score 2, score 3, score 4 score . 5. The results of this research are that this teaching material is suitable for use with very feasible criteria with an evaluation score of 85%, and media experts give a score of 78% which is categorized as feasible. In the small group trial, an average of 80 was obtained with the very feasible category. As well as large group trials obtained an average of 72 with the feasible category. Thus this animation-based trigonometric teaching material can be used as an alternative to teaching materials that attract students' interest.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the errors of MTs students on the concept of a one-variable linear equation (PLSV), using a qualitative descriptive research method. The data collection in this study was carried out by providing 7 questions about the concept of a one-variable linear equation (PLSV) and interviews with the data processing technique used, namely analyzing student errors, based on indicators of error in understanding the definition of a one-variable linear equation. The subject that the researcher used was 19 students of class VII-B in one of the private MTs in Cipeundeuy District with heterogeneous abilities. From the results of the study stated that; (1) the type of error students with low ability make is wrong when determining which incluades a one-variable linear equation, not a one-variable linear equation and cannot mention the variables and constants of an equation; (2) the type of error made to the medium ability student cannot mention the constant of an equation; and (3) the type of error of students with high ability is wrong in mentioning constants. So it can be concluded that the cause of student errors is that there are still many who do not understand the basic concept of a one-variable linear equation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the learning motivation of class VIII SMP students through Geogebra learning media. The method of this research is quasi research. The research population was 120 class VIII students of SMP Negeri 3 Naringgul. The sample or subject of this study were 28 students. Data collection techniques are non-test or questionnaire. The data collection tool is a questionnaire sheet. The data analysis technique uses descriptive techniques. In general, the results of the research on positive agreement with a high percentage where the Very Agree (SS) response produces an average of 27.2% with the criteria of almost half. Whereas in the Agree (S) and Disagree (TS) responses each with an average of 68.2% with criteria mostly and 6.6% on the criteria for a small part, meaning that it can be concluded that geogebra learning media succeeded in increasing student learning motivation seen from the percentage of Strongly Agree (SS) and Agree (S) responses that are more dominant than the percentage of the Disagree (TS) and Strongly Disagree (STS) responses.

Abstract

 This research is a classroom action research (CAR) which aims to examine the improvement of students’ mathematical understanding concept in the VIII grade SPLDV material at Junior High School 2 Saguling. This research was conducted on class VIII-A students in the 2020-2021 school years. The subjects of this study consisted of 17 students who belonge to group A in class VIII-A. the instruments used were test, interviews, and observation sheets given to teachers and students during classroom action research. The results showed that the aspect of students’ mathematical understanding abilities had increased because the actions given used a scientific approach and the questions on each test were in accordance with the indicators of the mathematical understanding ability. Based on the wprk indicators and processed resluts, it can be concluded that the mathematical understanding ability of grade VIII-A students of junior high school 2 Saguling can be through a scientific approach.

Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze the difficulties experienced by high school students when solving problems regarding the line material. The method used is descriptive qualitative research. This research was conducted at one of the public high schools in Karawang for the 2020-2021 academic year with the subjects of class XII totaling 26 students. The technique for collecting research data is by giving a test in the form of description questions, amounting to 6 questions with predetermined indicators. Data analysis was carried out, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the analysis show that (1) students with heterogeneous mathematical abilities still have difficulty understanding and solving problems regarding the sequence material; (2) the students' difficulties with the sequence material, namely the lack of understanding of the questions and formulas to be used; (3) the students' abilities in understanding a concept in the Line material still need to be explored or trained more deeply.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the errors of XI grade students of the State Vocational High School in the city of Cimahi in solving transformation geometry problems. This research was conducted at SMK Negeri 1 Cimahi and the samples were taken as much as 1 class. The number of subjects in this study were 32 students. The research approach used is qualitative with descriptive methods. The data collection technique used was a test instrument. The test instrument used in this research is the National Examination (UN) questions on the transformation geometry material as many as 8 questions that have been validated. The results showed that the XI grade students of State Vocational High School in Cimahi City had errors in solving  transformation geometry problems. Problem number 2 is the most difficult problem with the question indicator calculating the image if it is rotated 270 ° with the center p (a, b), the average percentage is 3%, which means that only 1 out of 32 students answered correctly and many students had errors.

Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze the mistakes of student of class VIII at Mahardhika Junior High School in working on social arithmetic materials. This research is based on the importance of social arithmetic materials, which can be useful for students in their lives. The research method used is qualitative descriptive research method. The population of this research was 20 students of class VIII D. Then, the results of this research were obtained from students answers after students were given C1-C6 questions as many as 6 questions. Technical analysis used is to assess the student's answer based on 6 C1-C6 questions that have been given, followed by observing the many mistakes students have in solving the quetion. From the results of the analysis, there are some students who do not understand the formula to do the problem, some students also still do not understand in changing the problem into the math sentence that should be, and some other students still have difficulty in procedural work such as the use of calculating operations in doing problems. So looking at these results, it can be concluded that the ability of students in doing problems, especially social arithmetic materials, is still said to be relatively low.
