Abstract

The ability to solve mathematical problems in fraction material in the form of story problems is an issue faced by elementary school students, especially in the fourth-grade students. Analysis, reasoning, and understanding in solving students' story problems are still weak, besides that students assume that learning mathematics is difficult and unpleasant before trying it. This is the research’s background with the aim of knowing the effect of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model on the ability to solve mathematical problems in telling fraction material. This research used the Literature Study. Data collection techniques obtained from the study of literature by collecting data and references from a number of books, journals and theses that fit the purpose of the study. The research results obtained in this study by using literature studies are 1) Student learning is more meaningful by linking the material to the real world, 2) Pressing students to be able to exchange knowledge and learn to work together, 3) Give students the ability to solve mathematical problems in the matter of fraction material stories. This research was conducted by comparing arguments, ideas, opinions and research results from 54 references taken by researchers in this study. This shows that there is The Effect of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) Model in Math Problem Solving Ability in Story Fractional Material Story in Grade IV Elementary Students.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of development of LKPD, the LKPD used is a school package book and is not in accordance with the independent curriculum and it must be adjusted to the curriculum and the needs of students, so that it has an impact on students such as being less active in ongoing learning activities, the learning process seems to watch and learning success becomes low. Efforts to overcome these problems require teaching materials in the form of LKPD based on the needs of students so that so that education students can be more active, independent and can achieve the learning goals that have been applied. This research aims to produce teaching material products in the form of LKPD based on student needs. this type of research is Research and Development development. This development model is the ADDIE development model. In the development of ADDIE there are five stages of procedures, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. Based on the validity test results of three expert validators have a content validation score of 77.7%, graphic aspect 76.6%, and language aspect 93%. Based on these three aspects of the assessment, the average percentage is 81% with a very valid category. The results of the practicality test from the assessment of grade IV teacher responses were obtained 87.5% and the assessment of students was obtained 85.21%. So that a percentage of 85% is obtained with a very practical category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the LKPD based on the needs of Class IV Elementary IPAS Subject Students developed can be declared valid, practical and effective.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is or is not the effectiveness of using picture series in writing skills of recount text at tenth grade of SMA N 18 Tebo. The problems of this research is that students cannot distinguish structures in writing recount texts, students cannot communicate their thoughts in writing, students cannot arrange a series of stories sequentially in writing recount texts. The purpose of this research was to determine the effectiveness of using picture series in teaching writing, and whether students taught through picture series got better grades than students taught through conventional methods. This research used quasi-experimental design. The finding show that picture series can enable students to explore ideas so that students are able to be creative and use imagination to write well after seeing picture series. The results of the analysis of the hypothesis test data on the paired sample test with a significant level of 0.05, show that the sig (2-tailed) result is smaller than the equation test data 0.000<0.05. it is assumed that the difference in mean scores between the experimental and control groups is significant, then Ho is concluded that there was a significant effect of picture series learning media on the results of students’ writing skills of recount text.

Abstract

Bahasa inggris adalah salah satu bahasa yang sangat penting untuk di pelajari. Dalam kurikulum sekolah di Indonesia, kemampuan siswa dalam berbahasa inggris merupakan salah satu keterampilan yang harus dikembangkan, karena dapat menjadi media pengantar dalam mencari ilmu secara global. Membaca merupakan salah satu dari empat keterampilan dasar dalam bahasa inggris yg harus dikuasai siswa dan memiliki peran penting di sekolah. Karena banyak ilmu yg di dapat dari membaca dan semakin banyak yg kamu membaca semakin banyak yg bisa kamu pelajari. Tidak hanya membaca tetapi membaca pemahaman. Bagi siswa belajar tentang pemahaman membaca adalah sebuah tantangan. Seperti yg terjadi di MTs Nurul Huda Koto-baru, ditemukan kondisi siswa kelas VIII MTs Nurul Huda dalam pembelajaran pemahaman membaca adalah siswa masih kekurangan kosa kata dalam bahasa inggris, sehingga mempersulit mereka untuk memahami makna dari teks. Siswa menjadi sulit untuk menemukan informasi dalam teks, dan kurang tetarik untuk belajar bahasa inggris. Penulis memutuskan memilih pemetaan pikiran untuk membantu siswa dalam pemahaman membaca. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan mind mapping terhadap pemahaman membaca siswa kelas VIII MTs Nurul Huda Koto baru. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif, dengan menggunakan metode quasi-experimental design. Rata-rata nilai post-test kelas eksperimen dan kelas control siswa kelas VIII MTs Nurul Huda Koto baru adalah 81,41 dan 71,71, berbeda 9,7 poin. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa nilai rata-rata post-test kedua kelas, kelas eksperimen lebih tinngi dari pada kelas control. Hasil pengujian hipotesis didapatkan t-test sebesar 2,946, dan t-table sebesar 2,045, pada taraf signifikansi = 0,05. Itu menunjukan bahwa t-test > t-table. Artinya Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, yg artinya “ ada pengaruh signifikansi mind mapping terhadap pemahamn membaca siswa kelas VIII MTs Nurul Huda Koto-baru”.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan apakah Teknik role play memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan berbicara atau tidak diantara siswa yang menggunakan dan tidak menggunakan Teknik role play. Data yang dikumpulkan pada tahun 2023 di semester kedua kelas X TKJ SMKN 1 Batang Cenaku dengan menggunakan metode quasi-experimen dengan menggunakan dua kelas sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Hasil dari posttest di kelas eksperimen dengan rata rata 78.462 dan dikelas kontrol 65.538. Hasil ini dihitung menggunakan aplikasi SPSS 20 dengan menggunakan tes hipotesis, uji independent sampel t-test, diperoleh r-Hitung 5.86 4> 1.675 r-Tabel dan sig (2-tailed) 0.000 (0.000 <0.05. jadi kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah Teknik role play memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan berbicara siswa dikelas X TKJ A SMKN 1 Batang Cenaku. Hasil hipotesis Ho di tolak dan Ha diterima.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh lemahnya pemahaman siswa kelas I pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, di sebabkan dalam proses pembelajaran tidak menggunakan media dan terlalu fokus menggunakan buku guru dan siswa. Hal ini membuat siswa susah dalam memahami materi. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut adalah dengan menggunakan penunjang pembelajaran khususnya menggunakan media flashcard dalam kemampuan membaca permulaan pada mata pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian pengembangan yaitu menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri dari 5 tahap yaitu, analisis (analize), perancangan (design), pengembangan (development), implementasi (implementation), evaluasi (evaluation). Kelima tahap itu dilakukan melalui analisis kurikulum, analisis kebutuhan siswa dan analisis karakteristik siswa. Kemudian uji validasi oleh 3 orang validator (tim ahli), uji pratikalitas oleh guru wali kelas dan 13 siswa. Setelah dikategorikan valid dan praktis selanjutnya dilakukan uji efektifitas. Penilaian validasi Media Flash Card pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia pada uji validitas oleh tiga orang ahli mempunyai skor rata-rata 89,09% Termasuk dalam kategori sangat valid, uji praktikalitas dengan skor rata-rata 94,9% dikategorikan sangat praktis, sedangkan hasil efektifitas Media FlashCard pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia dengan skor rata-rata 86,66% dikategorikan sangat efektif

Abstract

The aimed of this study was to determine the effect of using Listen Read Discuss (LRD) strategy to improve students reading comprehension on narrative text at tenth grade SMA Negeri 5 Bungo. There were some problems in this research. First, the students lack of vocabulary. Second, the students lack motivated to read. Third, the students difficult to get main idea in reading comprehension.The population of this research were 88 students. The sampling technique in this research used purposive sampling. The sample of this research X IPA 1 as the experimental class consists of 29 students, and X IPA 2 as the control class consists of 29 students. This research used a quasi-experimental design. The data collection technique was taken by giving pre-test and post-test in the form of a multiple choice of 20 questions. Data analysis techniques to improve students reading comprehension used descriptive statistics, normality test and homogeneity test, hypothesis test with independent sample t-test, and N-Gain scores.The results of the independent sample t-test showed that the significance level was 0.000 < 0.05. The mean score of N-Gain for experimental class is 0.52 included in the medium category and the mean score of N-Gain for the control class is 0.19 included in the low category. It means that Ha was accepted while Ho was rejected. It be concluded the Listen Read Discuss (LRD) strategy was effective to improve students reading comprehension on narrative text at tenth grade SMA Negeri 5 Bungo.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain empirical evidence about the effectiveness of the use of the Process Approach on the ability to write argumentative texts of students in the eleventh grade of MAS Al Barokah. The population of this study was the eleventh grade students of MAS Al Barokah with a total sample of 25 students. The method used in this study is a quantitative method using a pre-experimental design, one grub pretest-posttest. The research instrument used in this research is a set of written tests which are given at the beginning of the meeting and at the end of the meeting after the Process Approach is applied. The data from this study were analyzed using t-test. The results obtained from the research show that there are differences in student scores in writing argumentative texts using the Process Approach before and after being given treatment. The results shown from the post-test p-value is 0.000 with a significance level of 5% (0.05). In other words, it can be concluded if the p-value (0.000) < sig a=0.05 (5%). This proves that using the Process Approach is quite effective on the ability to write argumentative texts for eleventh graders at MAS Al Barokah for the 2021/2022 academic year

Abstract

This research is being undertaken by educators who lack the use of learning media and tend to be monotonous in the learning process so that students are difficult to understand the learning material and are prone to boredom in following learning process. The aim of this research is to know the development of Augmented Reality-based learning media with the help of the application of Assemblr Edu on learning Pancasila Education Class V SDN 10 Sites that are valid, practical, and effective. The ADDIE model has five stages: Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. The Analyze stage, at this stage is performed needs analysis, characteristics analysis of students, and material analysis. As for the results of the development of Augmented Reality based learning media using the Edu Asemblr application obtained from a four-person validator, the augmented reality-based learning media achieved a percentage with an average of 87.5% with a very valid category. The practicality results assessed from the educator's response lift received a percent of 90.6% with a highly practical category and the student's responsive lift achieves a percentual with a mean of 89.22% with the category very practical. The effectiveness results of 25 pupils who followed learning using developed media were stated to be 80.8% accurate so that augmented-reality learning media based using the Assembr edu application was categorized as very effective.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' reading skills because there are obstacles in reading at the beginning of grade 2 students. Therefore the teacher applies strategies that can make students more easily and actively participate in learning to read so that students can learn easily and have fun. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research approach with a phenomenological research type. This research was conducted at SDN 238/VI Tanjung Putus II, Tanjung Putus Village, West Tabir District, Merangin Regency, Jambi Province. The data in this study uses primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques used in the form of observation techniques Interview Methods (interviews) and documentation. The data validation technique in this study went through three stages, including the preliminary stage, the filtering stage and the incomplete data completion stage. The data analysis technique used was analysis during data collection and analysis after the data was collected. The results of this study showed that the beginning reading ability of grade 2 students at SD Negeri 238/VI Tanjung Putus II was still low and there were several students who needed guidance and assistance from the teacher in reading. . 2) The strategy used in the process of implementing improving students' reading skills is the bottom-up strategy. Implementation of the strategy using the basal readers method is a series of reading activities carried out after students know and understand various forms of letters and various series of variations of combining letters into various words. Then proceed with using the distar method, the teacher also applies a peer tutor approach by asking students who are already fluent in reading to help their friends who can't yet. 3) The impact of using the early reading learning strategy in grade 2 is an increase in reading ability which is marked by students being able to read and write independently, only constrained in reading consonants. After the process of reading activities, students also dare to retell what they have read.
