Abstract

This research is based on the problem that the initial reading ability of grade 1 students is still low, this can be seen from the results of the initial reading test which shows that only a few students achieved the minimum score for learning completeness. The aim of this research is to produce flash card learning media that valid, practical and effective. The type of research used is development research or Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE development model which consists of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation (implementation), and the evaluation stage (evaluation). The results of the validity of the flash card media were validated by 2 validators, namely media expert validation which obtained a result of 83% which was categorized as very valid, and module expert validation which obtained a result of 62% which was categorized as valid. The results of the practicality of flash card media through the teacher response questionnaire by class I teachers were 82.5% categorized as very practical, while through the student response questionnaire the average results were 87% categorized as very practical. The effectiveness results were obtained from The learning test results of students at the main school obtained an average of 86% and were categorized as very effective.

Abstract

One of the successful learning English writings is by knowing students' errors in writing an English essay. Since English writing essay becomes a compulsory subject that must be taken by students at college, therefore the English essay has a big contribution. Although writing an English essay does not pay attention much to the proportional explaining and giving instruction in learning, but it still has meaningful contributions for writing skill. It is not for writing essay but also for other writing skills such as writing paragraph, writing scientific paper, and etc. Type of this research was qualitative content analysis through documents of English essays written by students of third semester of Universitas Dharmas Indonesia. Respondents of this research were 14 students. The analysis of all documents reveals that there are 220 total numbers of students’ errors that classified into 12 types of errors made by the students. Spelling is classified as the biggest error committed by 46 times or 20.90%. Then, verb-agreement is a kind of errors that committed by 38 times or 17.27%. Next is error of sentence fragment that committed by 24 times or 10.90%. Relating to research finding, It is recommended that English writing lecturers should much pay attention to divide, discuss, and explain all these errors in order to minimize and make writing essays easy written and conducted by English students.

Abstract

The background of this study is the low student motivation and learning outcomes due to the lack of variation in media used during the learning process. This study aims to determine the effect of using the interactive learning media Wordwall on students' learning outcomes in the subject of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) for Grade IV at SDN 02 Koto Salak. Wordwall, as an interactive digital media, is considered capable of creating an engaging and enjoyable learning atmosphere for students.The method used in this study is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design. The research sample consisted of two classes: the experimental class, which used Wordwall, and the control class, which used conventional methods. Data were obtained through pre-tests and post-tests to measure improvements in learning outcomes. Data analysis using the t-test showed a significant difference between the experimental and control classes. The results of the study proved that the use of Wordwall had a positive effect on students' learning outcomes. Keywords: Wordwall Usage, Learning Outcomes, Cognitive, IPAS, Elementary School.

Abstract

Pengembangan media papan cerdas perkalian untuk materi perkalian pada mata pelajaran matematika kelas II SDN 16 Koto Baru dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya motivasi dan semangat belajar peserta didik pada pembelajaran matematika perkalian. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran papan cerdas perkalian pada materi perkalian muatan Matematika kelas II SDN 16 Koto Baru, yang valid, fraktis, dan efektif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dengan metode pengembangan Research and Development (R & D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri lima tahap, yaitu Analiysis, Design, Development, Implementatio dan Evaluation. Instrumen pada penelitian ini menggunakan angket dan wawancara. Angket ditujukan kepada validator kegrafikan, Bahasa, materi, modul ajar, dan soal, serta angket praktikalitas respon pendidik, keterlaksanaan modul ajar dan respon peserta didik dan subjek uji coba sejumlah 27 peserta didik kelas II SDN 16 Koto Baru.Hasil validasi oleh ahli media terhadap media papan cerdas perkalian memperoleh hasil presentase 88% dikategorikan sangat valid. Uji praktikalitas oleh pendidik memperoleh hasil presentase 88% dan uji praktikalitas respon peserta didik oleh 5 orang dengan presentase 86,28% dikategorikan sangat praktis dari segi penggunaan. Uji efektivitas oleh 27 peserta didik yang mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan media yang dikembangkan menghasilkan nilai rata-rata 85,18% dikategorikan sangat efektf”. Kata Kunci: Pengembangan, Media Pembelajaran, Papan Cerdas Perkalian, Matematika, SD.

Abstract

The background of this research is the discovery of problems in learning English,where students were less engaged in completing the worksheets provided by theteacher due to their monotonous and unattractive appearance. This study aims todevelop Electronic Student Worksheets (E-LKPD) assisted by the Liveworksheetsapplication for fourth-grade English subjects at SDN 01 Sitiung that are valid,practical, and effective to improve learning outcomes. This research employed theResearch and Development (R&D) method using the 4D development model,consisting of the stages of define, design, development, and disseminate. Thevalidation results indicated that the E-LKPD achieved a very good level offeasibility with content validation at 82.5%, language 96%, graphics 100%,teaching module 80%, and questions 82.8%. The practicality test showed anaverage score of 96.3% from teachers and 94% from students, indicating that theE-LKPD is highly practical to use. The findings revealed that the Liveworksheets-assisted E-LKPD can facilitate teachers, enhance students learning motivation,and help students understand English materials interactively.
