Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1). menganalisis puisi yang berjudul “Surat Cinta” karya WS Rendra secara semiotik, (2) mendeskripsikan hasil penelitian dari puisi yang berjudul “Surat Cinta” karya WS Rendra, dan (3) mendeskripsikan makna-makna dalam puisi tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif kualitatif yang menceritakan dan menggambarkan isi dari puisi yang dianalisis. Puisi “Surat Cinta” karya WS Rendra dianalisis secara semiotik guna mencari makna dan tanda-tanda kebahasaanya sehingga makna yang tersembunyi dapat terungkapkan dengan jelas. Hasil penelitian analisis semiotik pada puisi “Surat Cinta”, dapat dilihat secara kontekstual bahwa tokoh aku sangat mengharapkan dan mencintai seorang wanita, bahkan ketika banyak rintangan yang menghadang ia tetap teguh pendiriannya untuk mencintai perempuan itu.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of the Canva-assisted discovery learning model. This type of research uses experiments. The researcher found several problems, including the lack of students' interest in writing short story texts, students' difficulties in developing ideas and ideas. This study aims to find out more about improving learning to write short story texts for class IX students using the Canva-assisted discovery learning model. This research method uses a quantitative descriptive method. Subjects in this study used data in the form of tests. The results of the preliminary test (pretest) and the final test (posttest) were used as data acquisition techniques. The results showed that the students' ability to write short story texts on average before using the Canva-assisted discovery learning model. initial (pretest) of 60.03 and after using the discovery learning model assisted by Canva obtained an average value of the final test (posttest) of 84.80. The results of the ability to write short story texts increased by 28%. In conclusion, the use of the Canva-assisted discovery learning model for learning to write short story texts can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the application of the Hattie's Visible Learning Evaluation Model in strategy learning and the publication of scientific work sat IKIP Siliwangi. Using quantitative and qualitative data analysis methods, this research analyze student responses to sixty aspects of assessment that cover various learning elements. The results of the research identified the aspects with the highest and lowest scores from each study program, namely Guidance and Counselling (BK) and Indonesian Language and Literature Education (PBSI). These results provide in-depth insight regarding significant factors in developing effective learning strategies and supporting the publication of student scientific work such as humor, teaching strategies teacher, credibility outdoor/adventure programmes, lecturer effect, lecturer subject matter knowledge, questioning, religious campus, feedback personality, mentoring computer-assisted instruction, lecturer-students relationships, drama/art programs, study skills, extra-curricular programs, dan classroom discussion. Meanwhile, less effective factors are of concern, such as parental involvement, students control over learning, boredom, gender, use of calculators, changing school calendar, lack of sleep, moving between schools, mathematics, drugs, pre-term birth weight, ability grouping, not labeling students, ability grouping for gifted students. The implications of this research finding can be the basis for improving more optimal learning strategies in higher education environments, especially IKIP Siliwangi.

Abstract

Pelatihan Menulis Kreatif Sastra untuk Siswa dan Guru Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Sekabupaten Karawang bertujuan untuk memberikan wadah bagi peserta untuk mengekspresikan kreativitas mereka melalui tulisan sastra, khususnya dalam genre puisi. Salah satu kegiatan dalam pelatihan ini adalah "Penulisan Kreatif Puisi Bertema Ramadan". Peserta diajak untuk mengeksplorasi makna dan pengalaman pribadi mereka selama bulan suci Ramadan, serta memperkaya karya-karya mereka dengan nilai-nilai spiritual dan budaya Islam. Melalui sesi diskusi, pembelajaran tentang struktur puisi, serta pembacaan dan umpan balik antar peserta, pelatihan ini menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung untuk pengembangan keterampilan menulis kreatif. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan tanggapan positif dari peserta terhadap pelatihan, dengan mayoritas peserta merasa puas dengan pengalaman dan materi yang diberikan. Pelatihan ini berhasil memberikan manfaat dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis kreatif peserta, serta memperkaya pemahaman mereka tentang sastra dan budaya Islam

Abstract

TRAINING AND MOTIVATION OF SMAN 1 PANGALENGAN STUDENTS IN IMPROVING ACADEMIC CAREERS: ADVANCED HIGHER EDUCATION STUDIES. Training and academic motivation are crucial efforts to encourage high school students, particularly in remote areas such as Pangalengan, to pursue higher education. This study aims to raise awareness and motivation among students of SMAN 1 Pangalengan regarding the importance of continuing their studies to the university level. Through a participatory method with a qualitative descriptive approach, the program involved training and the dissemination of information about academic career pathways, including details on university entrance exams and scholarship opportunities. The results of the training indicated a significant improvement in the students' understanding and motivation. Before the training, 65% of students had limited knowledge about university admission pathways, but after the training, 85% of students reported an increased understanding. Additionally, the students' motivation to pursue higher education rose from 45% before the training to 78.6% afterward. These findings also demonstrate that the training successfully enhanced students' confidence in planning their academic careers. This program is expected to serve as an initial step in increasing student participation in higher education and assisting them in making appropriate academic career choices.

Abstract

The research is motivated by the problem of creative writing of student literary works that is not optimal. Therfore, the research aims to determine the extent to which the STEAM approach can influence online learning of creative writing of student literary works. The research method used a qualitative descriptive. The subjects of this research were students of class 2017-B1. The process of collecting data through the task of writing an anthology of poetry and the results of a short story test. The results of this research point to a pre-implementation STEM approach with an average short story writing quality of 59.47% and a poetry writing score of 57.98% which should have a minimum target score of 75%. After the post-implementation STEM approach was carried out, the final score for writing short stories was 83.40% or an increase of 3.34%, while writing short stories obtained a score of 82.34% or an increase of 3.29% from the previous target score. It can be said that the STEAM approach in online learning of creative writing of literary works is different from previous learning. AbstrakPenelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan menulis kreatif karya sastra mahasiswa yang belum optimal. Maka penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pendekatan STEAM dapat mempengaruhi pembelajaran daring menulis kreatif karya sastra mahasiswa. Metode penelitian menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa angkatan 2018-B1. Proses pengumpulan data melalui tugas menulis antologi puisi dan hasil tes cerpen. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini dengan cara mendeskripsikan hasil menulis antologi puisi dan hasil tes cerpen. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan pendekatan STEM pra implemntasi dengan rata-rata kualitas menulis cerpen 59,47% dan nilai menulis puisi sebesar 57,98% yang seharunya target skor nilai sebesar 75% minimal. Setelah dilakukan pendekatan STEM pasca implementasi diperoleh skor akhir menulis cerpen sebesar 83,40% atau meningkat sebanyak 3,34% sedangkan menulis cerpen diperoleh skor sebesar 82,34% atau meningkat sebanyak 3,29% dari target nilai sebelumnya. Dapat dikatakan pendekatan STEAM dalam pembelajaran daring menulis kreatif karya sastra memiliki perbedaan dari pembelajaran sebelumnya.

Abstract

This research examines the identity of the Sundanese people contained in the Ciung Wanara (CW) myth. The research method uses the Levi-Strauss structuralism approach, which is assumed to be able to interpret myths comprehensively through innate discoveries which are the meeting point between surface and deep structure. The stages of research were carried out in several locations, namely (1) the search for Ciung Wanara data was divided into episodes and units; (2) synchronous and diachronic series were made to find the surface structure; (3) looking for a deep structure with a binary opposition path; and (4) innate discovery. The results showed that there were 17 episodes and 49 units. From the synchronic and diachronic tables for my theme, five triangular patterns were found, namely the queen's triangle pattern, the Supreme triangle pattern, the parents' triangle pattern, the life triangle pattern, the natural triangle pattern, and also found the Sundanese political triad. The most dominant pattern is contained in the Ciung Wanara myth, namely the triangular way of life, patterns of thinking, patterns of behavior, and patterns of action which are the identity of the Sundanese people and the application of the triad of Sundanese Politica (silih asih, silih asah, and silih asuh). AbstrakPenelitian ini mengkaji jati diri orang Sunda yang terdapat dalam mitos Ciung Wanara (CW). Penelitian menunjukkan model logis orang Sunda mengatasi konflik atau kontradiksi yang terjadi di antara mereka. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan strukturalisme Levi-Strauss yang diasumsikan dapat memaknai mitos secara komprehensif melalui penemuan innate yang merupakan titik temu antara surface dan deep structure. Tahapan penelitiannya, yaitu (1) pencarian data CW dibagi dalam episode dan unit; (2) dibuat deret sinkronis dan diakronis untuk menemukan surface structure; (3) dicari deep structure dengan jalan oposisi biner; dan (4) penemuan innate. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 17 episode dan 49 unit. Dari hasil penyusunan tabel sinkronis dan diakronis untuk mytheme ditemukan lima pola segitiga, yaitu pola segitiga permaisuri, pola segitiga Mahatinggi, pola segitiga orang tua, pola segitiga kehidupan, pola segitiga alam, dan ditemukan pula trias politika Sunda. Pola yang paling dominan terdapat dalam mitos CW, yaitu pola segitiga kehidupan, pola berpikir, pola bersikap, dan pola bertindak yang menjadi kekhasan jati diri orang Sunda, serta penerapan dari trias politika Sunda (silih asih, silih asah, dan silih asuh).

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of online learning in Indonesian Language Courses (MKBI). The evaluation uses the Context, Input, Process, Product (CIPP) model. This qualitative research design uses descriptive evaluative. Data collection instruments used closed questionnaires, structured interviews, and documentation. Data processing techniques refer to the Guttman scale. The results showed the average value of the context evaluation aspects (0.92), input evaluation (0.85), process evaluation (0.86), and product evaluation (0.90). So, it can be concluded that MKBI's online learning at IKIP Siliwangi is very appropriate and effective.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan pembelajaran daring pada Mata Kuliah Bahasa Indonesia (MKBI). Evaluasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan model Context, Input, Process, Product (CIPP). Desain penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan deskriptif evaluatif. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan angket tertutup, wawancara terstruktur, dan dokumentasi. Teknik pengolahan data merujuk pada skala Guttman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rerata aspek evaluasi konteks (0,92), evaluasi input (0,85), evaluasi proses (0,86), dan evaluasi produk (0,90). Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran daring MKBI di IKIP Siliwangi sudah sangat sesuai dan efektif.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and examine errors commonly committed by seventh grade students. It was conducted to support teachers improve the students’ writing proficiency in English by identifying students’ weaknesses and mistakes in using the language in the written medium. A class of 30 students was selected to participate in this research which they were asked to write an essay about narrative text. The essays were subjected to error analysis by using a criterion for grade 7 English standards which was adapted from Chanquoy’s error classification. The results were then analysed and validated. They significantly showed that students had weaknesses in the use of punctuation, grammar (specifically verb tenses), and capitalization. Other mistakes included spelling, subject-verb agreement, preposition, conjunction, and pronouns. The results are expected to help English teachers to develop their classroom strategies and emphasize more on the common mistakes made by the students. In this regard, students are expected to improve their writing skills, specifically in those topic areas.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the acquisition of Indonesian vocabulary by elementary school students, both orally and in writing. This research falls under the category of a case study, with the research population consisting of students from SDN II Nyomplong, West Bandung Regency. The sample includes one student each from grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. The research data were collected through video recordings using the observation and note-taking method and processed with the Nusantara Corpus application. The results of the study indicate that students from grades one to six demonstrate varying developments in their basic language abilities, with increasing complexity and accuracy across grade levels. In the lower grades, students tend to use limited vocabulary, exhibit high repetition of words, and make errors in pronunciation or word choice. As age and grade levels increase, students show improvements in vocabulary variation, more accurate pronunciation, and the ability to construct more complex and formal sentences. Written vocabulary mastery also improves gradually, although guidance is still needed in sentence structure and spelling at the early stages. These findings suggest a relationship between age, grade level, and language development influenced by experience and language exposure. This study highlights the importance of developing instructional materials tailored to students' language proficiency levels to better support their comprehension development in the future. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemerolehan kosakata bahasa Indonesia siswa sekolah dasar secara lisan dan tertulis. Jenis penelitian ini termasuk dalam studi kasus yang mana populasi penelitian siswa SDN II Nyomplong Kabupaten Bandung Barat dan sampel yang diambil masing-masing satu siswa di kelas 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, dan 6. Metode penelitian ini data diperoleh melalui rekaman video dengan metode simak-catat, serta diolah menggunakan aplikasi Korpus Nusantara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa kelas satu hingga enam menunjukkan perkembangan kosakata yang bervariasi dengan peningkatan kompleksitas dan ketepatan dari setiap tingkatan kelas. Pada kelas- kelas awal, siswa masih cenderung menggunakan kosakata terbatas dengan pengulangan kata yang tinggi dan kesalahan dalam pengucapan atau pilihan kata. Seiring meningkatkannya usia dan tingkat kelas, siswa memperlihatkan perbaikan dalam variasi kosakata, pengucapan yang lebih tepat, serta kemampuan menyusun kalimat yang lebih kompleks dan formal. Penguasaan kosakata tertulis pada siswa juga meningkat secara bertahap, meskipun masih membutuh-kan bimbingan dalam struktur kalimat dan ejaan pada tingkat awal. Temuan ini mengindikasikan adanya hubungan antara usia, tingkat kelas, dan perkembangan kosakata yang dipengaruhi oleh pengalaman serta paparan bahasa. Studi ini menyoroti pentingnya pengembangan materi pembela-jaran yang disesuaikan dengan tingkat kemampuan bahasa siswa untuk mendukung perkembangan kosakata yang lebih baik di masa depan.
