Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effect of the radiation source and radiation time on the methylene blue (MB) solution by adding Ni-Cd/Al2O3 to the percent degradation of MB. To investigate similar purposes, the pH of the MB solution varied as well. The preparation, characterization, and photocatalytic activity of Ni-Cd/Al2O3 are three steps in this research. The Ni-Cd was prepared by mixing Ni(NO3)2.6H2O and Cd(NO3)2.4H2O. Various concentrations of Ni-Cd were mixed with Al2O3, then heated, stirred, dried, and calcined to form Ni-Cd/Al2O3 powder. The dried powder catalysts were characterized using Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), Brunauer-emmett-teller (BET), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and Diffused reflectance spectrometer spectra (DR-UV-Vis). Higher degradation was observed at pH 11, when MB was degraded by 68% and 76% using the 5Ni-2Cd/Al2O3 and 6Ni-1Cd/Al2O3 catalysts, respectively. The 6Ni-1Cd/Al2O3 sample has higher absorption, less surface area, and less band gap; therefore, it has higher performance against degraded MB in the solution. In summary, 6Ni-1Cd/Al2O3 is capable of degrading MB and can be utilized in MB dye waste. Copyright © 2023 by Authors, Published by BCREC Group. Abstract

There has been a COVID-19 pandemic outbreak since the end of 2019 requiring learning not to be carried out in school but as distance learning (PJJ). Technology plays an important role in PJJ such as learning through video, learning video, learning web applications, or video conference using any platforms. Teachers as facilitators must have skills in technology and creating fun learning models that can facilitate the student in PJJ. So, it is necessary to carry out the activity to update the knowledge and skills of teachers so that they can adapt to pandemic conditions by conducting a fun online learning models training for teachers. Therefore, they can create an interesting online learning that can motivate and facilitate PJJ according to the 2013 Curriculum. As an area that is very close to Jakarta, Bekasi Regency is located just to the east of Jakarta, so it is appropriate that Universitas Negeri Jakarta as a higher education institution makes Bekasi Regency the target area for the training. This training was conducted on 18th of September, 202l, located at SMP Negeri 2 Tarumajaya with 25 participants consist of teachers from several schools in Bekasi Regency. This training used a combination of methods like presentation, discussions, demonstration, and Q&A session. The result of this training shows that participants can add new insight regarding the application of fun online learning models for students during the pandemic and have responded positively to the training that is organized by Department of Chemistry Education UNJ

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Metode pembelajaran yang efektif diperlukan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Anatomi Fisiologi Sistem Reproduksi. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasi experiment dengan rancangan pretest–posttest two group design. Sampel penelitian adalah 100 mahasiswa tingkat I Jurusan Farmasi Poltekkes Kemenkes Jakarta II tahun 2025 yang diambil dengan teknik total sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner pengetahuan sistem reproduksi manusia. Analisis data meliputi uji univariat dan bivariat. Uji normalitas menggunakan Kolmogorov–Smirnov. Peningkatan pengetahuan dianalisis menggunakan Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, sedangkan perbandingan antar kelompok menggunakan Mann–Whitney U Test. Hasil: Terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan yang signifikan pada kelompok ceramah tanya jawab dan media audiovisual (p < 0,05). Namun, tidak terdapat perbedaan peningkatan pengetahuan yang signifikan antar kelompok (p > 0,05). Simpulan: Metode ceramah tanya jawab dan media audiovisual sama-sama efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan mahasiswa mengenai sistem reproduksi.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the language and communication skills of children aged 5-6 years through the implementation of Market Day activities. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. The subjects were 15 children at KB Karya Akbar Mandiri, Indragiri Hilir. Data were collected through participatory observation and documentation, then analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods. The findings showed a significant increase in language proficiency in each cycle. In the pre-cycle stage, the majority of children (12 children) were still in the Starting to Develop (MB) category. After the intervention in Cycle I, the achievement percentage increased to 60.8%. The peak improvement occurred in Cycle II, reaching 84.9%, with 11 children achieving the Developed Very Well (BSB) category. Market Day activities are proven effective in stimulating children's interactive communication skills through contextual buying and selling interactions.
