Abstract

Proses berpikir kritis merupakan kemampuan yang esensial dalam menghadapi era modernisasi. Namun tidak sedikit siswa yang menghadapi kesulitan dalam proses berpikir kritis terutama pada pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis problematika berpikir kritis siswa SMK dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika pada materi aturan sinus dan cosinus. Penelitian dilakukan di SMK Arya Singasari Larangan Kabupaten Brebes dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Data yang diperoleh melalui tes tertulis dan wawancara terhadap siswa yang dikategorikan dalam tiga kelompok: tinggi, sedang, dan rendah berdasarkan hasil belajar mereka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan kategori tinggi memiliki kemampuan proses berpikir kritis dalam menafsirkan informasi dan menerapkan strategi penyelesaian masalah namun menghadapi problematika dalam mengevaluasi kekuatan metode yang diterapkan serta tidak dapat menarik kesimpulan dengan jelas dan rinci. Siswa dengan kategori sedang dan rendah dapat menafsirkan informasi, tetapi keduanya mengalami problematika dalam proses berpikir kritis pada tahap menerapkan strategi, evaluasi, dan menarik kesimpulan. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh hasil bahwa problematika proses berpikir kritis siswa disebabkan karena kurangnya latihan dalam menyelesaikan masalah yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan minimnya pembelajaran berbasis pemecahan masalah menjadi faktor utama yang menghambat perkembangan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini merekomendasikan penerapan pembelajaran berbasis STEM dan Problem-Based Learning untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam memahami dan menyelesaikan masalah trigonometri.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' mathematical problem-solving skills based on the level of math anxiety they experience. Math anxiety is a psychological factor that can affect students' academic performance in mathematics, especially in that require problem solving. The research method is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection was carried out through tests, questionnaires, and interviews. The results of the math anxiety questionnaire categorized students into high, medium, and low categories. Respondents were collected by purposive sampling from each category of math anxiety. Data analysis consists of reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that students with low math anxiety were able to solve problems more systematically and flexibly, while students with high math anxiety tended to have difficulty understanding problems and designing solution strategies. Students in the math anxiety category are having difficulty in implementing a completion plan and providing the right conclusions. These findings confirm that math anxiety has a significant impact on students' mathematical problem-solving skills. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa berdasarkan tingkat kecemasan matematika yang dialaminya. Kecemasan matematika merupakan faktor psikologis yang dapat mempengaruhi prestasi akademik siswa dalam matematika, terutama dalam memecahkan masalah. Metode penelitiannya bersifat kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes, kuesioner, dan wawancara. Hasil kuesioner kecemasan matematika mengkategorikan siswa ke dalam kategori tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Responden dikumpulkan dengan purposive sampling dari setiap kategori kecemasan matematika. Analisis data terdiri dari reduksi, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan kecemasan matematika rendah mampu memecahkan masalah secara lebih sistematis dan fleksibel, sedangkan siswa dengan kecemasan matematika tinggi cenderung mengalami kesulitan memahami masalah dan merancang strategi solusi. Siswa dalam kategori kecemasan matematika mengalami kesulitan dalam menerapkan rencana penyelesaian dan memberikan kesimpulan yang tepat. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa kecemasan matematika memiliki dampak yang signifikan pada keterampilan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa.

Abstract

This study explores the challenges faced by vocational students in solving contextual problems in statistics using the TEFA (Teaching Factory) approach, aimed at enhancing their analytical and problem-solving skills—competencies that are highly valued in the industrial world. The purpose of this research is to analyze the difficulties students encounter when solving TEFA-based contextual problems in statistical topics. The subjects of this study were 38 tenth-grade students from class X TO 9 at SMK Kesatrian Purwokerto, selected based on their even semester daily test scores. The students were categorized into three groups: high (HC), medium (MC), and low (LC), based on the class average and standard deviation. This research employed a qualitative descriptive method. The findings revealed that students in the high category were generally able to understand statistical concepts and accurately calculate the mean, median, and mode. However, some students in this group did not sort the data from smallest to largest when calculating the median. Students in the medium category had difficulty recalling how to compute the mean, often resulting in incorrect answers; although the mode was correct, the median was not. Meanwhile, students in the low category acknowledged that they lacked understanding of how to calculate the mean, median, and mode.

Abstract

This research purpose to knowing affected of: 1) crosswords puzzle learning to learning motivation at third class in Harapan Umat Elementari School IT Purbalingga, 2) Crosswords puzzle learning to learning result at third class. Research method was experiment, with two group treatments that were control group and experiment group. Group control was 3C class and experiment group was 3F class. Data using in this research were primary and secondary data. And then data be analyzed by Independent Sample t-test. Result of the research have shown: 1) crosswords puzzle learning significant affected to learning motivation at third class in Harapan Umat Elementary School IT Purbalingga; and 2) crosswords puzzle learning affected to learning result at third class.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the mathematical creative thinking ability of Kesatrian Purwokerto High School students on the topic of trigonometry using the Discovery learning model and Probing-Prompting technique. The research design used true experimental design type post test only control design. The research sample was X TJKT 1 class of 37 students and X TJKT 2 class of 36 students and used cluster random sampling technique. Of the two classes taken TJKT 1 class as an experiment, TJKT 2 class as a control.The results showed: 1) There is an effect of Probing Prompting learning model on students' creative thinking skills, 2) There is an influence of the discovery learning model on students' thinking skills. The conclusion of this study shows that the ability to think creatively using the probing prompting technique is better than the class that uses the discovery learning model.

Abstract

Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur’an (TPQ) telah banyak dikelola secara konvensional, sehingga santri lulusan TPQ hanya dapat membaca Alquran, tanpa dibekali pemahaman Islam yang cukup. Hadirnya TPQ berbasis kurikulum diniyah, disamping santri dapat membaca Alquran, juga dapat menulis huruf Alquran serta memiliki pengetahuan tentang fiqih ibadah. Wilayah kecamatan Sumbang Banyumas, masyarakatnya sangat mendukung untuk terwujdnya TPQ berbasis kurikulum diniyah. Dipilih dua TPQ yaitu TPQ Al Huda dan TPQ Al jannah untuk dikembangkan menjadi TPQ berbasis kurikulum diniyah. Adanya desain baru dalam pengelolaan TPQ, diperoleh hasil: 1) jumlah santri meningkat 133%. 2) jumlah ustadz menngkat 300% 3) kegiatan santri dalam belajar meningkat 150%. 4) kepuasan orangtua dan anak meningkat 300%. Kesimpulan: TPQ berbasis kurikulum diniyah meningkatkan minat belajar bagi santri dan ustadz serta memperluas wawasan praktek ibadah bagi santri.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan analitik matematis ditinjau dari karakter yang berkembang dalam pembelajaran mahasiswa calon guru matematika Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif. Dipilih satu kelas sebagai subyek penelitian yang dipilih secara sampel bertujuan. Dipilih 9 mahasiswa sebagai responden, yang terdiri dari 3 mahasiswa kategori karakter tinggi, 3 mahasiswa kategori karakter sedang dan 3 mahasiswa kategori karakter rendah. Pengambilan data dengan dokumentasi, tes, angket, observasi, dan wawancara. Analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian diperoleh sebagai berikut: a). Kelompok mahasiswa berkarakter tinggi memiliki kemampuan berpikir analitik matematis pada setiap proses analitik yaitu membedakan, mengorganisasikan, dan menghubungkan. b) Kelompok mahasiswa yang berkarakter sedang mampu berpikir analitik matematis pada satu proses analitik yaitu membedakan, c)Kelompok mahasiswa yang berkarakter rendah rendah belum mampu berpikir analitik matematis pada setiap proses analitik yaitu membedakan, mengorganisasikan, dan menghubungkan.

Abstract

Kompos merupakan metode yang ramah lingkungan untuk mengolah limbah organik menjadi pupuk alami yang kaya akan nutrisi bagi tanah. Dalam artikel ini, kami menjelaskan langkah-langkah praktis untuk memulai proyek kompos di tingkat rumah tangga, termasuk pemilihan bahan, teknik pengomposan yang efisien, dan penanganan masalah umum. Selain itu, kami membahas manfaat ekologis dari pembuatan kompos, termasuk pengurangan limbah dan dampak positifnya pada pertanian organik. Dengan informasi yang disajikan dalam artikel ini, pembaca akan memiliki pengetahuan yang cukup untuk memulai proses pembuatan kompos mereka sendiri dan berkontribusi pada keberlanjutan lingkungan serta pertanian yang lebih sehat.

Abstract

Training participants tend to already use Google Forms to create evaluation questions. However, its use is not optimal. To facilitate and solve partner problems, training was conducted on the use of Google Forms as an online evaluation medium by optimizing latex applications in creating questions containing mathematical equations. Activities are divided into three stages, namely preparation, implementation and evaluation. As many as 72.5% of participants attended to take part in training activities. Training participants gain knowledge, experience, and the opportunity to try using latex to create mathematical equations. The training activity received a positive response from the training participants. Participants were enthusiastic about taking part in the training and wanted follow-up activities with themes that were still related to the use of technology in learning.

Abstract

Background: This experimental study explores the integration of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and the Mathtastic application to enhance mathematical reasoning and collaborative skills among primary school students. Aims: Grounded in constructivist learning theory, the research aims to determine the effectiveness of a technology-supported PBL approach in fostering students’ higher-order thinking and teamwork abilities in the context of mathematics education. Methods: The study employed a quasi-experimental design with control and experimental groups comprising Grade 5 students from a public elementary school. The experimental group received mathematics instruction through PBL integrated with the Mathtastic app, while the control group was taught using conventional methods. Data were collected using pre- and post-tests on mathematical reasoning, a collaboration rubric, and observation sheets. Result: The results showed a statistically significant improvement in the reasoning and collaboration performance of students in the experimental group compared to those in the control group. These findings suggest that combining PBL with interactive educational technology like Mathtastic can create a more engaging and effective learning environment for young learners. Conclusion: The study provides practical implications for teachers seeking to integrate digital tools and inquiry-based approaches to enrich mathematics learning experiences at the primary level.
