Abstract

Self-regulation learning is important for students because it consists of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are generated and monitored by themselves to achieve goals. Self regulation learning can grow with the determination of learning goals that can direct individuals to focus on achieving the desired learning targets. One of the factors that can improve self-regulation learning is goal setting because it is a planning process to achieve learning goals. This quasi-experimental study aims to obtain information on the application of goal setting in improving self-regulation learning. The subjects in this study were 82 students who were divided into 2 groups, namely 41 treat groups and 41 control groups. Using the research type of non-randomized control trial method with pretest and post-test control group design. The data collection technique used the Self regulation learning adaptation scale with a reliability of 0.927. The collected data were analyzed using the independent samples t-test and paired samples t-test analysis tests. It was found that the application of goal setting had an impact on students' self regulation learning. It is known that the results of the treat group are higher than the results of the control group.

Abstract

Subjective well-being is very important for someone, especially for students to understand quality of life. This study aims to determine the relationship between gratitude and emotional regulation with subjective well-being of SMPN 1 Prambon. This research method is quantitative with a population of 1043 students and a sample of 285 students. Determination of the sample using proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Collecting data in this study used three measuring scales for the variables of gratitude, emotional regulation and subjective well-being. The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between gratitude and subjective well-being (r=0.408, p=<0.001), there is a relationship between emotional regulation and subjective well-being (r=0.428, p=<0.001), and there is a significant positive relationship between gratitude and emotional regulation with subjective well-being (F= 32.314 with p=<0.001). This study adds a new variance that gratitude and emotional regulation together predict subjective well-being by 18.6%.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the phenomenon of parental self-efficacy. Many school children have maladaptive behavior so parents must have the ability to care for their children. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between emotion regulation and parental self-efficacy of preschool mothers of KB-TK 'Aisyiyah in Sidoarjo. This study used a correlational quantitative method. The population was 205, namely mothers who have preschool children aged 3-6 years old at KB-TK 'Aisyiyah in Sidoarjo. Determination of the sample using saturated sample technique where the entire population is used as a research sample. The data collection technique in this study used a psychological scale in the form of a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used in this study is product moment correlation using JASP 0.16.20. The results showed that the correlation coefficient = 0.213 with a significance of 0.003 <0.05. These results mean that there is a positive relationship between emotion regulation and parental self-efficacy. Thus, the hypothesis proposed in this study is accepted, the higher the emotion regulation, the higher the parental self-efficacy owned, on the contrary, the lower the emotion regulation, the lower the parental self-efficacy owned.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of maladaptive behavior in preschool children. Preschool age has an important role in preparing children to enter education. Maladaptive behavior is influenced by several factors including environmental, genetic and psychological. The study aims to determine differences in maladaptive behavior in preschool-age children in terms of gender and parental education level. This type of research is quantitative comparison. The population was 205, namely mothers who have preschool children aged 3-6 years. The sample determination used a saturated sample technique where the entire existing population was used as a research sample. The variables in this study are maladaptive behavior and demographic variables of gender and education level of parents. The research data collection technique used a maladaptive behavior scale adapted from the Strength and Difficulties Questionare (SDQ). The data analysis technique uses Regression Test with the help of JASP 16.0. The results showed that there was no significant influence between gender on maladaptive behavior that was raised (Mann-Whitney 4954.000, p = 0.495> 0.05) and there was a significant influence between the level of parental education on maladaptive behavior that was raised (Kruskal-Wallis 10.202, p = 0.001 <0.05).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan tingkat regulasi emosi jika ditinjau dari faktor demografi jenis kelamin, rentang usia, dan urutan kelahiran. Responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 289 remaja yang disesuaikan kriteria oleh peneliti. Instrumen penelitian ini terdiri dari kuisioner demografi dan Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ)  yang telah diadaptasi dalam Bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif komparatif. Analisis hipotesis penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan software JASP 0.16.1.0 dan didapatkan hasil bahwa terdapat perbedaan regulasi emosi remaja jika ditinjau dari rentang usia yang ditunjukkan pada nilai signifikansi p < 0,001. Perbedaan regulasi emosi jika ditinjau dari perbedaan rentang usia remaja menunjukkan bahwa regulasi emosi memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan sedangkan jika ditinjau dari urutan kelahiran dan jenis kelamin tingkat regulasi emosi tidak memiliki perbedaan. Uji Anova menuliskan bahwa interaksi antar variabel demografi tidak signifikan yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai p > 0,01 (p = 0,072) Kata kunci: regulasi emosi, remaja muslim sidoarjo, jenis kelamin, rentang usia, urutan kelahiran

Abstract

The maladaptive behavior of preschoolers has been in the spotlight during the Covid-19 pandemic. Behavior that shows the child is unable to adapt according to the stages of development of his age. The problems that arise can hinder the achievement of optimal child development. The purpose of this study was to describe the maladaptive behavior of 'Aisyiyah KB-TK preschool children in Sidoarjo post-covid-19. This study uses a non-experimental quantitative method. The population in this study were mothers of preschool children (age 3-6 years) with a total of 205. The total sample was 205 using a convenience sampling technique. The data measurement tool uses the adaptation instrument from the Strength and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) to see maladaptive behavior of preschoolers. The data analysis used in this study was the RASH model to see a picture of maladaptive behavior of preschoolers with the help of WINSTEPS version 3.37 to determine the reliability and validity of the research instrument. The results of the analysis show that the average measurement value (in logit) for a person is -1.54 logit. The average value lower than logit 0.006 indicates that most of the 'Aisyiysh KB-TK preschool children in Sidoarjo do not show maladaptive behavior.

Abstract

The background in this study is the phenomenon of vocational students who are found to have problems with sexual behavior deviations, the purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between self-control and sexual behavior in vocational students. The variable included in this study is self-control as an independent variable and as a dependent variable for sexual behavior. This study was conducted in vocational training “X” Mojosari, with a sample of 84 students, using Probability Sampling, Proportional Strict Random Sampling. The data collection technique in this study uses the first two psychological scales of the Likert model, i.e., the thurstone scale for the self-control scale and the sexual behavior scale. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a relationship between self-control and sexual behavior in high school vocational training students. Data analysis was performed using the Pearson product moment correlation statistical technique using the Windows SPSS program. The results of the data analysis of this study indicate a correlation coefficient of 0.856 with a significance of 0.000 <0.05 means that there is a positively relationship between self-control and significant and unidirectional sexual behavior. So that the higher the self control, the more also high sexual behavior in students at vocational high school "X" Mojosari, as well otherwise. The contribution effective of self-control to sexual behavior was 73.2%.

Abstract

Academic stress is an individual response that arises because of their inability to complete or complete academic demands. This study aims to determine the relationship between adversity quotient and academic stress in students of SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Boarding School Tanggulangin. This research is a correlational quantitative study. The population in this study were all students of SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Boarding School Tanggulangin, with a sample of 114 subjects. Data collection techniques in this study used the adversity quotient scale (ɑ = 0.949) and the academic stress scale (ɑ = 0.945). The data analysis technique used Pearson's product-moment correlation with the help of SPSS 18.0. The results of the research data analysis showed that the correlation coefficient (rxy) was -0.247 with a significance of 0.004 <0.05, meaning that there was a significant negative relationship between adversity quotient and academic stress in students of SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Boarding School Tanggulangin. In this study, the influence of the adversity quotient variable with academic stress was 6.1%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional support and psychological well-being in students. This research method is quantitative with a correlational approach. The variables in this study are emotional support as the independent variable and psychological well-being as the dependent variable. This research was conducted at SMKN 1 Grati with a sample of 333 students who were taken by the sampling method used was probability sampling method with simple random sampling technique. namely the sampling technique by providing equal opportunities for each element. Data analysis was performed by Pearson product moment correlation analysis using SPSS 23 for windows program. The results showed that there was a positive relationship between emotional support and psychological well-being for students at SMKN 1 Grati. The results showed that the correlation coefficient was 0.562 with a significance level of 0.000 <0.05, which means that the hypothesis in this study can be accepted. With an effective contribution of 31.6%, which means that emotional support affects the level of psychological well-being of students.

Abstract

Premarital sexual relations experienced by young women can have a negative psychological impact. To deal with these conditions, it takes skills to restore mental conditions to normal, such as having not been exposed to a problem called resilience. This study aims to determine the description of resilience and the factors that influence resilience in adolescents who have had premarital sex. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological type, using 1 female subject aged between 13 – 23 years who lives in the city of Sidoarjo. Determination of subjects using a non-random sampling technique with purposive sampling strategy, data collection methods in the form of interviews with one primary subject, 2 significant others, and rating scale. The results showed that there was a picture of resilience in adolescent girls who had experienced adversity due to premarital sex. The most dominant aspect is insight, and the aspect that does not appear is humor. As well as showing the factors that influence resilience in adolescent girls in the form of I Have, I Am, I Can.
