Abstract

The aim of this research is to reveal the variables that will influence the quality of village-owned enterprises’ financial statements in North Sumatra. This research defined 3 (three) variables that will influence the quality of village-owned enterprise’s financial statements: information technology, competency, and top management support. The research method for this research was quantitative mixed with the qualitative method. The data collection method was a survey with questionnaires. The population of this research was all the village-owned enterprises in North Sumatra. The random sampling method chose the sample for 33 (thirty-three) village-owned enterprises. The result of this research showed that information technology and competency did not affect the quality of the village-owned enterprises in North Sumatra. Top-management support was the variable affecting the quality of the village-owned enterprises in North Sumatra.

Abstract

This research was conducted based on the number of industries engaged in the same type of business,which creates intense competition in that market share. Skinos Medan beauty clinic has capital, regular customers and experienced employees, However faced with obstacles in the aspect of management and utilization of the company's internal resources and the clinic also faces various threats from external company factors. This research aims to determine and analyze the marketing strategies that can be carried out by the Skinos Medan beauty clinic to increase the company's competitiveness based on STP analysis (Segmentation, Targeting, Positioning) and SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Threat, Opportunity). In this research, the author uses a qualitative method with data triangulation techniques. For data collection techniques are using the method of observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. For data analysis techniques are using STP analysis, IFAS matrix, EFAS matrix, SWOT diagram and SWOT matrix. Based on the results of STP analysis, Skinos Medan beauty clinic uses single-segment concentration strategy for Concentrated Marketing type of target market with the clinic positioning itself using Quality Positioning style. Furthermore, based on the results of the analysis using the IFAS matrix, EFAS matrix, SWOT diagram and SWOT matrix, the strategy obtained is in quadrant 4 strategy, called a defensive strategy. The implementation of the strategy is thatSkinos Medan beauty clinic will use an alternative WT (Weakness-Threat) strategy to survive and minimizes all the weaknesses and threats of the company.

Abstract

Abstrak Pemasaran digital merupakan salah satu strategi yang cukup diminati oleh bisnis saat ini, termasuk usaha kecil dan menengah terutama yang bergerak dalam bisnis makanan dan minuman. Kegiatan pengabdian yang dilaksanakan oleh dosen-dosen Politeknik Negeri Medan dan berkolaborasi dengan dosen-dosen dari Universiti Teknologi Mara Malaysia bertujuan untuk mengimpelementasikan pemasaran digital pada Kafe Tenank yang ada di Kota Medan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dimulai dengan pemaparan materi tentang digital marketing oleh pemateri sekaligus penulis buku dilanjutkan dengan implementasi langsung mengenai pemasaran digital. Metode pemasaran digital yang diimplementasikan melibatkan influencer kuliner yaitu Medan.Kulineran. Data yang digunakan untuk pemasaran digital adalah lokasi, menu, harga dan testimoni dari para pelanggan yang telah menikmati jasa dan produk di Kafe Tenank. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah konten digital yang dipublikasikan ke media sosial influencer Medan. Kulineran dan berkolaborasi dengan media sosial Kafe Tenank dan juga dibagikan oleh Politeknik Negeri Medan. Implementasi pemasaran digital diharapkan dapat meningkatkan jumlah kunjungan pelanggan ke Kafe Tenank dan menjadi branding untuk pelayanan di Kafe Tenank. Pada akhirnya, peningkatkan jumlah pengunjung dengan semakin dikenalnya Kafe Tenank, dapat berdampak pada peningkatan pendapatannya.

Abstract

The number of investors in the capital market in Indonesia is still quite low, indicated by the low number of investors in the capital market sector when compared to other financial products and services. This is because the public's understanding and knowledge is not yet well literate regarding investment in the capital market. Knowledge and skills regarding investment will increase interest and motivation in investing. This research aims to determine the impact of financial literacy on investment interest in the capital market among the millennial generation. The population in this study were Medan State Polytechnic students who had an interest in investing. Based on sampling calculations using the probability sampling method with the Slovin formula, a sample of 63 respondents was obtained. Data collection techniques through questionnaires using simple linear regression analysis. Instrument trials were analyzed using validity tests and reliability tests. The results of this research show that financial literacy has a significant effect on investment interest among the millennial generation.

Terknirk perngambirlan samperl yang dirgunakan dalam pernerlirtiran irnir adalah probablirlirty samplirng yaknir 37 Organirsasir Perrangkat Daerrah Kota Sirbolga. Populasir targert pernerlirtiran adalah Kasubbag Perrerncanaan dan atau Keruangan, Staf Pernatausahaan Keruangan dan Berndahara Perngerluaran dir masirng-masirng Perrangkat Daerrah, serhirngga jumlah samperl mernjadir 74 rerspondern. Mertoder perngumpulan data dirlakukan derngan kuersironerr. analirsirs rergrersir berrganda derngan mernggunakan program SPSS verrsir 22. Abstract

This research aims to identify and analyze the content marketing strategies employed by the Indonesian Hypnosis Centre (IHC) to enhance revenue from the Fundamental Hypnosis training in Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara Province. The primary issue under investigation is revenue instability, with a focus on utilizing unpaid content marketing strategies on Instagram as an alternative solution. Through a qualitative approach involving in-depth interviews and secondary data analysis, this study reveals that before 2018, IHC relied solely on paid marketing methods such as purchasing provider numbers and distributing brochures. However, since its introduction in 2018, Instagram content marketing has proven effective starting in 2019. A consistent, though modest, increase in participant contributions from Instagram has been observed. Additionally, the research explores the use of editing tools such as CapCut, CorelDRAW, and Filmora, and the benefits of microblogging and Instagram Reels within the content marketing strategy. The findings are expected to provide significant contributions to the development of content marketing strategies for training institutions, particularly in the field of hypnosis, to address the challenge of unstable revenue

Abstract

This research analyzed how the user interface, perceived ease of use, and behavioral intention impact user satisfaction with the SMOPI application based on the technology acceptance model. A quantitative survey using a cross-sectional design collected data from application users through sampling. Structural equation modeling with SMARTPLS analyzed the results. The findings demonstrated that the user interface significantly influenced satisfaction, with a path coefficient of 0.645 and P-value of 0.021, indicating a comfortable and relevant interface enhances satisfaction. However, perceived ease of use and behavioral intention did not significantly impact satisfaction, recording path coefficients of -0.015 (P-value 0.947) and 0.189 (P-value 0.591), respectively. In closing, the user interface emerged as the most consequential factor in determining satisfaction with the SMOPI application. Optimizing features to align with consumer needs while refining the design were recommended to boost satisfaction overall. Adopting the technology acceptance model in this research provided useful insights into user acceptance and the satisfaction-influencing elements.

Abstract

Villages, with all their natural and human potential, play an important role in increasing national income. Therefore, development must be directed at the sustainable use of resources in rural areas. The New Generation BUMDes is part of the process of utilizing existing resources. This study aims to (1) identify the obstacles faced in managing the New Generation BUMDes and (2) formulate a management strategy for the New Generation BUMDes in Batu Bini Village, Padang Batung District. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach, with the research subject being the New Generation BUMDes in Batu Bini Village, South Hulu Sungai Regency. The study results show that: (1) there are still several obstacles in BUMDes management, including budget constraints, insufficient capacity of human resources among managers, and a lack of participation from the community and private sector. (2) The management strategy of the New Generation BUMDes is carried out based on applicable regulations, including the process of institutional formation and the provision of facilities and infrastructure, as well as managing BUMDes with the continued use of the Village Government Budget. The study concludes that the management of the New Generation BUMDes in Batu Bini Village has been carried out in accordance with the applicable regulations. However, challenges such as limited budgets, inadequate human resource capacity, and minimal participation from the community and private sector must be addressed to ensure more effective BUMDes management, ultimately achieving the goals of its establishment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the utilization of accounting information in decision-making at the Health Department of Sibolga City, particularly examining the quality of accounting information and its impact on budget planning and performance evaluation. The study uses two main variables: the quality of accounting information, measured by relevance, reliability, timeliness, and completeness, and decision-making, focused on budget planning and performance evaluation. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach through a case study. Data collection began with a questionnaire as an initial step, followed by in-depth interviews with selected informants for deeper analysis. Data analysis also includes reliability and validity testing of the questionnaire instruments. The findings indicate that accounting information at the Health Department of Sibolga City has been used in decision-making processes. However, challenges remain in budget planning, particularly with revenue target indicatorsand in performance evaluation concerning revenue realization. These challenges stem from limitations in human resources, such as lack of training and qualifications, and organizational culture factors that hinder optimal utilization of accounting information. In conclusion, while accounting information is being utilized, improving the quality of decision-making requires addressing human resource and organizational culture aspects to ensure accounting information is fully optimized.

Abstract

Pembelajaran daring selama pandemi Covid-19 memberikan dampak terhadap motivasi belajar mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki penggunaan aplikasi e-learning dan dampaknya terhadap motivasi belajar mahasiswa di Program Studi Akuntansi Politeknik Negeri Medan.  Hasil uji prototype menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan motivasi belajar saat mahasiswa menggunakan aplikasi e-learning mata kuliah Manajemen Keuangan. Dari hasil pengujian terhadap 33 (tiga puluh tiga) mahasiswa, terlihat bahwa sebanyak 21 (dua puluh satu) mahasiswa dapat menyelesaikan ujian yang terdiri dari 3 (tiga) soal dan dinyatakan kompeten.
