Abstract

ABSTRACTBackground:Cataract is a condition where lens that usually clear and transparent become cloudy. Based on the last report, cataract is responsible for 51% of blindness that happen in the world, which presented around 20 millions people. In Indonesia, the estimate of incindent rate of cataract is 0.1% a year which means every year there is one person a new patient of cataract among 1000 people.  The occurrence of cataract cannot be separated from the risk factors that affect it. Purposes:This research aims to determine the risk factor of the occurrence of cataract in costal area of kendari. Methods:This research is observational analytic research with case-control matching design. The population were all patients who visited the Puskesmas Abeli, Nambo dan Mata in 2015-2016. The sampling method is purposive sampling with the cases are those patient who was diagnosed with cataract and the control are not. The samples are 62 people with the comparison cases and controls is 1:1 so that the number of cases-samples are 31 people and controls-samples are 31 people who had been matched such as age and gender. The instrument of this research is questionnaire. Data were analyzed by determining the odds ratio. Results:The result of this research showed that job, income, and education are a risk factor for the occurrence of cataract which have meaningful statistically. Smoking habit and drink alcohol are a risk factor for the occurrence of cataract which doesn’t have meaningful statistically. The result of bivariat test for job is OR:2.908(CI95%:1.031-8.204), income OR:3.067 (CI95%:1.053-8.934), education OR:3.431 (OR95%:1.100-10.704), smoking OR:1.816 (IC95%: 0.616-5.355) and alcohol OR:2.467 (IC95%:0.733-8.369) Conclusions:The conclusions of this research is that job, income and education is a meaningful risk factor for the occurrence of cataract. Smoking and alcohol is a meaningless risk factor in costal area of Kendari. Keywords: cataract, risk factor

Abstract

The aim of this research and development is to determine the level of validity, practicality and effectiveness of pop-up book-based serial picture learning media to improve speaking skills in class II elementary schools. The research method used is R & D (Research and Development) with the ADDIE model which consists of 5 steps, namely (1) Analysis, (2) Design (design), (3) Development (development), (4) Implementation (implementation) , (5) Evaluation (Evaluation). The results of this research show that. (1) The validation results obtained from the media validator reached a percentage of 96% and the material validator reached 88%, so the validation results are included in the very valid criteria. (2) The results of the limited scale teacher response questionnaire were 96%, the broad scale teacher response was 94% and the results of the limited scale student response questionnaire were 98%, the results of the broad scale student questionnaire were 97%, reaching very good criteria, so the practicality of pop-up book-based serial picture learning media wisdom has very practical criteria. (3) the results of the effectiveness test on a limited scale obtain a normality test value of sig. of 0.942 > 0.005 and 0.499 > 0.05, the data is normally distributed, on a broad scale the normality test results get a value of 0.136 > 0.05 and 0.291 > 0.05, the data is normally distributed, the homogeneity test gets a value of 0.053 > 0.05, so the data is the same or homogeneous, the t-test gets a sig value. (2-tailed) obtained is 0.000 < 0.05, so there is a difference between the post-test and pre-test, which means there is an influence of the use of pop up book serial image learning media on improving student learning.

Abstract

This development research is based on the results of observations and interviews that learning Indonesian reading and viewing still has several students whose interest in reading is still low. Based on the results of observations and interviews that became the basis of the research entitled the development of children's story comic media to improve reading and writing literacy skills in grade 4 elementary school students. The media developed were tested for validity, effectiveness, and practicality. This research is a type of development research or Research and Development using the ADDIE model. In this study were students and teachers of grade 4 SDN Ngoro 2. Data collection techniques in the research conducted using observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests with quantitative and qualitative data analysis. The purpose of the study was to determine the quality of the learning media products developed based on aspects of validity, effectiveness, and practicality. The results of the comic development research are as follows: (1) comic media is declared valid with results of 87% from material validation and 78.75% from media validation, (2) comic media is declared very practical with results of 96% from teacher responses and 98.26% from student responses, (3) comic media is declared very effective after the evaluation test or posttest with the results of the completion of the limited trial showing an average of 88.6 and the extensive trial showing an average value of 87.6.   Keywords : comics, learning media, indonesian

Abstract

Menghidupkan kembali permainan tradisional sebagai warisan bangsa di tengah kehidupan sehari hari. Permainan tradisional dipilih sebagai media utama  karena mampu mendorong interaksi sosial, kolaborasi, dan pengembangan karakter yang positif di kalangan anak-anak Metode yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR), yang dipilih karena melibatkan secara aktif masyarakat dalam setiap kegiatan yang dilaksanakan. Kegiatan ini melibatkan kerjasama antara panitia dan masyarakat setempat dalam merancang dan melaksanakan kegiatan festival permainan tradisional. Kegiatan ini dirancang untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan anak-anak dalam aktivitas yang melibatkan fisik dan sosial, serta mendidik mereka mengenai nilai budaya lokal. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam partisipasi anak-anak dalam permainan tradisional, yang berdampak positif terhadap pengurangan jumlah waktu yang dihabiskan di depan layar gadget dan menurunkan insiden bullying. Hasil pelaksanan kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan ini cukup efektif, dapat dilihat dari anak anak yang sebelumnya lebih banyak menghabiskan waktu bermain gadget, setelah mengikuti festival ini mereka lebih memilih bermain permainan tradisional di halaman rumahnya  bersama teman sebayanya yang lebih seru dibanding bermain gadget. Dengan demikian, pengabdian  ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya penerapan permainan tradisional sebagai alat, tidak hanya untuk mengalihkan perhatian dari gadget, tetapi juga untuk membentuk karakter dan menciptakan lingkungan bermain yang sehat, yang pada akhirnya berkontribusi pada peningkatan kualitas masa kanak-kanak. Dalam hal ini dibuktikan dengan adanya festival yang diadakan mahasiswa KKN juga terlihat perkembangan kreativitas anak yang mulai berkembang seperti dalam halnya bermain dan belajar, anak-anak mulai menyadari senangnya bermain bersama secara langsung dengan teman sebayanya.

Abstract

Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media Pop Up Book berbasis QR Code materi bagian tubuh tumbuhan yang valid menurut ahli materi dan media serta praktis dan efektif menurut pengguna (guru). Pada uji validitas memperoleh nilai rata-rata 89,165% dengan kategori layak digunakan tanpa adanya revisi. Kemudian hasil uji kepraktisan produk oleh pengguna melalui angket respon pengguna mendapatkan rata-rata 96% oleh guru dengan kategori sangat praktis, lalu 96,1% dan 95,4% oleh peserta didik dengan kategori sangat praktis. Sedangkan hasil uji efektivitas dari kegiatan pre-test dan post-test mendapatkan rata-rata 88,06% dengan kategori sangat efektifoleh karena itu, dapat ditarik simpulan bahwa penelitian dan pengembangan ini menghasilkan media Pop Up Book berbasis QR Code yang telah memenuhi kategori pada uji validitas, uji kepraktisan, dan uji efektivitas. Produk ini dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu media yang baik untuk diterapkan pada pembelajaran IPA kelas IV SD.

Abstract

The use of learning media at Bangsongan Elementary School is less varied and learning outcomes are still low based on the results of observations and distribution of teacher questionnaires and tests for students. This research aims to 1) determine the validity 2) practicality and 3) effectiveness of netado media. The method used is the R&D (Research and Development) method with the ADDIE development model. Data collected through media and material validation questionnaires, teacher and student response questionnaires, as well as pretest and posttest for pre-requisite tests 1) normality test, 2) homogeneity test, and 3) T test. Through media and material expert validation results, percentages were obtained 87.5% and 90% which can be said by the media are valid. Furthermore, when administering the teacher and student response questionnaire, a percentage score of 92% and 95% was obtained, which stated that the media was practical to use. In the normality test, it is known that the results are 0.287 > 0.05, limited test and 0.257 > 0.05, so it is said that the data used is normal. Furthermore, the homogeneity test obtained results of 0.543 > 0.05 limited test and 0.185 > 0.05 broad test, so it can be said that the data used is homogeneous or similar. Finally, the T test obtained results of 0.001 < 0.05 limited test and 0.001 < 0.05 broad test, so it can be said that there are differences in the different treatments, namely the use of netado media.

Abstract

This research is driven by the low ability of students to describe cultural diversity, caused by the inappropriate use of teaching media. The aim of this study is to enhance the validity of the development of interactive android-based learning media in Social Studies for fourth-grade elementary school students, to determine the practicality of this media on the topic of Cultural Diversity, and to measure its effectiveness. The research model used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model design. The study was conducted at Kayunan State Elementary School with 46 fourth-grade students as subjects. Data collection techniques include documentation, observation, and questionnaires. Data collection instruments include interviews, validation sheets, and student response questionnaires. The research results show that the interactive android-based learning media is very valid with a validity score of 95% from media and material experts, very effective with a percentage of 91%, and very practical with a score of 92.35%. The researcher concludes that this media can improve students' descriptive abilities and help make learning more student-centered. It is recommended that Kayunan State Elementary School continue to develop this interactive learning media.

Abstract

In the IPAS learning process, students are taught about living things, inanimate objects in the universe, and their interactions. A learning model that is not accompanied by appropriate media may fail to stimulate students’ interest and enthusiasm, thereby hindering the effectiveness of learning evaluation due to student boredom and lack of motivation. Developing instructional media using Android-Based Interactive Multimedia is the solution offered by the researcher based on a needs analysis. This study aims to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of Android-Based Interactive Multimedia. The research method used is R&D (Research and Development) with the ADDIE development model. The subjects of this study consisted of 28 students and 1 homeroom teacher. Data collection techniques included validity (questionnaires from media and material experts), practicality (questionnaires from teacher and student responses), and effectiveness (post-test). The validity data from the media expert showed a score of 86%, and the validation results from the material expert showed a score of 91%, both categorized as very valid. The practicality data based on teacher responses showed a score of 84%, and student responses showed a score of 91%, both categorized as very practical. The effectiveness data based on classical student mastery showed a score of 94%, categorized as very effective. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Android-Based Interactive Multimedia on the topic of human respiratory organs is considered to be very valid, very practical, and very effective for use in teaching the topic of human respiratory organs.Bagian Atas Formulir

Abstract

Rendahnya hasil belajar dan motivasi siswa sekolah dasar dalam memahami materi keragaman budaya masih menjadi tantangan dalam pembelajaran tematik. Salah satu solusi yang ditawarkan adalah penggunaan media web Educaplay berbasis Cooperative Script untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang interaktif, kolaboratif, dan bermakna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pengembangan media web Educaplay berbasis Cooperative Script pada materi keragaman budaya untuk siswa sekolah dasar, dan menganalisis kelayakan media tersebut ditinjau dari aspek validitas, praktikalitas, dan efektivitas serta dampaknya terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan menganalisis 32 artikel ilmiah yang relevan dan terpublikasi antara tahun 2015–2025. Teknik analisis dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif melalui proses identifikasi, seleksi, dan sintesis temuan dari berbagai sumber penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses pengembangan media umumnya mengikuti model ADDIE dan 4D, dengan fokus pada integrasi aktivitas kolaboratif dalam pembelajaran berbasis web. Dari aspek kelayakan, media Educaplay berbasis Cooperative Script memperoleh kategori sangat valid dan praktis, serta terbukti efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa sebesar 20–35%. Secara keseluruhan, penerapan media ini mampu meningkatkan partisipasi aktif, pemahaman konsep budaya, serta sikap kerja sama dan toleransi antar siswa.
