Abstract

Cabai (Capsicum annum L.) merupakan tanaman sayuran yang selalu dikonsumsi hampir setiap hari karena merupakan bumbu penyedap  makanan dan mengandung banyak gizi yang diperlukan untuk kesehatan. Banyaknya jenis pupuk organik yang beredar dan ditawarkan untuk petani, sering membingungkan jenis mana yang sebaiknya digunakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan beberapa pupuk organik cair terhadap  kandungan Klorofil tanaman cabai merah. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kebun percobaan dan untuk analisis klorofil di laboratorium Biofarmaka Jurusan Biologi FMIPA Universitas Negeri Manado. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok dimana terdapat 4 faktor perlakuan yaitu pupuk DiGrow, PSBN, Groumor, dan Kontrol (tanpa perlakuan) pada 4 kelompok percobaan. Uji hipotesis  menggunakan  Anova One Way pada taraf signifikansi 5% dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan untuk melihat perbedaan antar perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan  jenis pupuk berpengaruh nyata terhadap   klorofil-b dan klorofil-total daun sedangkan perlakuan kelompok tidak berpengaruh nyata. Kandungan klorofil daun tertinggi pada perlakuan dengan menggunakan pupuk organik PSBN diikuti DiGrow. Penggunaan pupuk organik cair sangat bermanfaat dalam budidaya tanaman cabaiChili pepper (Capsicum annum L.) is a vegetable that is always consumed almost every day because it was a seasoning food and contain many nutrients which is good for health. There are many types of organic fertilizer that circulating and offered to farmers, are very confusing which type should be used. The aims of this research is to know the utilization of some fertilizersorganic liquid to Chili pepper’s chlorophyll. Research were held  in the experimental garden and for the analysis of chlorophyll in the Bio-Pharmacylaboratory of  Manado state University. The research is using random design group where there are four factors of fertilizersorganic liquid that is; DiGrow, PSBN, Groumor, and control (no treatment) on four  group experiment. Hypothesis testing  using Anova One   Way at 5% significance levelfollowed by Duncan test to see the differences of treatments. The results showed that the treatment type of fertilizer has real effect to the total-chlorophyll and chlorophyll-b. While the Group's treatment has no effect.The highest  of chlorophyll content inusing by organic fertilizer PSBN and followed by DiGrow. The used of liquid organic fertilizer is very beneficial in chili cultivation.

Abstract

ABSTRAK.Bakteri Pereduksi Sulfat (BPS) berperan dalam biodegradasi lahan tercemar. Identifikasi berdasarkan karakter fenotipik perlu dilakukan untuk mengetahui jenis bakteri ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan beberapa isolat bakteri pereduksi sulfat di lokasi pemandian air panas Saronsong kota Tomohon. Identifikasi  dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode profile matching. Bakteri termofilik pereduksi sulfat diisolasi dari lokasi pemandian air panas Sarongsong kota Tomohon menggunakan media cair postgate b yang telah dimodifikasi dan selanjutnya dilakukan pemurnian menggunakan metode pengenceran. Karakter fenotipik isolat bakteri termofilik pereduksi sulfat yang diuji meliputi morfologi koloni, morfologi sel dan karakter biokimia. Hasil isolasi pada kawasan air panas Sarongsong diperoleh 4 isolat bakteri termofilik pereduksi sulfat yang dilihat dari perubahan warna media selektif. Berdasarkan identifikasi dengan menggunakan metode profile matching menunjukkan bahwa keempat isolat tersebut diduga termasuk dalam anggota genus Desulfotomaculum (isolat AK4D3 dan L4D1), genus  Desulfomicrobium (isolat AJ4D5) dan genus Desulfobulbus (isolat L5D2).Kata Kunci:, fenotipik, identifikasi, isolasi, karakterisasi ABSTRACT. Sulfate Reducing bacteria play a role in biodegradation  of land contaminated.  Identification based on phenotype character needs to be done to know this type of bacteria. The objective of this research is to get some isolate of sulfate reducing bacteria in clear water, cloudy water and mud in Tomohon hot spring water location. Identification is done by using profile matching method. The sulfate reducing thermophilic bacteria was isolated from the Tomohon Sarongsong hot spring location using the modified postgate b liquid medium and then purified by dilution method. Phenotypic characteristics of sulfate reducing thermophilic bacteria isolates tested included colony morphology, cell morphology and biochemical character. The result of isolation at Sarongsong hot bath obtained 4 isolates of sulfate reducing thermophilic bacteria seen from selective media color change. Based on the identification using the profile matching method showed that the four isolates were suspected to be included in the members of the genus Desulfotomaculum (isolates of AK4D3 and L4D1), genus Desulfomicrobium (isolate AJ4D5) and genus Desulfobulbus (isolate L5D2).  Keywords:,  characteristics,  Identification, Isolation, Phenotypic

Abstract

The diversity of gastropod species is influenced by different substrates, environmental conditions, and human activities, so it is necessary to research the diversity of gastropod species in Lake Tondano. This study aims to obtain data on the diversity of gastropod species that live around Lake Tondano. The study was conducted in May 2022. The collection of research data on the diversity of gastropods in Lake Tondano begins by dividing the research area into five stations. Each station forms a Line transect of about 50 meters x 10 meters. At each line transect, 10 points will be determined in a zigzag manner for observation and sampling. The determination of the sample is carried out by purposive sampling. The gastropod samples will be identified and then documented, and the number will be recorded. Gastropods found around Lake Tondano are Achatinidae (Achatina fulica), Station 1: -, Station 2: -, Station 3: 1, Station 4: 1, Station 5: 1. Ampullariidae (Pila Ampullacea), Station 1 :173, Station 2 : -, Station 3: 73, Station 4: 117, Station 5: 57. Potamididae (Tylomeliana toradjarum), Station 1: 321, Station 2:2, Station 3: 123, Station 4: 3, Station 5 :-. Viviparidae (F. Javanica/ Filopaludina Javanica), Station 1: 85, Station 2: 161, Station 3: 335, Station 4: 315, Station 5: 153. Based on these data, the highest index is at point 3, and the density index is at point 1.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan produk berupa modul pembelajaran berbasis hasil riset keanekaragaman spesies ikan di danau Tondano pada mata kuliah Biodiversitas Sulawesi. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian dengan desain pengembangan ADDIE (analyze, design, development, implementation, evaluation). Pengembangan modul ajar ini dilakukan dalam menjawab permasalahan terhadap kendala mahasiswa dalam memperoleh sumber referensi belajar yang lebih spesifik, dikarenakan pada mata kuliah tersebut belum melakukan pengembangan tentang biodiversitas fauna khususnya keanekaragaman ikan di daerah danau Tondano. Modul yang dikembangkan melaui penyusunan storyboard terlebih dahulu untuk memudahkan menyusun produk akhir. Modul hasil pengembangan terlebih dahulu divalidasi oleh ahli materi dengan hasil validasi sebesar 97.48% dengan kategori sangat valid, dan validasi ahli media dengan hasil validasi sebesar 93.90% dengan kategori sangat valid. Uji efektivitas modul terhadap literasi sains dengan perolehan nilai N-Gain 87.70% dengan kategori “sangat efektif”, dan pembagian penskoran memperoleh nilai N-Gain 0.88 dengan kategori “tinggi”. Hasil respon mahasiswa terhadap modul menunjukkan nilai sebesar 95.61 dengan kategori “sangat praktis”.

Abstract

This research was conducted in class IX of Dian Todahe Middle School for the 2021/2022 academic year, with 25 students as subjects. This research aims to improve student learning outcomes by applying the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach to learning the movement of living creatures. This particular form of research is included in classroom action research (CAR) classification. This research examines student learning outcomes by analyzing their test scores before and after their involvement in the learning process, with a particular focus on Biology education, which is related to the movement of living things. Research findings show an increase in student performance during cycle II, which is then accompanied by an increase in student engagement. Of the total number of students, 22 (88%) completed their studies by getting a maximum score of 65. On the other hand, three students (12%) could only complete their studies if they scored below 65. The learning outcomes achieved in cycle II have fulfilled the requirements for completion. Traditionally, there has been a visible improvement in students' understanding of the subject matter.

Abstract

Applying appropriate teaching methods and approaches can aid students in constructing better understanding and actively engaging in learning, while also assisting teachers in addressing issues such as student inactivity and boredom. This study aims to examine the improvement of student learning outcomes through the implementation of an Nature Exploration Approach-based PAIKEM in teaching Environmental Pollution to 7th-grade students at SMP Negeri 4 Langowan. The research method utilized is Classroom Action Research (CAR) following Kemmis and Taggart's model. After implementing the JAS-based PAIKEM approach in the teaching process, the post-test results of the second cycle showed significant improvement. Out of 26 students, 25 students completed the test, achieving a 96.15% passing rate, with only one student not completing it, accounting for 3.85%, and the class average score was 87.5. These results indicate a substantial enhancement in student learning outcomes, reaching the predefined classical mastery level of 96.15%. Consequently, it can be concluded that utilizing the surrounding environment as a learning resource through the JAS-based PAIKEM approach effectively enhances the learning outcomes of 7th-grade students at SMP Negeri 4 Langowan regarding environmental pollution

Abstract

This study aims to apply the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) cooperative learning model on the material of the human circulatory system to the learning outcomes of Biology students in class XI IPA 1 at SMA N 1 Remboken in the 2021/2022 academic year. This research is a type of class action research (PTK). The average value of teaching completeness in cycle I obtained from Xl IPA 1 class students with the Team Assisted Individualization teaching model was 41,66% and in cycle II it progressed with an average completeness value of 83,33%. In the results of the research that has been carried out, it is concluded that the implementation of Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) can improve student learning outcomes on the material taught as seen from the results of the evaluation of students in cycle II, an increase of 83,33% has met the standard of completeness from cycle I

Abstract

This research is motivated by the occurrence of various difficulties in the learning process, namely teachers have not used a variety of learning methods according to students' learning styles so that students' interest in learning is still lacking. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The data sources in the study were outstanding biology students in class XI. The sources in the study were 3 outstanding students who obtained the highest scores in Biology subjects in Class XI A-XI G of SMA Negeri 3 Manado. Based on the data obtained through research and data validity tests using data triangulation, it can be concluded from the results of the study which show that outstanding students in Biology subjects in Class XI A-XI G of SMA Negeri 3 Manado have a combined learning style of visual, auditory and kinesthetic (VAK). However, among these learning styles, the most dominant is the kinesthetic learning style, from 21 students it was found that 3 students had a tendency towards a visual learning style, 5 students had a tendency towards an auditory learning style, 10 students had a tendency towards a kinesthetic learning style and 3 students had a combination of learning styles, namely: 1 student had a visual kinesthetic learning style, 1 student had an auditory kinesthetic learning style, and 1 student had a visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning style.

Abstract

The development of media as a learning resource in learning has a very close correlation with technology. E-modules are suitable media for use in project based learning strategy learning. This study aims to develop learning media in the form of e-modules with mangrove biodiversity material with a practical mapalus strategy to use. The development model used in this study is ADDIE with 5 stages, namely the analysis stage, design stage, development stage, implementation stage, and evaluation stage. The results of the media expert validation obtained 91% with a very feasible category, the validation of material experts obtained 85,3% with a very feasible category, the assessment of biology teachers obtained 90% with a very feasible category and the results of the questionnaire obtained from students 91% with a very feasible category which means that the media developed is feasible to use as a medium in learning.
