Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa, aktifitas siswa, kemampuan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran, dan respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media komik melalui pendekatan matematika realistik pada materi pecahan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas. Tahapan penelitian tindakan kelas yaitu rencana, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi dengan subjek penelitian yaitu seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Ibnu Khaldun Banda Aceh. Selanjutnya data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, tes, dan angket yang dianalisis dengan menggunakan persentase dan skala Likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) hasil belajar siswa secara klasikal 86,8% tuntas; (2) aktivitas siswa selama pembelajaran dengan pendekatan matematika realistik pada materi operasi penjumlahan pecahan dalam katagori aktif; (3) kemampuan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran dalam kategori baik; dan (4) respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran dengan pendekatan matematika realistik pada materi operasi penjumlahan pecahan dalam kategori sangat baik.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the distractor on multiple choice tests to detect the students’ errors and the types of errors students made in solving math problems. This research is a descriptive qualitative study which research subjects were students of class IX MTsN Model Banda Aceh that consisted of 36 students, then three students were selected as subjects to be interviewed about mastery and mistakes made when completing math problems. Data were collected through tests and interviews which validity was used to test the credibility of the data by means of triangulation. Data analysis consisted of the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that: 1) A good distractor on multiple choice tests had been completed such as a description test question for each answer option chosen by the students was very effective for detecting students’ errors in solving mathematics problems, in which 17.1% of students incorrectly applied mathematical concepts , 3.7% of students made mistakes due to lack of accuracy or error, 1.2% of students misunderstood the problem, and 4.7% of students did not make a solution, but only guessed from the ten questions given. 2) Conceptual errors made by the three subjects (MAH, BSR, and PES) were errors in analyzing the combined area of space and errors in algebraic factorization. Errors in understanding and applying the difference formula were only done by the subject MAH, errors in determining the square root of a number were only done by the subject BSR, and errors in squaring a number were only done by the subject PES. While procedural errors due to lack of thoroughness or error in substituting a value were carried out by subject MAH and PES, errors due to the inability to manipulate steps to solve a problem were only carried out by the subject MAH, and errors in writing the final results were only done by the BSR subject.

Abstract

Nilai rata-rata nasional untuk Ujian Nasional Berbasis Komputer (UNBK) matematika tingkat SMP/MTs tiga tahun terakhir (2017, 2018, dan 2019, di mana tahun 2020, 2021, dan 2022 UNBK ditiadakan) masih berkisar 50 ke bawah yang mengindikasikan bahwa kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa masih rendah. Sedangkan Habits of Mind (HoM) matematis adalah salah satu kemampuan afektif yang merupakan faktor pendukung keberhasilan siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh crossword puzzle matematika terhadap kemampuan pemahaman matematis dan tingkat habits of mind matematis siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan mix methods dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas IX MTsN Model  Banda Aceh. Sedangkan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan simple random sampling, sehingga siswa kelas IX-2 terpilih sebagai sampel. Selanjutnya data dikumpulkan melalui tes kemampuan pemahaman matematis dan angket HoM matematis yang telah divalidasi isi dan konstruk oleh pakar, kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji-t melalui SPSS dan skala Likert. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa: (1) terdapat pengaruh crossword puzzle matematika terhadap kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa; dan (2) tingkat Habits of Mind (HoM) matematis siswa setelah mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media crossword puzzle matematika dalam kategori sangat baik. Media crossword puzzle matematika tidak hanya dapat didesain dengan menggunakan butir pertanyaan-pertanyaan, namun dapat juga didesain dalam bentuk butir gambar, seperti gambar bidang datar, bangun ruang, dan lainnya.

Community service about counting training using Jarimatika can make children more interesting in counting, so that mathematics in everyday life is very fun. Abstract

This community service program aims to teach the Islamic studies to the children with more interesting techniques, so that the children will have more understanding to the material given, this program conducted in Lambirah Village. One of well-known techniques that mostly apply is Playing, Singing and Telling method. This program conducted with some stages; providing the materials to the children, followed by some trainings dan discussion with the audience. Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of microteaching on the anxiety of prospective teachers in the learning process at University of Muhammadiyah Aceh. This study employs a mixed-methods approach, encompassing both quantitative and qualitative methods. The population of this research consists of students from the Faculty of Islamic Studies at University of Muhammadiyah Aceh, academic year of 2021, who were taking the microteaching course, with a sample size of 20 students. The data collection techniques used included questionnaires and interviews. The data analysis technique used to answer the research questions were normality, linearity and linear regression tests. The results of the study showed that microteaching learning was very meaningful for prospective teacher students in overcoming and reducing their anxiety levels in preparing to teach in front of the class with a strong correlation level and a determination coefficient of 43.2%. This indicates that the microteaching learning variable's ability to influence the anxiety variable of prospective teacher students is 43.2%. The results of this study indicated that there is an effect of microteaching on the anxiety of prospective teachers in the learning process at University of Muhammadiyah Aceh. Furthemore, the feedback from the lecturer and the students helped the performer to deal with the anxiety for the upcoming teaching performance

Abstract

Cloth waste takes 20 to 30 years to decompose. The goal that is expected to be obtained through this research is to utilize fabric waste by making patchwork in the form of square and rectangular geometric shapes. The target of this service is the students of the Banda Aceh Muhammadiyah support house. The method that will be used in this community service activity as a solution to problems in this service is to adopt action research steps which consist of four stages, namely planning, implementing observation and reflection. The results of this service are (1) Participants succeeded in learning and spreading patchwork making independently with the help of the modules and pocketbooks provided (2) Observation results showed that most of the participants were able to process cloth waste into useful products, so this activity only needed carried out in one cycle because the expected target has been achievedKeywords: Waste Fabric, Patchwork, Square, Rectangle

Abstract

Mathematical Communication Skills (MCS) is not only a tool to convey mathematical ideas, but also an important part of the mathematics learning process. In fact, students' MCS is still very low and needs further action, so an alternative is needed that can develop better students' MCS. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in students' MCS after the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model was applied. The research method used was a mixed method with concurrent triangulation design. Samples were taken using random sampling techniques from the total population of all students in class X MAN 1 Aceh Barat and students in class X MIA-6 were selected as research samples. Data were collected through tests and interviews which were then analyzed using normalized N-Gain and qualitatively. The results of the study found that the overall increase in students' MCS was in the medium and low categories, however, the increase in all indicators of students' MCS was quite good, where (1) students were able to communicate mathematical thinking coherently and clearly, (2) were able to use mathematical language to express mathematical ideas correctly, but some students made mistakes when making mathematical models, (3) were able to organize and consolidate mathematical thinking through communication, although some students were still confused about the steps to solve it, and (4) were able to analyze and evaluate mathematical thinking and strategies used by others. However, some students were only able to analyze and were less able to evaluate mathematical thinking and strategies used by others. Overall, students have had a good MCS.

Abstract

Kompresor udara merupakan salah satu peralatan vital dalam sistem pendukung operasi kapal, karena dapat menghasilkan udara bertekanan yang dapat digunakan sebagai udara start pada mesin induk dan mesin bantu serta juga digunakan untuk service lainnya. Namun, dalam pengoperasiannya terkadang ditemui beberapa masalah seperti tidak mengalirnya pendingin air tawar pada intercooler main air compressor sehingga pendinginan tidak maksimal dan terjadi over heat pada cylinder compressor yang mengakibatkan pengoperasian kompresor tiba-tiba berhenti dan tekanan udara pada air reservoir menurun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor penyebab dan upaya mengatasi tidak mengalirnya pendingin air tawar pada intercooler main air compressor di KMP. Mutiara Ferindo II. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriftif dengan subjek penelitian adalah masinis di KMP. Mutiara Ferindo II. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara secara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi yang selanjutnya dianalisis dengan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil yang didapatkan bahwa faktor penyebab tidak mengalirnya pendingin air tawar pada intercoler main air compressor karena kerusakan packing pada kepala cylinder, kerusakan katup compresor, tekanan jacket pump terlalu tinggi, dan keroposnya pipa jacket cooling. Upaya untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut supaya optimal dengan melakukan penggantian piston, melakukan penggantian packing dan memilih bahan packing sesuai dengan spesifikasinya, serta pengawasan atau penggantian pipa jacket cooling dengan yang baru. Perawatan dan perbaikan terhadap semua komponen kompresor dilakukan sesuai dengan manual book untuk mencegah terjadi kerusakan dan melakukan penggantian komponen pada kompresor sesuai jam kerja kompresor

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan pembuatan abon ikan kepada masyarakat Pesisir khususnya ibu rumah tangga pesisir di Desa Alue Mie Lamno sebagai penguatan ekonomi masyarakat. Salah satu potensi besar dalam mengoptimalkan hasil laut adalah melalui diversifikasi produk agromaritim, yang menggabungkan potensi sumber daya alam perikanan dengan produk olahan berbasis agromaritim. Produk Pengolahan ini salah satunya adalah pengolahan ikan menjadi produk yang lebih tahan lama dan mudah dipasarkan, seperti abon ikan. Abon ikan merupakan produk olahan yang memiliki nilai ekonomis tinggi dan dapat meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan meliputi ceramah ataupun penjelasan singkat terakit pembuatan abon, demonstrasi, dan praktik langsung. Hasil dari pelatihan menunjukkan beberapa manfaat yaitu dalam peningkatan keterampilan peserta dan potensi pengembangan usaha abon ikan sebagai sumber pendapatan alternative yang sebelumnya 30% setelah dilakukan praktik langsung pembuatan abon ikan keterampilan masyarakat pesisir meningkat menjadi 80%
