Abstract

Lesson Study for Learning Community (LSLC) contains two terminologies underpinning one another. There are many difficult challenges when the plan to create LSLC surfaces. Therefore, strong motivation and precise implementation strategies are of urgency. One of the ways is by developing networking of LSLC between universities and partner schools. The LSLC program will become powerful when it is done collaboratively in a form of strong partnership connected by networks. Writing this article aims to describe strategies for establishing networking with partner schools for implementing lesson study in Indonesia. This review article uses literature comparison study methods and use content analysis. In order for LSLC to manifest and become successful, resourcing and utilizing the partnership with schools are required. In a partnership with schools in order to implement LSLC, both parties must share the same need, which is facing the challenge with the willingness to cooperate for solving the problem. Cooperation with partner schools needs to be nurtured to become networking so that the benefits and the spirit of cooperation in solving problem double fold. Networking with partner schools can be implemented and can function well when the management of this networking conforms to shared needs, nurtures cooperation and mutual respect, gives and takes equally, and also promotes fair acceptance, support, independence, and discipline.

Abstract

PERBEDAAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN OPEN INQUIRY  DAN GUIDED INQUIRY BERDASARKAN  KEMANDIRIAN BELAJAR DAN BERFIKIR TINGKAT TINGGI PADA MATA PELAJARAN BIOLOGI KELAS 11 MAN TEMPURSARI – NGAWI   Novita Adiqka Putri1, Nurwidodo1, Yuni Pantiwati 1 1Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universtias Muhammadiyah Malang, e-mail : nurwidodo88@yahoo.com   ABSTRACT Based on PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment) data which PISA is international studied about reading, math, and science literacy students achievement attained the age of 15 giving the result. In 2006 at Indonesia that students answer composition indicated lower understanding toward basic of science concepts (students could not interpret the data, explain casual relationship, solve the problems), limited expressing in mind, had lower scientific logical, lower ability toward basic of science concept and connection toward the surrounding facts. It is supported with lower teacher competency data and the usage of un-variation learning model. In that case, it is needed an learning model to solve the problem, one of learning model that can be used is Open Inquiry and Guided inquiry. In this present study, researcher used true-experiment by using simple random sampling technique. The purposes of this study are; (1) to know the differences study between Open Inquiry and Guided inquiry learning model, (2) to know the differences higher order thinking between Open Inquiry and Guided inquiry learning model. This research was hold in XI Science Class MAN TempursariNgawi. Independent Learningdata obtained based on temporary questionnaires, higher order thinking obtained by essay questions. The data analysis used by using one way Anova test. The result of this study showed that  (1) Ftest>Ftable , 5.805 > 4.07till the using of learning model give different result toward independent learning, (2)Ftest>Ftable, 4.374 > 4.07till the using of learning model give different result toward higher order thinking skill.   Key words: Inquiry, Open Inquiry, Guided inquiry, Independent Learning, Higher Order Thinking Skill.

Abstract

Terdapat kesenjangan antara harapan dan kenyataan pada prestasi belajar mata pelajaran MIPA siswa kelas X antara siswa Reguler dengan siswa kelas Akselerasi. Ada anggapan atau kecendrungan bahwa prestasi belajar mata pelejaran MIPA siswa Reguler lebih rendah daripada siswa Akselerasi. Peneliti ingin melihat keadaan sesungguhnya di lapangan bagaimana prestasi mata pelajaran MIPA kelas X antara siswa Reguler dan siswa Akselerasi di SMA Negeri 3 Malang. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu (1) Untuk mengetahui perbedaan prestasi belajar mata pelajaran MIPA antara siswa kelas Reguler dan siswa Akselerasi di SMA Negeri 3 Malang. (2) Untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap prestasi siswa kelas regular dengan siswa kelas akselerasi di SMA Negeri 3 Malang. Manfaat penelitian ini (1) Manfaat teoritis dari penelitian ini adalah dapat diketahui faktor-faktor apa sajakah yang berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar MIPA.(2) Untu memberikan masukan kepada sekolah-sekolah tentang system pendidikan yang ada. Populasi penelitian adalah semua siswa kelas Reguler dan Akselerasi, sedang sampel penelitian yang digunakan adalah siswa kelas X1 program Reguler dengan siswa kela X program Akselerasi, Penelitian ini di laksanakan di SMA Negeri 3 Malang. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah uji-t pada dua sampel bebas dan analisis regresi linear berganda. Dari hasil analisis data didapatkan hasil (1) nilai t-hitung < t-tabel pada taraf signifikasi 0,05 sehingga Ho diterima, Ha ditolak yang berarti terdapat perbedaan yang tidak signifikan antara rata-rata nilai MIPA siswa Reguler dengan siswa Akselerasi. (2) Dari hasil analisis regresi linier berganda didapatkan hasil nilai F- hit>nilai F-tabel pada taraf signifikasi 0,05 maka variable yang diteliti yaitu waktu yang dicurahkan untuk belajar, buku pelajaran MIPA yang dimiliki, Waktu untuk kegiatan selain belajar di sekolah berpengaruh secara nyata terhadap prestasi belajat mata pelajaran MIPA.

Abstract

PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA BERBASIS MULTIMEDIA INTERAKTIF UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN SISWA MAN 2 BATU MATERI KINGDOM ANIMALIA   Feni Nur’aini1, Lise Chamisijatin1, Nurwidodo1             1Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universtias Muhammadiyah Malang, e-mail : lise_chin@yahoo.com   ABSTRACT   Learning biology plays an important role in the educational process as well as the development of technology, because biology has an effort for human to generate interest in science and technology development.Various issues that arise in school in biology learning materials associated with the Kingdom Animalia and the material is very much difficult for students to understand and time limitations in the learning process. So there should be used development of teaching media to overcome this. The purpose of this study are: (1) to know the effectiveness of the implementation of teaching media development, (2) to know the level of students understanding by using the application of teaching media development. This type of research is development research or Research and Development (R & D). the development used is based on the development steps from Borg & Gall (1983) modified from Sukmadinata (2010) which includes three steps, namely: preliminary study, development and validation. To determine the effectiveness of the implementation of teaching media development is done by giving the questionnaire to students. To determine the level of students understanding performed pretest and posttest. The research was conducted on 28 March to 29 September 2013 at MAN 2 Batu Malang. The results of this development in the form of teaching media product Biology that has been through some trials and revisions of the experts and students.  Based on the feasibility of media experts, subject matter experts, and students teaching media are stated that it is   very viable and effective used in learning. Based on the experimental test on class treatment there was an increasing students understanding of the material of the Kingdom Animalia  that is the average value before using the media (pretest) increased from 41.60 to 90.3 after using the media (posttest), while the control class average value before reading textbooks (pretest) increased from 48.80 to 68.60 (posttest) after reading the textbooks. Thus it can be stated that teacing media based interaktive multimedia is  more effective in improving students understanding of X class of MAN 2 Malang on the Kingdom Animalia subject.   Kata kunci: Animalia kingdom, learning of media, interactive multimedia

Abstract

Budidaya rumput laut di Kepulauan Sapeken Kabupaten Sumenep sangat potensial untu dilakukan, namun pada kenyataannya para nelayan/petani masih mengalami banyak kendala, sehingga aktivitas tersebut belum memiliki kontribusi bagi peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Tim telah melakukan kegiatan pengabdian di Kepulauan Sapeken Kabupaten Sumenep, sehingga artikel ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan implementasi pendampingan masyarakat dalam budidaya rumput laut di daerah tersebut. Subjek dalam pengabdian adalah 2 kelompok tani rumput laut (masing-masing terdiri atas 10 orang pembudidaya).  Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan selama delapan bulan. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah survey, demonstrasi, dan praktek langusng, dan evaluasi. Keterlaksanaan atau keberhasilan pengabdian didasarkan pada terpenuhinya indikator-indikator proses pengabdian dan produk yang dihasilkan dalam pengabdian, Kegiatan pengabdian dievaluasi dalam hal proses dan akhir kegiatan. Kegiatan pengabdian dianggap telah berhasil bila persentase keterlibatan dan keaktifan masyarakat mencapai ≥75%, masyarakat mampu melakukan budidaya. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat mitra sangat antusias terlibat, 100% terlibat dalam budidaya, da nada peningkatan produksi budidaya rumput laut. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengabdian masyarakat telah diimplementasikan sesuai dengan rencana.

Abstract

Efforts to build pro-environment behavior have been strengthened by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry through Adiwiyata green school program. This current study aimed at describing the patterns of building pro-environmental behavior among school community of Adiwiyata green school in Malang City. This study was conducted by means of descriptive design. The data were collected using in-depth interview, directed observation, and documentation as well as triangulation. The data were analyzed descriptively by means of content analysis. Hereafter, this study has shown that SMAN 7 Malang was and is running a program of pro-environmental behavior building offered to all school community, to enhance the knowledge, to fossilize the behavior, and to implement pro-environmental behavior, with the concrete support from the school management and teachers. The program was run sustainably and supported by education authorities along with pro-environmental communities. To sum up, the patterns of building pro-environmental behavior involved all the school community, to cover such aspects as knowledge enhancement, behavior fossilizing, and pro-environmental behavior reinforcement through a sustainable collaboration with pro-environmental communities. Therefore, it is suggested that Adiwiyata green school keep intensifying its commitment and be consistent in building sustainable pro-environmental behavior to amplify a long-term memory of its school community.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian terkait dengan ramuan Madura, yang berorientasi pada terciptanya kemandirian masyarakat, sebagai hasil introduksi pengetahuan dan teknoligi tepat guna (TTG) sangat diperlukan. Artikel ini bertujuan menganalisis implementasi pemanfaatan teknologi tepat guna berbasis solar cell untuk mengatasi permasalahan IRT Ramuan Madura di Kabupaten Sumenep. Mitra PPTTG ini, yaitu Kelompok Ramuan Madura ?Gilang Emas Group? dan Kelompok Ramuan Madura ?Maju Jaya?. Instrumen kegiatan meliputi materi presentasi, produk, alat dokumentasi, buku catatan, dan instrumen evaluasi. Metode pengabdian adalah survey, demonstrasi, dan praktek langsung, dan evaluasi. Data dikumpulkan dengan terlibat langsung dalam aktivitas mitra. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Kegiatan dianggap berhasil bila mitra mahir menggunakan TTG, keterlibatan dan keaktifan mitra ?75%, ada peningkatan kuantitas dan kualitas produk, serta ada peningkatan omzet. Berbagai kegiatan dilakukan pengabdi, yaitu koordinasi dan konsolidasi tim, serta penyamaan persepsi dengan mitra, pendesainan, penyiapan, dan pembuatan, penyerahan TTG, pelatihan, dan pemanfaatan TTG oleh mitra, serta monitoring dan evaluasi. Dpat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian telah dilaksanakan dengan sangat baik, sesuai dengan target yang telah ditetapkan.  Kata Kunci: Ramuan Madura, ramuan tradisional,  Kabupaten Sumenep, teknologi tepat guna

Abstract

Metacognitive awareness has been considered as one of the factors within students that determines learning success. It can be developed through a hybrid learning approach. The purpose of this quantitative research was to examine the metacognitive awareness profile of students with high-academic ability in hybrid learning implementation. The subjects of this study were the students of XI-Science class of state senior high school of Malang. The Metacognitive Awareness Inventory was used as the data collection instrument, while descriptive statistics and Pearson Product-Moment were chosen as the data analysis techniques. The results of the study informed that the students? metacognitive awareness was divided into four categories, i.e. very good (9%), good (43%), enough (46%), and very low (2%). The three components of metacognitive awareness were classified as "enough", while the five components of students were categorized as "good". The eight metacognition components showed significant correlations each other (r > 0.41, n = 55, p < 0.01). It can be concluded that the majority of students? metacognitive awareness was satisfactory even though there were a small proportion of students whose metacognitive awareness was not good.

Abstract

Lingkungan SMAN 3 Malang memiliki konsep taman vertikal, sehingga cocok digunakan tempat pembelajaran outdoor learning dan pembelajaran langsung. Hasil observasi menunjukkan pemanfaatan tanaman untuk media pembelajaran belum optimal. Belum optimalnya disebabkan belum adanya informasi nama ilmiah, deskripsi, dan hubungan kekerabatan tumbuhan. Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka perlu dilakukan inovasi pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan penerapan pembelajaran klasifikasi kladogram dengan metode taksimetri: 1) pemanfaatan tanaman tillandsia & neoregelia untuk sumber belajar klasifikasi & kladogram tanaman, 2) jumlah spesies tillandsia & neoregelia, 3) hubungan kekerabatan tanaman tillandsia & neoregelia. Penelitian ini merupakan deskriptif dengan metode survey, melalui pembelajaran klasifikasi & kladogram dengan taksimetri. Teknik analisis data secara deskriptif yaitu identifikasi jenis-jenis tumbuhan menggunakan gambar dan buku kunci determinasi (taksimetri). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa melalui pembelajaran klasifikasi kladogram dengan metode taksimetri diperoleh data sebagai berikut 1) pemanfaatan tanaman dengan ciri morfologi serta persamaan dan perbedaannya menjadi sumber belajar klasifikasi tumbuhan & pembuatan kladogram berlangsung dengan efektif dimana ditunjukkan dengan siswa terampil dalam melakukan klasifikasi tanaman yang ada di lingkungan sekolah dan terampil membuat kladogram dari kegiatan klasifikasi, 2) terdapat 2 spesies tillandsia yaitu Tillandsia lonantha & Tillandsia cyanea serta terdapat 1 spesies neoregelia yaitu Neoregelia spectabilis, 3) hubungan kekerabatannya tanaman tersebut satu family yaitu Bromeliaceae.

Abstract

This assistance aims to improve the quality of science learning in MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Malang. This assistance is motivated by the limitations of LS assistance services from tertiary institutions to elementary and secondary schools. Whereas learning innovations such as LS really need to be disseminated, maintained, strengthened, and improved in their field implementation so that the achievement of quality in learning is guaranteed. Assistance is carried out with the method of socialization, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and follow-up. Assistance was followed by a group of science teachers in Matsamutu and was conducted for one semester. The results of the mentoring, the socialization phase included the Matsamutu LS team in the MEPS, conducted socialization and assisted teachers in preparing lesson plans for 2 lessons, carried out an open plan with the model teacher from the school, implemented learning reflections and documented the results of the mentoring implementation and compiled collaborative publication articles. . It can be concluded that the assistance has provided benefits in increasing understanding of the procedures, principles of implementation, and scientific work resulting from the implementation of the LS
