Abstract

This articel purpose of to describe peer tutors method in learning local dance on the extracurricular at SMA Negeri 1 Lubuk Alung. Therefore, the researcher uses the method of descriptive qualitative research to describe this research. The data of this research is the development of student activity when the extracurricular project goes on. The source of this research is the direct observation that the researcher does herself. The data was collected by using observational student activity format and the documentation of students’ learning activity. The finding of this research is that the students understand the explanation that come from their peers rather than the explanation given by the teacher. Therefore, peer tutor is more effectively done in the learning processor traditional dance in SMA Negeri 1 Lubuk Alung. Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the evaluation model used by teachers in teaching dance at SMA Negeri 2 Padang. This research described the effectiveness of evaluation model that is implemented in learning dance. This qualitative research used descriptive analysis, which seeks to create a description on the actual situation in accordance with the reality. Data were taken from 3 meetings of learning process. The sample in this study was the dance teacher SMAN 2 Padang and 30 students of XI IPA 1. Techniques of data collection were observation and interviews. The findings of the study shows that the evaluation model used by teachers in teaching dance is a congruence with evaluation model (appropriate), because in Teaching and Learning processes are in accordance with the purpose of learning dance, learning experience, and learning outcomes of the students. The instruments to measure students’ achievement were practice tests and theory mastery test. Meanwhile, students’ learning outcomes are seen from three aspects: cognitive, affective and psychomotor. Based on the data that has been collected, the effectiveness of evaluation model can be seen from the correspondence between the learning objectives to understand all the material in the lesson plans with students’ learning outcomes is very significant.

Abstract

This article aimed to reveal and describe students' motivation towards dance self-development activities in SMP-SDI Silungkang. The type of this research was qualitative research with descriptive methods. The objects in the study were 22 female students and 1 male of class VII and VIII in odd semester 2018/2019 academic year. All of the objects participated self-development. The instruments used in this study were the researchers herself and free interviews. The types of data in this research were primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of library research, observation, interviews, and documentation. The techniques of data analysis were carried out by the steps of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the motivation of students towards the self-development activities of dance in SMP of Islamic Business School (SDI) Silungkang was still quite good and the implementation of self-development in dance was running well. This school was still facing obstacles in developing dance self-development activities, such as infrastructures that were not yet complete. However, there were also several types of rewards given by the teacher to motivate students in the self-development activities. Thus, it was concluded that students 'motivation towards the self-development activities of dance in SMP of Islamic Trading School (SDI) Silungkang is quite good and needed some improvement in terms of students' external motivation, especially in the aspects of facilities and infrastructures

Abstract

This article aims to describe a case study in the implementation of cultural arts curriculum of KTSP in MAN 2 Koto Baru Solok. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive method. Object of research is the study of dance in MAN 2 Koto Baru, data were collected through interviews, literature study and direct observation. Data analysis was performed with phenomenology analysis and relationship between components. The results showed, the cases that occurred in KTSP curriculum implementation. Which one KTSP curriculum is not implemented fully in MAN 2 Koto Baru, so some elements like dance practice can not function . This is influenced by the school's policy that based on Islam. This means that the KTSP curriculum be implemented incomplete. On the other hand, MAN 2 Koto Baru which is a school of DEPAG supervision, and neither has the cultural arts curriculum. Therefore, the cultural arts curriculum implementation of KTSP into a case in MAN 2 Koto Baru.

Abstract

AbstractThis Article was aimped to describe and analyze of ceremonial structure and function of Asyeik dance on treatmen in Dusun Empih Kecamatan Sungai Bungkal Kota Sungai Penuh. Type of this study was qualitative with descriptive method. Instrument in this study was the researcher. Type of data were both primary and secondary. Technique of collecting data were done by using library research, observation, interview, documentation and data analysis. Result of this study showed that performance of Asyeik dance on treatmen could be seen the relationship between it’s part namely mintak aroh, mulua kejea, manggoa atau nyerau, merancoah limao, tango nitai, nyembuah, penampilan tari asyeik, masoak bumoi, mageh hulu balea makoa. The performance of this had dominant elements where each other has symbiotic relationship. The elements were a dancer, bilan salih, motion, floor pattern, custom and music. Asyeik dance was used as a tool of treatmen ritual in Dusun Empih Kecamatan Sungai Bungkal Kota Sungai Penuh to healed the society who suffered an extreme pain which could not be healed by medical treatmen. If the sufferer did not heal sooner, then this dance would be held as a medium of treatmen. Keywords:    Structure, Ceremony and Function, Performance of Asyeik Dance

Abstract

Abstract This article aims to discover and describe the Interest of students Towards the art of dance in Dance in JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL extracurricular activities Development Laboratory research using the UNP. qualitative method with descriptive analysis approach. The object of this research is the students who follow the Extracurricular dance in JUNIOR Development Laboratory UNP totalling 18 people. Research instrument this is a researcher as observer and tools in accordance with observation sheets. The technique of data collection on penilitian this is with the study of librarianship, documentation, observation, and then processed using the formula percentages and rates close to the respondent. The results showed that the interest of students towards extracurricular dance belongs to the medium. It is obtained from the results of the calculations of the indicator by using the observation sheets feeling pleased with the amount of percentage of 70.3% 55.5%, interest, attention to 62.9%, 75.9% engagement, curiosity 46.2% and 33.3% of the needs. So the summation of the data obtained through observation is 57.4%.Keywords: Interest students, dance art, extracurricular activities

Abstract

Abstract This article aimed to explaining student's motivation infollowing dancing activities as their self-development activities in SD Negeri 09 Surau Gadang Nanggalo Padang. The type of this research was descriptive qualitative research. The data ware collected from observation, interviews, and literature review.  The data were analyzed byusing the phenomenology. The findings indicated that the students weremotivated enoughi following the dancing activiti as their self-development activities. It was seenfromstudents’ enthuseiastic and earnest responseabout theactivities. Most studentsexpressedtheir excitementandwillingness tofollowthe activities.It could be councluded that the students following the dancing activities were those who cared for the dance art itself.

Abstract

AbstractThis study was aimped to analyze and describe the extracurricular implementation of dance art activity in SMA INS Kayutanam. Type of this study was qualitative with analytical descriptive method. The study object was implementation of dance art activity in SMA INS Kayutanam which were done by 5 students of class IX. Type of data in this study were both primary and secondary, and it used instrument namely the researcher. Technique of data collection was using library research. Observation, interview and documentation. Result of this study showed that the extracurricular implementation of dance art in SMA INS Kayutanam at class XI which was held as much as six times of meeting with using expositoric and Heuristic Strategy were able to improve students motion technique. In the first, second and third meeting, teachers combined both teachers model expositoric and students model expositoric. In the fourth, fifth and the last meeting, teachers Heuristic strategy with combined three models namely pure model, guided model, dan modifed model. With the strategies, teachers were able to manage the extracurricular implementation of dance art well and grew capability of students motion technique in dancing. Keywords: Extracurricular, Expositoric Strategy, Heuristic Strategy

Abstract

Abstract This article aims to reveal and describe the dance movement material selection can improve male student interest in self-development activities. This type of research is qualitative research. This research instrument is the researchers themselves with the respondent that in SMP 29 Padang, another research data collected using field notes, observations were observed by peers. Research data collection is done by literature study, observation, interviews and documentation. Data were analyzed by percentage formula. From the research results can be explained that before the teacher of Arts and Culture using election material appropriate dance movement in the learning process of male students seem indifferent in receiving dance. After the teacher of using election material Cultural Arts dance right in the process of self-development activities of interest of male students at SMPN 29 Padang on particular subjects Cultural Arts Dance increases. At the time of school hours students will do the teachers demonstrated motion, it can be seen from the meetings I to V desire (36%), concern (43%), and participation (38%) of students has been an increase, in this case the observation of increasing student interest men enter into the good category (66.7%)   Keywords: Increasing interest in boys, the selection of materials, self-development.

Abstract

Abstract This research was aimed at revealing and documenting the presentation of Silek Galombang in Nagari Pagaruyung Kecamatan Tanjung Emas Kabupaten Tanah Datar which was performed in welcoming the official guests. This was a qualitative research which used descriptive method. In collecting the data, the researcher observed the process of welcoming the guests in Istano Silinduang Bulan Pagaruyung. Silek Galombang is a kind of arts performances which applies self-defense (silat) arts movements performed by 8 men mastering silek and 2 men carrying carano. The performance was preceded by kata sambah and batagua accompanied by some musical instruments including calenang, gandang, bansi and sarunai. The costumes worn by anak silek were baju taluak balango, celana guntiang ampek hitam, deta batik hitam and sesampiang. The men bringing the carano wore black and blue taluak balango suit and red sesampiang. Silek Galombang was performed in a group with rampak simultan and straight-line floor pattern. This was done in a field which was closed by delivering batagua words and sowing beras kuning.   Kata kunci : Silek Galombang, laki-laki, carano, kata sambah, bataguah
