This article aimed to explain and describe about the improvement of learning the dance art in students by using peer tutor method in class XI IPS 1 SMA Pertiwi 2 Padang. The type of this research was classroom action research which was conducted as much as 2 cycles. The subject was the students of grade XI IPS 1 SMA Pertiwi 2 Padang which amounted to 23 people. The data were collected by using observation sheets of the skills as well as documentation for the research. The results of this research showed that learning the art of dance using peer tutor method succeeded to improve the students’ learning outcomes at class XI IPS 1 SMA Pertiwi 2 Padang. This was evidenced on improving students’ activities and student learning outcomes on cycle I and cycle II which increased primely. On cycle I, the overall student positive activities were 38,64% and student negative activities were 16,89%. While, on cycle II student positive activites were 63,03% and student negative activities were 11,58%. The overall of students’ learning outcomes on cycle 1 was 55,21, meanwhile on cycle II, it has been risen to 80,21. Thus, the use of peer tutor method to enhance the outcomes in learning dance art in class XI IPS 1 SMA Pertiwi 2 Padang has already achieved very well.

Abstract This article aimend at describing strategies which were used by teacher to develop students’ creativities at SMA Negeri Payakumbuh. The design of this research was qualitative. The method used was the descriptive method. The objects of this research were strategies applied by teachers in the learning process of dancing. The main instrument of the research was the researcher. The data were obtained from observation, interview, and literature review. They were analyzed by using the phenomenology technique. Based on the data analysis, it was found that there were variouseffective strategies in learning dancing such as giving lectures question and answer, providing the students with demonstration, and cooperative learning method. These strategies developed the students’ creativities well. It was seen from students’ creative imagination in developing the basic moves of Tari Rantak. Besides, the use of appropriate audio visual media also stimulated the students so that their learning motivation became higher as well as provided them with new experiences to advance the learning processes. AbstractThis article aims to explain the cause of his low-interest factor of students towards extracurricular activities 1 Junior High School dance in Padang Panjang. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive method. The object of the research was that students follow an extracurricular dance in SMP N 1 Padang Panjang. Instrument in this study is the researchers themselves by way of observation, documentation and interviews. The type of data in this study is the primary data and secondary data. Engineering data collection done by the library study, observation, documentation and interviews. The data has been collected, classified, diintrepresentasikan to avoid misinterpretation of data. The results showed that low cause factor of his interest in the activities of Esktrakurikuler students in Junior High School N 1 Padang Panjang there are 2 factors cause i.e. internal and external factors. Internal factors consist of desire, the attention and participation of external factors and consists of parents, coaches and facilities. The desires of the students in the following activities of the influential dance Estrakurikuler of these activities so that the stated desire of her low. Attention students in Extracurricular activities follow the Dance stated to have attention. Although there is still a small percentage of students who have not seriously followed the event. Participation of students extracurricular activities of dance graded fairly, although there are some students withdrew on the grounds there was les learning and there is no apparent reason.Keywords: Student Interest, implementation, Extracurricular Dance

This article aimed to describe the form of Dampeng Dance Presentation at a Traditional Wedding Ceremony in the Sub-District of Subulussalam Longkib, Aceh Singkil, by revealing the form and sequence of Dampeng dance at the Traditional Wedding Ceremony. The type of this research was qualitative using descriptive methods. The object of this research was the Form of Dampeng Dance Persentation at a Marriage Ceremony in the Sub-District of Longkit, Aceh Singkil. The types of data in this study were primary data and secondary data, with research instruments namely the researcher herself. Since the research was a library research, the techniques of data collection were observation, interviews and documentation. After collecting the data, the data was analyzed accurately and selected according to the needs and its relation to the issues discussed. The results showed that Dampeng dance was a traditional dance that grew and developed in the Longkib Subdistrict, Subulussalam. The form of Dampeng dance was a combination of the imitation of an eagle that is spinning overhead. The form of presentation of the Dampeng dance at this ceremony was a symbolic form, because it was a part of the conclusions in enlivening the wedding ceremony. Dampeng dance is a symbol of wedding ceremony and describes cooperation in social community. Besides a movement, Dampeng dance also conveys messages to the listener about the meaning of life, kindness, politeness, advice and caring for each other.

Abstract This article aims to reveal the increasing interest in student learning towards the learning dance arts through the use of audio-visual media in 7th-grade students SMP Negeri 1 Painan. This type of research was classroom action research. This research was conducted using two cycles; each cycle consisted of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Techniques of data collection were carried out by observation, documentation and test techniques. The data obtained in the study were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the learning of dance art in 7th-grade students SMP Negeri 1 Painan with Tari Piring (Dance by using glass plate) materials previously experienced a decrease in the value of KKM and learning interest from students. Recommendations from the results of the study where there was an increase in student interest per cycle as much as in the first cycle there was an increase of 28.13% and in the second cycle, there was an increase in interest by 27.03%. Overall, the effect of the teacher's actions using the audiovisual media has been quantitatively increasing at 55.16%. It can be seen that from 21 students who did not achieve the KKM score from the dance activity now there are only 4 students who have not achieved the KKM score, but the value continues to increase from its initial value. The impact of the actions of cultural arts teachers using audio-visual media has increased the attention, desire, and participation of students in participating in learning dance art in 7th-grade students SMP Negeri 1 Painan. AbstractThis article the aim to investigate the effect of implementing Learning Start with Question (LSQ) type of Active Learning model toward students’ learning outcome in learning Dance at SMA Negeri 14 Padang in academic year 2016-2017. This study was experimental research with the static group comparison design. The population of this study was 255 XI grade students of SMA Negeri 14 Padang registered in academic year 2016-2017. The sample was determined by using purposive sampling technique in which XI IPS3 was chosen as experimental class and XI IPS 1 was as control class. There were 32 students of each class. The instrument used was cognitive test. The result showed that there was significant difference between the implementation of Learning Start with Question and that of conventional method. The average score of experimental class (83.03) was higher than that of control class (76.78). It can be seen that tcount was 4.31 and ttable was 1.67. This result meant the hypothesis was accepted. Therefore, there was better effect of implementing Learning Start with Question than that of conventional method.Keywords: Influence, Learning Model, Learning outcomes.

AbstractThis article aims to describe the Teacher Efforts in Improving Student Creativity in Extracurricular of Dance Art at SMP Negeri 15 Padang. The type of research was qualitative with descriptive method. The technique of data collection was conducted through literature study, observation, interviews and documentation. Techniques of data analysis were collecting data, describing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the efforts of teachers in improving the students’ creativity in the Extracurricular of Dance Art at SMP Negeri 15 Padang with the planning of the selection of new dance material which was also supported by the use of media and more varied methods, has been running in accordance with the planned and has achieved the goals as expected. Although, there are still a few obstacles in the execution process of extracurricular activities of dance that is inadequate infrastructure. Based on the researcher observation, the extracurricular activity of dance art is run according to plan, because there has been an increasing students’ creativity. The students who could initially only imitate the dance movement exemplified by the teacher, have been able to develop the dance movement into new movements which are unique and interesting by using the group floor pattern according to their own creativity. Abstract This research aims to disclose and describe the existence of the Makan Sirih Offerings dance Neighborhood Junior High School in Buliang sub district of Batu Aji Batam.This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive method. The object of this research is the Makan Sirih Offerings dance Neighborhood Junior High School in Buliang sub district of Batu Aji Batam. The main instrument in this study the researcher himself, and assisted with the instruments supporting such as stationery, photo camera, handy-cam, cassette cd and pendrive. The type of data in this study is the primary data and secondary data. The techniques used in the collection of this data is the study of librarianship, observation, interview and documentation. Technique of data analysis was done with the steps, carrying out data display data or presentation of data, taking the conclusion/verification.The results showed that the Makan Sirih Offerings dance indeed existed in the Buliang Sub-district (kecamatan) Junior High School Batu Aji. The existence of the Makan Sirih Offerings dance Neighborhood Junior High School in Buliang sub-district of Aji Stone Batam survive from the early use of Buliang Village sub district Junior High School in Batu Aji so that it is now in the midst of people have started to become a culture for community Subdistricts of Buliang and can be accepted and recognized by the society of the village Buliang on the present. This article aims to improve the learning outcomes of dance through the Jigsaw learning method for the students of SMP 3 Solok. The type of research used is classroom action research. The instrument in this study was post test and the form of assessment consisted of two forms, they were knowledge (cognitive) and skill (psychomotor) tests. The types of data in this study were primary and secondary data. The technique of collecting data was done by doing the observation, test and documentation. The data were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative analysis. To see an increase in student learning outcomes was done by comparing the percentage of students' mastery in learning before and after receiving the action. The results of the study shows that the use of the Jigsaw method in learning dance can improve students learning activities and outcomes. The percentage of completeness of students learning outcomes in the cognitive increased in cycle 2, it is 97%. Whereas, the percentage of completeness of student learning outcomes only reached 70% in cycle 1. The results of learning (psychomotor) skills of students are also very good, seen from the percentage of completeness of students learning outcomes are increase from 56.6% in cycle 2 to 90%. Then, it can be concluded that the implementation of learning with the application of Jigsaw cooperative learning can improve outcomes and students learning activities.

Abstract This study includes all of the experiments penelitiaan draft only randomized control group design with sampling techniques used are Culster sampling. To get results on the cognitive learning to use the test results to learn, for the affective and psychomotor used observation sheet. The study's findings that student learning outcomes in the cognitive domain to obtain the experimental class average - average 80.82 while the control class has an average - average 70.79. Kata Kunci: Ranah Kognitif
