Abstract

Loneliness is a feeling that arises due to a lack of interpersonal relationships and is considered unsatisfactory. One way to divert loneliness is to use a cell phone. Excessive use of cell phones can cause Nomophobia. This study aimed to determine the relationship between loneliness and Nomophobia in migrant students in Banda Aceh. This study uses a quantitative approach with the product-moment correlation method. This research uses the loneliness scale, developed based on aspects of loneliness identified by Peplau and Perlman (1981), with a reliability coefficient of 0.962. Additionally, it employs the nomophobia scale, based on aspects of Nomophobia identified by Yildirim and Coreia (2014), which has a reliability coefficient of 0.923. This study's population was migrant students active at the Ar-Raniry State Islamic University and Syiah Kuala University. The sampling technique used in this research is quota sampling with a total sample of 200 respondents. The study found a correlation coefficient of r = 0.209 with p = 0.002, indicating a significant positive relationship between loneliness and Nomophobia among migrant students in Banda Aceh. This means that the higher the loneliness, the higher the Nomophobia experienced by migrant students in Banda Aceh. Vice versa, the lower the loneliness, the lower the Nomophobia experienced by migrant students in Banda Aceh.

Abstract

In early adulthood, individuals face a psychological developmental task of seeking and finding a potential life partner. During this stage, individuals may experience anxiety about marriage, as they transition from singlehood to becoming a husband or wife — a change that requires continuous adjustment throughout married life. When facing marriage, individuals often feel uncertain about what to do and how to prepare themselves. The lack of clarity about what will happen after marriage can lead to marital anxiety, which generally reflects concerns that one’s duties and responsibilities will increase or change after entering married life. The purpose of this study was to determine gender differences in marriage anxiety among emerging adults in Krueng Barona Jaya District, Aceh Besar Regency. This research employed a quantitative approach using a comparative method, with sampling conducted through the quota sampling technique. The study involved 150 emerging adults as participants. The instruments used were the Marriage Anxiety Scale and a gender questionnaire. The results showed a value of t = -2.775 and p = 0.007, indicating a significant difference in marriage anxiety between male and female emerging adults. The mean score for males was 92.53 (SD = 10.30), while for females it was 97.03 (SD = 5.6), showing that female emerging adults experience higher levels of marriage anxiety than males. Therefore, the research hypothesis was accepted.

Abstract

Kematangan emosi merupakan hasil dari perkembangan emosi yang sehat. Individu yang matang emosinya pasti mampu mengontrol diri dan mengungkapkan emosinya secara baik, berpikir objektif, tidak bersifat impulsif, dan bertanggungjawab. Adapun salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi kematangan emosi adalah sehatnya lingkungan keluarga yang ditandai dengan berfungsinya keluarga tersebut. Namun terdapat sejumlah faktor yang membuat keluarga menjadi tidak berfungsi optimal, diantaranya adalah tidak lengkapnya anggota keluarga. Keluarga tidak utuh memiliki pengaruh negatif bagi perkembangan emosi anak. Untuk itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara keberfungsian keluarga dengan kematangan emosi pada anak dari keluarga single parent di Kabupaten Bener Meriah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Sampel yang didapatkan berjumlah 85 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara keberfungsian keluarga dengan kematangan emosi pada anak dari keluarga single parent di Kabupaten Bener Meriah, dengan koefisien korelasi r = 0.431 dan nilai p = 0,000 (p < 0,05). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis dalam penelitian ini terbukti diterima, Artinya ada hubungan positif yang signifikan antara keberfungsian keluarga dengan kematangan emosi pada anak dari keluarga single parent di Kabupaten Bener Meriah.

Abstract

Sexual harassment has many negative impacts on the victims, both physically and psychologically. Women as victims of sexual harassment feel difficulties when they interact in social environment. The psychological impact on the victim will result in prolonged trauma and depression which can then lead to unhealthy attitudes such as insecurity, excessive fear, and disturbed mental conditions. For this reason, this study aimed to examine the effectiveness of resiliency training to improve family well-being among women victims of sexual violence in Aceh. The number of participants recruited were 7 women who have experienced sexual violence in PSAA Aceh. The research design used a one group pretest-posttest design and the data were collected using family well-being scale. The results of data analysis indicated that the provision of resiliency training did not have a significant contribution on increasing family well-being. This could be explained because the incidents of sexual violence experienced by the subjects have happened several years ago, so they have adapted to their families to the presence of children born from the sexual violence.

Abstract

Emosi merupakan salah satu hal yang berperan penting dalam kehidupan manusia karena ia akan memberi warna pada tingkah laku yang ditampilkan individu. Emosi ini biasanya akan timbul dalam konteks “interaksi” dan pada saat berinteraksi, dibutuhkan suatu kemampuan untuk membangun hubungan yang positif dengan individu lainnya. Kemampuan ini dikenal dengan istilah kecerdasan emosi. Salah satu bentuk pelatihan untuk mengembangkan kecerdasan emosi adalah dengan membuat program yang terstruktur melalui pelatihan regulasi emosi. Pelatihan ini terdiri dari lima sesi, yaitu: berkenalan dengan emosi, kenali dan kelola emosi diri, kenali dan pahami perasaan orang lain, berpikir positif, dan komunikasikan perasaanmu. Pelatihan regulasi emosi ini diberikan kepada 8 remaja yang sedang dalam proses rehabilitasi hukum di UPTD Rumoh Seujahtera Jroh Naguna Banda Aceh. Dari proses pelatihan ditemukan bahwa aspek emosi merupakan salah satu hal yang memegang peranan penting dalam kehidupan karena mewarnai kehidupan manusia, pengelolaan emosi dapat dipelajari dan dilatih dengan cara berinteraksi dengan orang lain, dan pelatihan regulasi emosi merupakan salah satu bentuk pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan untuk mengembangkan kecerdasan emosi.

Abstract

Attention which is achieved through the process of adapting to new conditions and information can be an issue for new students. Previous studies have suggested that listening to Quran recitation (murattal) can positively influence attention. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the effects of listening to Quran recitation on students’ attention. The research was conducted by designing a quasi-experiment with a non-randomized pre-test and post-test control groups. Besides this, the groups were divided into two, the experimental group and the control group. The data were collected from 20 new students of Ar-Raniry State Islamic University as a sample, who met the criteria of having healthy hearing conditions and obtained GPA > 3.50. The measuring instrument utilized in the study was the number range test of Weschler Intelligence Scale, while the treatment used was listening to Quran recitation. Then, the data was analyzed using a paired t-test to examine the difference in attention between the experimental group and the control group. The results showed that there was a difference in the average attention score between the experimental group of 11.70, and the control group of 8.80 with a significance level of 0.026 (P < 0,05). Thus, the findings of the study indicate that there is a significant difference in attention between the experimental group and the control group after listening to Quran recitation.
