Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji studi-studi tentang konflik antar kelompok dalam perspektif komunikasi konflik. Metode yang digunakan adalah kajian literatur dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Kajian ini menitikberatkan pada perkembangan studi tentang konflik antar kelompok dan tema-tema yang dipakai dalam studi komunikasi konflik antar kelompok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan:1) perkembangan studi konflik antar kelompok dalam perspektif komunikasi konflik cenderung stagnan pada periode 2003-2017; 2) tema yang muncul dalam komunikasi konflik antar kelompok adalah: (a)  komunikasi sebagai pencegahan konflik; (b) komunikasi sebagai penyelesaian konflik; (c) pengemasan pesan komunikasi melalui media; (d) proses komunikasi, dan (e) pola-pola komunikasi

Abstract

Accusations of hospitals that have taken Indiscipline’s actions on Covid-19 cases have many comments that’s appeared on social media like Twitter with the hashtag #BongkarMafiaCovidRS which reached 5,700 tweets. This study aims to examine the accusations of this issue, how the issue started and how to dismiss it. This research is a qualitative research using literature method. To complement the results of this study, the researcher also conducted interviews with several informants from medical personnel who worked in the hospital. Does the issue of coviding patients make the hospital's image worse? How is the hospital able to maintain the image of the hospital as a good health service facility amid accusations of coviding patients? The results of this study indicate that the developing issue is not based on facts, the hospital has clear SOPs and guidelines in carrying out covid-19 patient care. The hospital also conducts and implements customer communication to patients and patients' families before the procedure so that patients and families are well educated. Implementation of customer communication is one of the strategies that are believed to be able to maintain the hospital image and ward off accusations of the issue of coviding patients.

Abstract

Inovasi selama pandemi adalah sebuah keharusan bagi perusahaan. Hal ini juga berlaku bagi perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang jasa kebandarudaraan. Aplikasi Travelation merupakan inovasi PT. Angkasa Pura 2, yang dikembangkan dengan tujuan untuk memudahkan pengurusan perjalanan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganlisis pengaruh karakteristik konten dengan penerimaan pengguna pada aplikasi Travelation. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan metode survei online. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, dari kelima karakteristik konten, yakni keuntungan, kesesuaian, kerumitan, observabilitas, dan akurasi data, dapat diterima dengan baik oleh pengguna. Pengguna juga merasa bahwa aplikasi Travelation memberikan manfaat sehingga menerima kehadiran aplikasi berbasis web itu. Pengujian hipotesis membuktikan, terdapat pengaruh antara karakteristik konten dengan penerimaan pengguna. Untuk perbaikan, aplikasi Travelation diharapkan memperbarui informasi serta meningkatkan keakuratan data.

Abstract

The research background relates to the intergroup conflicts involving some street gangs in Johar Baru Sub District, Central Jakarta. Most of the street gangs in Johar Baru Sub District have each territory. Small matters from mocking one another, miscommunication to rumors which jeopardize the power of the street gangs, can trigger a serious thing: brawls with high fatality rate for several days. The research aims to analyze the pattern of rivalry and alliance network established among the street gangs. This study uses a quantitative approach. The research methods analyzed ego-centered communication networks. After analyzing the communication networks, the inter-group mapping was obtained and in turn, it would be useful as a means of a communication intervention to reduce and prevent inter-group conflicts. Data collection was carried out in a kind of a census towards 40 street gangs in Johar Baru Sub-District and it got the support of the in-depth interviews with several key informants. Research results shows: the communication networks analysis reveal that rivalry and alliance among the street gangs have positioned Gembrong street gang as the centre of rivalry and alliance with the radial communication pattern indices of low network density (10.71 for the rivalry network; 0.00 for the alliance network) and low network closure (0.10 for rivalry network and 0.00 for alliance network). This research contributes to identify which groups have a bigger role in intergroup conflicts.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how to use social media as a means of marketing communication for Femiaura Beauty to increase brand addiction, especially in the Tangerang Serpong area. The research method used is a qualitative method with observation and interviews. The interviews conducted were validated using triangulation of data sources. Respondents in this study were owners of Femiaura Beauty, 3 employees of Femiaura Beauty, and 7 customers of Femiaura Beauty. The collected data is analyzed using The Circular Mode of Somee analysis model, including elements of share, optimize, manage, engagement. The results showed that Femiaura beauty has used social media as a means of marketing communication well. Sales generated from social media are increasing. Many customers also promote word of mouth, review on social media, and recommend to their friends. In addition, with the existence of social media, customers become easier to communicate, no need to come to the treatment center. In conclusion, social media can be used as a means of communication in increasing brand addiction. Keywords: Brand Addiction, E-Marketing, Social Media

Abstract

This research aims to determine how much the influence between news exposure and news credibility of omicron on Kompas.com toward DKI Jakarta students’ healthy behavior, both partially and simultaneously. This research uses a quantitative approach with an online survey method to 100 respondents as a sample. Statistical test using SPSS 25 versions. This research using uses and gratification theory as the theoretical basis. The result showed that there is a significant and positive influence between the news exposure of COVID-19 omicron variant toward student’ healthy behavior about 11.6%, otherwise there is a significant and positive influence between the news credibility of omicron on Kompas.com toward student’s healthy behavior about 22.24%, and simultaneously have a significant and positive influence between the news exposure of COVID-19 omicron variant and news credibility of omicron on Kompas.com toward student’s healthy behavior about 33.4% and 66.6% the rest is another variable that not examined in this research. In conclusion, all hypotheses in this research. Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Recommendations in this research were Kompas.com can be able to present news that is more trustworthy to the public so that the credibility of the media will be higher and more and more people will actively choose to use Kompas.com media as a medium to meet their information needs. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh terpaan berita dan kredibilitas pemberitaan omicron pada Kompas.com terhadap perilaku sehat mahasiswa DKI Jakarta, baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei yang disebarkan secara daring kepada 100 responden yang menjadi sampel pada penelitian ini. Uji statistik penelitian ini menggunakan SPSS versi 25. Teori yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah uses and gratifications theory. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dan positif pada variabel terpaan berita sebesar 11,6% terhadap perilaku sehat, selain itu terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dan positif pada variabel kredibilitas pemberitaan omicron pada Kompas.com sebesar 22,24% terhadap perilaku sehat mahasiswa, dan secara simultan variabel terpaan berita dan kredibilitas pemberitaan omicron pada Kompas.com terhadap perilaku sehat mahasiswa menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh sebesar 33,4% dan 66,6% sisanya merupakan variabel lain yang tidak dijelaskan dalam penelitian ini. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa seluruh hipotesis pada penelitian ini Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Rekomendasi pada penelitian ini adalah Kompas.com dapat mampu menyajikan berita-berita yang lebih dapat dipercaya oleh masyarakat sehingga kredibilitas media akan semakin tinggi dan semakin banyak masyarakat yang secara aktif memilih untuk menggunakan media Kompas.com sebagai media untuk memenuhi kebutuhan akan informasinya.

Abstract

Eksklusivitas merupakan hal yang sangat langka di komunitas game PC, dan langkah yang dilakukan oleh Epic Games, menciptakan konflik yang baru di platform PC. Karena Steam memiliki user mayoritas di platform PC, banyak PC Gamers yang tidak dapat membeli gim baru yang mereka inginkan di dalam aplikasi store yang mereka sudah pakai sejak lama dan sukai, karena banyak yang beralih eksklusif ke Epic Games. Forum diskusi dan halaman ulasan yang seharusnya membahas hal seputar gim tersebut menjadi platform untuk menyampaikan kritik dan amarah para PC Gamers karena mereka tidak setuju dengan langkah penerbit dan pengembang. Dengan Maksim Percakapan Grice dan metode Analisis Percakapan, peneliti ingin melihat ragam jenis pelanggaran dan implikasi yang muncul di dalam percakapan forum di Steam Discussion HITMAN 2. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa setiap maksim yang dilanggar memunculkan implikasi tersendiri dan percakapan pun berubah menjadi perdebatan yang toksik diantara para pengguna yang pro dan kontra. Selama Epic Games masih membuka pintu bagi para pengembang gim untuk release eksklusif di aplikasi peluncur mereka, perdebatan toksik tidak akan berhenti.

Abstract

Virtual communication that occurs between Ragnarok X: Next Generation game players occurs when they are members of a guild. The diversity of cultures and social structures creates many communication gaps between players. This study aims to determine the process of virtual communication that occurs between different ROX players. This research uses the methodvirtual ethnography with a qualitative approach in reaching the world of online game players. The players communicate via WhatsApp and the Discord application, but the players don't talk about the technicalities of the game, they discuss things outside the game so there's no dispute. ROX players do not experience deindividuation such as loss of self-awareness, self-change where players distance themselves from the group. It can be concluded that not all online games have a bad impact on individuals depending on the individual's response to playing these online games. The suggestion from this research is that online game players don't experience deindividuation, they can focus ongame however, when in the real world the player becomes himself, not a character in the online game.

Abstract

Local brands in Indonesia today are growing and competitive and in this competition, various appropriate marketing communication strategies are needed, where this is needed to build attention from potential consumers. One of the local brands from Indonesia is Erigo, a company that has recently been discussed by internet users because one of its marketing strategies is to place advertisements in Time Square, New York. Advertising is one of the digital marketing strategies that serves to attract the attention of potential consumers through information on products and services offered to stick in the minds of consumers. Through a qualitative approach with an interpretive paradigm using Laura R. Oswald's marketing semiotics method, it was found that through the short advertisement "Fireflies", Erigo wanted to show the target audience and their target market, young people or millennials, to have enthusiasm, motivation and belief. high self-esteem in exploring their curiosity, one of which can be done by real action from their energetic nature. This energetic nature becomes an ideology (cultural categories) that Erigo wants to convey to its target market, which are young people who aim to convey an invitation to dare to explore new things to find hope and identity related to exploratory (cultural tensions). Exploratory is meant here is a sense of freedom (emotional territories) where this is necessary for them to inflame the energetic they have.

Abstract

Intergroup conflict with the manifestation of brawls are a routine occurrence in Johar Baru Sub-District. Efforts to reconcile the warring parties often fail. Alternative mediation actually comes from Jakmania which offers a new narrative to create peace through collaboration with conflicting parties. This study aims to analyze collaborative communication practices in mediating conflicts between street gangs in Johar Baru Sub-District. To answer the research objectives, this study used a qualitative approach with the case study method. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with several informants concerned with peace in Johar Baru Sub-District. The results show that the actors involved in conflict mediation are diverse, including security forces, government officials, community forums, and Jakmania. The deadlock in mediation by the police, RW heads and opinion leaders opened up space for 'fringe' actors, namely Jakmania to mediate, and succeed because peace became more lasting/ maintained. The key to Jakmania's success was the use of collaboration, not contestation. Collaborative communication practices by Jakmania are implemented through the stages of persuasion, dialogue and collaborative communication at the same time. This study concludes that fringe actors such as football club supporter can be alternative mediators in resolving conflicts. This research contributes to: First, the use of collaborative communication as part of strategic communication in communication science. Second, the emergence of alternative actors and their mediation patterns in mediating and resolving similar conflicts elsewhere.
