Abstract

The development of the modern age is a lot of changes in education is the paradigm of teacher-centered learninginto student-centered learning which has a very important role in maximizing its competence in classroom management. One of the lessons in chemistry education that has problems is organic chemistry courses. Based onthe reflections applied to teachers and students "What has been gained from the learning process?", "What is thevalue obtained while the process is underway?" And "What will be done next (implementation)?". The results arestill very unsatisfactory, this is due to the limited ability of lecturers in the learning process. Associated with these conditions, then of course required intensive changes and planned for comprehensive improvement associated with the input to be generated. Efforts to be made is to improve the paradigm of learning. The selected learning paradigm is Reflective Pedagogy Paradigm (PPR). Reflective Pedagogy Paradigm was chosen because based on the results of research can improve the performance of lecturers in teaching, improve the readiness of lecturers in teaching, and make students able to reflect the learning process, and students become more active. The research was conducted following a workshop with lecturers who have implemented Reflective Pedagogy at Sanata Dharma University Yogyakarta. Stages in Reflective Pedagogy are context, experience, reflection, action and evaluation. It is expected by the end of two meetings. To be able to apply PPR, a lecturer needs to be equipped with special training on PPR-based teaching strategies as well asreflection skills (ICAJE, 1993, Gwaza et al., 2010; Schaub-de Jong dkk.2011; Wijoyo et al., 2016). Based on the results of the teacher reflection, it is increasingly realized that the preparation of learningis very important, and it is realized. While based on the results of reflection students stated that the purpose oflearning is clear, the material relevant to the profession of students, and understanding of the material becomeseasier, and the moral values for students. This case study is also in line with previous research that John Dewey(1933), He argued that learning from experience is enriched by reflecting on experience and Donald A. Schön (1987) theorized that reflective practice represents an important factor to improve professional activity. Jack Mezirow, (1991, 2000) gives reflection a central role in learning because through it we become aware of the ways in which we interpret reality and give meaning to actions and behavior. Writing-to-learn tasks should encourage students to conceptualize writing in a way that emphasizes exploration, expressive inquiry, discovery, problem-solving, decision making and knowledge construction.Key Word: Reflective Pedagogy Paradigm, case study, Organic Subject

Abstract

The design of the "chemistry laboratory" application program based on macromedia flash programming was made because there was no media extending learning to support laboratory management courses that contained applications. The development of IT-based learning media (applications) in the world of lectures needs to be developed becausestudents' interest in technology is more popular than written media or the like. This study aims to design application programs based on macromedia flash programming as learning media for laboratory management courses. The method used in this study uses the R & D(Reserch and Development) method using the 4D model namely Define (Design), Design (Design), Develop (Development), Desseminate (Dissemination), this research is carried out up to the Design (Design) stage. The results of this study are the design of a chemistrylaboratory application program based on macromedia flash programming as a learning media for laboratory management subjects.Keywords: learning media, macromedia flash, 4D models

Abstract

Rumah produksi pro-lingkungan  dibangun, berdasarkan persoalan sampah yang terjadi di kampus. Sampah yang menumpuk sangat beragam, meliputi limbah organic dan anorganik. Sampah yangmuncul dapat disebabkan oleh sisa-sisa kertas, plastic, dll yang dibuang oleh karyawan dan penghuni lainnya. Sampah organik dapat terjadi sebagai hasil pembuangan dari kantin, daun-daun yang berserakan, limbah sebagai dampak praktikum dari suatu matakuliah, atau lainnya.  Sampah yang dihasilkan baik sebagai akibat aktifitas manusia atau alam, merupakan suplai limbah yang harus ditangani secara serius. Persoalan di atas juga terjadi di kampus Unimus. Cara penanganan sampahyang dilakukan oleh Unimus, dilakukan dengan cara dibakar. Pembakaran sampah, justru semakin menambah persoalan baru karena berdampak pencemaran lingkungan terutama polusi udara yang ditimbulkan. Namun jika tidak segera diatasi dalam waktu dua hari saja, bau sampah yang tidak sedap akan sangat mengganggu dan sampah berceceran dimana-mana. Persoalan di atas harus segera diatasi melalui pendirian Rumah Produksi Pro-Lingkungan. Rumah ini dibangun sebagai alternatifterhadap persoalan sampah yang berbasis lingkungan. Keberadaan Rumah Produksi Pro-Lingkungan ini, memiliki tujuan ganda, yaitu: selain tertanganinyya persoalan sampah, juga memberikan keuntungan ptofit bagi universitas. Selain itu keberadaan Rumah Produksi Pro-Lingkungan dapat dijadikan sebagai laboratorium dan sumber belajar. Beberapa matakuliah yang terkait dengan lingkungan dapat memanfaatkannya. Sekolah-sekolah terdekat dapat memanfaatkannya pula untuk pembelajaran. Secara bertahap Rumah Produksi Pro-Lingkungan dapat dijadikan sebagai rujukan diskusi, pembelajaran dan edukasi. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of problem based instruction learning model with ethnicscience approach to students' learning achievement on stoichiometric material. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with the times series design. Determination of the sample using purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques were carried out by measuring question instruments, observations, and open interviews, as well as student response questionnaires. The pretest and posttest implementation in this study was conducted four times. The results of the study obtained the value of N-Gain at each pretest and posttest which was carried out four times. The first N-gain is 0.788, the second N-Gain is 0.785, the third N-Gain is 0.774, and the fourth NGainis 0.753. The fourth value of N-Gain is in the high category. To test thehypothesis, non-parametric t-test is used because the data obtained is not normal. Based on the t test that has been done, it is obtained data of sig 2 tailed value of 0.00. It can be concluded that there is a significant effect on the use of problem based instruction learning models with ethnains approach to student achievement on stoichiometric material. This model is also effective in improving students' learning achievement on stoichiometric material as seen from the high number of effect sizes, namely 98%, 98%, 96%, and 95%. Individual and classical completeness tests obtain results of 79.55 and 85.64% respectively and can be categorized completely. Abstract

Environmental education is an aspect of education for students who are important to support life in the future. In the learning process there are several factors that influence success in learning. One of them is the ability factor of teaching from a teacher include material, method and learning media. However, there are important factors that need to be considered, namely the ability of teachers to reflect themselves during the learning process. Therefore it is necessary for the research to know the reflection of teachers in the learning process. This study aims to determine the effect of teacher reflection on student learning outcomes. The study involved as many as 15 students of English education. Data obtained in the form of student reflection data, questionnaire value of proenvironment attitudes. The data obtained were analyzed using Paired Samples T-Test. The results showed that the process of reflection that has not been optimal can’t improve the quality of learning.Keywords: pro-environment, reflection of paradigm pedagogy, lecturer, learning

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengembangkan buku petunjuk praktikum kimia berbasis guided inquiry yang valid, praktis, dan mendapat tanggapan positif dari penggunanya. Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Research and Development. Desain ini menggunakan Three-D Models yaitu Define, Design, and Development. Namun, pada artikel ini data yang dibahas adalah data yang diperoleh dari tahap Development. Pengumpulan data pada tahap Development menggunakan metode angket dan dokumentasi. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakanmetode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Secara kuantitatif, data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan cara menghitung rerata skor dan menentukan kriteria pada interval kelas tertentu. Hasil analisis data tersebut menunjukkan bahwa buku petunjuk praktikum kimia berbasis guided inquiry memperoleh rerata skor uji kepraktisan peserta didik sebesar 38,8 yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat praktis. Hasil rerata skor uji kepraktisan guru sebesar 66 yang termasuk dalam kategori praktis. Penilaian ini bersifat menyeluruh untuk kedua buku yangdikembangkan. Selain itu, data angket uji keterlaksanaan memperoleh skor 38 yang menunjukkan bahwa buku petunjuk praktikum kimia berbasis guided inquiry mendapat tanggapan positif dari penggunanya. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa buku petunjuk praktikum kimia berbasis guided inquiry dinyatakan praktis dan mendapat tanggapan positif dari penggunanya sehingga dapat diterapkan dalam pembelajaran kimia. Abstract

It also can foster the sense of love of country and proud of the local culture owned jono village. This study aims to know needs analysis students and teachers on the development of a pop-up book as a medium learning primary school student based indigenous science local wisdom farmers salt jono village, and developed. The development of this pop-up book research methods have research and development with the procedures used the development of which is a modification of 4d model that was triggered by thiagarajan (1974). The stage that have been conducted by namely define and design. During the preparatory phase of define the results showedthat knowledge of the production process salt in the village jono not yet used as the theme of primary school in their experiences in the. The procurement of media that are contextual and fun is really needed by the educator in the process of learning to support students understanding of the subject matter. A literature review and field work was carried out by means of interview, observation, and documentation. Based in pop-up book indigenous science local wisdom farmers salt jono village is hoped can be alternative media learning that can be used educator in creating an atmosphere of learning which interactive and fun and easy to understand students .Keywords: pop-up book, local wisdom, farmers salt Jono village, the learning.

Abstract

The availability of clean water is a basic need for the community. Meteseh Urban Village is one of the areas that get medium water drainage from PDAM Semarang, so that the drainage of water is rotated, that is the drainage of a day with the flowing time at certain hours. Consequences that must be done by citizens who mostly subscribe to PDAM is to prepare the upper and lower tandon so that when the water does not flow there is still water stock. During the rainy season, when the rainfall is high enough people do not use it to be accommodated in the lower tank because it still contains dirt, germs and pH can be below 7. The purpose of this study is the use of the lower reservoir for the provision of clean water from rain water by applying the water filter pipe method arranged. The methods used are preparation of tools and materials, Socialization, Counseling and Training, Practice of pipe filtering, Counseling and Evaluation activities and installation of a pipe-level water filter method at the lower tanks owned by representatives of neighborhood RT 02 and RT 03, RW 11 sub-districts Meteseh. Pipe filter is compiled using materials that are easy to get by citizens and environmentally friendly are ijuk, gravel, sand, coconut shell charcoal, and spoon. The results of this research are: the community has used rain water as clean water, reducing the burden of PDAM water usage,the utilization of natural adsorbent so that people are able to implement independently and sustainably. The community is able to install and operate the filters easily. The use of sand adsorbents can provide higher clarity.Keywords: Water filter, pipeline, Water Tandon, PDAM, Natural Adsorbent

Abstract

Profesionalisme guru penting dalam menunjang proses pembelajaran di kelas. Indonesia adalah negara dengan kualitas pendidikan yang belum baik. Banyak faktor yang menyebabkan hal tersebut. Salah satu faktor adalah Sumber Daya Manusia, Guru. Seorang pendidik di sekolah dituntut memiliki 3 kompetensi wajib  yaitu  pedagodik,  social  dan professional. Pada  kompetensi  pedagogic menjadi kebutuhan mutlak bagi seorang guru. Untuk menjadi guru yang mampu mengajar di kelas dengan baik membutuhkan pengalaman yang cukup banyak dan waktu yang lama. Namun, jika harus demikian makan kebutuhan guru di lapangan  akan  sulit  terpenuhi.  Ada  salah  satu  cara  yang  mampu  untuk membantu meningkatkan kapasitas guru dalam mengajar. Alternatif tersebut berupa kemampuan refleksi diri seorang guru. Kebiasaan refleksi yang saat ini ada  pada  beberapa  guru  di  Indonesia  masih  sedikit,  salah  satunya  “Lesson study”, namun jumlah komunitas ini tidak begitu banyak, Oleh karena itu untuk mengetahui berbagai bentuk relfeksi guru yang ada di Indonesia diperlukan suatau  penelitian  untuk  memetakan  kondisi  tersebut.  Penelitian  ini  adalah Review Reasearch dengan objek berbagai artikel hasil penelitian di Indonesia yang meneliti tentang “refleksi” guru dalam pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil review   artikel   penelitian   diperoleh   banwa   bentuk-bentuk   refleksi   yang dilakukan  guru  di  Indonesia  berupa:  jurnal  reflksi,  refleksi  wawancara, konfrensi observasi temanejawat, diskusi group, Video, Blok, dan portofolio elektronik. Abstract

Magnesium hidroksida mempunyai prospek dan manfaat sebagai bahan baku penyimpan gas hidrogen, bahan baku pembuatan magnesium oksida (MgO), dan obat maag. Magnesium dipisahkan berdasarkan metode elektrolisis. Hasilnya berupa magnesium hidroksida. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengendapkan magnesium hidroksida melalui sistem elektrolisis dan menentukan pengaruh voltase terhadap rendemen hasil elektrolisis berupa Mg(OH)2. Sel elektrolisis terdiri dari 2-kompartemen, satu kompartemen berisi larutan Bittern di katoda dan kompartemen lain berisi larutan KOH pada anoda. Elektrolisis menggunakan tabung U yang disekat jembatan garam KCl, Elektroda berupa grafit dan potensial terpasang bervariasi mulai 3, 6, 9, dan 12 volt selama 120 menit. Magnesium hidroksida dikarakterisasi menggunakan spektrofotometer IR dan AAS. Penggunaan voltase terpasang 3 sampai 9 volt meningkatkan endapan Mg(OH)2 hasil elektrolisis tetapi pada voltase 12 volt terjadi penurunan endapan magnesium hidroksida.  Rendemen tertinggi yang dihasilkan pada penggunaan voltase sebesar 99,59%. Hasil analisis kadar Magnesium diperoleh 51,26%. Spektra IR Mg(OH)2 hasil elektrolisis dengan spektra IR Mg(OH)2 standar memiliki kemiripan bentuk spektra. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa endapan hasil elektrolisis merupakan Mg(OH)2. Kata kunci: voltase, bittern, elektrolisis, magnesium hidroksida
