Abstract

Abstrak: Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan literasi pola hidup efisien kepada generasi milenial melalui talkshow manajemen waktu dan manajemen keuangan, serta menanamkan pola pikir proaktif, adaptif dan kreatif. Pengabdian ini menyasar aspek kognitif, afektif, ditambah aspek behavioral mitra PPM yakni anggota organisasi Purna Prakarya Muda Indonesia (PPMI) Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) yang berjumlah 18 orang. Pengabdian diawali dengan melakukan survey lapangan untuk menentukan persoalan yang hendak dipecahkan. Identifikasi masalah dilakukan bersama dengan mitra agar upaya pemecahan masalah dapat dilakukan tepat sasaran. Pelaksanaan pengabdian dikemas dalam bentuk talkshow daring dengan dua narasumber. Peserta juga diberikan pendampingan untuk melaksanakan kampanye menggunakan materi hasil diskusi. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan mengukur tingkat pemahaman dan sikap yang terbentuk pada peserta sasaran. Hasil pelaksanaan pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa 77,7% peserta sangat memahami materi yang disampaikan dan meyakini bahwa mengatur pola hidup efisien adalah penting untuk mempersiapkan kehidupan di masa mendatang. Sebanyak 39% peserta melakukan ajakan melakukan pola hidup efisien melalui kampanye di media sosial.Abstract: This service aims to provide efficient lifestyle literacy to the millennial generation through time management and financial management talkshow, as well as instilling a proactive, adaptive, and creative mindset. This service targets the cognitive, affective, and behavioral aspects of PPM partners, namely the 18 members of the Purna Prakarya Muda Indonesia (PPMI) Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY) organization. The service begins with conducting a field survey to determine the problem to be solved. Problem identification is carried out together with partners so that problem-solving efforts can be carried out on target. The implementation of the service is packaged in the form of an online talkshow with two speakers. Participants were also assisted to carry out the campaign using the material from the discussion. Evaluation is done by measuring the level of understanding and attitudes formed in the target participants. The results of the service implementation showed that 77.7% of participants understood the material presented and believed that managing an efficient lifestyle was important to prepare for life in the future. As many as 39% of participants made an invitation to have an efficient lifestyle through campaigns on social media.

Abstract

The article of this study describes the problems and needs on Correspondence learning at Office Administration Vocational Schools in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The research was conducted with qualitative approach. Data collection using interview technique and focus group discussion. The subjects consisted of teachers of Correspondence subjects at Office Administration Vocational Schools in Special Region of Yogyakarta. The result of the research shows that there are problems in Correspondence learning at Office Administration Vocational Schools in Yogyakarta Special Region on curriculum, teacher, student, media, teaching materials, and method. To solve these problems, the teachers of Correspondence at Office Administration Vocational Schools in Yogyakarta Special Region need the latest technical guidance of curriculum, business English training, media of Correspondence learningbased on information technology, and Correspondence learning material according to the latest curriculum.Artikel hasil penelitian ini memaparkan permasalahan dan kebutuhan pembelajaran Korespondensi pada SMK Kompetensi Keahlian Administrasi Perkantoran di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara dan focus group discussion. Subyek penelitian terdiri atas guru-guru mata pelajaran Korespondensi SMK Kompetensi Keahlian Administrasi Perkantoran di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada permasalahan dalam pembelajaran Korespondensi SMK Kompetensi Keahlian Administrasi Perkantoran di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta pada aspek kurikulum, guru, siswa, media, bahan ajar, dan metode. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut guru mata pelajaran Korespondensi SMK Kompetensi Keahlian Administrasi Perkantoran di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta membutuhkan bimbingan teknis kurikulum terbaru, pelatihan bahasa Inggris bisnis, media pembelajaran Korespondensi berbasis teknologi informasi, dan bahan ajar pembelajaran Korespondensi yang sesuai dengan kurikulum terbaru.

Abstract

This Community Service Activity aims to provide insight and provision to final-level vocational students at the Wates campus, Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta. The activities include; online seminars and mentoring in making curriculum vitae, job application letters, and preparing for online interviews. The activity was carried out through three stages of activity, namely preparation, implementation and evaluation. Preparation is carried out by conducting a needs survey for final year students regarding work preparation. The implementation is carried out by training and mentoring, using the lecture method, namely through organizing online seminar activities through the Zoom application entitled "Preparing for the world of work in the New Normal era", followed by question and answer discussions and training and mentoring as a form of implementing the training that has been provided. Evaluation of activities is carried out for each stage through data collection from each stage of activity. The method used in this stage of community service implementation includes seminars and mentoring. This method provides an opportunity to equip trainees to prepare for work in a period of adapting to new habits which include self-development and work readiness ethics, how to see job opportunities in the pandemic era, making creative CVs and job applications, and tips on preparing for job interviews via online.

Abstract

The neatness of family archives is still underestimated by the community. A well-managed family archive can provide convenience in finding the family data needed. Negligence in tidying the archives is due to a lack of knowledge and awareness of the community in family archives. This community service provides literacy training on family archives to school of future father and mother’s students. The debriefing was carried out for one month with two stages of implementation. The first stage uses the workshop method, where the service team provides materials and training on procedures for storing archives manually and digitally. Second, using the mentoring method, where participants carry out practice and are directly accompanied by a service team. Of the 19 students who attended the debriefing, 100% stated that the service was very useful and felt that they had an awareness of the family archive. 63% of participants continued to the mentoring stage and 18% of participants were able to complete manual and digital family file fireplaces properly. The process of tidying up family archives requires sufficient time and knowledge so that in the future participants can be given more time so that they can tidy up archives to the maximum.

Abstract

Instilling the character values is realized through a learning process that aims to equip graduates with job readiness and help internalize values for student life on campus and in society. This study aims to investigate the effects of giving soft skills training on student character development. The research respondents consisted of 148 students. This study employed a quantitative approach. Primary data were gathered using a questionnaire. The data validity utilized content validity and item validation with product moment Pearson correlation analysis. Data analysis used paired-sample tests. The results show that there was a significant difference in the student’s character before and after obtaining soft skill materials. Student character values are better after being given soft skill training than before getting soft skill training.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the teaching readiness level of pre-service teachers from the Economics Education, Accounting Education, and Office Administration Education study programs and the discrepancy between them. Ex post facto research design was applied in this study with quantitative approach. Pre-service teachers from educational study programs in the Faculty of Economics Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta that have completed micro teaching and educational practice courses were involved as the population in the present study. A total of 262 pre-service teachers were selected as the samples using purposive random sampling method. A questionnaire was used to collect the data. The instrument validity was confirmed using exploratory factor analysis, while the reliability was estimated using Cronbach Alpha. The data were analyzed statistically using descriptive quantitative and Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA). The result showed that the teaching readiness of the pre-service teachers from the Economic Education, Accounting Education, and Office Administration Education study programs were in the “excellent” category, and no significant differences were found on their teaching readiness level. The results indicated that each study program showed a similar performance in providing the pre-service teachers with an appropriate level of teaching readiness. Grounded on the research results, it is suggested to maintain the schooling pattern for all educational study programs for an in-depth study in the future with different characteristics of each study program.

Abstract

Training is a form of employee development toward achieving the vision and mission of an organization. The process toward achieving vision and mission is inseparable from various challenges such as: technological development, politic, social, and the demand for good quality service. In order to get the right balance as a result of those challenges, the existence of qualified human resoure that meet the required qualification needs to be taken into account in order to obtain effective work as demanded by either internal and external stakeholder. One of the efforts that can done is by improving the training management. Trainig will be more effective when it is capable of transforming one’s attitudes to meet the organizational goals. In accordance to that, there are some stages needed to be done : 1) planning stage which involves needs analysis, setting objectives for the training management development, the material/curriculum, time/duration of training, trainer and method of training, 2) the training which involves setting the committee either in organizing committee, those belong to the training organization and sterring committee, those immediately in charge of the training, 3) evaluation stage can be conducted through the following alternatives: post test, pretest/post test, or multiple pretest/multiplepost test, or post training action plan. Abstract

The tourism business is one of the pioneers of foreign exchange. The involvement of tour guides contributes to the progress of the tourism business. For this reason, tour guides need to demonstrate their quality of professional performance in the form of providing excellent service. Tourist satisfaction is a measure of service success. To maximize service potential, the community service team provides mentoring of excellent service for the Indonesian Tour Guides Association/ Himpunan Pramuwisata Indonesia (HPI) in Karimunjawa District. The program was carried out for three days and using the mentoring method. Mentoring begins with a workshop on the first day, by providing material related to excellent service. Afterward, live mentoring was carried out for two days. This community service is considered to be able to increase guide knowledge about excellent service and can evaluate guides when carrying out services. As many as 43.3% of participants fully understood the material presented and 53.3% of participants were able to practice excellent service well.

Abstract

Berdasarkan Undang-Undang Nomor 7 Tahun 2014 Tentang Perdagangan, Pasal 47 ayat (1), bahwa setiap importir wajib mengimpor barang dalam keadaan baru. Faktanya bisnis ini justru semakin marak dan diminati masyarakat. Tidak terkecuali pada masa pandemi Covid 19, baik masyarakat ekonomi lemah, orang kaya maupun artis, senang berbelanja pakaian import bekas. Dilakukannya penelitian ini agar paham tentang psikologi perilaku konsumen pakaian import bekas di Jakarta, khususnya tentang dasar pemahaman bagi persepsi konsumen pakaian import bekas. Tujuan penelitian yaitu mengetahui ragam dasar pemahaman bagi persepsi konsumen dalam memilih lokasi tempat penjualan pakaian import bekas di kawasan Jakarta pada masa pandemi Covid-19, dan untuk mengetahui pengalaman konsumen dalam memilih lokasi tempat penjualan pakaian import bekas di kawasan Jakarta pada masa pandemi Covid-19. Metode penelitian adalah Fenomenologi mazhab Maurice Merleau Ponty, dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan jual beli pakaian impor bekas telah berkembang di Indonesia sejak tahun 90an dan mengalami perkembangan yang baik sehingga dapat bertahan hingga sekarang. Trend trifting pakaian bekas impor pada masa saat ini menjadi sebuah keharusan yang dilakukan dalam mencari pakaian bekas impor dari semua kalangan.. Lokasi strategis seperti di pinggir jalan, dekat dengan tempat fasilitas umum membuat para kosumen betah untuk melakukan kegiatan trif shop pakaian bekas impor.

Abstract

Teaching Factory (TEFA) Learning Model is a means of improving students' skills to meet the qualifications required by the workplace. There is a discrepancy between the output performance criteria of vocational school graduates and the job qualifications required in the industry. The industrial world is rapidly advancing in technology and information, while schools are struggling to provide adequate laboratory and practical facilities. This study examined the students’ perspectives on TEFA learning in service production units in vocational schools to prepare them considering graduate work readiness (GWR). The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with the data collection techniques utilizing in-depth interviews and observations. The research participants were students at vocational schools joining the TEFA teaching and learning program. The collected data were then validated using source triangulation. The data analysis followed a qualitative method with an interactive model as realized in several stages: data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusions.  The findings showed that students' perspectives on TEFA learning inform added values in 3 domains: 1) knowledge, 2) skills, and 3) attitudes. Furthermore, TEFA learning provided students with the necessary competencies which align with the performance criteria required by the industry, boosted their self-confidence and learning motivation, and fostered a mental attitude of independence, responsibility, and self-efficacy in meeting industrial needs.
