Abstract

This Community Service Activity aims to provide insight and provision to final-level vocational students at the Wates campus, Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta. The activities include; online seminars and mentoring in making curriculum vitae, job application letters, and preparing for online interviews. The activity was carried out through three stages of activity, namely preparation, implementation and evaluation. Preparation is carried out by conducting a needs survey for final year students regarding work preparation. The implementation is carried out by training and mentoring, using the lecture method, namely through organizing online seminar activities through the Zoom application entitled "Preparing for the world of work in the New Normal era", followed by question and answer discussions and training and mentoring as a form of implementing the training that has been provided. Evaluation of activities is carried out for each stage through data collection from each stage of activity. The method used in this stage of community service implementation includes seminars and mentoring. This method provides an opportunity to equip trainees to prepare for work in a period of adapting to new habits which include self-development and work readiness ethics, how to see job opportunities in the pandemic era, making creative CVs and job applications, and tips on preparing for job interviews via online.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pelaksanaan Fungsi Hubungan Masyarakat dan Publisitas pada Organisasi Non-Profit. Dewasa ini, tidak hanya organisasi profit yang menjalankan berbagai macam strategi pemasaran untuk menjaring konsumen. Organisasi non-profit pun juga melakukan berbagai strategi pemasaran agar tetap eksis, sehingga dapat mendatangkan sejumlah donatur. Salah satu strategi pemasaran yang digunakan adalah dengan menjalankan fungsi hubungan masyarakat (humas) dan publisitas. Pos Keadilan Peduli Umat (PKPU) menjalankan fungsi humas dan publisitas, meskipun secara struktur tidak memiliki devisi humas. Peran fungsi humas dan publisitas dijalankan oleh bidang kemitraan. Hasil wawancara dan observasi menunjukkan bahwa fungsi humas dan publisitas yang dijalankan oleh PKPU Yogyakarta, antara lain; persconference, publikasi melalui media sosial, dan bekerjasama dengan media radio. Sasaran dari program tersebut adalah para donatur dan masyarakat secara luas. Tujuannya adalah agar dapat membangun citra yang baik, sehingga donatur dan masyarakat dapat berdonasi melalui PKPU Yogyakarta. Abstract: Implementation of Public Relations and Publicity Functions in Non-Profit Organizations. Today, not only profit organizations run various kinds of marketing strategies to attract consumers. Non-profit organizations also carry out various marketing strategies in order to continue to exist, so that they can bring in a number of donors. One of the marketing strategies used is to carry out public relations and publicity functions. The Community Care Justice Post (PKPU) carries out public relations and publicity functions, even though structurally there is no public relations division. The role of public relations and publicity functions is carried out by the partnership sector. The results of interviews and observations indicate that the functions of public relations and publicity run by PKPU Yogyakarta, among others; persconference, publication through social media, and collaborating with radio media. The objectives of the program are donors and the community at large. The aim is to build a good image, so donors and the community can donate through PKPU Yogyakarta.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pandemi Covid-19 berdampak pada penjualan konvensional yang dilakukan oleh Badan Usaha Milik Masyarakat (Bummas) Tirta Mandiri, Jogotirto, Berbah, Sleman. Agar dapat tetap mendapatkan keuntungan, anggota Bummas perlu beradaptasi dengan perkembangan teknologi dan informasi dengan mulai melakukan pemasaran digital. Salah satu bentuk pemasaran digital yang aman dan direkomendasikan adalah marketplace. Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keahlian pemasaran digital dengan menggunakan marketplace pada anggota Bummas. Adapun jumlah anggota Bummas yang mengikuti kegiatan ini berjumlah 25 orang. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu, pelatihan dan pendampingan. Kegiatan tersebut mulai dari membuat konten promosi, membuat akun, hingga memasarkan melalui marketplace. Hasil yang dicapai dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah 100% peserta menyatakan bahwa kemampuan hardskill dan softskill peserta meningkat. 100% peserta juga berhasil membuat akun marketplace dan memposting produk pertamanya. Berdasarkan evaluasi kegiatan, diperoleh masukan agar kegiatan pengabdian seperti ini dilaksanakan secara berkelanjutan dengan mengangkat tema lain yang relevan dengan kebutuhan khalayak. Abstract: The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted conventional sales carried out by Community-Owned Enterprises (Bummas) Tirta Mandiri, Jogotirto, Berbah, Sleman. To remain profitable, Bummas members need to adapt to developments in technology and information by starting to do digital marketing. One form of digital marketing that is safe and recommended in the marketplace. This community service activity aims to improve digital marketing skills by using the marketplace for Bummas members. The number of Bummas members who participated in this activity amounted to 25 people. The method of implementing this service activity is, training and mentoring. These activities range from creating promotional content, creating accounts, to marketing through the marketplace. The results achieved from this service activity are 100% of the participants stating that the participants' hard skills and soft skills have increased. 100% of participants also managed to create a marketplace account and post their first product. Based on the evaluation of activities, input was obtained so that service activities like this were carried out sustainably by raising other themes that were relevant to the needs of the audience.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan literasi pola hidup efisien kepada generasi milenial melalui talkshow manajemen waktu dan manajemen keuangan, serta menanamkan pola pikir proaktif, adaptif dan kreatif. Pengabdian ini menyasar aspek kognitif, afektif, ditambah aspek behavioral mitra PPM yakni anggota organisasi Purna Prakarya Muda Indonesia (PPMI) Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) yang berjumlah 18 orang. Pengabdian diawali dengan melakukan survey lapangan untuk menentukan persoalan yang hendak dipecahkan. Identifikasi masalah dilakukan bersama dengan mitra agar upaya pemecahan masalah dapat dilakukan tepat sasaran. Pelaksanaan pengabdian dikemas dalam bentuk talkshow daring dengan dua narasumber. Peserta juga diberikan pendampingan untuk melaksanakan kampanye menggunakan materi hasil diskusi. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan mengukur tingkat pemahaman dan sikap yang terbentuk pada peserta sasaran. Hasil pelaksanaan pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa 77,7% peserta sangat memahami materi yang disampaikan dan meyakini bahwa mengatur pola hidup efisien adalah penting untuk mempersiapkan kehidupan di masa mendatang. Sebanyak 39% peserta melakukan ajakan melakukan pola hidup efisien melalui kampanye di media sosial.Abstract: This service aims to provide efficient lifestyle literacy to the millennial generation through time management and financial management talkshow, as well as instilling a proactive, adaptive, and creative mindset. This service targets the cognitive, affective, and behavioral aspects of PPM partners, namely the 18 members of the Purna Prakarya Muda Indonesia (PPMI) Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY) organization. The service begins with conducting a field survey to determine the problem to be solved. Problem identification is carried out together with partners so that problem-solving efforts can be carried out on target. The implementation of the service is packaged in the form of an online talkshow with two speakers. Participants were also assisted to carry out the campaign using the material from the discussion. Evaluation is done by measuring the level of understanding and attitudes formed in the target participants. The results of the service implementation showed that 77.7% of participants understood the material presented and believed that managing an efficient lifestyle was important to prepare for life in the future. As many as 39% of participants made an invitation to have an efficient lifestyle through campaigns on social media.

Abstract

Adanya Pandemi Covid-19 berdampak pada usaha mikro yang dilakukan oleh ibu rumah tangga yang tergabung dalam PKK Kelurahan Imogiri, Bantul, Yogyakarta.  Social distancing yang diterapkan pemerintah menyebabkan penjualan mereka menurun. Diperlukan skill baru dalam adaptasi teknologi untuk tetap bertahan di era pandemi, yaitu melalui pemasaran digital. Marketplace adalah salah satu langkah untuk berjualan online dengan aman, mudah, dan mampu menjangkau banyak target customer.Tujuan kegiatan pemasaran masyarakat ini untuk meningkatkan skill ibu rumah tangga dalam berjualan online melalui marketplace. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu, pelatihan secara luring dengan mematuhi protocol kesehatan dan pendampingan secara daring melalui grup whatsapp. Kegiatan tersebut dimulai dari membuat foto produk, membuat akun, hingga memasarkannya melalui marketplace.Hasil yang dicapai dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah kegiatan pelatihan sangat relevan dengan kebutuhan khalayak sasaran, serta dapat dirasakan manfaatnya. Berdasarkan evaluasi kegiatan diperoleh masukan agar kegiatan pengabdian seperti ini dilaksanakan secara berkelanjutan dengan mengangkat tema lain yang relevan dengan kebutuhan khalayak.

Abstract

Gadget yang tidak digunakan secara bijak dan tanpa pengawasan dari orang tuanya, dapat memberikan dampak negatif pada perkembangan anak-anak. Perkembangan anak-anak dapat terganggu secara fisik, emosi, dan mental. Bahkan dapat menyebabkan kecanduan. Orang tua merupakan sosok penting yang diharapkan mampu mencegah kecanduan gadget pada anak. Orang tua di desa Ngampel kelurahan Hargobinangun, Pakem, Sleman mayoritas berprofesi sebagai petani. Walaupun berada di desa, anak-anak desa Ngampel sudah menggunakan gadget dengan akses internet.  Sayangnya, mayoritas orang tua belum melek digital. Artinya, banyak orang tua yang tidak mengetahui dampak gadget, sehingga membiarkan anak-anak mengakses gadget tanpa kontrol dan pengawasan. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan kesadaran kepada orang tua mengenai pentingnya melek digital. Metode pengabdian adalah penyuluhan, dimana terdiri dari tahap; persiapan, pelaksanaan penyuluhan, dan evaluasi. Penggunaan pengabdian dengan metode ini diharapkan orang tua dapat melek digital dan dapat merancang strategi untuk mengontrol dan mengawasi anak-anak yang mengakses gadget.

Abstract

The neatness of family archives is still underestimated by the community. A well-managed family archive can provide convenience in finding the family data needed. Negligence in tidying the archives is due to a lack of knowledge and awareness of the community in family archives. This community service provides literacy training on family archives to school of future father and mother’s students. The debriefing was carried out for one month with two stages of implementation. The first stage uses the workshop method, where the service team provides materials and training on procedures for storing archives manually and digitally. Second, using the mentoring method, where participants carry out practice and are directly accompanied by a service team. Of the 19 students who attended the debriefing, 100% stated that the service was very useful and felt that they had an awareness of the family archive. 63% of participants continued to the mentoring stage and 18% of participants were able to complete manual and digital family file fireplaces properly. The process of tidying up family archives requires sufficient time and knowledge so that in the future participants can be given more time so that they can tidy up archives to the maximum.

Abstract

Instilling the character values is realized through a learning process that aims to equip graduates with job readiness and help internalize values for student life on campus and in society. This study aims to investigate the effects of giving soft skills training on student character development. The research respondents consisted of 148 students. This study employed a quantitative approach. Primary data were gathered using a questionnaire. The data validity utilized content validity and item validation with product moment Pearson correlation analysis. Data analysis used paired-sample tests. The results show that there was a significant difference in the student’s character before and after obtaining soft skill materials. Student character values are better after being given soft skill training than before getting soft skill training.

Abstract

In new normal era, PKK Imogiri Bantul were feeling the impact caused by Covid-19. PKK women used WhatsApp stories to sell and promote their wares. However, digital marketing skills and abilities are needed to survive in this new normal era. Content marketing in digital marketing through social media has an important role in increasing attractiveness to consumers. The purpose of assisting in brand creation and marketing content is expected to increase product sales and expand the market segment of PKK women. The method of implementing this service activity is offline mentoring by complying with Health protocols and online mentoring through the whatsapp group. The evaluation showed 80% participants understood about well brand.
